Itachi was raised for the village. Sasuke was raised for the clan.
That’s why Itachi has to enact like a 10 year manipulation plan just to get Sasuke to stay in Konoha. Even AFTER his death he’s still trying to manipulate Sasuke using Shisui’s eye.
LET THAT BOY BECOME A TOMATO FARMER ACROSS THE SEA BRO 😭😭

Hinata Hyuga Slander and why it is obnoxiously idiotic.
I actually thought the Hinata Slander was a joke or one or two people sided with it. But I am totally taken aback to realize that it’s actually real—and a little popular—it’s real?
Prepare for a run down through Naruto Series kids, because some few fellas clearly did not watch it properly. Either that, orrr…they’re filled with unreasonable hatred for a character who should be the last to be hated. By literally anybody.
I’m going to try to keep this short (I’m lying), but there are going to be topics on Hinata I’m going to go over so it’s not a messy bunch and rather organized and you can skip to which ever you find most relevant.
Before anything, a remark, I never overly cared for Hinata’s existence and she isn’t even in my top 15 Naruto characters but that does not mean I dislike her nor do I look down at her character. Now imagine a person like me going out of their way to take time and write an entire blog for her—yeah, it’s that ridiculous.
There will be that one person—and I’m saying this beforehand—who will barely skim through this and childishly reply to my blog. Catch me caring though!
Tumblr media
All of the topics will include manga based evidence as well as a breakdown of the scene and what they portray, therefore, canon reasonings. There are plenty of other and more evidence out there, I will only provide some and main ones that back up claims. Here are topics I will be going over:
Hinata Hyuga as an anime character/character writing
Personality
Goals & Dedications
Skills & Strength
Incessant Love for Naruto Uzumaki
Tumblr media
#1 Character Writing
While many people believe that Kishimoto is terrible at writing female characters, I’d like to disagree. Females like Temari, Konan, Ino, and Karin all pass the main checkmarks of being an exceptionally “good” character; a solid background/past, special abilities, and set personality. What I do agree with though is that he does not know how to put them to use, and it is obvious why. These females were not the only ones tossed aside—so were good characters like Lee, Neji, Jiraiya, and so on, all because of the author’s obsession with the Uchiha as well as Sasuke’s story.
Hinata is included in the “good” character checklist, and rather exceeds. The difference between her and the rest of the women is that she is the best representation of an individualistic woman and had incredible character development.
↓ How did we go from a girl so easily shaken and brought down with mere words
Tumblr media
↓ To the girl who had the guts to charge against an Akatsuki member,
Tumblr media
↓ And seeked frontlines during the war?
Tumblr media
It may look like it’s only for the sake of Naruto, but it’s not entirely the reason, only partial. Everybody was set on saving Naruto anyway, instead of fighting the war themselves because they knew Naruto was their key to winning.
Hinata’s introduction may have started with her admiration for Naruto Uzumaki, and it did play a big part, but her entire existence never just revolved around romance. She had way more to her. Hinata’s character itself promotes women empowerment despite her not being the main female protagonist.
Through her writing, we learn that women don’t need to not seek love in order to be independent and a powerful female with goals and dedications that have nothing to do with romance. Hinata is a perfect example of this.
As a side-side character, Hinata excels in character writing, and is interesting enough to keep the audience invested in her existence. The next few manga pages and break-downs will explain it well.
Tumblr media
#2 Personality
Her personality did not revolve around her undying love for Naruto only. She was her own person, too.
↓ While shy and timid, Hinata is also a pure and kind hearted soul, as we do not know any character she actually has bad blood with, making her somebody easy to be around with. She’s very gentle, making the atmosphere around her almost tranquil.
Tumblr media
↓ Her conflict with Neji was very one-sided, and despite his harsh treatments, she still used honorifics and respected him.
Tumblr media
↓ Yes, she might be a soft human being, but not to the point she is unable to pick out flaws in other people.
Tumblr media
She seems more warmed up in Shippuden than she was in Classic, and it’s fair to say that ever since Chunin exams, she had gained confidence with the help of Naruto’s cheering. Confidence in herself and her skills. (Panels above may help)
Something to keep in mind is that Neji was known to be more cold, arrogant, and stronger than Sasuke during this time, by Kakashi’s words.
↓ Yet Hinata did not back away even after being told to, multiple times I believe, even by Kiba himself.
Tumblr media
↓ This was the beginning of her journey of trying to be more assertive about herself, as she believes she could keep on going without chickening out.
Tumblr media
↓ And she didn't back away when someone from the Hyuga Clan told her to do so--she was persistent.
Tumblr media
Hinata was never meant to be somebody with great leadership skills; she has always been a follower, almost, who takes a lot of inspiration from people she looks up to. The obvious person, Naruto, and Neji were mentioned.
Tumblr media
#3 Goals & Dedications
Her goal had never been only to be a wife and a lover to Naruto. It was one of her goals, the hope to get Naruto to acknowledge her, which he did several times. But that was not it, there was more.
Hinata did not seem so close with her family, so she had no certain goals regarding the Hyuga Clan. She was almost avoiding them and was deemed to be a shinobi, which she probably preferred, participated, and found likeness to, rather than the next heir to the Hyuga Clan, simply because her father did not believe her feather-like personality was fit for it, nor did Hinata seem too interested to lead a clan with such twisted rules and laws.
Despite her father's harsh, degrading words (and Neji's), she did not let it effect her because she continued to get stronger later on.
Tumblr media
Hinata always wanted to be self-assured, and wanted to be as confident as Naruto always has been. She wanted to be of use, somehow. Refer to #2, second last image.
↓ Here, too, we see her admitting that she never believed in herself, until she did.
Tumblr media
"I stared liking myself a little more..." shows she had very little fondness for herself.
Hinata wanted to change herself for a very long time. She did not ever want to stay the way she used to be--scared.
Another admittance,
Tumblr media
But then...
Tumblr media
All of these images show that Hinata had something she was thriving for, something she was dedicated to achieve that was not just romance. So, props to Hinata (and Tenten, but that's another story) for actually having a goal/objective.
Tumblr media
#4 Skills & Strength
All powers Hinata has been shown to use/possess:
Byakugan (Kekkei Genkai)
Gentle Fist (Specific Taijutsu)
The Eight Trigrams (Air Palm, Palm Rotation, 64-Palms)
The Gentle Step; Twin Lion Fist
The Eight Trigram; Twin Lions Surging Shots (Utilizes Hagoromo's Chakra)
Hamura Otsutsuki's Chakra
And some others I might’ve missed
I'm not going to make this section breaking down each ability, but I'm going to use this information to factually prove that Hinata has more amounts of known and used abilities than probably all female characters, as well as like 90% of overall Naruto characters or something. And she's definitely stronger than a lot of characters, logically, despite her not having been in fights very often.
During younger years, Hinata Hyuga was put against Neji Hyuga—once again, claimed to be possibly stronger than Sasuke at that time—and Hinata was actually able to put up with Neji. For a bit, or a while, it doesn't matter. For a young, scared girl who has never been in a fight before to be able to do so speaks for her skills.
Tumblr media
Inexperienced against the nearly strongest genin, one filled with hatred, among her generation, Hinata exceeded enough.
↓ In Shippuden, we even get a scene where she protects Neji!
Tumblr media
There's a very few people Hinata actually canonically fought, but when she did, she did plenty well for being a side-side character.
↓...And that same side-side character, Hinata Hyuga, was the only kunoichi in the entire show to actually land a hit on Pain, during Pain Arc. The inevitable praise.
Tumblr media
Here comes the cries of, “but she was flung LOL” “hinata didn’t achieve shit from this” “he threw her like she was nothing”
Frankly, those are most ignorant things you can say regarding her actions. To stand up against an Akatsuki member? That takes a lot of balls, considering that nobody was standing up for Naruto, and practically gave up, giving into Pain’s near-victory.
The entire point was not even to defeat Pain—it was to defend Naruto. And in doing so, she stalled for a bit, preventing him from immediately killing Naruto. In that amount of time, the few who remained could’ve backed her up, they could’ve offered some sense of rescue, but because of twist of fate, and the expected, Hinata was unable to keep Pain off of Naruto. It brought her to near-death, triggering Naruto Uzumaki’s 9-Tail-Fox.
