leverage rewatch: s1e1 "the nigerian job"
i love that nate’s very first line is threatening to punch this guy in the throat, said while day drinking alone in a bar. really sets the stage for how broken up he is at this moment.
on the opposite end, hardisons first line is insulting the tech for this heist lol. immediately clear this team is gonna be a problem (affectionate) for nate.
eliot’s first line is said to somehow both commend and mock hardison ("you’re not as useless as you look") and that is a pretty good look into their dynamic for the whole series lol.
hardison and parker’s very first on-screen interaction is hardison being enamored with her (and eliot teasing him about it) <3
hardison telling eliot "i don’t even know what you do" is a fun little line because it starts to show how much the team actually know about each other before this heist. like, nate knows a decent amount about all of them, and they know a bit about nate. but hardison knows nothing about eliot, and eliot’s (previously mentioned) first line also implies that if he does know anything about hardison, it’s probably not much either. im gonna elaborate on this in a separate post before i get off track lol.
parker’s first *mention* comes before she’s actually on screen, when nate is looking through the files of the team he’s gonna work with and says that "parker is insane". people have pointed this out a bunch of times before but this is a really perfect first mention of her because we will spend most of her arc throughout the series showing that this isn’t really true! by season five, she’ll get to finally "respond" to that introduction of hers - "they said i was crazy, but i never was. i never was". and it’s really interesting to see nate go from being the person who calls her insane to fully trusting her with leading the team when he’s gone.
i still think about the giant sheet of glass that parker lets fall to the ground in the first heist lol. are the people on the street okay
also love the "why the f-" [cut off] line that parker gets. i think that's the closest we get to one of the main characters saying fuck?
nate calling them children in the first episode. ironic for a guy who did NOT set out to be a father figure to these weird criminals who are gonna follow him around for the next five years.
parker being the one to introduce the chess metaphor my beloved <3 shes very perceptive! and she also just knows that "crime is fun" and nate's bound to enjoy it lol.
hospital scene from the extended pilot <3 how come eliot's chained to a chair instead of a bed like the rest of them? anyway, i wish more people watched the extended pilot because in the season 1 finale when eliot shoves the hard hat on hardison's head, you should know that he's getting petty revenge for when hardison shoved eliot's head into the roof of the cop car in this scene.
nate saying there's "payback, and if it goes right, a lot of money" for eliot and "a lot of money, and if it goes right, payback" for parker, he's got their (current) motivations nailed already.
parker and hardison being like "yeah sure lets go get whatever a 'sophie' is" vs eliot asking lol. but he also evidently follows regardless. yeah thats pretty much how nate's gonna be, sorry eliot, you'll get used to this.
i find nate and sophie's first scenes so sweet. he watches her terrible acting but from his expression you'd think she was gonna win an oscar. and when she sees him in that alley, she's trying to continue being the cool and mysterious femme fatale but she's clearly so happy underneath - he came and found her! he sought her out! he's playing her side now, and that changes everything! (and one day soon she'll realise - oh shit, this changes everything. but tonight she's just over the moon). i know they're very much not the fan favourites, but u gotta admit that their interactions in the pilot... chefs kiss!!
in the next scene at hardison's apartment, (btw, rip hardison's awesome pilot apartment which we never see again), sophie is dressed down and intently listening and taking notes which is fairly unusual for her. but not out of character necessarily - when she mentors parker in grifting later, she encourages parker to take handwritten notes.
"that's an odd thing for you to know" "that's an odd place for you to be" (eliot and sophie's lines). he picks up on her suspicious knowledge and she challenges him right back. and he immediately knows to only trust sophie about as far as he can throw her.
i wish we got to see a little of sophie meeting the others! but there's no time and it would be an unnecessary scene. i like that their introduction to sophie was her awful acting though, because that will always be their first impression - not of an incredible grifter, but of a much sillier and more genuine version of sophie than we otherwise see for most of season one.
parker laughing at hardison's joke is also adorable.
no comments on the eliot + nate pool table scene, because @laser-tripwires has already written an incredible analysis of that interaction here. :) !!
actually the only thing i will mention is eliot saying that they all know about nate's kid dying - that's very important. nate wouldn't want them to know his vulnerabilities. even if they just pity him... well to him, that might be worse.
eliot saying "incoming" about sophie walking over is also really funny to me. referring to her like she's something dangerous, and he's joking but he's not wrong!
okay where did sophie get the "black king, white knight" line from? she was not there when parker said that. maybe everyone speaks in chess metaphors in the leverage Crime World.

