I can't help but think that Noa had something to do with Ego's downfall from soccer. We know that they were "old war buddies", according to Noa. We know that Ego is now "just a ghost", haunting Noa. But why? Why isn't Ego a top striker like he is when he had the same outlook as Isagi?
What if it was because Noa used him in the same way that he used Isagi? Used Ego and helped him get stronger and stronger only so he could use him as a rival and crush him in some way? Maybe in 'helping' Ego become strong, he ended up harming him instead? We know that Noa doesn't care what happens to other people so long as it has a benefit to him.
Is that also why Ego is so determined to make Kunigami into a copy of Noa? To change him into the man who crushed his dreams in hopes that Kunigami will crush his someday?
I just need to know. I need to know what happened between those two.