Hinata was the fiercest woman. She wasn’t stupid, she accepted she was weaker and couldn't win before she even got onto the battle field. But she tried.
Tumblr media
The scene was never about physical strength to begin with; it was her strong mindset and dedication. She was aware of the consequences and still stepped in, demonstrating her everlasting commitment for Naruto. This entirely proves that she not only had great self-development, she had the audacity to stand against the strongest Akatsuki member (excluding Obito), who killed a Legendary Sannin.
Tumblr media
#5 Incessant Love for Naruto Uzumaki
In the entirety of Naruto Anime existence (excluding Boruto), only one of its movies have been considered canon, that being Naruto: The Last.
While I hoped it would show us Naruto promoting to Hokage, all of it was focused on Hinata and Naruto's relationship, and we found out a lot through it. Like, a lot.
There are very few couple/characters in Naruto that actually have past together/some story and strong reasoning to start liking their love interest. Such characters being Kushina, Karin, Konan (the K's lol), and of course, Hinata.
There are filler episodes that go before The Last, but I wouldn't count them (even if they add on to the actual story), but in The Last, we figure out that Hinata and Naruto first met when he protected her from getting bullied due to her Byakugan, and he gets beaten up for it.
Tumblr media
"Never go back on my word" was one of Naruto's internal rules that he stuck by and it made up his entire personality, almost. Hinata really seemed to respect it and use it for herself.
She tend to turn his imperfections into motivations,
Tumblr media
Those feelings seem to get more bold in Shippuden and more confronting. So much so she did not hesitate to put her life on the line for the boy. Not "just because." Hinata gave a list of unavoidable reasonings, that we were able to point out, too.
Tumblr media
And vice-versa, she did make a difference in Naruto's life pre-marriage. She gave him courage, motivation, and a reason to keep going. Refer to the fourth image in this section, too.
Then, our closure, he finally realized that Hinata has been there for him since the beginning of the times (also in The Last).
Tumblr media
“…but…but…! Hinata is a stalker! She was always watching Naruto! She’s so creepy!”
Okay, but her canonically shown watching Naruto was like, twice in 700 episodes… ↓
Tumblr media
And...honestly...it's not really...that...deep...lol? Old Japanese humor. And don't act like girls nowadays don't stalk the shit out of the boy they like--let's get real here. Just get over it. It's an exaggerated cartoon.
People have different views when it comes to love. But one thing I heavily disagree with are weak or false reasonings to fall in love with somebody. You’ll screw yourself over. Seeing a guy walk through the door and finding him physically attractive should not be your reason to “fall in love” and keeping that reason forever; you’re falling in love with his body, not him. It could be the start of your interest. Taking your time to get to know what kind of individual they are, and then accepting their personality, and falling in love with that person is guaranteed success. Reasons are important.
And Hinata understood that well, unlike someone who didn’t (I’m throwing shade!)
Tumblr media
(A very quick addition and counter-argument I might get is that Hinata was the cause of Neji's death. I didn't want to put this into an entire section because it'll involve mentioning Neji's own character. But to be frank, Neji chose to protect Hinata and died that way. And I idiotically love Neji far more than Hinata. You don't need somebody's permission to protect them, nor did Neji do it just because he was the lower branch of the Hyuga Clan. Neji and Hinata’s relationship was beyond that. Way beyond. Reread the manga, or even rewatch the anime, and listen and figure out why he did what he did. It had nothing to do with Hinata being a higher rank than him, at least not entirely at all.)
__________________________________________
I was going to add another section titled, "Comparison", but because of image restrictions and as well as the thought that this blog is only about Hinata, I scratched it out.
I don't even praise Hinata. She isn't my favorite Naruto female, either. Personally, for me, she just existed as a character. But I'd be damned if I threw any dirt on her for any reason.
If anything, I believe Hinata Hyuga's character is underappreciated in the way she should be appreciated. She's not just some...loyal, attractive girl (hell, Kishimoto never canonically even drew her with tight/exposing clothing, they were always baggy. So, screw the anime studio.) She was a figure of a powerful woman, better written than any other female in Naruto, and a strong individual, with more story than several, several other characters.
So when I heard "Hinata Slander" was a real thing, truly, I was baffled. I'll admit my blog was quite messy despite my effort to keep it organized with main claims and obvious evidence, but there are still multiple more panels that back up everything I've mentioned that make up Hinata's character.
After all this, I really don't think there's anything that can be said against her in the context (and lie) of "she is a horrible character." And there aren't a lot of characters she can fairly be compared to, anyway. She's just awesome.
As a person, and a side-side anime character, Hinata Hyuga undeniably exceeded.
"Hinata Slander" is fake. Find something better to do than embarrassing yourself.

Daria does her best to conceal the burning anger, but it's useless. It's hard to hide how she feels about the man she hates the most, the traitor, the reason why her sister's reputation had been torn to shreds when he was the one at fault for taking advantage of someone under the influence. And yet her sister was apparently the disgusting one? How did that work? How was that fair? Her lips visibly curl up into a snarl, teeth gritted. "If that bastard tries to come near either of you..." The kunoichi says lowly, threat lost to the air. She honestly doesn't think she'll be able to control herself if she ever she's the Uchiha again. This wasn't about Sasuke though. This was about Sakura. She breathes out to calm herself down, gently squeezing Sakura's hand. "Sakura, none of that is your fault. Or Sarada's. It's his. He took advantage of you when it was clear you were drunk." She should have been there. She shouldn't have left early that night, she should have stopped it. But then Sarada... there's many regrets she has about that night, but not Sarada. Never Sarada. "He's a traitor and a coward. Talking all this shit about rebuilding his clan, yet the minute he has a child he runs. Like he always does. Because that's the type of person he is. He doesn't want to take any responsibility for his own actions. But you did." Blue eyes soften as they look into green. "You took that responsibility even though you didn't have to, Saku... you gave that little girl an amazing mother, a mama that she loves so dearly. Do you know how many times she tells me she wants to be just like you?" Daria gives her a soft smile. "Just because your the medic doesn't mean you don't need help sometimes too... I'm here for you. Whenever you need me."
Tumblr media
Daria sighs softly. Hard blues soften as she takes a seat next to her sister. Closer enough to let her know that sje was there for her, but distant enough to giver her space. "Sakura..." she starts softly. "What's going on? I know that... a lot has happened. People in this village are unfair, and I know how hard words can hit. So please. Talk to me. I'm your sister, I'm here for you. I've proven that enough times, haven't I? Tell me what's wrong so I can help."

Sorry, but there are some misinformations in your latest ask, which i would politely correct (I'm not attacking you).
Itachi in general is a more loved character than Sasuke, by the general public and naruto's fans. For example; on tiktok (a very popular app used by billions of people on daily basis) he is the only naruto's character that gets viral every week here with everybody loving him (hardly the otherwise happens) meanwhile Sasuke there is not that much popular or loved, in general he is very much slandered here and ignored unlike Itachi. For the daily accounts on Twitter you have to put in consideration that the daily Sasuke account has been active since 2022, meanwhile the Itachi's one since months ago and just in these recent months they started to blow up. For the Naruto's polls; Itachi was #1 in a poll in which japanese people's favorite character is and Itachi was #1 and in the 99 poll Itachi was #2 not because his fanbase mass voted, But because has too many stans and in general he is loved [ i should inform myself on more polls ].
And for tumblr.... Most naruto's fans on this site are frighteningly chronically online, Most of their takes are awful and almost every character suffer from getting horrible takes on their name.. and Sasuke stans found their way on this site. Also Tumblr is is not even remotely close to the popularity of Twitter and Tiktok and Itachi stans are not chronically online to do the shit Sasuke stans do on daily basis on this site. And Sasuke lost so many polls on this site, which i find it funny, They're always in every character's business and yet they can't even get their fav to win a poll.... That's hilarious.
Thank you for reaching out, though I actually have to disagree with you on a couple of points there. I hope you don't mind.
Purpose of the Statistics
First of all, I admit that my post was very Tumblr-centric and that experiences might vary a lot between platforms. Tumblr is currently my primary social media platform due to its versatility. This is also why most of my experiences relate to this platform, on which Itachi hate is rampant, and Sasuke endorsement is the standard.
