Not gonna lie, I thought Sam was going to adopt Hazel at the end of the movie, but then again I appreciated how they kept it realistic by not showing a likely traumatized, barely out of the system girl taking it upon herself to raise another human being.

I’ve honestly never considered Brave Little Toaster to be “Non-Disney”, not only because it had tons of Disney veterans working on it, but it set up the groundwork for what would later become Pixar.

Anyway, my choice will always be Don Bluth’s The Land Before Time, because it was one of those special films that truly shaped my childhood (and because dinosaurs are awesome). 😊

THIS IS NOT A COMPREHENSIVE LIST. I just wanted to highlight some beloved and underrated nostalgic classics.

I am NOT counting: Studio Ghibli, DC, Marvel, Scooby-Doo, sequels/prequels, and most other franchises. I made an exception with MLP and Care Bears because both films were produced at the beginning of their franchises, as opposed to the G.I. Joe series, Transformers, etc. There's a LOT to cover in the 80s-90s, hence why I split the two polls. This is basically Don Bluth's Era lol.

honestly, seeing a solid row of likes/reblogs from the same person makes me imagine them going through my art like it's some kind of delectable buffet, holding a giant plate and going "hmm, yes, a little of this...some of that...ooh, and can't forget this..." except, you know, on the internet. with the feeling of that one Tom Hanks gif.

(which is to say, of course it's fine! if it starts taking over my activity page I just use the filters, so no worries :D)

I was tempted to say Moses and Tzipporah, because I love Prince of Egypt, but you just can’t get any more iconic than Anya and Dimitri! 💕

I've asked about the duets, but let's evaluate the pairings themselves.

These couples might be overshadowed by their Disney contemporaries (Belle and the Beast, Aladdin and Jasmine, et al), but they still helped to define love for a generation of kids!

Disney is not slick hiding the fact that the duet between Asha and Magnifico obviously started out as a love song between her and the Star Boy.

We almost had the second coming of Jelsa but without the copyright infringement.

The lyrical difference between the official song and the demo song is that the demo says “Love” but it’s replaced with “Promise” in the official version.

Here's the second 17" Thumbelina, Beetle ball edition! Her dress was an adventure, so many pieces, so many directions, so many pins poking my fingers 😵‍💫 In the end though, I think she's my favourite of the bunch, she's massive, colorful and so so pretty, I'm obsessed ✨
