Grey skies covered the city, the mood of the day causing you to yawn drowsily.

“What a perfect day to just take a nap” you said while on the balcony of your apartment, your phone in your hand as you spoke to the man on your line.

“Maybe we can take one together” he said through the phone, his chill and relaxed voice making your chest feel warm.

“What makes you think I wanna see you?” you said to him with a smirk.

“What do you mean? You know you love when I come over” He said with a cocky tone, a smile forming on his face as the two of you started teasing each other.

“No I don’t” you said knowing you were provoking him as you took a seat on your lawn chair. Silence was heard on the other line for a moment before he spoke again, his voice sounding strained as if he was trying to hold back from saying something he didn’t want to.

“You wait there. I’ll be over soon” he said to you. Eventually you heard the sound of him ending the call and you chuckled to yourself. Lately you and him had been poking at each other every day, whether it was in the phone or in person. He’d always find some moment to flirt or say something that would be a little wreckless for a best friend to say but you liked it. You and him were constantly pushing the glass of water to the edge of the table, but would never let it spill or tip over.

Moment after moment went by before you heard the doorbell sound off throughout your place signaling the boy had made it. You got up and went to the door and opened it, him nodding at you as he said “wassup” before walking in.

“If I recall, you said you didn’t want me like me over but yet I’m here” he said

“Shut up little boy” you said to him with an eye roll

“Little boy?” He repeated, starting to walk up to you. You shouted “no” and tried to run, knowing exactly what he was going to do. Unfortunately he was successful and you felt your body lifted off the ground. You wiggles against him in defense, him laughing at you as he threw you down onto the couch. Your body bounced roughly as you yelped, Noel hovering above you.

“You’re gonna get enough of calling me a boy” he said attaching his lips to the delicate skin of your neck. He knew the perfect amount of sucking against your skin to apply so a hickey wouldn’t form. You’d let him do things like this all the time and he’d do the same. It never got any further than simple things like this though.

“Noel stop!” you said to him through a giggle as he started kissing against your neck a little longer than usual, his hands starting to feel the skin of your thighs.

“I don’t want to” he said stubbornly, raising his head up to look at you

“At least make me your girlfriend first” you said kissing the corner of his lips

“hush” he said keeping his lips close to yours.

“You first” You said to him while moving away

“Whatever, come back here” he said pulling you onto his chest as he rested his body on the couch. You never fully understood what was going on between you two, all you knew was that you and him clearly liked each other. Sure, titles weren’t always a big thing but they definitely mattered if it was confusion in between two people that clearly had feelings for each other.

You were close as possible to his body, the sound of his heartbeat thumping in sync with yours filling your ear. You wished the two of you were both on the same page just like your heartbeats.

You knew everything about Noel. That he was a Gemini, how he hates vegetables, he liked black pink and red velvet, his favorite scent, his favorite food, what ticks him off, you even noticed how he’d twiddle his fingers when he was thinking about something serious. You loved him, whether it was a friend or boyfriend, you loved him.

You had no clue if the feelings were mutual. He probably didn’t even know your favorite color for all you knew. He probably was just doing everything he did for the fun, a simple pass time.

“I’m a wildlife biologist. Probably not too interesting of a job to most but I love it” the man in front of you said.

You were on a date with a guy your friend set you up with. He was cute and more so smooth around the edges than rough. He had a very prim vibe about him and seemed like a gentleman so far.

Even so, you were already getting bored with him. dissatisfaction with sat in the back in the back of your mind as you and him talk. It was something that just wasn’t hitting off well.

“No no it does seem interesting. What type of wildlife do you encounter on the daily?” You asked trying to keep the conversation going so it didn’t get dry and awkward. The more you talked to him though the more you felt your enthusiasm and interest was forced. Luckily he didn’t notice it and kept talking happily about his job.