My previous post was mostly focused on Sasuke being a beloved character (in opposition to fandom's perception that he is hated). This is especially true for fandom spaces (ie. Tumblr, Ao3, and Twitter to a degree - I explain why these spaces in a minute) and how his fans act like victims on this platform while, ironically, victimizing other characters and their fans. They seem to believe that hating on one character somehow uplifts the other and that they are "justified" because Itachi doesn't receive "enough hate".
Tumblr media
And of course, of all the platforms to unload their frustrations on, they choose Tumblr. The one where they are the furthest thing from being a victim.
How to Measure Popularity?
But back on topic. Measuring popularity is a complicated thing. As you correctly pointed out, popularity varies in nature (ie. quantity and quality), and between platforms (influenced a lot by the platform's features and target audiences). This can also impact social media statistics, which is why character polls are probably the most reliable data to work with.
But not all polls are equal, are they? Look at that one popularity poll on Tumblr in which Sasuke lost to Ten-Ten or the one where Itachi lost to Yamato. It is not always the intention of respondents to measure popularity. Sometimes it is to troll. Sometimes it is to chase a reward.
Naruto 99
While it is an official poll in which Itachi managed to outrank Sasuke in terms of popularity, the Naruto 99 poll is also peculiar due to its voting conditions. Respondents were permitted to vote once EVERY DAY (giving fans both the ability to vote for multiple characters or pile votes on a singular character).
Tumblr media
Additionally, fans were given an incentive to vote, which is the promise of a designated one-shot manga. This is what, in the end, caused minor characters like Sakumo and Shisui to show up in the top 10. It's because they are characters with grand reputations and/or importance to the plot but a severe lack of content.
However, Sasuke is the deuteragonist of Naruto and still a major character in Boruto, regularly receiving content. The blanks are 99% filled for Sasuke - with official manga content, even! With Itachi, content is so scarce that people are completely capable of distorting his intentions of being a Konoha bootlicker and a genocidal sociopath.
So it was most definitely not just popularity that influenced the poll results - It was curiosity.
Tumblr media
Other Official Popularity Polls
It becomes more apparent that the Naruto 99 poll results likely don't reflect reality very well when looking at previous Naruto polls. In all previous polls, Sasuke has consistently gotten better results than Itachi.
Tumblr media
Itachi's popularity usually improved alongside his plot involvement (most notably his debut in chapter 139, Sasuke's memories starting chapter 220, Itachi's battle with Sasuke starting chapter 383, and Itachi's reveal starting chapter 396). While there's been a sharp decrease during the Tenshi Bridge Arc (likely due to his lack of plot relevance), Itachi's popularity largely appears to be mostly stable during the latter half of the manga.
Aside from plot involvement, Itachi's popularity was also influenced by sympathy, as it managed to climb up the furthest (excluding chapter 107 because it was before his debut) after the truth reveal. Sasuke's popularity experienced a similar improvement after the Uchiha Massacre flashbacks.
But now, ever since that last poll (and especially since the manga's conclusion), Sasuke's character has only become more sympathetic with his return to Konoha and mentoring of Boruto. Itachi, meanwhile, didn't appear in the manga in the past 10 years. It is rather unlikely that, of all things, Itachi's popularity increased rather than decreased in comparison to other characters.
Fandom vs Fanbase
Now, even assuming that Itachi's general popularity is, indeed, higher than Sasuke's, this does not have to reflect the fandom experience on every site (which is what bothered me so much in my previous post). The reason is that there are multiple types of fans more common on different platforms - namely "fandom fans" and "fanbase fans".
Fandom members are those who interact with other fans regularly by contributing their creativity and/or expertise. But that requires space for discussions, writing, and posting pictures. Tumblr fulfills all of those criteria! Platforms like Ao3 and Twitter/X also allow for worthwhile fandom interactions. Ao3 allows for posting fanfic. Twitter/X allows for discussions and sharing fan art.
Additionally, neither Ao3 nor Tumblr are known for any form of algorithm, meaning that fans need to make a conscious effort to seek out content. It requires effort and involvement that not just any fan has.
Then there are casuals and, how theheirofthesharingan likes to call them, "dudebros". They are mostly consumers. And even when they are creators, they take less of an interest in characters as "people" (ie. their personality, psychology, etc.) and therefore usually don't really interact with the fandom platforms to analyze and appreciate them. They are part of the greater "fanbase" but not the "fandom".
This often causes them to adopt the ideological standpoint of the source material. Characters who are not outright explained may end up misunderstood. Real-world parallels remain unnoticed. Ask a dudebro whether the Uchiha Massacre (a genocide) was justified and they might just answer "yes".
Like you said, Sasuke fans are way more active contributors to the fandom. Itachi fans are more active consumers. What I and other Itachi fans perceive is that, usually, Itachi has more "casual" and "dudebro" fans, likely due to his characterization as a "hero" or "martyr" by the narrative. Sasuke, meanwhile, suffers under the stigma of being an antagonist with complex trauma responses. To understand and appreciate him, a lot of effort is required, actually.
At the very least, this is the explanation that makes sense in my mind. It is a fact that the sites most known for fandom activity (ie. Tumblr and Ao3) have more Sasuke content than Itachi content, even if the general public might hold different opinions.
Itachi's Popularity on TikTok
TikTok is actually what I personally consider to be a space for "dudebro" or "casual" fans. The videos I see there are primarily song edits, focusing on vibes and aesthetics. They are cool but they are not deep or particularly big additions to the fandom. This is perfect for dudebros and casuals who are not looking for complex, in-depth content (or maybe not even fandom content at all but just canon content). Same dudebros and casuals who have a hard time getting to like Sasuke.
While this is just a hypothesis of mine, Itachi's popularity on TikTok might also be the result of "market saturation". Two types of market saturation, actually.
First, there is actually a great supply of Sasuke content already thanks to the manga and anime alone. In the case of Itachi, the manga ended 10 years ago. The anime 7 years ago. There has barely been any official content, hence the desperation for fan-created content.
And second, while I cannot confirm with 100% certainty (because TikTok's search feature sucks and always hides posts from me), Itachi content might go viral more often than Sasuke content, but Sasuke content might still get uploaded with greater frequency. Hence the #sasuke tag has 6.2M posts and the #itachi tag has 3.7M posts.
While this might also instead just be the result of Sasuke offering more source material to make edits with, the unequal amount of Itachi vs Sasuke content might create a certain "exclusivity". This might pile Itachi fans on just a few TikToks rather than spreading them out over multiple posts, causing disproportional view numbers.
There's a similar phenomenon on Ao3. Fandom content there does not rely on canon material for its generation. Its frequency mostly relies on popularity, not source material. Yet, the amount of Sasuke-centric fanfics stands in a 3:1 ratio with Itachi-centric fics.
Here you can see the amount of Sasuke- vs Itachi-centric fanfics uploaded each year to Ao3.
Tumblr media
However, the first couple of most recent Itachi-centric fanfics still have more kudos than the Sasuke-centric ones. But that only applies to the first couple of fanfics. The obvious explanation here is that Itachi fanfics are scarce, hence fans don't get to be choosy (the other explanation is that people just really like crossover fanfics, because that's what the two most popular Itachi-centric fanfics happened to be, haha).
Tumblr media
Itachi's Popularity on Twitter
It is absolutely true that the daily Sasuke account is older than the daily Itachi account. The claim that the daily Itachi account has only been around for a couple of months is incorrect, though, as it has been around since August 21st of last year. So more than a year, actually. Doesn't change that daily Sasuke has been active since March 2022 (2.5 years), but I felt like pointing it out.
Of course, follower counts might develop in either direction. Maybe the daily Itachi account will gain an additional 35k followers on top of its current 6k within the next 1.5 years. Regardless of which, I've actually got another source for comparison to offer, which is the daily Naruto account.
I looked at Sasuke and Itachi posts between August 1st and September 16th (today) and compared like counts. On average, Sasuke posts received 8488 likes, whereas Itachi posts received 5569.
Tumblr media
Either way, the fact remains, namely that on Tumblr Sasuke content is more popular both in terms of consumption and contribution. And the disproportionate hate is what I am hoping to get rid of.
If not... blocking spree. I am no longer willing to deal with people who find that bullying and shit-talking is a fine behavior while also being hypocrites about it.

