Personality

Brisk Pestuous is a reserved, very moody fairy, who likes to put on the facade that he’s cold, emotionless, and only cares about himself. The problem is that he makes it SO obvious that he’s just pretending that there’s no point in acting that way in the first place. Despite this, he continues out of stubbornness.

Ever since he was little, he would always try being the fastest at anything, whether it be running, cleaning up, eating, and especially his favorite…flying. Being the fastest at flying means everything to him, and although there are many other things that should be more important and less “childish” to him in others’ opinions, flying is just his thing. Brisk’s biggest dream is to make it in the record books as the world’s greatest and fastest flyer.

Although he’s been working at his dream for basically his whole life, he often doubts himself, which contributes to his moody attitude. Not that he thinks anyone would upstage him due to his ego, but it’s more of him worrying about the future. Him worrying that he’ll accidentally go too far and hurt himself or that someone will hurt him, whether physically or emotionally, both could have potential dream crushing consequences.

Due to being a fairy, he’s naturally weaker and smaller than most guys at NRC, which threw him in for a loop on his first day. He was warned by other fairies about this, but he never took them seriously as he’s quite tall and strong for his species. This contributes to him being so closed off, the fear of getting hurt by other students, physically for the most part, since they’re so much more bigger than him, it makes him feel a little inferior.

He hates being vulnerable, if he had to choose between not accomplishing his dreams or revealing his deepest, darkest feelings, he would hesitate. He genuinely cares for other people, but he would NEVER say it to their face unless they’re a really close friend. He does little things behind peoples backs like if someone lost their pencil, the next time the person goes into their backpack, they’ll find a whole collection of pencils with their favorite colors and patterns on them.

Brisk’s main reason for joining NRC was to explore his other talents as he doesn’t want to be seen as a “one trick pony”. One of his favorite things to do besides fluttering around is creating powerful winds, he thinks it’s funny when he messes someone’s hair up, or turns a whole room upside down in the metaphorical sense. He also wants to improve on this skill to better defend himself. He also has an interest in potion making, he claims it’s because he likes to challenge himself, but in reality, it’s more because he likes the pretty colors. He’s also secretly a huge history nerd and love learning about how magic changes over time and how it came to be. He loves painting landscapes too.

Riddle: Brisk doesn’t like Riddle because of his tyrannical attitude, but despite that, he looks up to him quite a bit because of the fact that he’s one of the smallest students and one of the most intimidating, he sort of wants to be like him. Riddle doesn’t really think much of Brisk, he does tolerate him since he’s not much of a rule breaker, and because of the fact Brisk keeps Ace and Deuce in line (or at least tries to), and is cool with most of Heartsabyul.

Trey: He thinks Trey is cool, he likes his desserts, so much so that he sneaks into unbirthday parties to steal some, plus he feels safe around Trey with his “big brotherly” aura. Trey sometimes invites Brisk to unbirthday parties with Riddle’s permission as he knows he’s the one stealing things (he never sees him doing this though, he knows because of Ace and Deuce talking about how much Brisk loves his cupcakes)

Cater: Brisk finds the way Cater talks to be annoying sometimes, especially when Cater says something so chronically online Idia can barely understand him, but Cater is nice to him, so he doesn’t have it in his heart to outright hate him, plus he thinks he’s funny sometimes. Cater thinks Brisk is funny too, though for completely different reasons, he thinks he’s a nerd.

Ace and Deuce: He met Ace and Deuce the first day of school, immediately getting annoyed by them and their shenanigans, so he steered clear from them, ESPECIALLY when Grim (and Yuu to a extent) until he roped into helping them find out who was sabotaging the Spelldrive tournament, and ever since then Brisk has always had some kind of part to their adventures, much to his dismay/secret enjoyment. Brisk does like Duece more than Ace though and makes that very clear to Ace.

Leona: Brisk was immediately intimidated the moment he laid eyes on him, literally started shaking in his boots at the thought of him squeezing him till he pops. Leona barely knows who Brisk is, mostly because he always zooms past him out of paranoia to avoid being seen.

Ruggie: The only reasons Brisk doesn’t like Ruggie is because he scuffed up his shoe one time when they were first years and because he finds him annoying. Ruggie doesn’t think much of Brisk, he was considering being friends with him on the first day, but as soon as he was selected to be in Pomefiore, he immediately got disinterested.

Jack: He was initially terrified of Jack, even more so than Leona, so terrified he literally went in a trance of fear, but over time, he’s come to appreciate Jack’s morals, how honest he is and how he puts his all into everything, it inspires him, but he’ll never say that to his face. Jack likes Brisk because he tries to keep Ace and friends under control, plus he likes his determination, though Jack can sense how scared Brisk is of him, so he holds off on trying to be friends.

