I find it funny and adorable how TF2 fans are all going crazy that they *finally* got some crumble of content after years of nothing, and even funnier are the differences between each character and how much new lore they've got.
Scout fans - "Oh my goddd Jeremy does not end up with Miss Pauling???? :( now Expiration Date is gonna make me feel sad... but atleast he's gonna have kids and family! And now we know his real surname! Also him and Spy, ahhh!!!!"
Sniper fans - "Yooo Sniper can drive a plane :)"

Lab tech brain compels me to ramble through my OC
#fallout#arcade gannon#my art#you fools- by liking my previous art post you compelled me to do more art#anyhow I suppose that the one upside to wasteland medicine having less people involved is that there's less room for miscommunication#this is one thing on a canvas with far too many things#and the one other finished thing can sit in my drafts to post later for the illusion of me doing more art than I have haha#woe be upon y'all I can only post non-OC art when it's with an OC present it's just the law of my brain#it's a significant motivating factor I cannot sidestep around#anyway if you read these tags know that his speaking cadence is 1000 miles an hour#one of them say nothing OR flip a switch then be a chronic yapper kinds (like myself)

During my month of preparations for finals, I've been regularly noticing a pop-up of my friend playing Yakuza 0. It was nice, I knew he recently finished the whole series so I thought he was just having a good time and replaying the games. The thing is... I've kept seeing this pop up suspiciously more often. Once it was three days straight, once in an hour.
There was something... omnious about it. I didn't want to ask him, as we were on short radio silence. But it's been chewing my mind for some while. That little window in your corner, telling you he's once again playing Yakuza 0. Until...
...I've randomly came across his post in one Yakuza FB group. He spent WHOLE TIME playing Mahjong. Nothing else. Just playing weeks and weeks of Mahjong. He was spiraling into a certain level of insanity where he couldn't do anything else than playing Mahjong. He wanted to beat the game fair but just couldn't get past the Mahjong levels. After I checked his profile, I realized he has 200 hours of playing Mahjong total.
I seriously love how insane the whole thing is and the mystery behind this. I hope Steam's never gonna get rid of these.
Steam’s little corner notifications when a friend launches a game are so fucking useless and i hope they never get rid of them. yes, please let me know that the kid i met on a maplestory forum in middle school and haven’t spoken to in a decade is playing Train Simulator

reblog this and put in the tags your favorite (or most memorable) mandatory reading from school
#I was very much that kid who enjoyed the mandatory readings when 80% of the class Did Not#however I might have just really enjoyed the group discussion/debate that followed the readings#anyways!#there's this one book I read in middle school that I think was actually non fiction?#and was about this guy in Alaska and his sled dogs#wish I could remember the name or more plot events because I can not find the book today for the life of me#I also liked this short story we read in a class in Highschool that was about#this self cleaning/functioning house going through its routine functions even though the family is long dead#(I think this was taking place post nuclear fallout/war or something)

A post on Saw subreddit motivated me to finally figure out how to upload movies onto 3DS, and now I can proudly say, I made it to work :D
Genuienly love the flexibility of this console and how many features it can offer. Managed to install Saw 3D aswell and it's incredible how the 3D effects look and work so smoothly.

Omggg I’m so glad someone else agrees with my Norm x dommy mommy thoughts 😭
Sorry, I read this as "please post NSFW Norm MacLean headcanons". That's what it says, right?
Norm MacLean NSFW Headcanons
- We've seen that "casual sex as a way to combat boredom" is obviously on the table for people in Vault 33. Norm might not be the most popular guy in the vault, but hey, surely for every sexually active person in there, there's only so many available dicks you're not directly related to, so I imagine he's fairly experienced and confident in himself in terms of sex. He just sucks at getting over the "seduction" hurdle because he's so used to people rejecting him/not taking him seriously/thinking he's weird.
- Has an average-sized penis, but it looks pretty impressive on him because he's a below-average sized man in most other places. Doesn't hurt him in the confidence department.
- I'd describe him as a switch; how dominant or submissive he'd be would be would depend on his partner. But I think if he found himself someone that he really trusted and was comfortable with, he'd lean sub. I think he'd like to have someone to take care of him like that, to want him enough to want that too.
- Loves being marked up; hickies, scratch marks, little love bruises. He's crazy for them all. All the better if they're visible to others.
- This man is such a sucker for having his hair pulled. Like, the kind of pulling where you thread your fingers in and tug at it from the roots. Pull his hair to hold him on your breast, hold his head in place while he eats you out, tug at it to make him look at you while you fuck him. It drives him wild.
- Three words: face sitting fetish. He wants your entire weight on his face and chest, and if it isn't, he's yanking on you until it is. He knows how to put that nose to use!
- Obviously loves being ridden, but I think he'd also really enjoy missionary...especially if his partner is a lot bigger/taller than him.
#Norm MacLean deserves someone to carry him bridal style to bed#norm maclean#norm maclean smut#fallout tv show#fallout prime#norm maclean x reader#norm maclean x you#submission#non ghoul post

