hello!!!! you can call me sprout and welcome to ruinclan! this is my first time making a clangen blog and i was inspired by the (checks list) tens of clangen blogs i am currently following. i am so sorry. anyways this won't have a set schedule for updates as this is just for fun.

originally i wanted to create a blog for a different clan of mine, whisperclan, but then i realized that i had forgotten about some details from former moons since i was on around moon 20 by now and hadn't written anything. then i found an old word document of lore about ruinclan, and i dug up this older save file and decided to start here! do not ask me why all the youngins are masked i don't know either.

Dear TSAMS fandom, repeat after me:

Earth don't has to forgive Lunar.

Lunar essentially caused her a disability that cannot be easily cured. She cannot simply move to another body and say "problem fixed" just because the receptors in this body are burned. I'm not sure but I think it was mentioned several times that moving her to another body would just burn out the pain receptors in that body as well? So she would be in pain again?

And I don't know about you, but I love seeing disability representation on the show. She is a character with chronic pain and has to use a wheelchair, showing how much she struggles to have a normal life like she used to have, I personally am not disabled but I have friends who are and seeing them struggle for their life everyday breaks my heart, so seeing how happy it makes them that Earth is just like them makes me happy too.

"But Kat is not disabled! She shouldn't pretend to be" Dude, it's called acting. It's having a character that you have to play. Have you ever seen TV shows with characters who have X or Y disease or disability? More than 90% of their actors do not have that disease in real life. You are just hating because you want to hate.

"But she said she cant stand for too long and she have a whole conversación standing!" Have you ever thought about why it's called "chronic panic" for a reason? And that anger, rage, and adrenaline make a person do things they wouldn't normally do? And that after that adrenaline wears off, the person gets the worst pain of their life? And hey, have you ever thought about how IS A 2D CHARACTER. THAT IS NOT AFFECTING YOU LIFE AT ALL. And she makes so many people with chronic pain happy, they are having someone who understand them but, oh no, "She's not like me so ofc she's bad at it and it's offensive because I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT MYSELF FOR 5 MINUTES"

So kindly, stop criticizing Earth for every breath she takes for god's sake! You don't even try to be empathetic to her suffering, you're just thinking like "you don't like this so it's bad".

Earth is there, suffering the consequences of Lunar's tantrum and you're all just criticizing how she's "bad representation" because she can easily get fix when SHE CAN'T.

Turns out Old Moon and Solar's Sun "Swift" have a lot in common.

Both are back from the dead. Both feel responsible for the devastation and destruction they left behind. Both are a little lost, trying to forge places in a family that went on without them. Both fiercely love their brothers. Both mourn a life that's long behind them.

As it transpires, they also both love numbers and mathematics, and bond over chess and sudoku.

Moon 34 - Warm memories of a cold moon

Woke up at like 1:00 in the morning and could not go back to sleep (💀), so naturally I spent the next several hours waiting for my alarm to go off by writing a fic in my head where Arthur pisses off a witch by being his little bratty self, and she puts him under a love spell that makes him act on his deepest desires, which are to have basic affection and be loved. Merlin wakes up that night to find Arthur climbing into bed with him because he wants to spoon. The spell is just all the things Arthur wouldn't say or do even under torture, so his little ensorcelled ass spends the whole spell trailing after Merlin trying to hold hands with him and talking honestly about his feelings. Merlin is deeply, deeply disturbed; Arthur is going to bury him in the woods so he can't ever speak of anything he's seen as soon as the spell is broken. Merlin also cannot reject him to save his own life, because Arthur is earnest and sad and lonely, so he has resigned himself to dutifully reporting to Arthur’s room each night for cuddling, and mapping out exit routes for when Arthur snaps out of it and tries to stab him to death so there are no witnesses to his humiliation.

This is also how Merlin finds out Arthur already knows about his magic and hasn't said anything because he's waiting for Merlin to like him enough to feel he's worth confiding in. He also has not only been covering for Merlin's insane lies for a while, he has a secret GTFO bag stashed in one of his clothing chests because Merlin is an idiot he expects will be caught sooner rather than later practising magic, and they'll have to flee Camelot before he's beheaded.
