This post is most definitely for @whoiwanttoday, who has pointed out Nonaka Miho to me in the past and informed me that I would be into her. Finally, last night I watched the first round of bouldering. I've not watched much (any?) competitive climbing, and whoah I've been missing out! It's very engaging to watch—especially they way they set up the bouldering where there are 4 routes side-by-side and the athletes come in waves to tackle each one. It's all really cool and so amazing to watch these incredible women solve climbing problems in different and unique ways. I honestly can't imagine how they do any of it. It seems superhuman to me. And ya, Nonaka Miho is such a joy to watch. She moves with such power and grace, tackling things that look impossible with an incredible ease. Her body is a perfect climbing machine and just soooo hot. And like, ya, she sure is gorgeous. I mean, lot's of these women are hot. It's a thing with athletes, really. But on top of that there's her beautiful face and incredible sense of style (her hair and how it kinda matches her outfit omg!) and yes, as @whoiwanttoday has pointed out... that smile wow. And then if its possible to cram any more things that are just for me in there, there's her sweater game, as shown above. I mean, fuck yes. I could have chosen a climbing pic, but the issue there is that I remove the backgrounds on my posters and the backgrounds on climbing pics are super important because they inform how ridiculous it is that these women are able to hang on to surfaces that seem completely impossible, and then often launch themselves to other surfaces. It's incredible. The background on this selfie was much less impressive, so I felt good replacing it. Today's girlcrushart guardian is Nonaka Miho.

Yesterday I talked about the joy of seeing the American women in tears from winning the gold but what I didn't mention is how hard it can be to see someone utterly crushed when they lose. Brazil took it hard yesterday and there are always people for whom this is their last Olympics. For some it's their only Olympics. It's the nature of the beast that you have the one winner and a lot of losers and that's really hard. You hope it doesn't bother them too much long term and they can focus on the joy of getting as high as they did and bask in the memories of an experience almost no one else on Earth has. I just feel some sympathy because that's sure as fuck not how my brain works. It loves to focus on the negative and it means a lot of my core memories are the bad ones. It isn't because only bad things happened but some people seem to dwell on that. Anyway, long prelude to saying I wanted to post someone from the Olympics again cause it's the last day and it means it's the last chance I'll have for a while. Technically I can post whoever whenever. I could post Bea Arthur tomorrow but I also know it's highly unlikely. I also wanted to post someone who didn't medal because I have a habit of posting medal winners because they keep showing up on my TV and you feel joy for them but I don't want my blog to be like, "Winners only". For one, they all did a whole lot of winning to get to this stage but also it isn't for winners only. People don't stop being remarkable because they miss a podium or because they fall down. The combination of events and sheer randomness that leads to a particular person being born and growing up to be who they are is it's own little miracle. So I am posting Nonaka Miho again cause she fits the bill top to bottom. I want to post her again, I can't believe I haven't since Tokyo except of course I haven't because I haven't watched sport climbing since then, so I want to get her in again. She's beautiful and is my gateway into a sport I think is a lot of fun to watch. She also lost the Olympics. In the sense that she didn't make it to the medal finals and technically finished 9th. Which is of course a marvel on it's own, this blog is called Who I Want to fuck Today and I bet it isn't even the 9th best blog in the world about who I want to sleep with, so being the 9th best in the world at anything is amazing. The thing is though, trying and winning and trying again isn't nearly so noble in my mind as trying and failing and trying again. She had a message she posted online after that seemed heartfelt and was in translated English as well. It talked about letting people down and so on and I get the disappointment. It's too bad but she should still be celebrated. She reached the top of that wall which is impressive but she also tried, which is the real point. Today I want to fuck Nonaka Miho.

Saw an illustrator post that with the Olympics ahead it's a good time to make sports illustrations for your portfolio and I thought why not give it a go! Soon after I saw the post Mihō Nonaka posted of her fabulous newly dyed hair on her Instagram and it was just a sign to draw her Referenced two photos she has posted on her account to draw this because I liked the pose in one but wanted the Japan uniform. I loved watching her and Alberto Ginés Lopez do sports climbing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Anyway, something a bit different hope you like it! Let me know your thoughts!

Who is your favourite female climber? Mine is Miho; I was devastated to find out she didn't make the olympic finals... :(

i’m a Janja girlie all the way. it is so much fun to watch her climb, especially because she always comes out last so you’ve already seen how hard the boulder or lead route is, and she makes it look easy. other than her, Miho and Brooke are probably my other two favorites to watch climb, and one of my favorite things about sport climbing is that i’m never rooting against a competitor and i want them all to do well!

Today is a bit of a public service announcement. Women's sport climbing is today and I think it's worth watching. It's sort of a marvel watching people make it up that wall and all but also here is Nonaka Miho who will be there. She was the silver medalist last time and really dazzled me because she was very good and very serious looking and all of the climbers looked like they were cut from stone. Just Greek statue shit because they aren't just well muscled, they are muscled in that Greek ideal where it's a mixture of agility and power and it was all very impressive. Then she finished and flashed a smile that I couldn't believe. It was such a pretty smile and she was so adorable that it was amazing. So I posted her. And I am posting her again, if i am being honest here, so my lesbian friends don't forget to watch because guys, if anyone is an expert on lesbians it's me and lesbians are going to love sport climbing. I say this because I know how lesbians feel about arms and abs and guys, she can dangle from a rock with just a couple of fingers and make it look easy. Anyway, she's really attractive and very good at her sport and today I want to fuck Nonaka Miho.