Hey, y'all! Sorry I haven't been around much this month. I've been dealing with some personal stuff, but I'm working on the last chapter of My Name Is Cooper and it should be ready to post soon!
On another note, I've been watching a lot of Fallout lore videos lately and it's been really fascinating! (Spoilers for Fallout 1, New Vegas and the show ahead!) Even though I've been playing the games for years, there's a lot I didn't know. Like the story of The Master / Richard Grey in Fallout 1. First off, what a design! He's gotta be one of the most grotesque and horrifying character designs and concepts in any video game I've seen. And all the different voices. It's chilling! I didn't know the original Fallout game was so disturbing. And I love it! Also, I've just always loved the look of these old games. I used to love Baldur's Gate 2, which Interplay also worked on (or rather a division of it), so it's kinda nostalgic looking at the old Fallout graphics, which are very similar. Very cool! I might have to give it a playthrough some day!
Second, I found it interesting how the show kind of takes things from the games and mirrors them. Like it's not the same characters or circumstances, but the themes remain the same. For example, in the show, Vault-Tec's solution to end war is to eliminate everyone else so that they are the only faction left. Which is exactly what The Master tried to do as well, but with super mutants. I think it's pretty cool how they went full circle, using this recurring theme, (because they aren't the only two factions with this philosophy either in the lore) pulling that idea from the very first game and working it into the show as one of Vault-Tec's primary motivations.
I also found out that Bethesda brought back many of the original creators for New Vegas, so it makes a lot of sense why people say it's the best Fallout! I'm currently playing through New Vegas on my YouTube channel. (I have one full video and a bunch of shorts, but I took a break because, well, I became a little Ghoul obsessed, hehe. But now that I'm almost done with my first fic, I'm gonna start doing more videos again!) So come check it out if you want! I kinda spoiled some things for myself when it comes to Mr. House, but it's also made me want to play the game even more! Also, with the second season apparently taking place in New Vegas, it's basically a necessity at this point!
And! I have also discovered yet more instances of Ghoul / Human relationships in the Fallout universe. If I remember correctly (I can't remember the specific video now, and it would take forever to go back and find it, so bear with me lol) there's a female ghoul prostitute your character can sleep with in New Vegas. And also a ghoul named Gob in Fallout 3 (whom I vaguely remember from way back when I played it, but forgot his story) who appears to be in a secret relationship with a woman he works with, who is also a prostitute (but not a ghoul lol).
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yes, Ghoulcy is absolutely %100 on brand for Fallout. People be fuckin' ghouls all over the place. So if Fallout's gonna have a romance of any kind, it's gonna be with the hot ghoul character and his narrative foil, y'all. Yup. That's just how it is. It's canon peeps, case closed!
#SO TO ALL THE ANTI'S#AND ANYONE WHO'S STILL A NON-BELIEVER#HEAR ME AND REPENT!#THE TRUTH IS AS PLAIN AS THE NOSE ON COOPERS... wait...#cooper howard#fallout#the ghoul#lucy maclean#ghoulcy#vaultghoul#fallout prime#my posts#ghouly-boi#fallout lore#ghoul fuckers

...Uh oh. Well, it was nice meeting you all
I saw this question posed on tiktok, but I think Tumblr would really enjoy it too.
If a fae creature offered to give one million dollars for a bone chosen at random, how many bones would you allow them to take?
Light clarifications; The fae is not the one choosing the bones. The bone is taken at random. Each bone, no matter the size or importance, is worth a full million dollars. You must also declare the exact number first, you can't go bone-by-bone. You either say 2 or you say 10, you can't work your way up to a higher number. The bones are removed instantaneously, and the money is given immediately as well. You will not get in government trouble for acquiring the money.
Tell me in the tags/replies how many bones you'd let the fae take. And as always, reblog for bigger sample size.

I think one of the funniest things about Preston Garvey is that he has a couple of lines about kids and like considering maybe having kids someday and he keeps having these lines after you start dating him so he's just like staring into his partners soul and going "wow... kids are so nice." like man we're both adults just have a conversation w/ ur partner stop ominously sayin shit LMAOOO
#“if i ever have kids...” and then he just like looks at you. like buddy#just#just talk oh my fucking god#most non confrontational bitch EVER#idk if I've posted this before#I might've#preston garvey#fo4#fallout 4

in network effect... it's probably going to be a small moment... but when they're trying to escape the hostile planet with art's crew...
and thiago goes back for seth
like.
these are total strangers. they barely even know art. they know nothing of its crew. they got dragged here entirely against their will. they have absolutely no emotional connection to these people whatsoever, except that they are also people, and they need help, and one of them has fallen behind.
and so thiago goes back to save someone he a) has never met before, b) probably doesn't even know the name of, c) has absolutely no emotional connection to, and d) was basically conscripted into coming into horrible danger to find, when he e) had every reason and excuse not to.
he could have kept running. he was leading the others to safety, he could have leaned on that excuse. he had nothing to gain from going back, and quite possibly very much to lose.
but he went back.
because humans, at our best, are the ones who go back for each other. even when it's objectively stupid. even when there's nothing in it for us.
not everyone will do it, but enough will. enough to be a defining trait of our species: we're the brilliant idiots who run into danger to save the wounded and bring each other out to safety. even if we don't know them. just because they can't get out on their own.
that's why it's such a Big Thing in stories when a character doesn't go back -- because this is ingrained into our dna. we have come this far because we build communities. because we build upon one another. because we go back for our wounded even when it's dangerous and we could have gotten out safely and we don't even know them. that's why it's a marker of an evil person or a horribly fraught ethical situation in stories. because that is not who we are. we are not the ones who leave someone behind.
i just. i love what these books say about the nature of personhood and intelligence and love, but i also love what they say about humanity. we're not all bad. we're not our worst impulses. we are the ones who care about a sentient robot because if it can think, it's not a thing, and it deserves to be treated like a person, even if it doesn't want to be a human.
we are the ones who care. that's what makes us human.
#the murderbot diaries#i paused to make this post so idk what the fallout will be of this moment but i was just like.#''you're crying over a space sci-fi novel about a sentient ai?''#''the tiny moments that define humanity as the ones who are compassionate at the very bottom of things got to me all right''#humanism#< i think that might be why i have loved these books so much#in spite of being told from the point of view of a non-human they are steeped in the concept of humanism#that when we have nothing else we still have each other#the universe is dark and cold and uncaring and many people are cruel and unfeeling but they do not rule our fates#we have the power to cleave to one another and stand fast against the darkness and the chaos and win