“Well I come across owls, fox’s, armadillos, and other things. You honestly never know what animal you’ll stumble upon” he said. You and him chatted while walking around a lake at a park, looking at all the nature surrounding you two. You got distracted when your phone started buzzing, your stomach fluttering.

It was Noel calling.

“Excuse me” you said to the man you were with, taking the phone call and turning away from him

“Yes?” You said

“Hey, I was thinking maybe we could watch movies together today” he said

“Well no actually. I’m on a date” you said

“Oh...well I’ll just call you tonight before bed” he said

“Okay cool-” you said before he hung up abruptly. You moved the phone from your ear and sighed a bit in disappointment. You knew Noel like the back of your hand and it didn’t take a rocket science to know he felt some type of way about you seeing another man at the moment. It wasn’t the first time he reacted in such a way anyways. Almost every time you talked to another guy he’d get an attitude with you about it although he’d claim nothing is wrong

“Anyways, what were we talking about?” You said with a smile.

Eventually the date ended just as the sun was setting, and you two parted ways. You were more than happy to just go home and rest in your bed. You enjoyed the nice outing but you weren’t feeling it today at all.

You checked your phone to see if maybe Noel texted you but there was no sign of him. Usually he would’ve texted you something by now seeing as though he texts you everyday multiple times, but there was nothing. Definitely another sign he was feeling salty.

The ride home was different.

No music played, it was just your thoughts and in conclusion: you were going to set the record straight with him tonight. He couldn’t keep playing tug of war with you like this.

You dialed his number before you could even get your shoes off when you stepped through the door of your apartment, the sound of him answering filling the quietness.

“Listen, whatever game you’ve been playing with me is over with. You love to reap the benefits of me being yours but won’t make me your girlfriend or tell me what’s up. Since we’re just friends, I’m going to treat you as such. You’ll never lay a finger on me again! I’m tired of you!” You yelled into the phone. It was silent before he spoke, his words catching you off guard

“Shouldn’t I be mad?” He said

“What?”

“You’re the one that cheated on me today” he responded

“You’re not my boyfriend, how did I cheat on you?!” You yelled

“I am your boyfriend” he replied.

“Noel stop playing-“

“Would a regular guy know your zodiac, favorite food, favorite color, the butterscotch scented perfume you wear, or notice how you twirl your fork or spoon when you eat something good?” He mentioned back

“Well...I-I guess not-“

“Exactly. You’re my girl from now on” he said cutting you off

“You can’t just up and claim me like that” you said starting to yell at him again

“Goodnight girlfriend” he said with a laugh before hanging up in your face.

I'm so confused with HSH like who is she? How does she has connections to so many idols? How is it that she's a known dealer and still walks freely? Isn't she stupid rich? What's her motive then? Like I'm just so confused.

Well, she was a former idol trainee (I think even a yg trainee, but I’m not sure) when her first scandal was released with top, everyone in Korea was against her lmao. They caller druggie and so on etc, she even got in jail for drug consumption etc ( later it got leaked that this crazy ass bitch was multiple times in jail already). But as always her family bailed her out, honestly I dont know how powerful her family is, but they must be RICH RICH, to afford one such daughter in their environment. I remember when the rapper no:el , (whose family is also weahlty, his father had to resign from his job in the politic industry, bc his son was like that)

So my point is that she is richhh, her friend Jung Da Eun is also fucking rich she even had connection to the former imprisoned burning sun director, after all these things I think nobody can jail them lmao I’ve given up. Nowadays koreans see her as some sort of idol killer etc, bc she as a known man hater loves to get dirt of all male idols out. Especially when she helped with the burning sun case, they still dont like her but they also don’t completely hate her sadly. She has become an It girl with a terrible personality in korea. Oh and her motive? I think bc she couldnt be an idol she hates everybody who has achieved to become one lmao. Also she is fucking bored, like imagine you’re simply too rich and don’t have to work for anything bc daddy gives you literally anything. She does everything to get even the smallest glimps of attention, she simply loves it. I dont really think that she is completely sane either, maybe thats the reason why her family doesnt do anything against her crazy ass

191226: day three

I noticed that in the Korean Hip Hop world, there are many music labels that rappers sign under, and these groups are very similar to K-Pop, for their closeness and friendliness towards each other. That said, these artists create their own songs and albums, but all together, each music label has at least a few songs that are created with snippets of each rapper, like a cake and every rapper is an ingredient. 