✿ Monday Sneak Peaks ✿
The Best Revenge Chapter 40 | ShikaHina ✿ Ongoing
“Looking for something?” Shikamaru leaned over her desk. Hinata lifted her head a bounced the back of it off the bottom of her desk. She flinched and covered her head. Oh great, another headache. She backed up with her head lower. When she lifted her head, she found Shikamaru had put his hand where she might have hit her head again to make sure that she made her way out safely. It would seem that he was as sure of her clumsiness as she was.
Better Late Chapter 21 | SasuHina ✿ Ongoing
Hinata wiped at her face. She had to get home. She… She had to go home. She got up from the table, dazed and upset. She almost didn’t hear the staff member at the counter calling her. “Huh?” “The man that was with you left this for you.” An umbrella was held out to her. Hinata accepted it and looked out at the rain that made the dark evening even darker. It was cruel of him to think of her. It was cruel. It was all so cruel.
The Yakuza and Miss Bunny Chapter 06 | KisaHina ✿ Ongoing
Kisame stood outside of his car, keeping his eyes trained on either end of the street. Waiting for the bastard to try his luck again. The leaves and the trees were rustling in the wind. Inside of Miss Bunny's classroom, he could see her at her desk while the kids worked. She had her head tipped down on what she was working on, bringing her hand up to tuck her hair behind her ear. Damn, she was cute.
House Husband Chapter 11 | ItaHina ✿ Ongoing
Mikoto let out an ungodly screech as she ripped up the tabloid that once again had her son on the cover. “How do these bottom feeders live with themselves trying to play with people’s reputations!” She gave up on ripping the plastic-y paper and slammed the whole magazine into the trash. Sasuke brought his coffee to his lips unfazed by her tantrum as the staff coward tried to slowly back out of the room to not be blamed for bringing her the magazine that she asked for. “I am calling the publication.” Mikoto grabbed her phone. “This is slander.” She declared.
A Kiss Between Strangers Chapter 32 | GaaHina ✿ Ongoing
“Do you think I am a burden?” Gaara asked calmly and directly. It was so strange that she was unsure she heard him right even the second time. Temari flicked her hands off and grabbed a towel. “I am going to kill Kankuro. What the hell did he say now to make you think that?” She seethed.
Riding Hearts Chapter 35 | Akatsuki x Hinata ✿ Ongoing
“Hinata.” Hiashi snapped before she could open the door. “Stop.” Hinata flinched and turned back. “I heard Kisame…” “He was just leaving. He’s not welcome here.” What? Why not? “We do not mingle with that sort of ‘people’.” Hiashi spat with disgust. Hinata’s jaw dropped in utter disgust.

I can't believe someone actually wrote Sakura hate on my Nami defending post. Anyone who knows me would shriek in horror. I'm so enraged I've tried and failed to begin this post about a million times now.
While I find it a massive failure of a person's quality of intelligence and character to hate on misogynistically-written characters using the exact same language as the larger misogynistic fanbase who also hates them, despite thinking of themselves as somehow different, in general... when it comes to Haruno Sakura at this point if you're out here on the internet in 2024 saying negative things about her in random comment sections I genuinely think you're a clueless idiot and I hate your stupid guts. lol
The online mania of Sakura hatred left it's fucking mark on people who grew up as girls watching Naruto. I honestly wasn't a very online kid, so I only know about that from my friends' experiences, but how the show itself treated her left it's mark on me all on it's own. And I can see the legacy of that mania online now! Anything that so much as mentions female characters, or sexism, or annoying characters, in anime, will get mean comments about her. It's still here and it's infuriating!
Everyone should be able to separate the bigoted writing that can make a character unpleasant, and the character itself. Otherwise one just ends up contributing to the wave of hatred from bigoted fans. That always ends up hurting real people!
The widespread out-sized fervent hatred of Sakura is particularly something there is no excuse to continue to add to. At this point she represents so much more than a specific character. She symbolizes the continuation of a fucked up online culture that directs their ire at female shounen characters instead of the men who wrote them into horrible little boxes.
So, I don't even have to defend her actual character. It's not really about that. I'm going to anyways though. Because I love her to pieces and so much said about her is just slander.
Sakura fucking rules and is a compelling sympathetic character with a good arc, she was just written by a man who hates women and takes every single opportunity to put his female characters in their place. (The fucking background, kitchen, or grave.) Sometimes all three in that order!
Sakura's worst crime is being a 12 year old Girl. She's insensitive, as 12 year olds can be. She's hyper-conforming to hetero-feminine roles, as her society expects her to be, and she's over-the-top and embarrassing about it, because she's 12.
In the beginning she's often weak and scared in the background, because that's the box she was put into as The Girl. If she had gotten to have equal capability with her teammates early on then Kishimoto wouldn't have been able to focus totally on the male characters he actually cared about. To blame her for that instead of sympathizing with the angst it caused her is so heartless and backwards.
Tumblr media
All the writing involving Sasuke fucking sucked, and Sakura's the biggest victim of that. The whole "charm" of their "romance" is that she'll stand by him and love him no matter how terribly he treats her. Does that not sound fucking familiar. It is some of the most basic misogyny there is. That is an age-old evil expectation put on countless women, not a cute story. Hating their "romance", but expressing it by blaming her for being put into that role by Kishimoto is so fucking stupid.
(Also, it's so, so, easy to interpret her hyper performative heterosexuality as closeted lesbianism. She's so unintentionally gay-coded, especially her relationship with Ino.)
Tumblr media
It very much happens silently in the background, because I think Kishimoto will spontaneously start choking on his own blood if he tries to focus on a female character instead of his male faves for more than a single minute, but Sakura does have a good arc! Remember Inner-Sakura? She was treated as just a gag, but if you take her seriously for a second you'll realize it was actually deeply disturbing.
Sakura was repressing her anger and goofiness, because she was trying so hard to be this want-able, feminine girl. It wasn't just her unspoken thoughts, she had a whole alternate personality tucked away because of the trauma of being a girl in a sexist society.
Tumblr media
Ino describes it here as "A whole other psyche" and is so disturbed by it she asks her, "What are you?"
The most interesting, satisfying thing about Inner-Sakura is: She goes away. She goes away after Sakura trains under a strong, successful, funny, angry, loud woman. Tsunade helps Sakura express her anger instead of repressing it, just by being near her, she shows her the kind of woman she can be. She encourages her and teaches her to be strong and shows her it's okay to be mad. Now when Sakura is angry she can yell and punch a mountain into dust about it.
It's very much in the background, but it happens. And it's everything. How could you not care about it, once you notice it? How can you not care about her?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the most annoying things people say about Sakura is that she became strong out of nowhere. I think those people just weren't paying fucking attention to her lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not to mention, if Naruto and Sasuke can each get super-powered Sannin to train them personally, why can't Sakura? What's wrong with that? She wanted desperately to keep up with them, to be strong enough to protect them, and she knew exactly who to go to. Why wouldn't you root for her?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So what if there's nothing that makes her special, to those who only care about genetic abilities and tailed beasts. She works hard. She fights tooth and nail. There's a reason she gets along so well with Rock Lee. In Kakashi's words, "Like Naruto, Sakura possesses a heart that cannot bear to be beaten." In Sakura's:
Tumblr media
God, just. How can you not be obsessed with her? It's not her fault the sexist mangaka couldn't let her keep developing on-screen for more than one chapter per 30 volumes without actually grappling with the fact that there's a third person in his stupid two person narrative. She's so fucking great she's crazy she's rude she's funny she's audacious she has guts!!!!!!!!!!! You absolutely cannot come into my space with a negative word on her name. Love and respect Haruno Sakura or simply die.

Haruno Sakura and misogynistic ass fandom
sakura haruno is one of the most hated chareters in naruto with her hate being so comically massive that it surprised the creator himself... but why ? what went wrong with sakura ?
