she is so fluffy. they somehow made an electric spider one of the most cuddly pokemon designs of all time. WOULD get a plushie of her if i am being fully honest.

24. Scyther

he's just some guy who is also a cool looking bug who also has swords coming out of his fucking arms. a rare example of a gen 1 pokemon design that is 'extremely based' and not 'extremely boring'.

23. Roserade

Roselia in gen 3 was such a meh pokemon, so giving it this unexpectedly cool Tuxedo Mask evolution in gen 4 was awesome. I will be fully honest that my favorite version of Roserade is the shiny because it gets black and purple roses. cool as fuck

22. Scream Tail

'what if we made Jigglypuff so so so so so so scary and it wants to maim and eat you now'. say no more

21. Calyrex (Shadow Rider i guess)

as someone who skipped pokemon sword/shield entirely, this design is actually some of the coolest shit i've seen. weird looking deer knight riding on the back of a ghost horse? actually stupidly cool they were really cooking with this one.

20. Grovyle

Every PMD fan on the fucking planet knows why I put this rando middle evo Grass starter on my favorite pokemon list. And they also know that i am objectively correct for doing so. no further explanation is needed

19. Decidueye

listen this is a fucking Ghost Owl Archer, what a fucking idea, it's cool as shit and we love Decidueye in this household. the best grass starter in the game and it isn't even close. despite me putting one immediately before it on this list. no notes.

love this fucking thing it looks like a kingdom hearts boss. also ghost/fire is objectively one of the coolest type combos ever (foreshadowing is a literary device in which--)

15. Hisuian Zoroark

this is a prime example of how the regional variants in modern pokemon can completely improve on the original. the original zoroark is a pretty generic edgy dog. this is a new and much more interesting take in general, it makes its once gimmicky Illusion ability much more sinister and tied to its backstory/lore. also such a great color scheme, i love the weird almost fungal looking growths on it?

this is a vampire bat dragon, potentially the coolest thing to ever exist ever. you agree. also i like the color scheme, purple/green/red aren't usually things i would put together but it works very well here

there is a tumblr post that calls this thing "so nonbinary it kills you" (or something like that) and holy shit are they right. what a cool mix of gardevoir and gallade's designs. plus making it a robot knight. cool as fuck, definitely the best paradox pokemon. and again, it isn't even close lmao

11. Mawile

i remember being a little disturbed and/or weirded out by this thing when i played gen 3. over the years it has grown on me so much. what a weird fucking design. i too want a giant mouth horn growing out of my head. bonus points to mawile for also getting a sick mega evolution that i am pretty sure broke the metagame for a while. lol, lmao even.

10. Clodsire

holy fucking shit it's clodsire. fuck yes. FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES what an incredible re-imagining of quagsire i love it so much

9. Froslass

imagine you're Glalie, the world's most generic and boring ice type of all time, evolved from Snorunt and already forgotten the moment you're introduced in gen 3. then gen 4 comes along and gives female Snorunts one of the coolest pokemon of all time as an evolution. truly THE most insane evolutionary glow up in the history of the franchise. anyway i love this thing, i love that she murders hikers and displays their corpses for people that's so cool i love you froslass congratulations on your transition

definitely my favorite eeveelution, i love its simple design, the gem really ties it together. this is really one of those pokemon that feels like it'll be on your team for life. i will not elaborate on this

6. Bewear

i fucking LOVE this thing it makes me so fucking uncomfortable to look at. it has the best lore of any pokemon ever: it hugs people to death. god what a cool pokemon if it shattered my spine i would probably just say 'ok'

5. Floette

THIS IS MY WHITE WHALE, DUDE. I WILL NEVER BE OVER THE SUPER POWERED X/Y MAIN STORY VERSION OF THIS THING BEING CODED INTO THE GAME AS AN EVENT POKEMON AND THEN GAMEFREAK NEVER RELEASED IT. despite my bitterness i love floette whenever i see it. one of the quiet joys of scarlet/violet was seeing this tiny thing chilling out in the wild. to me its face is like The representation of happiness. i have no idea why i love it so much but i'm just happy whenever i see it

