Hey guys, hey guys

Today is an exciting day! I got my first hate comment on one of my fanfics!  I’ve made it big enough to receive hate now!

Look at it! It’s a truly scathing insult there.  I love being insulted by someone who can’t spell.  I just really feel like I’ve made the big time here.  Hate comments with misspellings! And so of course I went to look up the profile of this daring individual and it did not disappoint

This is truly a blessed day for me and I am living.  This has made my entire week.  Like I’m going to be offended by someone with a profile like that.  It’s like being offended when a three year old tells you that you have polka dots on your face (when they mean acne).  It’s a joke.  

And no, I’m not going to blur out their name because they’re obviously proud enough to post such a scathing review on a public forum, so I won’t take that away from them.  What truly makes me laugh though is that they read through 8 chapters before deciding to tell me that.  You know, it’s nice of them to give me a fair chance.  I mean, they made it halfway through the story before deciding that it was so terrible that I should stop writing.  It does seem ambiguous though.  Like do you guys think it means I should stop writing in general, or just my arumika fic?  I’m taking it as the former, but I’d like your thoughts.

Tell me about your christmas traditions!

Dear Tumblr...ers, it’s christmas time and we are so many nationalities around here that I’d love to learn how you and your family celebrate christmas :) I guess it doesn’t only differ from country to country but also from region to region and family to family...So if you feel like sharing, please reblog or make your own post and add the way you celebrate christmas, put it in the comments, chat me up or whatever. You can even tag people you are interested in. I just hope this doesn’t die here on my blog because I think this might get really interesting...especially for christmas-enthusiasts like me :)

And of course I will start:

I live in Bavaria/Germany and around here the most important day during christmas is christmas eve, we also exchange presents on the 24th. This means furthermore that our advent calendars have 24 instead of 25 pieces of chocolate :) The presents are traditionally brought by the Christkind and not Santa Claus, even though he’s adopted in all the christmas decorations nontheless today...

The time before christmas eve itself consists of baking cookies, visiting christmas markets and drinking mulled wine, decorating and lighting each sunday before christmas eve one candle more on the Advent wreath.

I dont know how other families handle this but we get our christmas tree on the 23rd od December and decorate it on that day too. Traditionally it is kept til the 6th of January, which is Three Kings Day (?) and a holiday in some parts of Germany. But we always keep it til the 7th of January because that’s my birthday and I insist on finding my presents under the christmas tree ;)

On christmas eve we meet up at the house of one family member, some of us visit the church, then we have dinner, someone plays traditional music on the organ. Then a little bell gives the sign that the Christkind visited, we exchange presents and it’s all nice, warm and cozy. On the first day of christmas my grandma cooks for everyone and we meet at her house while the second day of christmas is just for relaxing :)

So to give this a bit of a start I’d like to know how @alwaysbesassy and @zedsdead1001 (even though she says she hates christmas) celebrate, if you’d like to share :)

🌧️ Favourite thing to do on rainy days - I live in England so rainy days are common! My favourite thing is probably lighting lots of candles, getting a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate and whiskey and curling up with a good book, listening to some lofi hiphop/jazz or ambient music, something like Brian Eno. I also love the sound of the rain on windows when I’m in the bath, movies under blankets and playing video games. The best thing about rainy days is there’s no guilt for just chilling and not going out! 

❄️ Fave Season - Autumn. I’m always grateful for the change of every season, the change of scenery/weather etc. is an enjoyable rotation. But I would say I am more of a Autumn/Winter person and find these seasons easier to cope with. And out of the two, definitely Autumn as my favourite. 