I, in particular ,am not a fan of the way kishimoto wrote women in the manga or how shonen in general potrays female charechters. But the thing with sakura and misogyny is that it has more to do with the fandom than the author ,and if you ask me ,compared to how demented the fandom is ,kishimoto practically looks like a feminist icon .  character criticisms dont bother me, but in the curious case of sakura alot of this “criticism” spirals down to very abbhorent misogyny.
starting right of the bat we have the dude-bros and self-projecting psycho's of the fandom, who hate her cause she's a shallow bitch(their main male charecter-onto whom they project- is a serial attention seeker btw , with being popular his main incentive in life) who likes the popular , good-looking guy and doesnt pay heed to the nice guy's advances dattebayo , no kidding -
Tumblr media
i found it difficult to wrap my head around how this utterly gross misogynistic nonsense is so fucking common , it seems that sakura might have triggered their deep down incel by daring to want sasuke -and this also happens to be the reason why hinata is so popular amongst that particular crowd -because unlike that shallow bitch who rejected our nice guy, hinata worshiped his tiny err.."naru-chan"
these wankers' try to paint hinata as the submissive waifu prototype (erasing even her little canon qualitites we get to see to fulfil there deraged fantasies) and just to cope with the fact that sakura rejected naruto , but err he got the plastic doll waifu , so all is well. they dont end it here though , they go on to elaborate how miserable and sad sakura's life and is that this is what she deserves for "choosing the emo" over the nice guy , while naruto apparently had a better ending for himself by "scoring" hinata .
it reminds me of this apallingly misogynistic meme-
Tumblr media
you'll hope these deraged psychos end here , but they dont.
the next slandering is surprise! surprise! -sakura's looks
because y'know naruto just had some dirt in his eye when he calls sakura cute. or even when making a remark on how incredibly beautiful haku is, sakura is the objective female beauty standard he compares him to, and the true hidden beauty in the series is hinata imao(the one whose been called weird, plain and crumpy throughout canon) or the inferiority at sakura's rejection and sasuke's obvious superiority to naruto is curbed by hyping up naruto's own looks saying (based on anime filler nonsense) that naruto "gets princess" and sasuke gets normal girls , while throughout the manga the only girl that shows any sort of romantic/sexual interest in naruto -is hinata (and the reason why she likes naruto has little to do w looks) , thats it , even when he becomes the messiah of the hidden village by making pain revive everyone-no girl is interested in him (I adore Kishimoto for doing this and not sticking to the sexist bs of these shallow bitches like our underdog nice guy only when he become popular GRR..GRR.., except for princess byakugan ofc- thennnn lo and behold ,studio peirriot uses this misogynist ass trope in "naruto:the last" , there is only a limit to keep rejecting you deranged fanbase i guess, sometimes one must comply for money)
these petty dumbsos dont even stop here, you though misogyny was enough? what about misogyny+sexualisation(of an UNDERAGE character) +body shaming ?
since sakura has commited the blashphemy of daring to reject naruto's advances (did you hear the recent news of a black woman getting hospitalized after she rejected a dude, becasue that turd was so pissed at her audacity that he threw a brick on her face or that gory case of junko furuta, may her soul be in peace, which is so sick i dont even want to delve into it), , dude-bros have to , no, NEED TO find ways to get back at her , uh? u rejected naruto? HAHAAH bish u flat
psychos , female charechters exist for girls to feel represented and not to serve as cumdumps for your repulsive incel mastrubatory fetishes.
sakura's own fandom has failed her in this regard with the net being bomabarded with sakura wankers' trying to prove their queen isnt flat, sizing her bosom from multiple angels across multiple panels so that she can finally fulfil her long impending destiny of actualizing the incel cumdump fetish
what is also curious is kishimoto doesnt comment anything on sakura's chest throughout the manga -he does add a panel of naruto's smol pp,and how naruto is insecure about it -NO one in canon says anything about anyone's bosom (excpet that creep jiraiya, but even he spares underage girls) and sakura almost never mentions any insecurity related to her boob size , she is insecure that she has big forehead, she is (perhaps) insecure about her weight that is why she skips her meal. heck even sai the roaster toaster with awfullly bad social boundries doesnt comment on it, but guess what? the fandom and SP does infact SP made a fucking full filler episode which is just sakura wanting big boobs and the comparisons of boobs from various koinichi's ranging from Tsunade, to tenten and ino, to shizune!)
why is this "boob measuring" so unique to sakura(and hinata -ill perhaps make a post on this sometime) why is no other female charecter subjected to this gross misogyny weird boob measuring contest, despite sakura not being the only girl who is flat chested- Tenten , Mikoto Uchiha and Shizune? well for one none of them has outright any interactions on level with naruto , second they dont irk anyone is any way - mikoto is also reduced to the trad sub wife prototype(she is what you'd say harmless, unlike the boisterous sakura, she is soft spoken , tends for the males areound her and doesn't err stand out), tenten and shizune are not even present in the narrative often and when they are , their words wrt to naruto are "safe" - they dont insult the main character , dont reject him dont make him look inferior so their boobs and body are spared
OH! just found another gem
Tumblr media
incase you are unable to read it properly
-Rin is confessing to kakashi
-and half crushed obito is saying "wow bitch"
Yeah Rin !! how tf can you do that! imagine a 12 y/o confessing to her crush before she commits suicide for the "greater good" of her village , OMG !! you're such a bitch how dare you like else someone when my self-projection has a crush on you !!!! the gal!! the the audacity !!my virgin tradwife hinata so much better fr fr

I was reading your post about the megumi character trope and this is related but not?
Anyways, as someone who likes both sasuke and megumi, and I've come to like sasuke recently as I've finally checked out naruto, but it's bizarre to me how superficial their similarities are and it's crazier how people reduce their characters to their aloofness or dar hair or things like that and use that as a way to judge a character overall when their character arcs are so different imo. I have issues with how sasuke's character was handled in the story, but I've become very fond of the things he did for the story overall, so no problem for me, but I'm not sure megumi's arc will end or proceed any similiar to sasuke's with revenge as the main motivation, or at least I don't think so, I'm a couple chaps behind, but yeah, the way both characters process their own trauma or how their motivations are different enough for me to ignore the superficial ways in which they are similiar
I say it's also tough liking both in fandom spaces because naruto is still really popular and jjk is in the spotlight currently, so fandoms can be tense with each other and it's exhausting to see the slander going every which way lol
They say this as a way to slander mgm, but the "Megumi will never be sasuke" is funny because I don't think he's trying to be???
HOLA!
WELCOME to THE ULTIMATE SHONEN BATTLE FOR THE BEST "QUIET AND ALOOF DEUTERAGONIST-KUN": MEGUMI VS SASUKE!
Who's better? Well... let's ask the internet...
Tumblr media
ok nvm. NEVER ask the internet for an opinion. ESPECIALLY when the Naruto fans who think Kishimoto is the mother of all anime tropes get involved.
This isn't even a question of whether Gege took inspiration from Sasuke for Megumi because 1) Sasuke himself takes inspiration from a Togashi character and, 2) "quiet and aloof deuteragonist-kun" is one of the most prevalent tropes in animanga--the trope is not even unique to shonen, hell even the 3-man team isn't unique to Naruto.
Nothing against Kishi but... he's doing the same thing every mangaka or author EVER has done--copying tropes.
At least Gege subverts them.
Let's taco'bout it more under the cut because I have many words to vomit about the topic.
Also... man, this is a fantastic conversation to have because, based on the comments I've seen about why Sasuke is "objectively" better, I feel like it comes back to a lack of introspection, dare I say toxic masculinity (?), and perhaps just not understanding or relating to Megumi as a character.
I've written before about Megumi's character development and how relating to him has a lot to do with how deeply you can be introspective about yourself. I won't address character development much here, so if you want to, you can read that post here.
Tumblr media
But when it comes to Megumi vs. Sasuke, it's almost like comparing apples to oranges. Yes, they're both fruit (quiet and aloof deuteragonist-kun), AND they also have a different flavor profile, different texture, different scent... the list goes on.
And the way I see it, if someone can't see how the differences between Sasuke and Megumi make them fundamentally different despite sharing the same trope, then they can't "objectively" claim one is better than the other.
So I'm going to go ahead and just say it.
I don't like Sasuke. I never did and I never understood why he was so popular.
The comments about Megumi having the depth of a kiddie pool?
Tumblr media
I feel the exact same about Sasuke.
I literally can't think of much to say about him other than he was pissy and had a sour attitude the whole time... umm... he wanted revenge and power... ? I guess?
And you know what? It's perfectly ok that I don't like Sasuke because my subjective opinion does not mean that someone who loves Sasuke is wrong about loving him. After all, my opinion should not be a measuring stick for someone who loves Sasuke.
