oh oh!! I just remembered that back during ficwip5k, I wrote a bit of a 2x5(x2???) double drabble!! the premise is an au where you hear the same things your soulmate does. it was inspired by a ficwip server fren and my neighbors playing xmas songs on September 1 😂 I'll leave it under the cut!

It’s not unlike Wufei to come into the Preventer’s headquarters with a serious mug, but this might be the first time he’s stomping into his office in quite the stormy mood. If Sally could pause the radio she’s listening to in her head (well, it’s Noin, but they like to take advantage of their soul link to keep abreast with any news), she would have. But she dials it down instead as she hurries over to check on Wufei.

“What’s gotten you this early?” she asks of the man pacing his office.

Wufei bares his fangs at her, snarling like the dragon of legend in their mother culture. But eventually, he relents. “I’ve been hearing nothing but Christmas songs in my head since last night. I could hardly sleep!” Looking for something to pitch through the window brings his attention to a red box waiting for him on his desk. “And what’s this?”

“From your friend, Duo.” Sally crosses her arms as Wufei rips the box open. “He said he gave one to everyone—”

“A Christmas album?!” Wufei almost sounds disgusted.

And Sally would have laughed if it hadn’t dawned on her what those Christmas songs in Wufei’s head mean.

Sää on ollut tänään koko päivän ajan erittäin kirkas ja aurinkoinen , täällä meillä Etelä-Suomessa , ja samalla myös melko viileä . 🙂 . Kivaa . 🙂 .

Lämpötila oli tänään aamulla vain noin +2°C asteen tasolla , meidän lämpömittarilla mitattuna , ja lämpötila nousi tänään aurinkoisessa säässä noin +11°C asteen tasolle . 🥶 . Hyrrr . 🥶 .

Minä ajoin tänään aamupäivällä polkupyörällä ostoksille Nurmijärven kirkonkylän S - markettiin , ja ajomatka oli tänään erittäin nautittavaa hyvin aurinkoisen sään takia . 🙂 . Kivaa . 🙂 .

yeah whatever ill post it. we all die one day anyway. i did all of this while buzzed on coffee so things are worded strangely and what it was kept morphing throughout. character in the right corner is noin september from s*nyuu. no more questions about that. any mistakes in the body of the text im blaming on sleep deprivation (i was running empty pretty much). perhaps thats why this happened.

its strange but now after taking a nap i recall nothing about my thought process. very strange image. who did i make this for. i certainly wasnt gonna post it i think at least it was not for public consumption. now that i look at it its not so crazy at all but the fact that i have no recollection of what i was thinking for three hours of one day is a bit concerning. i remember making this but not what i was thinking... this is his power

Major Maunula at the Lunkula airfield, Salmi, October 10, 1941.

Auvo Herman Toivo Maunula (1907 - 1944) who served in the Winter and Continuation War, was a Finnish pilot and Knight of the Mannerheim Cross # 90.

Auvo Maunula was appointed Knight of the Mannerheim Cross on September 8, 1942 following a nomination signed by Karl Oesch, Commander of the Olonets (Aunus) Group on May 21, 1942, and a further nomination signed by Air Force Commander Jarl Lundqvist on August 15, 1942.

Maunula personally flew about 200 military flights during the war, which was considerably more than what would normally be expected of the squadron commander. On these flights he shot down three enemy planes (Polikarpov R-5, Polikarpov I-16, Tomahawk).

Maunula was killed on a training flight on May 17, 1944. The Morane-Saulnier fighter (MS-628), under his control, fell into a downward spiral from which the plane no longer stretched, and plunged from a low altitude into the Pölläjärvi-lake, Hirvas.

Auvo Maunula is buried in war cemetery in Seinäjoki. •••••••• Majuri Auvo Maunula Lunkulan lentokentällä. 10.10.1941, Salmi.

Auvo Herman Toivo Maunula (1907 Alavieska - 1944 Hirvas) oli talvi- ja jatkosodassa palvellut suomalainen lentäjä ja Mannerheim-ristin ritari nro 90.