🔪 Scariest/Creepiest experience - Strap in. I have a lot of these (I think I may have said something some months ago about potentially sharing some of the weirder things about my life). But I’ll go with this one - I was on a ghost tour in the Edinburgh vaults (which are underground - I’ve done these tours 4 times now and conducted a lot of research). My first time there I went in with an open mind, but a healthy dose of skepticism. I was pleasantly surprised that the tour company didn’t have any jump scares/purposeful ‘oh no my torch went out’ moments - aside from one cheap laugh, which actually relived some of the tension. Anyway, we go into this really cold vault and the tour guide says he’s going to turn off the lights for a minute to let us get a feel for the room. I feel something tug at the hem of my coat and think it’s my husband or someone stood next to me. I reached out and there was no one on that side of me. I felt a tug again, gentle and could have sworn I heard a child crying. He turns the torch back on and then goes on to talk about how the room was used to perform illegal abortions and talked about the number of homeless children that also lived under there and around that part of the vaults. This freaked me out, but it was what happened after the tour that was worse. 

My husband and I, on walking back to our hotel both felt like we were being followed. Like a shadow was watching us? I can’t really explain it, my husband at the time was very skeptical and not really a believer in anything otherworldly, so for him to feel it made me more nervous. We got back to the room and at first the light wouldn’t turn on, then when it did the bulb started flickering. The TV turned itself on and static was just playing as the light continued to flicker. The TV went off and back on, and there was a really strange smell in the room like mould/damp. I was convinced something horrible/evil had attached itself to us - I spoke with a friend from University who I knew from The Pagan Society and she provided me with instructions to banish whatever it was and it worked. I have been back into the vaults three times since and never experienced anything on that level again - I wonder if it’s because I’ve gone ‘more prepared’ to ward things off? I’ve had a few odd moments but not that level of intensity. The last two tours I went on by myself. 

Also as a reoccurring and horrific scary experience - I suffer with sleep paralysis and exploding head syndrome. I've seen the shadow man in a hat. 

Oh and not an experience i’ve had...but my mum’s side of the family, when she and my uncles were younger an exorcism was performed on the house/family. No one will talk about it.

Fanmade/concept album art for the Promare OST.

The people at the Sawano server basicaly memed Sawano composing for Promare into reality and I’m very excited considering the past few tweets. Lots of recordings this week plus there are FOUR vocal songs confirmed. One with Laco, one with Gemie and two with both mpi and Benjamin Anderson. In addition to that, woodwind instruments in a Sawano track are yet another thing that has been made true after so much shitposting, it’s hard to believe.

For those who aren’t aware, Promare is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi from Studio Trigger. He also directed Kill la Kill and Gurenn Lagann, the former of which Sawano already composed for.

Super hyped about this movie and the soundtrack mostly because most recent Sawano works have been weak as shit he needs more original stuff like this to work on.

3. Last Book I Read: Darker (the Fifty Shades sequel from Christian’s perspective). But it’s because I run a book blog. I did not do it for pleasure. 

4. The Last Thing I Ate: Omg I just got back from brunch, thank you for asking. I had this really good vegan fryup with avacado, beans, sourdough, courgette fritters, mushrooms 

5. If I Could Be an Anywhere Now, Where Would I Be: I almost wrote ‘right here on my couch’, which is kiiiind of true. But let’s take it a step further and say somewhere warm with a nice ocean view, but I’m still inside with my laptop writing and in like a big comfy bed. I think I’m describing my favourite hotel in Gibraltar at this point, so I’ll go with that. 

6. Where Would I Time Travel: 90s/early 2000s so I could take my super basic programming skills but look fucking amazing. I’d make really awful HTML based websites. Fuck, I’d make GEOCITIES websites. I’d put midi files everywhere. Good times. 

7. What Fictional Character Would I Spend The Day With: Meredith Grey. I want to dance it out with her and just have her smile at me. I love her so much.

Was feeling really tired physically and emotionally and I've mistaken this blog to primary one...

I normally don't do this but I need to scream into the void a bit...So just ignore me if you like. My contract at work ends in 6 weeks, my boss has been telling me for over 4 weeks that my new contract is in work, I should not worry. Today, before his holiday starts, he called me and told me that my contract was declined by the managing director because my performance wasn't good enough. What. the. fuck?? They don't even know who I am! What the hell is going on?? What am I supposed to do now? I already had many problems finding this job, how am I supposed to get another with that reputation? My anxiety is killing me right now...