In fact, I have moots who think very highly of Sasuke AND Megumi, and like them for different reasons. So I actually try to refrain from speaking negatively of Sasuke because I respect my moot's opinions and know that perhaps I am not seeing something they can.
That said, when we compare Sasuke and Megumi, we're measuring the characters against standards that don't apply to either of them.
Since Sasuke is on a revenge character arc, you can't really talk about how he explores his sense of self in order to re-define it (which is one of the main reasons I love Megumi). Sasuke wants power, but that just means he has to train harder.
Megumi does go the training route, but in the end, perhaps it was a moment of clarity and introspection that helped him level up, not just the physical training.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Likewise, since Megumi is on an arc meant to re-define his sense of self, you can't really talk about how he went about seeking power to reach his goal because Megumi is not interested in power for the sake of power, and/or does not have grandiose aspirations.
As you say, their motivations couldn't be more different.
Tumblr media
Now, I think it bears repeating that when I started watching jjk, even though I liked him right from the beginning, I thought Megumi was underwhelming af given his trope.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But that's only because, again, I was measuring Megumi against the wrong standards.
In retrospect, I also do feel like Gege wanted Megumi to be perceived as "underwhelming given his trope" (MOST ESPECIALLY SASUKE imo), otherwise the payoff in chapter 58 would not have had the same impact.
Tumblr media
So anyways.
To your point. Existing at the intersection of these two fandoms must be an interesting experience because most of the bad comparisons are rooted on surface level similarities.
Thing is, being able to see the nuance between the two characters and why neither is objectively better than the other, does require the ability to read below the surface AND to at least have a certain degree of emotional investment in the story and the characters.
Also, can I just say fandom wars are so pointless?
It's just a bunch of people who can't handle the idea that other people could have a different opinion because they see their opinion as the ultimate truth.
Tumblr media
And don't let me act like I'm not the kind of pretentious asshat who will say something like "Megumi is a purposeful deconstruction but Aki is a copy" because I can be quite elitist myself. I just also don't take my opinion too seriously because I know I don't own the ultimate truth about what is and isn't good media.
Also I like to indulge in trash tv like every normal human being in this planet so that alone makes my taste questionable.
To that point, I saw a really good quote that is so relevant to your ask:
The price for certainty means that other people must be wrong. And that leads to holy war.
Lionel Corbett
"uwu Megumi is weak"
But... there's something that has been nagging me about why people don't like Megumi in general that is highly related to how his predecessors, Sasuke included, set the bar we use to measure the trope, most specifically in Battle Shonen.
Tumblr media
And that's that the way me measure what makes Megumi a good character is based on toxic masculinity values.
Tumblr media
Now... I'm not an expert on the topic, so please correct me if I'm wrong or need to expand my perspective here but...
There's something inherently "toxic" about how people are approaching both Megumi independently of Sasuke, and Megumi compared to Sasuke.
Like... if Sasuke wouldn't curl up in a ball because he's had to experience a traumatic event and instead just keeps on going, that's called repression and/or suppression and it's both not a healthy coping mechanism AND not realistically written.
Tumblr media
So what if Sasuke would never?
Why is it wrong for a character (or a real human for that matter) to feel so defeated after the trauma they've had to face?
I am more interested in learning why we are so obsessed with looking down on a fictional character for feeling down on himself... like, Momo, are you ok, dude?
Do you ever allow yourself to feel all your feels or do you just berate yourself when you feel down on yourself?
Tumblr media
And why are we measuring trauma on a scale of who has it worse just so that we can cancel someone else's trauma?
Actually, the fact that we can sit here and talk about who has it best and who has it worse like it's a competition?
That's gaslighting, and it's toxic af.
But again. The problem is that jjk fans themselves hate on Megumi independently of whether they compare him to Sasuke or not.
Tumblr media
And I'm not sure whether kin here just has shitty reading comprehension skills, but...
I'm noticing a trend that has EVERYTHING to do with my female gaze and it's the fact that I kind of don't give a fuck about power scaling.
Like, it's cool. I'm not hating on people who do, you know. I'm just saying I don't care for it. But what I'm trying to say here is that people hate on Megumi for weird reasons...
Tumblr media
Like... I don't think Hyena here is reading the same manga if he can't tell that Megumi has had character development, unless what he expects in terms of character development is...
Tumblr media
Which is fine too... I loved dbz back in the day.
Who could ever forget Goku looking like he has to poop so bad his hair grows really long?
But like... are we fucking for real? JJK is far too nuanced to limit your experience of the manga to flashy fights and power ups only.
Again, if this is the standard we are using to measure Megumi as a character, no wonder people are disappointed.
So I say let them eat cake.
No shade to all of the people who I screenshotted here, but they're going to have to come up with smarter arguments to back up their subjective opinions about Sasuke's supposed objective superiority and why Megumi sucks.
In all honesty, the fact that Megumi is perceived as weak strikes me as toxic masculinity.
I get that some people read fiction to escape from their daily lives and not have to face the failures and successes they experience in the real world, but I personally want more human characters who fail and cry because that's more relatable to me than Goku's super powered instinct Saiyan form or whatever its called.
I guess we all read for different reasons. All I'm saying is "don't hate on Megumi for shortsighted reasons."
To bring it back to where it all started, let's be real here:
Megumi will NEVER be Sasuke
and that is fantastic news because Megumi is Megumi and that's exactly why we love him.
Tumblr media
Dear anon, I think I went on a rant there hahahaha.
BAH! I just get so annoyed when people hate on Megumi for shallow reasons. Like, if you don't like him, you don't like him and that's that. But like some of the comments about him are just...
LOL!
Thank you for stopping by anon!

Thoughts on Bleach Cour 3 Episode 1:
>Opening was ok. not my favorite (it certainly isn't the openings in soul society arc or after dark). but it's ok and does its job of explaining what will happen in the arc.
>Senjumaru's bankai was epic. I love the whole Kirby's epic yarn/arts and crafts vibes it has. Very creative bankai. also have to give her some credit where it's due. unlike most of squad zero, she actually accomplished more during the fight against Yhwach and his guards. Also gotta give props to her Japanese voice actress Rina Sato (aka Japanese VA of Naomi from Corpse Party, Velvet from Tales of Berseria, and Makoto from Persona 5), she did an amazing job as the character too. Squad Zero actually got to fight and we actually got to see Senjumaru's bankai unlike the manga, where the Sternritters just destroy them offscreen. Hell, the anime adaptation in general did a way better job with squad zero than the manga (also gotta give the anime some more credit for actually showing the entire scene of Aizen having a conversation with Yhwach in Muken instead of it all just happening off screen).
>oh man what's this? one of the squad zero members is singing a whole ass musical number while fighting Yhwach?! what is this, a western animated musical movie from the 90's?
>Love how Yhwach just does what he sets out to do and immediately doesn't even hesitate to stab the soul king. Like no waiting for Ichigo and his friends to fight him, no waiting for a worthy opponent. Just fucking do it. Soul King fucking dies. He is an absolute menace to society as a whole.
> Damn Yhwach can also make stairs in order to reach the Soul King's palace. Coming to think of it - why didn't Kaguya just make a staircase using her chakra, hit both Naruto and Sasuke, and be done with it. Or why didn't Kaguya just send Team 7 to a dimension like a poison dimension to kill them instantly? Yeah sorry, I couldn't help but slander Kaguya once again here (she's the only female Naruto character I actually hate, because she robbed my man Madara of being the final villain of Naruto and getting that epic final battle with team 7. Also if she didn't exist - maybe we'd still have more chapters to make a better ending, develop some underdeveloped relationships, have Naruto actually do some things as Hokage like fix the Rain Village, instead of wasting our time with the kaguya fight.)
>AIZEN!(°◡°♡) Yes, I know it's just mere crumbs of content (his appearance in the intro as well as the ending theme song and the post credits scene). But i can't help but simp.( ˘ ³˘) Also can't wait to see Aizen help Ichigo and his friends deal with Yhwach. After all, sometimes you gotta bring some evil to deal with evil.
>the end of the post credits scene shows the letter A. they said the thing, guys! they showed the title of the episode.