One combination song that is straight up fire is BAND by four members of Ambition Musik Group: CHANGMO, Hash Swan, ASH ISLAND, and Keem Hyoeun. The bands that they refer to are bands of money, and with their signature music clip of Hyoeun yelling “BITION BOYZ” in the background, the track pulls up and absolutely slaps. Automatically, I had to add this to my workout playlist because it made me feel like I was capable of ruling the world, and as others may call it, I felt like a “bad b!tch.” CHANGMO leads the boys and is almost always in charge of the hook, Hash Swan has his “lazy rap,” ASH ISLAND switches between emo rap and aggressive rap, and Keem Hyoeun raps with special attention to his pronounciation, popping his syllables.

Another song to listen to is IndiGO by Indigo Music Group—comprised of rappers JUSTHIS, Kid milli, NO:EL, and Young B. This song is the definition of AGGRESSIVE. When I first listened to this song, I felt a little overwhelmed because of the hard beat and the animalistic feel of the rappers as I imagined them almost spitting onto the microphone as they dropped their bars. From the first “Brilliant ... and Indigo” I was hooked, and as I listened to it more, I found myself bopping to the spitfire, my hair messy and loose and I did some kind of mosh-like movements in my bedroom.

Today, I learned that Korea has a lot of underground groups and these group members are always supporting each other through social media, reality tv shows, and even on their own songs. PENOMECO even introduces the other members of his group as his “music friends” on Show Me The Money 8, and I kind of got an understanding that these groups are like families and that’s a little different than in American Hip Hop.

I know its been a very long time but I’m back and I have a laptop now. I’ll be able to do so much more now. This is gonna be great for me cause now i can sit and type the imagines out and I can focus on them. I recently got a new job and it’s very demanding and draining. but now I can update this list with all that I did before my long ass hiatus. no lyrics, but i imagine gyujeong hitting up noraebang with his old buddies from back in the day. considering his closest friends are equinox fans, three boys get together in a small room to belt out dumb dumb off key as they dance haphazardly to the dance. 

walking down the halls / nct u — make a wish

again no lyrics, but the general song that plays when gyu is walking down the halls. the song exudes a very sensual vibe, and though gyujeong isn’t marketed for his sex appeal, i see this song play as a ‘bad boy’ ode, playing into the public perception of what people may see of him when they just look at his resting bitch face walking down despite not knowing he’s a complete dweeb on the inside.

Song of the Week

You may notice that it is Thursday. And that Song of the Week is usually on Fridays. This is because I am travelling this weekend, and will most likely have little free time, and be spending most of that free time trying to be an adult who is capable of socializing. I swear I will survive, and I will enjoy it, even if I need to spend the next three days having a introvert crisis.

Honorable Mentions:

If you are looking for summer vibes, but aren’t quite sure what kind, go to the Genie Music channel on YouTube and click on literally any track added this week. I’m entirely certain one of them will hit the spot for me. None were super interesting to me, but I’m picky, so you might have more luck (except The First Penguin, that is a straight ballad).

If you want a female soloist a little bit more on the famous side, Chung Ha has made a comeback this week as she continues to cement herself in the k-pop scene. I think Love U is not her best song to date, but I do like the ethereal vocals (they remind me of Taeyeon a bit), and the dancing is incredible like always, so that alone makes it worth the watch.

I’m getting whiplash fro all of the debut/newish boy groups. Because I swear they all use the same samples, and similar producers as they all try and get that popular sound. But since most are from small companies, they don’t necessarily have the production to back it up. Varsity almost gets there with Flower, but not quite.

