ok thoughts about Lee Jihye and the absence of Kim Namwoon

It's smth that never really factors in the novel, which makes sense considering they have way bigger things going on and LJH is often used as a comic relief character. But something that I think about often is how isolated LJH must've felt in kimcom. Younger than the adults and dismissed by them as a child, but older than the kids and not being able to really openly talk with them. And of course she had meaningfull relationships with kimcom, she had her captain and the older women to look up to, and she was often goofing around with the children. But still when you're a teenage girl it is very important to have someone your age to confide in. And I just think about the juxtapostition of her mostly doing childish stuff with the kids and then often sneaking alcohol on her own. And with the terrible way she lost her best friend, LJHs lack of peers her age, lack of people she can confide in about just the ordinary problems of being a teenager, must have really impacted her developmentally and affected her social abillities and emotional maturity on a very real level.

And the thing is. Lee Jihye was supposed to have that. She was supposed to have Kim Namwoon as her peer to bicker with and confide in and sneak alcohol with. And the crazy thing is she doesn't even know! She doesn't even know she had someone, that the her in every other timeline managed to have close bonds with someone her equal, even after what she had done, even with everything going on. She had someone and she doesn't even know it was robbed of her.

i think everyone coming up with ideas for what tattoos tmagp gerry has instead is so right and so smart and i love all of the ideas so much . but like personally to me in my head he still has the eye tattoos at least on his hands but instead of being because of the The Eye ™ it’s cause he does that Stereotypical Artist Thing of drawing eyes everywhere and one time he got bored and had no paper and started drawing them on his hand and he thought it looked super cool and decided to make it permanent

I personally love and obsess over disillusioned and self-isolating protagonists which is one of the reasons why I advocate for a Young Wizard who just leans so much into their role as the Savior that they're now just this broken down individual who now genuinely shares everyone's fears and legends of them of being this Ultra Powerful, Non-Human, Above-All-The-Peasants Legend Amongst Men. Being picked apart and analyzed (INCORRECTLY might I add) by strangers and people who fear/hate/revere you, no matter where you go or what you do, over and over and OVER it just literally whittles away at who you used to be, what used to make you happy and now you're replaced with what everyone made you into. Not You, but a Hero.

But you know what's even better 😈😈😈 a wizard who cracks in a different way and is now just baaaareeely holding it together. A wizard who just is not All There anymore. A wizard who's Good Maybe, but someone who genuinely gives you a GOOD REASON to fear a switch in allegiance. Someone who reminds you that your entire life depends on their mood

Give me Harley Quinn YW, give me a YW who cackles and shrieks in joy as they batter the evil to the ground, give me a YW who pushes at the very edge of the EXTREMES even when they don't need to. I want a YW who doesn't carry around a gleaming sword, or a mystical staff, but a bat with nails studded inside or a rusty machete; I want poems and songs of not a Hero but a wolf in sheep's clothing who just barely gets by in masquerading as the Commoners. An unhinged YW is the second to best Bad Ending you could ever get from this situation and I want everyone to think about this actually

BEEM IS NONBINARY!! ANOTHER NONBINARY ICON HAS BEEN BORNT BY NISHI!!! They are SO COOL!! Like hello??? They are precious, they mean everything to me 😭. The way they are so into art and horror makes me so happy to see them I’m the story. AND more Zeze!! When I saw him I was like “oh fuck no, it’s going to get weird,” hahaha. But it makes sense, his brother (if i remember correctly) is an author so it only makes sense for him to come into this arch. I do love him a lot, he’s very much like Ronove where I was like, god he’s so annoying, I do not like him. And? His dumbass grew on me. I’m excited to see his brand of a chaos in action again. (Also pleaseee I must see Zeze and Ronove talk with each other at some point in this story. They either are best friends or hate each other hahaha)

howdy! it's day 1 of MCYT fanfic appreciation week, and i was wondering if you had any future writing projects or other ideas that you wanted an excuse to talk about :D no pressure whatsoever to answer this ask, just thought i'd reach out ♡

ive got a couple ideas but no current WIPs. considering writing a sequel/alt pov to but i still hold out hope that maybe someday (also known as the rancher games), following a new character watching the games from back home, and having to live with what happened afterwards. jimmys sister, to be exact. i cant say much about this one without spoiling the original fic, but. there will be pain. and if you've read the original you know why there is pain. but there will also be seablings.

my second idea would have a more unusual format- ive got a massive superhero au i havent talked about here, just going feral on discord, but i was thinking about writing something for that. not plot, it doesnt really have much of that, but some kind of guide to all the hermit heroes. in the format of notes taken by the resident power copier, beef! with help (scribbles in the margins) from a zedaph.

the main thing stopping me from writing those right now is that i do not have a good handle on the characterization of either lizzie or beef. ive never written them before and having them as POV characters will be a challenge.
