Why There’s a Need to Stop Dog Meat Trade?

One of Asia's most serious animal welfare issues is the dog meat trade. Many authentic non-profit organizations are attempting to put an end to this horrible and brutal practice in various nations. Do you that meat of dog is easily available in Asian market. It is a major concern as majority of the these innocent pets are usually kidnapped. They are taken from the streets or farms in Korea, hauled vast distances, and slain inhumanely. It is high time now to stop dog meat trade and also save the life of those innocent and loyal pet..            

Dogs are often burned alive or dumped into enormous vats of boiling water to remove their fur in several regions of the world. Most suffer horribly as a result of being crammed into crates with no food or drink, and many are maimed or die from suffocation.

Possible Reasons to Stop Dog Meat Trade

There are many reasons that clearly indicate you should take step to stop dog meat trade. Some of these are:

1. Meat Dogs are Stolen and Not Farmed

Investigators from NoDogsLeftBehind found no large-scale meat dog breeding facilities in the country. The majority of dogs that end up on the dinner table are beloved domestic canines who have been taken from their owners. Theft of this magnitude is generating social instability and possibly murders.

2. It Spreads Diseases that Causes Risks to Lives

Every year, millions of canines are smuggled illegally. These animals have not been vaccinated against rabies to save money for the meat sellers. This dangerous error contributes to the spread of rabies, which kills many people each year. Thus, it is the hour’s need to stop dog meat trade.

3. Pathetic Behavior towards Innocent Pets

Instead of being bred, dogs are stolen, transferred without vaccines or evidence of origin, and sold in filthy conditions. Poison darts are used to kill many of the animals seized by dog thieves, while others carry diseases that can be spread to people.

4. Cruelty will Break Your Heart To The Core

Dogs are cruelly seized using cyanide-laced bait, poison-dart crossbows, and home-made shock guns. After that, they are put into tiny iron cages and shipped across long distances. Many die on the way and are tossed from the top of the truck when it is unloaded.

5. Stop Dog Meat Trade in the Name of Animal Welfare Awareness 

We must investigate the welfare of animals slaughtered for meat if we empathize with dogs and believe that they suffer brutally. Many people become involved in animal welfare after having a canine friend or protesting the cruelty of the dog meat trade.

Each animal is unique, and has the ability to experience fear and suffering. It is a fact that each of them has only one life. Is it legal for us to take it? Obviously not! NoDogsLeftBehind is one such organization that is actively involved to stop dog meat trade and encouraging people to save the life of innocent pets.

Dogs Rescued From Illegal Meat Trade, Trafficking Arrive At JFK Airport To Meet Forever Families NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A hundred dogs landed at JFK Airport on Friday morning to meet their forever families. Many were rescued from illegal traffickers in China’s dog meat trade, CBS2’s Natalie Duddridge reported. Special cargo of furry survivors were loaded off planes after traveling thousands of miles. They finally were able to greet their new owners. “I’m just, I don’t have words,” said Nicole Diodati, holding her new dog Ben. “It’s amazing.” “Can you imagine what he’s been through?” Duddridge asked. “I don’t think any of us can,” said Diodati. The global animal welfare group No Dogs Left Behind worked with activists in China to rescue these hundred dogs from slaughterhouses, wet markets and illegal traffickers. As bad as it is, video doesn’t show the worst of it. There are scenes too disturbing to show on our newscasts. “Once we actually save the dogs, it’s an incredible process of gathering these dogs that are beaten and tortured,” said Jeffrey Beri, founder of No Dogs Left Behind. “Pulling them from these inhumane cages, many of them dying, many of them dead, many of them infected with disease.” The dogs are taken to safe havens, given medical care and socialized to get them ready for adoption. Many of the families had been waiting months for the dogs to arrive. “Elated. So happy. The story behind these dogs is so sad,” one woman said. Beri said the pandemic limited efforts to save more dogs and get them back quickly. But finally, these pups have new homes.