So, TIL that Noel and NO:EL are different. Because I was expecting a ballad when I opened 00. That is NOT what I got, on account of the fact that NO:EL is  a rapper. Who I haven’t heard of. With pretty good flow. And I a little bit love the backing track, because I think it is the prefect combination of simple and interesting. I haven’t like a rap in a while, so it is nice! Sadly, Parrot, the other single from this week, which I actually like the intro of a whole lot more, goes hard in on the trap chorus. It is too bad, because the verses are GOOD.

Y’all, if nothing else, please listen to the beginning of Triple H’s Retro Future, because it samples from the Electric Slide, and I died. And I guess if you like retro, you might like the rest of the song too. I don’t so I didn’t, no matter how much I love Hyuna.

Mamamoo has decided to join the Latin (though this may fall into the realm of Spanish instead of Latin America in some places) trend of the last year or so with Egotistic. And I like it well enough, but after SF9′s O Sole Mio and Suju’s Lo Siento, I’m less impressed by it as a concept. So the song has to stand on its own two feet. I think Egotistic does, but not as much as I want it to.

I want to like Oh My! from Seventeen more than I do. It is by no means bad, and it does the genre it is going for well, sliding right into an easy listening box with just enough a trendy edge to keep it current. But the highlight for me is only the dancing, because I can imagine getting tired of this track after a dozen or so listens, even if there is a really fun break down at the end that does its best to get me to love the song. Give me that break down as it own track, and I will be in 1000%.

I’m loving that the summer seems to be very much dominated by female artists, both well known and less so. On the fairly obscure end of that spectrum is Ashley with Here We Are, which is fun and happy and upbeat and little bit of an earworm. It is not revolutionary, but it doesn’t have to be because it knows exactly what it is trying to do, and succeeds at doing that.  She gets the win not for being the most out there, or the most interesting, but for being such a strong contender in an impressive week, and doing what she was trying to do perfectly.

Why didn’t Coogie join both Yellow Mobs and WYBH? It said he got the YM offer a few mins before WYBH but aren’t plenty of ppl in more than one crew? Also he’s often hanging out with WYBH members and even appeared on Dingo’s WYBH special.

I actually have the same question. No:el is in Red Boys in the Building (idk if that’s the whole name or if it’s just “Red Boys” and that’s their phrase), Cozy Boys, and WYBH so like ???? Maybe Yelows Mob has stricter admission requirements? (lol I’m just imagining yelows with a secret website somewhere that has their admissions requirements and then a link to their application lol).

Who do you think are the best lyricists (idols included) in khiphop ? I know its hard to judge since we don't speak korean but at least from the translation

I’ve answered this before LONG ago but my opinion on music is always changing of course so this is a GREAT question!

Idol rappers first since there’s few of them that are on the high level lol:

Mino

Yongguk

Rap Monster/Rap Mon/Namjoon/whatever you wanna call him

B.I.

B.I. and Youngguk are more about storytelling/songwriting in general, while Mino and Namjoon are more “wit” oriented but both also have a great balance of storytelling/songwriting as well. B.I. also has some wit but it’s not as strong as Mino for example (Mino is known for being one of the most skilled people in terms of wordplay.)

“Normal” rappers (quotations because that’s a weird as way to phrase it but my mind doesn’t know what else to say lol):

EK (Just judging off the little we’ve seen on SMTM. I’d have to look at his stuff but I’ll put him here for now)

OK so I can really think of anymore tbh. But I knwo for sure that most of the people on this list won’t be disputed. Maybe Junoflo, No:el or Super Bee? But I can’t imagine anybody else being disputed.

Those 3 probably come down to my personal preference the most and they are definitely not as skilled as many others on the list but I DO think they are pretty above average in terms of lyrics. Super Bee is more witty, while No:el and Junoflo’s are more like storytelling. Then everybody else on this list has a good combination of both, particularly Tablo and Chulgoo.