4. Suicune

when i was little i was obsessed with this thing. i remember playing pokemon silver and being captivated by it. then i was THRILLED that of all pokemon they could pick they made it the mascot for crystal. when i went on road trips as a kid i would imagine this thing running alongside the car and had all sorts of mental AMVs with it. now that i am an adult and have had time to reflect on suicune, however, i have come to realize something: suicune is actually the coolest fucking thing ever and i was so fucking right all along about this

3. Hisuian Typhlosion

i loved typhlosion as a kid, and most of my attachment to the original one is probably nostalgia related. however, like hisuian zoroark, this is one of those designs that just genuinely improves on the original in every way. i have NO idea why they chose to glam up typhlosion so much in legends arceus but i am so glad they did. adding Ghost typing is such a strange concept on paper but they executed it SO well. i love its dopey little look. what a gem of a design to find so recently in pokemon's lifespan.

2. Alolan Raichu

the original Raichu has always lived in Pikachu's shadow-- it has a cool enough design, but no one is ever going to pay attention to it when it's prevo is literally the world famous series mascot. so i am THRILLED with what a great design Alolan Raichu has. it's so fucking cute, it looks unique while still being obviously tied to the original. i love that it looks like a pancake. i love adding Psychic type to it -- like with Hisuian Typhlosion, an odd idea in concept that works perfectly. i love that it surfs on its adorable, giant tail. GOD i love alolan raichu it is such a good pokemon

Flygon

i love flygon, it's a sand dragonfly that evolves from the world's most adorable antlion. this is an instant pick for my team in every game it's in. i love its dragonfly eyes doubling as sand goggles. flygon is so cool you can make the argument for Dragon/Ground/Bug triple typing, but Gamefreak are fucking cowards and will never do that. it is because they are afraid of what flygon would do with this power. YAY FLYGON

Blister the houndoom (male) (has really bad aim and tends to miss his opponents with fire attacks, but when he does hit them it deals lots of damage ((we’re working on that)))

Basil the meowscarada (male) (very flamboyant and loves attention)

Zaza the espathra (female) (low key a bitch!! Stubborn as hell and was super difficult to train)

Welp my dumbass decided to make Wednesday pokemon trainer cards instead of updating my WIPs. Which I'm going to do after I post this🤣

I'm not fully happy about Tyler, eugene, and the xaviers teams. Those may change.

Almost everyone always gets a legendary/mythical.

I know literally no one will read this or care. But I figured I could post it anyway.

I gave her Skorupi because of Nero, so he's her partner.

Gliscor because he's just a beast of a mon and reminds me of a scorpion/bat that fits Wednesday's dark theme. Tyler had given this to her as a present. On their first anniversary, it immediately became a favorite.

Corviknight because Wednesday is referred to as the Raven, and he just seems like the most raven mon (even though he's a crow). Wednesday found this pokemon back when it was a Rookiedee. It had fallen out of its nest. Instead of feeding it to her mother's Pyroar, she kept it.

Hydreigon because he's just a dark dragon, and I feel like he fits Wednesday's style. Wednesday had found him as a deino, the poor blind Dino had injured himself. She decided to take him in and raise him to become a terrifying dragon.

Dusknoir because he's a big scary ghost that eats souls in his chest. Out of all the ghost types, i feel like this one fits Wednesday the most. This mon snuck up on Wednesday and followed her throughout a haunted graveyard, not giving up until she caught him.

It was between Giratina (the underworld/antimatter legend) or Yveltal. Her legend I chose is Yveltal, He's the legendary of Death, basically destroying everything in sight.

(I feel bad for doing this to Tyler)

His partner - Cubone - because they both lost their moms. Cubone wears his mothers dead skull on his head. Tyler's mother had given this to him just before she passed.

(Might replace.) Bewear - literally because Tyler is sweet & adorable on the outside, but on the inside, he's hiding a dangerous monster, just like bewear.

Mimikyu - because the creature inside the suit just wants to be loved, just like Tyler. So he hides behind a suit made up of a beloved pokemon. But everytime it's trainer looks underneath the suit, they die.

Scovillian - because it's a funny play on Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Two faces, two different personalities.

Garchomp - Because this mon is anger filled and very hard to tame also very powerful. Kinda reminds me of the hyde.

His legend is Mewtwo. A legend made by humans and hates humanity. Reminds me of Tyler's tragic past, hating others who don't understand what he's been through.

Her partner is a shiny Spheal - Honestly, I just feel like Enid would love every single pokemon that's adorable.