Note
There is one OVA where Sasuke dreams of Itachi making him an egg and Itachi makes two eggs, one with Uchiha symbol and one with Uzumaki symbol. Then Sasuke sees Naruto come get him. The latter scene looked like from one of Emi Rankai's (Narusasu artist) doujinshi. I do think at least someone in the staff had read Emi's doujinshi.
Perhaps. SNS is so blatantly obvious in the story, I can bet many people in the staff, who make a career out of storytelling, can see it. Look at the ops and eds. It's so blatant. I am at a point where I can't help but laugh when people deny it. Like lol. Seriously, it's funny. People in this fandom would chop their hair and slash their jugular before they would admit Sasuke and Naruto are gay and in love. Like it's so ridiculous how absolutely prejudiced people are but haven't realized it. Take Sasuke stans who are anti SNS. They think Kishi cannot have written a gay love story because he is Japanese and from a different generation. Like in all honesty, they were one Google search away from finding out about it. Just one simple click. Hell, I don't even step out of my house without googling the weather. And these lovely stans are so confident about saying something as ignorant as this on an international platform without even doing a simple cursory search. Male homosexuality is entrenched in Japanese culture. Accounts of homosexuality can be found in the most famous Japanese dance art form Kabuki, so much so that, it shaped Kabuki's socio cultural evolution. Here's more. And this is just one of many examples.
Seriously, that they can say something as ignorant and poorly informed is shocking. Despite having such easy access to all sorts of information. Like wow, way to out yourself as a total moron and a precious bigot. But again, people can and will go to quite an extent to enforce the narrative they build for themselves and do everything in their power to fortify it to the exclusion of everything else, including evidence and reason. Echo chambers is one of their fortifications. It's also how political propagandas work.
People in fandoms love their little cliques and groups that follow everything together. Discuss and believe everything together. They talk the same language, utter the same words, have identical takes, the more delusional one is, the more members they will have in their echo chambers. Because when inner conviction is scarce, external validation comes to their rescue and becomes crucial for them to hold on to their fallacious takes. Other factors also strengthen and validate their beliefs. The need to belong. The need to have supporters and friends. Need to be in a group. Need to conform. The need to have a safety net. Security. Who doesn't want that? How long can you believe in something that has no real foundation in itself? How long can you lie to yourself in the face of a much evident truth? You can. As long as you have others who speak the same language as you and believe in the same things as you. It's psychological. It's human. It's how social groups form. Shared interests and goals. Whether it be real life or the internet.
There are of course other fans who don't feel the need to do any of that because they are secure in their understanding. Because they know how to separate the wheat from the chaff. They are rational, experienced and prefer honesty over conformity because they value themselves. Who value knowledge over cheap and trivial self gratification.
Artists like Emi and others who are so inspired by the story can tell what the story was about because they were honest. They appreciate storytelling and just....stories. So it's not a surprise to me that they drew Naruto and Sasuke so close to their actual representation. You gotta have an honest and sensitive soul to understand their story.
Antis can slander SNS how much ever they want, but I simply feel sorry for them. Because people who actually get this story have an invaluable treasure that others don't. A sensitive and honest heart, a keen mind, an open and empathetic soul. A kind soul. Which in the long run, is much more worth than all the delusions and ignorant bliss combined.

REQUESTS UPDATES (last updated 10/7)
Hello hello all!! Going to put the progress of my requested work here in a pinned message! I work on the requested work in the order they come in!! 1. DONE AND POSTED Sasuke was always jealous of sakura for having a family and thought she never understood his loneliness or what he went through because she wasn't an orphan or from a clan etc. Then he met her family after they were married and all of them were rude to sakura or looked down on her for being a ninja and marrying a "traitor" etc. and they picked on her weight and stuff... and sasuke realised why she was the way she was when they were genin..insecure as he saw her who's usually strong shrink into the small insecure girl she was when she was a genin because of them. Mebuki does all the slandering and badmouths everything about sakura. sasuke thought sakura's dad would defend sakura or smth but he agrees with mebuki. Sakura is sad when she leaves but thinks she's wrong and selfish for not being the perfect daughter they wanted. (maybe introduce a cousin staying with sakura's parents who was also there at the meeting and mebuki talks about her as if she were her daughter...she basically replaced sakura) Combined with:
Hi i know you're busy but when you have time could you do one where sasuke sees that sakura's mother really doesn't like her (sakura) for being a ninja and all that and looks down on what she does. Everything sakura does is wrong in her mother's eyes and her weight is picked on. etc.
Sakura's mother feels that she wasted her time raising "ungrateful" sakura who fell in love with a traitor, basically ran away and got married, became a shinobi and did everything to "shame" the civilian haruno family name. She makes sakura feel like a failure.
2.
In conclusion, sasuke has been very suicidal from the beginning on and probably still sometimes has suicidal thoughts during boruto (out of regret, grief, etc.). sasuke's suicidal ideation has been implied in multiple scenes throughout the whole show, (not only the scenes i've named) which was mainly caused by his yearning for revenge on itachi, his guilt/grief from the loss of his family and the regret of his actions during his teenage years.
The above is from a blog (sweetmourninglambs) about sasuke. I was wondering if you could maybe make a sasusaku snippet based on this post? Pls if it's not much trouble?
Here's the link if you want to read the whole thing: https://www.tumblr.com/sweetmourninglambs/717956632409210880/tw-mentions-of-suicide-suicidal-ideation?source=share
3.
Sakura addicted to soldier pills in cannon after the war. they relied on them heavily during the war now she finds any excuse to take them. Oh stubbed my toe, i need 3 soldier pills. I need to heal! She's also scared that her byakugou could run out, what if this idk-how-many-yrs supply runs out, better take a few soldier pills.
Maybe it could be told from her pov and the perspectives of the ppl around her like team7 (naruto sasuke kakashi sai yamato)
4. Well I was thinking of a fic where Sasuke is hiding or sneaking around – maybe planning a surprise for Sakura? – but Sakura knows he's hiding and decides to have a little fun. So she summons a shadow clone and begins to, like, fool around with herself. She's doing it just to get a rise out of Sasuke because she knows he's hiding. 5.can u do a little snippet about sasusaku right after sasuke came back to konoha after his redemption journey, after naruto and hinata's wedding??
6.So I'm thinking about one where newlywed SS travel to another universe where Sakura is married to Naruto. It's not that the other Sakura didn't wait for Sasuke or anything but the Ssk of this universe made a wrong choice and lost Skr forever. And now he is miserable. And the og Ssk is afraid, realizing how meaningless his life might have been if Skr wasn't there with him. It'd be great if the other universe never witnessed the Uchiha massacre..

Obito brainrot?? Now we're talking
One thing that I dislike about his character arc is that he died
Not only because I like him, really, but because dying means he refused reality in some way AND got no real consequences over his actions
He went to heaven(?) with Rin, the person he loved the most in all his life, and she doesn't hate him (I still think Rin is more merciful than God) after all he had done
Isn't his character supposed to accept reality and face the fact his actions do have consequences?
*runs hand over hair* *fixes tie* *places briefcase on the counsel table*
"Obito's criminal defense attorney, presiding."
~~
*clears throat*
Hello, anon.
Before I begin talking about Obito, I want you to look at this post here because it addresses WHY Rin forgave him and never hated him in the afterlife after all he's done.
Just give it a quick read and it should provide some proper understanding in regards to Obito's character and the way she feels about him.
~~
Now then, let's talk about Obito:
Anon, we shouldn't forget that Obito was going to die either way, regardless of whether he gets to suffer consequences or not. As soon as the husk of Juubi was extracted, he was bound to die one way or another. He was going to remain paralyzed and in a permanent coma if it weren't for Naruto healing him with his newfound powers from the Sage of the Six Paths. But even with that, he was still going to die. His time was very short and he had to make the most out of it.
*picks up paper* Tackling your allegation that Obito has "refused reality in some way and got no consequences" by dying - I would like to say that this is untrue because Obito in fact, REMARKABLY LOST to the reality of the world he very much tried to destroy.
He would've escaped reality and suffered 0 consequences if his plans actually worked. But no, he ended up getting defeated.
Also, here are the following consequences that he suffered for being a criminal: -He's hated by the rest of the world, and the only people that respect and appreciate his efforts, and know of his efforts, are Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura. They're the only witnesses to his attempt in redeeming himself. Everyone else was stuck inside their eternal dreams and they failed to see Obito awaken and choose to fight alongside Naruto and save the world. They failed to see that he's the one that betrayed Madara again and saved Naruto's life.