Auvo Maunula nimitettiin Aunuksen ryhmän komentajan Karl Oeschin 21.5.1942 allekirjoittaman nimitysesityksen sekä Ilmavoimien komentajan Jarl Lundqvistin 15.8.1942 allekirjoittaman lisäesityksen jälkeen Mannerheim-ristin ritariksi 8.9.1942.

Maunula lensi sodan aikana noin 200 taistelulentoa, mikä oli huomattavasti enemmän kuin mitä laivueen komentajalta tai lentueenpäälliköltä normaalisti odotettaisiin. Näillä lennoilla hän saavutti kolme ilmavoittoa (Polikarpov R-5, Polikarpov I-16, Tomahawk).

Helping a friend in need (♂ ver). (Scenario from ‘SKY: Three Cycles’ Act 3 Chapter 5 - Two Flames, One Light)

Noin sits quietly by a fallen pillar not far from the Wasteland Temple, body curled up and head down. He feels a presence come up to him—Fiyer, the fellow Child of the Light he befriended earlier at the end of the Hidden Forest.

"Noin! What happened?" Fiyer asks, confused and worried. After a short pause he realizes, "Zwai—where is she?" Noin's hands and shoulders tense up at the mention of his partner's name. It doesn't take long for Fiyer to piece things together. "Oh crab, pardon me..."

As Noin's thoughts spiral around Zwai's final moments and what he could've done to change it, he feels his body get pulled and held, and the next thing he knows is Fiyer is carrying him on his shoulders. Noin feels he doesn't deserve the good air and view from the height, so he simply buries his face in his friend's hair.

The ambient sound changes from open to enclosed. They must've entered the temple. He has no idea how Fiyer had to make a run for the gate to avoid the Dark Dragons. Candles are lit, and then he is put down on a platform. His friend looks at him with worried eyes. "Come on, you talked a lot when we were in the Valley. Now's also a great time to talk, so speak up."

Noin honestly tries to speak up, but instead he bursts into tears, sobbing through his words. "Zwai, she... she... I should've... been... the one instead...  I failed... She won't be reborn... Gone forever because..."

It's a given that once a Child of the Light dies nowhere near the Eye of Eden, the chances of that Child being reborn is slim, and those who do get reborn don't have memories of their past lives. There's not much Fiyer could do but make Noin feel his comforting presence. "I've seen too many of us perish there too, but I'm here, and now you're here. We just have to keep on going for those who were eaten by the Darkness."

Almost 18 000 five year olds will be offered free early childhood education next September - a record number of municipalities participate 

Hallitus aikoo pilotoida 2-vuotista esiopetusta vuoden 2021 heinäkuussa päättyvän kokeilun jälkeen.

The government intends to pilot 2 year preschool program in July 2021 after the end of trial program.

Lähes 30 kuntaa osallistuu elokuussa jatkuvaan viisivuotiaiden maksuttoman varhaiskasvatuksen kokeiluun, kerrotaan opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriön tiedotteessa.

Almost 30 municipalities will participate in August in an ongoing free early childhood education trial, as told by an education and culture ministry bulletin.

Vuonna 2018 alkaneessa kokeilussa kunnat tarjoavat 5-vuotiaille lapsille maksutta 20 tuntia varhaiskasvatusta viikossa.

In a trial which begin in 2018, municipalities offered 5 year old children for free 20 hours of early childhood education per week. 

Lapsia on kuntien arvion mukaan kokeilussa mukana kolmannella kaudella yhteensä noin 17 800. Näistä uusia lapsia varhaiskasvatuksen piirissä olisi 798.

The number of children in the trial according the municipalities during the three session is about 17 800. Of these children new to the early childhood education system would be about 798.

Kokeilulla pyritään lisäämään lasten osallistumista varhaiskasvatukseen. Sen avulla kerätään myös tietoa maksuttoman varhaiskasvatuksen vaikutuksista perheiden valintoihin ja vanhempien työllisyyteen.

With the trial there is an effort to increase children participation in early childhood education. Through this information is also collected about free early childhood education affects on family’s choices and parent’s employment.