Shiny) Politoad because he's just a very happy frog, and I feel like it matches. It Enids a very bubbly personality.

Arcanine - i feel like even though it's a big scary dog, she loves it because it's Fluffy and loyal. Just like Enid.

Lycanroc (Day form) just a little nod to her wolf form.

Dragonair - Honestly, it's just a beautiful mid evo that I feel like Enid would love

And her legend is Mew. It's just a cute, sweet cat that has all the DNA of each pokemon. Something I think Enid would take care of and love.

So Ajax's starter is Ivysaur - because the bulbasaur line is famous for smoking grass

Ekans because of Ajax being a Gorgon and his little snakes poke their heads out sometimes.

Slowbro because it seems like a good pokemon to get high with.

Hisuian Typhlosion because he just looks like a depressed cool boy like my baby Ajax.

Noivern - because I just see Ajax being the chill guy at parties and noiverns ears remind me of speakers.

His legend is a shiny Rayquaza just because he's a giant space snek noodle🤣

Eugene's starter is a shiny caterpie, figured he'd just be a bug type trainee.

Beedrill - because of his powers to control bees.

Heracross- same as the caterpie. Just figured he'd have a bug army.

Dewpider because he's just an adorable bean like Eugene.

Appletun because I just feel like he'd love chunky pokemon. Because chunky pokemon are the best.

wobbuffet because its a psychic pokemon and it's insane ability to use counter and I feel like Eugene would need a happy mon to keep him company.

Yes Eugene doesn't get a legend. Just couldn't find one that fit.

Her partner being Primarina - has to do with her being a siren outcast. Her partner looks like a mermaid and sings like sirens and mermaids are known for.

Being the popular girl at school, I'd imagine she'd have tons of beautiful pokemon. A florges. Being a bouquet of flowers fits that perfectly

Again, Hatterene fits the popular girl status perfectly. Another beautiful fairy type to add to Bianca's team

Bianca would also have a shiny Altaria, it being her pride since it's a rare golden color.

Beautifly - a rare evolution of Wurmple, being very beautiful & every time it flaps its wings, sparkly pollen falls with each flap.

I chose Meloetta fighting form for her mythical pokemon. It has unique singing abilities, and being strong but beautiful would fit Bianca perfectly.

Xavier surprisingly got a card. I didn't want to download a picture of him into my phone so he gets no picture.

He gets a shiny muk as his partner. Because he looks like throw up. Just like how I feel about Xaviers character.

He gets an Exeggutor because it's derpy in a stupid way🤣

Grafaiai because he's an artist.

Garbordor - because it's a pokemon made of trash.

Xavier does get a legend. But it's the worst one. He gets regice because it's a trash legend.🤣

Part 1

Nick:*holding Jirachi*

Valerie:You are so lucky the both of you are deceptively cute.

Nick:You should go next.

Valerie: What the hell? Sure. To be honest, I can’t begin to imagine who my new friend is about to be.

She grabs her Pokéball and before she can even throw it, it bursts opens to reveal a very happy Goodra that’s ready for a hug. Val was taken aback at first but began to laugh as she embraced the hug.

Valerie:H-Hello. Aren’t you sweet?

Eliza:(She got a pseudo…? What are my odds then?)

Summer:So I’m willing to bet I get an ice type or a music related Pokémon. Question is…which one?

Nick:I am going to guess Noivern.

Summer:Damnit, now I have expectations! I would love them. Let’s see what happens.

For a little luck, Summer hums the classic theme in an attempt to avoid an ice type. She tosses her pokéball out and is greeted with music playing back at her. The light vanishes and the sight of a shiny Meloetta flies towards her.

Summer:Yeeeeaaaah! 🎶Hello~🎶

Sparrow:So not only did the twins get mythical Pokémon, but dual type psychic mythical Pokémon. I’ve seen it all.

Eliza:I should’ve went first…

Sparrow:Mind if I go next?

Eliza:Fuck it, be my guest. Pray you don’t get a literal Sparrow.

Sparrow:I got faith.

He gives an enthusiastic thumbs up and grabs a pokéball. He rubs it on his shirt to make it shine before launching it; revealing a huge and powerful Garchomp. Eliza is slightly mortified while Sparrow had never felt more validated.

Sparrow:Let’s goooo!

Eliza:All I know is fear.