Octotrio: Hates all three of them. Terrified by the tweels for very obvious reasons, can’t stand Azul for the way he likes to swindle people, though he can’t help but admire how good he is at it. Azul and Jade think of him as just another student, but Floyd likes him a lot, he thinks he’s like Riddle with less anger issues and more easier to scare, which causes Brisk to develop a deep hatred towards him.

Kalim: Not even Brisk could resist Kalim’s sweetness and happy-go-lucky attitude despite his almost always grumpy demeanor. He secretly likes being around Kalim for that, though he’s too shy to actually consider him a friend, thinking he’s just nice to him because he’s nice to everyone else. Kalim considers Brisk as a friend and loves having him around, he just wishes he wouldn’t act so annoyed all the time like Jamil, but unlike Jamil, Kalim knows that Brisk just likes looking tough.

Jamil: They don’t really interact with each other besides casual greetings. Brisk secretly wants to get to know him better and thinks he’s cool, he also really likes his hair. Jamil would rather keep their relationship as it is because he secretly finds Brisk annoying.

Vil: Brisk finds him irritating, always making him and everyone else in Pomefiore dress, act, and look based off his beauty standards. Brisk never really thought of himself as ugly, but Vil is making him start to think otherwise. Vil actually likes Brisk a lot, he loves the way he’s so passionate about his dreams and his fashion sense, Vil just wants him to reach his full potential, doesn’t actually know he makes him feel bad.

Rook: Brisk has no idea how to feel about Rook. On one hand, he thinks he’s really annoying with all his poetic, french crap, but on the other hand, Brisk does like how he isn’t afraid to be himself no matter if everyone thinks he’s weird, he’s also nice the Brisk, so that’s a plus. Rook likes Brisk, he finds him interesting and also inspiring, he loves that he’s so committed to achieving his long time dream. Rook also thinks it’s fun to mess with him, he messes with him so much that he’s learned to tell what kind of mood he’s in, which Brisk finds both creepy and helpful.

Epel: Besides his brother, Epel is his best friend in all of Twisted Wonderland. Brisk and Epel both have a lot in common, and when once they both realized that the other wasn’t all “prissy and proper”, they’ve been close ever since. They both hate how Vil tries to make them look and act a certain way, so since they both share a dorm together, they use it as a secret safe place to be themselves, especially when Vil’s out or asleep. Epel makes Brisk lots of carved apples of things he thinks are cool, things he knows Brisk likes. In return, Brisk likes to paint pictures of Epel’s favorite things, though he’s got a bit of improvement to do with drawing. They both often vent to each other about their struggles and the ways they want to be seen.

Idia: They’ve literally have never spoken before a day in their lives. The only reason Brisk knows that Idia exists is because he’s a housewarden and because he on friendly terms with Ortho. Idia has never had a reason to interact with Brisk, though he does hear nice things about him through Ortho.

Ortho: He thinks Ortho is adorable, though he’ll never admit it, he also thinks robots are cool, so that’s a plus. Ortho thinks Brisk is cool too, he loves his wings and all his cool fairy powers. Ortho wants to hang out more with Brisk, but his grumpiness puts him off a little. Brisk wants to hang out more too, he just feels too shy to ask.

Malleus: They haven’t had a singular interaction as far as Brisk is is concerned, and he’s DESPERATE to keep it that way for obvious reasons. Malleus likes Brisk however, he thinks he’s silly and he likes it whenever he makes mini tornados, he thinks they’re cool.

Lilia and Silver: They’ve never interacted with each other besides Lilia scaring Brisk a few times and Brisk waking up Silver a few times, so he wouldn’t miss his classes.

Sebek: He’s only afraid of Sebek because he’s tall and strong, if he wasn’t, Brisk would just find him annoying. Sebek doesn’t really have much of an opinion on him, but he likes his dedication to his craft.

Grim and Yuu: Worst frenemies forever!! Mostly Grim is the enemy, he genuinely pisses Brisk off with his presence, but they’re cool whenever Grim behaves. Brisk is normally cool with Yuu, but finds it annoying they keep tickling his wings and pulling his ponytail. He also feels bad for both Yuu and Grim. Yuu because they’re trapped in a world that’s not their own, he realizes how lonely and isolating that must be. Grim because Yuu is his obviously his best friend atp, but Yuu will have to leave him behind eventually, then he’ll be back to being lonely.
