thinking abt how trans men, transmascs or anyone else in the queer community with a masculine identity are always targeted and made fun of by cis people or other queer people. We are always stereotyped to be the “soft he/they trans boy who likes cavetown with that one picrew as their pfp and is super cringe and awkward (with a dash of ableism towards autistic trans men/mascs)” or all the other stereotypes out there. I never see trans women/transfemmes/feminine queer people get made fun of this way because they know ppl with call them out for it. People don’t call it out with trans men/mascs or other masculine queer people because it’s ok to be transphobic towards us because we’re just big scary privileged men to them. We cannot be opressed in their eyes so it’s okay to make fun of us and stereotype us

I’ve seen so many posts on here lately with people referring to their partner as “my butch” and my heart is literally fluttering from the mere thought of being referred to like that one day.

I find it weird how once a baby is literally an egg the parents just assume they are straight. They don’t even have to think about it. They just assume that if they are a boy they must like girls & vise versa but once a 6 year old figures out they’re bi then it’s “You’re too young to know your sexuality!” but then if they go back to their parents & say, “You’re right, I’m straight.” then it’s “Yep, I knew it was just a phase!” Like what? They’re too young to know they are bi but if they’re straight then it’s fine? H U H ?

what are ed and roy like after they get married?
Immediately after tying the knot, Roy talks about and introduces Ed to people as his "wife", in a kinda joking jab at what a notorious Wife Guy™ Hughes was, but when it turns out Ed really doesn't give a fuck about gender, like, at all, Roy sticks with it 'cause "wife has more kickass than husband" and it helps him feel closer to Hughes, who he thinks would be thrilled he's finally "settled down with a good wife" :)

I think what some people overlook when it comes to non-binary representation, but that Good Omens has managed to nail on the head (as usual), is how often we see afab nbs being masculine (short hair, gender neutral/male clothes etc.) and amab nbs being feminine (long hair, feminine characteristics etc.).
And that's just... I don't want to say wrong because it's not, but it's just so telling of how they still see that person as their agab.
What I mean by that is, if someone only accepts afab nb people when they're nonconforming or should I say deviating from their agab, then they still view them as women. The same goes for amab nb people. If someone expects gender nonconformity from them and a more feminine expression, then at a basic level, they still view them as men. And yes, there's been that discussion about trans people not being required to perform and how stereotypes are harmful, but I mean this on a more psychological/ingrained level. (That's why I'm mentioning afab and amab so much (sorry))
And Good Omens absolutely knocks it out of the park with this. Not only does it say a giant fuck you to gender expectations for nb beings, but it has such a diverse range of identities represented. Muriel, an afab nb person who dresses feminine. Beelzebub an afab nb person who presents masculine. Andrew, an amab nb person who presents feminine. Aziraphale, an amab nb person who presents masculine. Crowley, an amab nb person who is somehow every single one of these combined. (I know none of them are humans. I'm speaking about how they are perceived by the audience)
When someone only views nb people as afab=must present masculine and amab=must present feminine, then all they're doing is saying they still view nb individuals as their agab, because if they didn't tie nb people's agab to their personalities then them presenting as their agab would have no influence on a person's perspective of their identity. Nb people deserve to present as their agab without their identity being invalidated or them being viewed as cis.

Speaking about the fact that in the 2nd season the creators want to add eyelashes to Peri, I was also confused by another main detail in the entire cartoon series. These are the eyebrows of the characters. I do not want to write something rude, but why the hell do almost all the male characters have thick eyebrows? Yes, it may be obvious why, but this detail still bothers me. Because of this, everyone looks like they have the same face and this situation can only be alleviated by fan art or a different animation style. Like this whole thing with "distribution by gender" does not make sense. Not all girls have thin eyebrows and not all guys have thick ones. This "problem" can be solved even with such a simple animation as in the original cartoon series without losing the style itself. Just add thick eyebrows to some female characters and thin ones to some male characters.
Returning to Peri. In the old show, when he was still a baby, it was clearly visible that he inherited his eyebrows from his mother, as well as the presence of eyelashes. Therefore, removing them and making him a carbon copy of his father because he is a ✨guy✨ was pointless. Having eyelashes and thin eyebrows made his design special and unlike others. Therefore, when I saw Poof but already an adult in the new show, at first I did not believe that it was him. In terms of face, he simply became a copy of his father and this would have worked if in the old show Peri inherited the features of his father and not his mother. That’s why his character design seemed somehow "wrong" to me.
Yeah, you could say it's because Poof is gotten older, but you can't just outgrow your inherited appearance trait. Right?

Get so mad when I see musicals because while I don't want to be a boy i really wish i looked like some of the actors. Just saw Newsies and the actor who played Jack was so so pretty but like in a guy way if that makes sense. And all their voices are so good oml.
Edit- feel like I should have clarified that I wasn't talking about Jeremy Jordan but an actor in a local production. He's great too though :)

thinking about how spectacularly alastairs character arc would be shown through fashion in a modern setting. going from looking like hes in his late 20s at youngest, wearing smart casual at almost all times mirroring charles' clothes to mismatched colourful patterns and fun clothes and jewelry because he can finally live and he looks like hes 19 and loves art and can act like the teenager he really is and has an entire assortment of accessories that match all the rest of the cast

storm saying “connection is a fragile treasure, one we sacrifice so much to maintain” as morph is trying to comfort wolverine only for wolverine to let them when they shift into sabretooth, starting a trend of wolverine only accepting morph’s care and affection when they look like someone else, sacrificing their autonomy in order to express their feelings are you fucking kidding me

I am just. chewing over and over again the connotations to Taash alternating between ‘mother’ and ‘Tama’
#there’s something so fucking interesting regarding language there#the Qun doesn’t have a word for mother so Shathann utilised tamassaran#and TALKS about how she wasn’t raised as one so she doesn’t know how to be this role#‘you used to call me Tama’ / ‘she’s not my priest!’#but Shathann tries to be a priest to Taash because that’s what she understands this approximation to ‘mother’ to be#and it’s so.#taash uses them interchangeably but also with an awareness TO language which makes SENSE considering them coming into their nb identity#I think so much about the scene where like#shathann says perhaps you’re aqun-athlok and taash’s response hits so hard because like#there’s no word in the qun a non gendered caste role#you can be rightfully recognised as trans but only if that adheres to your working caste role and it’s gendered nature#and you can just SEE like. a part of Taash is crying out in that moment why can’t you see me for who I am#why is your understanding of me confined to a binary#honestly like. the dehumanisation of the qun and antaam hurts taash’s story SO much because we can’t truly grapple with expanding upon the#Qun and expected roles and the confinement of that and WHY the antaam broke away#because we’re too busy trying to hand wave them as inhuman enemies#and it just does the confrontation between tassh#and the dragon king and EVERYTHING about shokra toh ebra a massive disservice#because only some of our qunari and the qun is afforded humanisation#god this game. I love it but GOD#tunes titters#veilguard spoilers#tunes talks critical