Veronica:Don’t worry. I’ll bring us back to the norm.

Eliza:Veronica, you dress like you’re a main character in a book.

Veronica:And you dress like a witch. I’m just hoping I don’t get a cat. Nick, toss me a pokéball!

He tosses it over his shoulder and Veronica catches it before immediately doing an underhand throw. Thankfully she dodged the main character allegations, but not by much. Hopping into her arms was an Alolan Raichu.

Veronica:Awww, hey buddy. Wasn’t expecting a surfing partner. *nuzzles gently* See? Nothing wrong with a chill buddy.

Eliza:Okay, that does actually help. I guess I’m fine with anything that’s cuddly or magical.

Nick:*whispers* This goes one of two ways, right?

Summer:Oh absolutely.

Eliza takes off her cap and spins it on her finger as she approaches a pokéball. After a moment of deciding, she finally picks one. The sky darkness the moment she does and the orb floats. The brightest light shines and takes the form of Arceus as choir chants and it looks down upon the mortal.

Eliza:….

Nick:So did you forget being the first human in ages to be born with magic kinda makes you god’s favorite?

Eliza:This is way too much responsibility.

Arceus floats high into the sky until he’s no longer visible. Confused by the turn of events, a smaller ball of light gently falls into Eliza’s hands and becomes an Eevee.

Summer:Hey look, it went both ways!

Nick:I don’t know what’s more concerning. The implication that Eevee is strangely close to essentially God, or if that Eevee faints then God shall intervene and fight for Eliza.

Eliza:*cradles it* I’m fine with either as long as I keep this little angel.

Carmine:So who’s next?

She turns around to the remaining people still shaking in fear from witnessing the divine.

Carmine:Fair enough. Guess we’ll take another break then….

Also obligatory “I have other OCs” post! I like to design things but it seems like fursona designs don’t stick like holly does unless they’re fandom related.

My only long term human OC is Holly, the pokemon trainer! Yes, the name is the same as my fursona. I gave up on pretending they were different characters a while ago. Cat holly is me as cat, human holly is me as Pokémon trainer. I will make hollys as many times as I need to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Pokémon trainer Holly’s favorite type is ghost, despite not having many ghost types on her team. Her team is: purugly (original starter, who I like to picture as the non-puffed up version of a purugly that keeps her tail up like she did as a glameow! Lore-wise purugly are so big because they literally squeeze themselves for intimidation, and my purugly doesn’t feel the need to be scary 24/7), noibat (I like to think he’ll evolve someday, but I’ve never really thought about it!my hang up is love shiny noibat but really prefer normal noivern), pumpkaboo (I see no reason to evolve pumpkin bat kitty, though I did evolve one in my role play days), and a one-eyed luxray named Ripley! I haven’t found the perfect nicknames for the other team members yet, which sucks because I’ve thought of them as my Pokémon for a really long time!

Other Pokémon I’d maybe put on her team include crobat, vaporeon, sylveon, rowlet, weavile, drifblum, pikachu or raichu… many more pop in my head! They’re all Pokémon I remember fondly from Nuzlockes! Rowlet is the closest to actually joining my headcannon team. I’ve also drawn her with a lot of Pokémon over the years, due to role playing, nuzlockes, etc.

My only long term furry OC besides my fursona is literally just the furry version of the dog amalgam from undertale. Their name is Void and it’s not meant to be a furry version of that character, more like a fursona inspired by it. Like I don’t picture this oc physically in the undertale universe or in any au. But he’s very special to me!

On the opposite end of fan characters, I also have a Hollow Knight OC that I very much do picture in the HK universe as a minor boss type character. Aspid is (obviously) an aspid type enemy, probably fights like a more advanced version of the other aspid enemies combined. Would not be a hard boss once wings are unlocked, but probably is fairly easy without them if you are good at using claws/pogo-ing in combat.

Anyway. Time to explain Merry's main pokemon team (plus some extras I chose for them to use if they ever need to type swap. And because I'm indecisive)

Merry’s Main 6-

Gogoat: Both in reference to Merry raising sheep and the animal I associate them with being a ram, but also... it's described as being able to sense people's feelings by touching them with its horns. That could be a good therapy pokemon :)

Swampert: Chosen mostly because I wanted them to have a starter on their team and I thought a water starter could fit. Only later did I decide to also add Blaziken akbdbakdjhd.