-He lived the life of a war criminal with a costly ambition, and achieved nothing. I mean, come on, anon. Seriously, who would want to spend 20 years of their life plotting, controlling, killing, sacrificing - all for the sake of what they think is "the greater good", only to end up being played like a puppet? He was 31 years old, and he achieved nothing because he was manipulated from the start. Even if he did survive, he doesn't even get to be the Hokage. He's simply a lost cause. Isn't that a fitting end for a criminal like him?
-No legacy. Obito left nothing behind but a trail of corpses and traumatizing memories. The only ones who did get to see his good side towards the end are Team 7. But he didn't leave anything behind for the future generation to live by; all he did was play a role in saving the world by sacrificing himself to save his old friend and ensure that Naruto would be the one to carry on his lost dream.
I'd also like to note that the way he died was pretty fucked up. He didn't get to be buried. Like, he didn't even fucking die in the land he was born in the entire time - he only has his name engraved on a big stone (after Kannabi), and he died in a whole other dimension; the same dimension that Kaguya was sealed in. Seriously, even his death was just depressing - he crumbled into fucking ash. And just as he was disintegrating, Black Zetsu was literally slandering the shit out of him (I found it hard to watch because damn), and even after he crumbled, he was still getting slandered.
Sure, he wasn't getting called out by the alliance (they actually wanted him executed after he got the Juubi extracted from him), but still - imagine just getting called names right before you're about to turn into ash... like it's just so fucked up. His entire character is just so tragic and depressing.
Lastly, to address your question - he did accept reality. He told Naruto that there will be more suffering on the way. He literally lost to the real world - and his death is an acceptance of that. He too, admitted that his fucked up death is fitting for the criminal that he is.
So no anon, he did not refuse reality - he embraced it.
Thank you.
Next case!

Note
You know what, this poll was fun at first, but then with the hatred towards some characters or now specifically Kakashi, what's the point of voting? I feel like we all already know who's going to win... next time if you hate a character and on top of that you're going to block fans who really hadn't done anything annoying (just give love to their favorite) it's better not to include them. This only brings unnecessary hate and the truth is, who doesn't mind having their favorite slandered?
I feel that this poll was filled with toxic people (most of them average Sasuke fans) and that you are also helping to make the situation worse, literally there are more annoying people here than the ones you blocked, but hey, I think that someone like you who hates Kakashi is happy that this is the case..
You guys are insane just block me. How do you know who’s going to win? I still think it will be Kakashi despite what I hope. This person didn’t annoy me because they “just loved their favourite” they were genuinely constantly annoying me. I’ve complained about it over and over again to my friends and they repeatedly told me to block them. So I did. The other person had stuff on their profile that genuinely makes me really uncomfortable. You need to grow up. People on tumblr are allowed to block people. It doesn’t matter if that person runs a poll. Also other poll runners CONSTANTLY are sharing their unfiltered opinions, I don’t share that many and normally only do when prompted or straight up asked. You need to genuinely get over yourself if you can’t handle properly tagged character slander. USE YOUR FILTERS. Genuinely it is YOUR FAULT that you’re seeing that.
The toxic people certainly aren’t the Sasuke stans considering the people sending me anon hate (both replied to and deleted) have 95% been Sasuke haters and Kakashi stans. How are you calling other people toxic when you’re sending anons like this. Block me and go outside instead. You need to stop taking a tumblr blog (which is easily blockable) so seriously. Ease up.

How's believing\calling Sasuke "sasugay"\gay or shipping sns\hating any heterosexual Sasuke ship, is not offensive to Sasuke? How some pro sasuke not consider sns\any Sasuke gay ships-- fics to be bashing\insulting to Sasuke?
Are many of these ship fics laugh on Sasuke's canon decsions, character, look, etc? Yes
Are many of these ship fics put naruto (and kakashi, itachi, basically every character that antagonized sasuke at some point) in pedestal and used as tool to insult Sasuke in every aspect possible? Yes (One don't need to read fics to get what I mean, a little trip to their profiles is sufficient)
So, Who are u kidding? Why not confess and admit that being "bottom" is literally considered insulting in many fandoms( just...why the hypocrisy? many hated charcters are bottoms in fics, why people lie that gay ships aren't used as bashing/slander? And many hated characters are called twinks or any word that will turn into slurs just like how pretty boy turned into a slur) I mean, there is a reason why NH/naruto, kakashi wankers hate ss ship and like sns, and it's not for the good reason you might think it's.
Cannot you people connect the dots between Sasuke being hated in the western fandom, and him also being shipped in gay pairings?
What's the difference between A-holes saying "sasugay" and these people\shippers, anyway? Just the pro lgbt make someone entitled? Is that it? As long you are pro Lgbt\anything then you can just practice being an anti as a "joke" and it's just "fun"? (and it gets worse when one knows their standing on real life issues, as many of these people are openly zionist or one of the "it's a complicated situation" crowd, or when they're anti-asians and consider every male mangaka to be a misogynist)
And I'm not talking about the fujoshi here, to be clear, even though these people practice pedophilaia openely and I see none poiniting that out, but I should not excpect things from fandoms, the good thing here is that they're (fujoshi) in thier own spaces(most of the time), and that's a different topic, anyway
It's ridiculous how hypocrite the western(pro queer) fandom is. They talk alot about equality and sexuality, etc,  and how being feminine is not an insult, and then they just go and practice that exactly; what they accuse male incels of:- misandry&misogyny(what's up with whining whenever someone ship Sasuke with karin or ino or any girl? What's up with many clowns here getting pissed that Sasuke fit the "casanova" type, especially in east asia? I mean there's different between dislikng SS for logical reasons -being a real pro sasuke one of them-, and getting pissed that your Yaoi fantasy isn't real?), internlized racism (anyone believing Uchiha to be an incest clan and slander them for this is racist to asians), white supremacy (there's a reason why many western fandom believe naruto to be "manly" and attractive(lol), or they consider any calm-darkhaired-pale(asians) male to be "twink", and any hetersexual women to be less of a woman and insulting to women in general -becuase she's attracted to men,the bad type of men, ya know? Because being attractive to itachi, kakashi, any character but Sasuke is smart and "logical"- so they turn her into some queer hero to, somehow, redeem her -sakuino shippers for instance-)
If you're Sasuke fan(shipper or not) and don't (even at core) admit that, then you're lying to yourself or one of the weird fans who hate thier own favs.  There's a thin line that differentiate someone between being a fan and a hater.
It's ridiculous how little of the so called "Pro" Sasuke don't realize that, but there are so little genuine Sasuke fans out there, and I don't blame the people who hide thier liking to Sasuke, cuz sometimes I believe Sasuke fans aren't really his fans (just remembered a male sasuke fan saying that Sasuke has "meh" abilities\skills, and his post become a hating sasuke playground in reddit, and it's not the first kind of such posts that exists in internet)
I agree, one should be objective as possible even when it comes to one's own favs, but not in this way, not when the fandom is already split-up, not when the hystrical Sasuke haters uses anything against him (they even reached a point where they bully anyone who says they like Sasuke, and "Any girl who likes Sasuke have a bad taste" and "who even likes Sasuke lol")
Fandom discourse, in general is bad because it' all about and filled with with hate, not love. Even their love is about hating another. It's a dangerous, disgusting pendulum.

Bro Itachi is such a kind older brother even though people may not think that. HE SACRIFICED THE VILLAGE FOR HIS YOUNGER BROTHER'S SAFETY AND LET HIS YOUNGER BROTHER KILL HIM FOR PRIDE AND SATISFACTION. Meanwhile Sae and Rin have some SERIOUS shit between them (no Sae slander intended)
*cracks knuckles* here we go
i wouldnt say the itoshis have serious shit between them (imo its just childish 😭😭) it all boils down to miscommunication and misunderstandings on both parties being which sae couldve worded it better and didn’t have to lash out on rin calling him an eyesore and all while rin couldve tried to let sae finish and comprehend what sae meant about him being the no. 1 midfielder while rin being the no. 1 striker
for the uchihas on the other hand… itachi didn’t have much of a choice. i love itachi and sasuke i really do but u cant compare their brother complex like that but ik u mean well anon 😭