Also it can predict storms which could be good for if Merry still sails in a pokemon au.

Noivern: Of course I had to give them my favorite bat pokemon- I felt it was a good reference to where they came from first (fallen london)

Sigilyph (shiny): When I first made teams for a couple of my ocs, I wanted to give each of them at least one shiny pokemon. Sigilyph is a good reference to Merry's craving to learn "forbidden knowledge" aka the correspondence and discordance in fallen london.

Scrafty: I originally made this team for a pokemon au with a friend and I had said that Merry was hoping to become a fighting type gym leader. This one was also chosen because it's dark type and their partner specializes in dark types! Also it's a very Merry type of pokemon...

Polteageist: Spoiler alert. Ghost pokemon, right? What if they had a ghost pokemon that was their dead brother at one point? They probably refuse to use him in harder fights because they don't like seeing him get hurt badly...

Others-

Crabominable: Fighting type! Plus maybe a reference to the crab monsters in sunless sea and fallen london.

Unown (shiny): Another shiny and a reference to the correspondence!

Blaziken: Fighting fire type screams Merry at me...

Granbull: I don't remember why I originally chose this one but... silly doggy :)

One of my favorite pokemon too!

Kabutops: I also don't remember my original meaning behind this one, but oddly enough I think it's fitting. Good fossil pokemon for them since it's water type and has big ass knife hands.

Lycanroc (dusk): They don't use this one very often, mostly because of bad memories. It was given to them as a gift from a past partner in a relationship that ended... horribly. He had a matching midnight Lycanroc.

Hawlucha: Also another favorite, but a fighting type as well! It's also a wrestling themed pokemon, and Merry used to wrestle a bit while they were training to learn how to fight!

heyyyy, you are very courageous to activate this topic since I've been currently busy with the scarvi dlc, but my all time fave's

NOIVERN

I don't even remember when I used it for the first time and how I fell so in love with it (it definitely wasn't the anime tho, I barely watched it). I just know I saw this funny bat and I fell in love.

Usually when thinking about Noivern I think about my Noivern oc Wydra, who's just a little chaotic berry thief of a threat. Very silly, bery casual. but i did a flying-type only run of pokemon Y not so long ago and Cloudburst the noivern I used there was also a fun one to play with (alongside Acerbus my beloved (mega)aerodactyl)

Noivern might not be on the same level as many other dragon-flying types, but it's the best one in my heard, and with a very good speed, decent special attack and a powerful boomburts, plus stabs, and fire coverage, it does hit quite well. And thus I often want to include one in my playthroughs of games, but I try to moderate it since I want to diversify the pokemon I use (that's the reason I did the flying run in Y; perfect excuse to have both Noivern AND aerodactyl and other pokemon in my team).

A few of my other all-time favs are the delphox and primarina line (I do have a weakness for the furbaits, sorry not sorry). Swampert was also my first pokemon and i'll always carry some special fondness for it.

alolan ninetales and togekiss also have a special place in my heart, for oc and playthrough reasons. Togekiss is very fun to use on an adventure team and I have one old alolan ninetales oc (I will probably never talk about them here because it's not something i'm too proud of, but maybe if I revamp them fully?). Also a shiny Eevee I randomly got in pokemon legends arceus is The Shiny Eevee for me. It's level 100, but I refuse to evolve it. it'll be my wonderful little baby eevee forever <3. ALSO Giratina. I shiny hunted one in ultra sun and this little baby is my beloved

Paldea right now is also making me have a lot of fun with the new pokemon.

Oooo do you have any ideas what your ocs partner pokemon would be or what route they'd take in the pokemon world(gym battle trainer, contest trainer, breeder, daycare runner, pokenurse, etc for any option I'm missing)?

I think Elio, Yvaine, and Roi would have the classic ambition to be the very best like no one ever was, with Yvaine having the highest likelihood of becoming a gym leader or elite four member(I guess I just think she’s cool enough lol. She’d either be a ghost, fighting, or dark type gym leader). I think Quacey would become a Pokémon researcher. For Aoife, I’m not super sure. I could see them being anything really. Most likely they’d be a teacher, caretaker, or researcher. Zenith would be the leader of an evil team. And he’d probably be bold enough to just straight up call it Team Zenith.

I want to eventually give them all designs and fully thought out teams but I think I’ll just share at least one Pokemon I think each of them would have.

Quacey would definitely have a Metagross or Archaludon(I think Archaludon just shares a lot of his shapes. Plus it’s one of my new favorite Pokemon. I got a shiny one named Bifröst. She’s perfect.)

Roi would 100% have a Scolipede(yet another of my favorite Pokemon lol) or Centiscorch.

Yvaine would have an Annihilape. No question.

I could see Elio with some of the classics like a bulbasaur or flareon. Dusk form Lycanroc would be a good fit for him as well.

For Aoife, yet again I’m not super sure. Sylveon, Gardevoir, or Hatterene are…pink and pretty. Or maybe they’d have something unpredictable like Copperajah or Aggron.

Zenith would either have a shiny Noivern or just straight up a Rayquaza.

Leo: Torterra, Riolu, Ninjask, Zangoose, Gibble, Kedabra

Donnie: Blastoise, Rotom, Porygon, Beldum, Golek, Cacturne

Raph: Drednaw, Clefairy, Machoke, Snorlax, Makuhita, Ludicolo

Mikey: Torkal, Smeargle, Bellossom, Baltoy, Cranidos

April: Crustle, Zorua, Solosis, Fletchinder, Skitty, Noivern

Casey: Tirtouga, Mimikyu, Porygon-Z, Trubbish, Amaura, Applin

My reasonings on why for each are below the cut :):

Leo:

Torterr:- big and strong but so cute and full of love and life. He kinda just. Holds the fam together. his first pokemon (all the turtle pokemon are the brothers starters)

Riolu: Blue pokemon and physical fighting with some Magic, and i just love riolu and i feel like it compliments Leader Leo very well (he evolved when leo steps up and accepts his role as leader. leader of what? idk i havent thought that far into this au)

Ninjask: greatest ninja ever needs a ninja pokemon :)

Zangoose: his eye. His eye marking. Is like leo’s. Im a simple man i see red eye mark i go ‘oh thats leo’ 

Gible: blue and chompy. I like the idea of leo being Tormented by this lil chompy guy and then he evolves into this real powerful pokemon. And then he still torments him for him

Kedabra: teleports. leo teleports.

Donnie:

Blasoise: gun turtle. Idk what else to say (i was gonna give him torterra bc ‘but my real passion is biology’ but. Gun turtle.) I think he helps leo take care of his torterra tho

Rotom: this feels a lil self-explanatory lol. but with his rotom, he builds more than the “standard’ rotom body options for him, including one of those toy punching robots (fighting), a jetpack form (flying, but cooler than the fan form), a robot dragon (dragon), a fertilizer spreader thing (poison), and of course his favorite: Gun (steel)

Porygon: again, self explanatory i think. It evolves in a really Climatic Moment too and like Saves The Day (but more of a one-off episode Climatic Moment)

Beldum: another lil robot guy. donnie thought it was cool, and then he learned its evolution is super strong and went “heh knew it all along” but he is clearly lying to look cool

Golek: a lil robot (kinda) guy

Cacturne: he likes botany. And also hes smart enough to kno he needs some type differences in his team (the cacturne was a gift from his bros when they saw how much he liked their grass types)

Raph:

Drednaw: i mean LOOK at that guy. He’d have a shiny version bc the shiny version is a greener shade AND has red on it. Big spiky. 

Clefairy: cuddly boy for a cuddly boy

Machoke: he saw one pokemon fight as a kid and fell in love. And then he saw the contests and started entering those, and people think he aims for the “cool” ones but he keeps winning the “cute” ones with his machoke

Snorlax: raph uses him all the time to make his brothers (mostly donnie and leo) sleep, bc he has snorlax (SAFELY) lay on them and fall asleep

Makuhita: cute lil punchy boy :) also reminds me of the paper friend

Ludicolo: i mean come on look at the lil guy of course hes raphs pokemon

Mikey:

Torkoal: fiery turtle. Hot and fun. I think he likes to leap into the air using his back steam (i imagine him yelling “FULL STEAM AHEAD” and then torkoal moves so slow)

Smeargle: self explanatory. Little bouncy art guy. this is his main pokemon, always hanging around him outside the pokeball.

Bellossom: this one just looks like mikey to me. i think him getting it was like a “he saw it abandoned and wanted to return it to its trainer, but it lost a contest so the trainer abandoned it. it now doesnt wanna do contests, but wants BLOOD” type thing. (ok it doesnt want blood but it likes fighting more)

Baltoy: mikey saw this lil clay guy and they bonded immediately. Also some psychic bc mystic magic feels psychic to me. his smeargly likes to paint on it like ceramics

Cranidos: looks like the robot dino from the cut episode, so of course i picked it

Chingling: im not 100% sold on this as one of his pokemon, but its bright and cute and psychic, so i picked it. im open to other ideas tho

April:

Crustle: when they were little and first met april, they wanted her to be apart of their Turtle Squad, so donnie played distraction while they went to catch her one. They saw crustle and went “legs and shell? Fuck yeah turtle pokemon.” when they brought it donnie immediately was like “thats a crab.” but april was so touched she refused to let them try again and she cherishes it so much

Zoura: its mayhem. little chaos fox/animal. always on her shoulders/in her arms/pranking the bros

Solosis: she thinks its cute (raph agrees) but she has to keep it in its ball when shes around donnie bc the texture makes him very upset

Fletchinder: she gives me bird vibes idk and shes passionate (firey). 

Skitty: april deserves a cute lil kitty i think. it pretends to be nice but is also means to the boys behind aprils back (aprils pretends not to notice and plays innoncent when the bros confront her but when they leave she gives the skitty a poffin)

Noivern: one donnie actually caught for her (as a noibat) bc it was purple (and he obvs likes purple) and it flies so she could travel far easily and safely. april and donnie are besties and they are the only two the noivern let ride on its back, everyone else it will only carry them in its claws

Casey:

Tirtouga: future donnie made/revived him, and gave him to casey. Casey is a Part of their Turtle Family. Also hes from 100 million years ago, casey is from future. Theyre both lost in time. Idk its cute

Mimiku: it gives me future vibes. It now uses the pikachu disguise to be more intimidating than its form beneath the disguise (due to the electricity). I think also the future has a poison variation that makes it dangerous to touch if it doesnt trust you

Porygon-Z: i really dont wanna say why he has the evolved form of donnies pokemon. But i think yall kno. yes its sad. and yes its weird when they go back in time and see each other. but i think the circumstances that made it evolve to porygon-z are Apocolypse-Only so donnies wont go past porygon2 and make it Extra Weird

Trubbish: a trash pokemon from his apocalyptic future. theyre everywhere. casey loves him and is very defensive of him when he first gets to the past/present, bc new york looks so clean in comparison to the future (when he finally sees all the trubbish there bc its a city hes happy bc his trubbish isnt an outlier)

Amaura: future leo gave him the egg, and he was carrying it around for a while. It only hatched in the past (bc it felt safe enough to do it). yes casey cried. yes he named it after leo (subtly) (it isnt that subtle. probably nicknamed it like Ardo or something).

Applin: the first pokemon he caught in the past/present. He was so surprised to see such a vibrant grass type and he got so excited (grass type are very very rare in the future)

Mikey did the classic Pokemon Magic (thats esp common in the movies) and summoned dialga to send casey back in time. Leo helped by summoning palkia to send him to the right Space. Giratina is there for idk the kraang prison dimension. I havent formulated a lot of it this is just for funsies.

lol I love pokemon questions I don't think you guys know how invested I am, I actually have a complete living national dex! (including variants, damn Unowns, and Vivillions!) I'll always remember the fun I had completing it, and continuing to collect new pokemon <3

Mudkip is probably my favorite starter! But I have lots of faves, a lot of my faves tend to be memorable pokemon that I had on my teams. I breed teams! I don't play competitively as much, but the knowledge is still all there. Arcanine has a soft spot in my heart it was the first pokemon I ever got to level 100! Crobat! I was so surprised when my Golbat evolved into a Crobat! I didn't even know that was a thing as a kid and I loved her ever since!, Furret, Gogoat, Gastrodon, Noivern, Tyrantrum (had a Jolly one on my team, and it wrecked shop) I love my shiny Wooloo he was useless but it was the thought that counts <3 APPLETUN my sweet baby! Syelveon is my favorite Eevee evuoltion! Had one on my X team named Star, he was a killer! Mightyena ahh Wulfric, my boy! his son Wulfric Jr. was useless though lol

Have you ever gotten a shiny Pokémon? If yes, what pokémon and from which game? If no, that's ok! It took me a long time to get one, the first one I got was a Combee that I went out of my way to hunt in Sword. Also, do you have a favorite shiny?

Shinies are pretty easy to get in scarvio tbh. (I also have a handful in legends arceus, but scarlet has the most) a few of these guys i got through trading so their legality is... questionable. But most of them i caught on my own. I think my favourite shiny is noivern. I tried to shiny hunt that guy in sword, didn't work. But then scarvio came out and i was able to get him there!

(captions~) - After taking the finals I easily finished the teacher bonds and looked around the school where... someone was running a therapy service for looking at their Cyclizar?  No thanks, I’d rather look at my own, which I gave the best name possible: Motortongue.  (Get it? Mother tongue, but motor?)  Heh

- A while ago I decided to use level grinding time as resource grinding time which means when I saw Sunflora could spawn on this small island with no other grass types to cause overlap with the Grassy Encounter Power I went for it... and got two shinies while I was there!  Sunflora is super rare there, so there was a lot of running around looking at the flowers they can spawn on.  Buizel got the unoriginal name of Buoy, but the Mareanie’s name is a double pun!  It has barbs, but it’s also Barbie-Pink!  I’m really proud of that one, heh!

- After beating up Grusha (Who looked so cute trying to refuse the photo and failing, heh!) I decided to take on the chance to explore the last two areas  associated with the last two Team Star admins, since I haven’t touched their areas yet.  Probably should’ve started with the Fae Admins place and not the rocky area of the final admin, bc not having Climbing there is really hellish...

- The next day I explored the bamboo forest and found a funny meme in text before exploring the much smaller Fae Admin area, where I will be hunting Chansey during my grinding from now on, heh!  I also finally found the cave where the Glimmet swarm was last week, which I couldn’t have found because the cave was accessed by the beach.  Oh well, I already got plenty from that one split cave in EPA3.

- I finally began wrapping up the first three story lines!  Star☆Twinkle/Tinkaton (named after the first Precure season I enjoyed) looks so happy after beating up Tatsugiri, omg...  After unlocking Climbing thanks to her efforts I explored everywhere and finished my spike hunt... but I haven’t caught Ancient guys yet!

Right now I money grinding to buy the rest of the clothes I’m missing because I want to put together one final outfit before completing the first three story lines for good.  Veracidad fashion is so crazy expensive, augh...

(Mostly because I'm in one small area and can spot them easier now.)  Buizel got named Buoy and the Barbie-pink Mareanie got named... Barbie.  Puns! pic 5: jan 15th: "Ma'am, what part of '/I don't want to be a Champion/', don't you understand?" Skye says before Nemona starts choking her for insulting La Primera. pic 6: This got me to snort.  (As did the Dragon sisters.) pic 7: jan 16th: ඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞඞ pic 8: Got stuck in another cave and the battle decided to reposition me in the wall, lol.  Didn't fall out of the world on this one, tho. pic 9: jan 23th: She's so happy, omg...  But Steel/Flying is my favorite type combo and there's only three, and she's the enemy of one of them, augh! pic 10: jan 24th: Noivern swooped in when I was targetting it's shiny child, augh...  I did catch him, though!  Couldn't think of a good name so he's Tealous for now.

And that's that. All 400 pokemon caught in Scarlet(at least until the inevitable DLC).

Four shinies found along the way: Skiddo, Marill, Noivern(which I have traded for a shiny Gengar) and Shinx.

Had a lot of fun with this one, but I still think my favorite thing about it is how blatantly queer so many of the characters are~ The gameplay may be janky at points, but the writing is the best since Gen5(and arguably better).

Team Comp for the final stretch: Skeledirge, Garganacl, Dragalgae, Tinkaton, Gogoat(shiny!) and Baxcalibur. Baxcalibur was a last minute addition, replacing the Vespiquen that I had been using most of the game. Just...needed something else with an actual speed stat.

Now that I have all the mons, gonna do the Gym Leaders mk2 run and the post-game with some other pokes. Skeledirge and Baxcalibur are staying(gotta keep the starter + the mon who didn't get to face any gyms or the E4), and they will be joined by Volcarona, Slither Wing and Iron Moth(the present/past/future versions all of the same mon~). The last spot...still undecided. Maybe one of the Ruin pokes? Dunno.