Out in Space Tech

Summary: Instead of a date for Valentine’s Day weekend, Daisy is headed to the queer space tech conference in the city to represent Shield Co., but her anxiety isn’t for professional reasons at all: Will her crush, Carol Danvers of Stark Industries, be at the conference too? And if she shows up, does she reciprocate Daisy’s feelings?
Notes: For the @ficwip Hey Sweethearts 2025 event!
Read on Ao3
------------
Ch. 1 Friends to Sweethearts
On a night with stars made of cityscapes, Daisy’s sportscar flew down the interstate, first between suburbs, then between high rises. She turned the volume up loud to drown out her anxious heartache.
Not only was it two days before Valentine’s Day, but it was also the first night of the Out in Space Tech convention for LGBTQIA+ members of the aerospace tech industry. While the group had meetups and events year-round, the big annual convention was a can’t-miss event for the community. It mixed professional and personal in usefulness and fun—half job fair and professional conference and half geek meetup.
Two possible scenarios awaited her at the convention hotel ahead:
Scenario One, she’d run into her long-time crush and industry friend, Carol Danvers, and be perfectly normal about it. Daisy would pretend she hadn’t watched Carol’s last relationship rise and fall, from Instagram soft-launch to happy date pics to the sudden and mysterious disappearance of all couple photos to a veiled reference about singleness. Then Daisy would pretend she hadn’t been selfishly, terribly hopeful at this latest development. She’d also pretend Carol’s post about attending this convention hadn’t influenced her own decision to attend in the slightest. They’d strike up a casual conversation, probably over drinks one night, and Daisy would throw out a casual, suggestive, flirty comment to see how Carol reacted.
Scenario Two, Carol wouldn’t be able to make it, and Daisy would have a four-day weekend networking, learning, and having a great time with other queer people in the industry while bypassing Valentine’s Day completely. The only downside was missing the particular convention buddy she was hoping to reconnect with (and, if she was really lucky, much more). But it’d be okay; there was more to the convention and to her professional friendships there than a girlish crush.
In their sporadic chats, Carol was always between other activities that filled her packed schedule: checking in on how Daisy was doing or sending a witty comment while working late or in an airport for business travel or filling awkward time gaps between meetings. This week, Carol hadn’t been sure her flight out of New York—where she’d had an important meeting at Stark Industries HQ—would make it back to LA on time, and if she didn’t get out before tomorrow morning, she’d be snowed in for the weekend as a big winter storm haunted the forecast. That was the last update Daisy had heard from her the day before, along with a screenshot of the New York City weather for the week and a sad face emoji. Chances for flights to depart on time, or even at all, didn’t look good.
The convention sign-ups had included an option to split a room with a roommate, but the Shield Co. coworker Daisy had listed canceled due to unspecified “family reasons.” Daisy hoped that meant Piper’s fiancee had been able to come home for the weekend and not that Piper’s parents were causing drama about their daughter’s lesbian wedding. While understanding, of course, Daisy was a bit disappointed. She had been counting on Piper to be there for emotional support and to keep the party energy up if Daisy got too sad, whether because Carol wasn’t there or because Carol was there and wasn’t interested in reciprocating Daisy’s flirtations.
At any rate, without a default convention buddy, Daisy fully expected to be a bit lonely for a bit until she found her people for the long weekend.
All of these scenarios—some still potential and some in the rearview mirror of hypothetical—came to a resolution when Daisy reached the hotel and checked in at the special desk just for convention attendees. She confirmed she didn’t have any roommate assigned despite having two double beds in the room. On a whim, she mentioned to the man working the desk that the hotel looked full and if a Carol Danvers checked in, Daisy would be happy to share a room with her if needed. The check-in man said Carol hadn’t yet, but he appreciated the offer as they were, indeed, fully booked. No one hanging out in the lobby or the bar had seen Carol either. Daisy had a drink with her Shield Co. colleagues from branch offices around the world and headed up to her room to prepare for the next day’s full slate of convention events, from breakfast to meetings to hangouts to a dinner and evening keynote presentation sponsored by some dudebro drone company or another.
She used the second of the double beds to spread out the contents of her suitcase and evaluate outfits: what needed to be hung, what needed to be steamed or ironed, what was best for each night’s dressier events… Eventually, she gave up trying to remember which accessories she’d paired with which clothes when packing and moved on to sorting out the swag bag she’d received upon check-in, knowing there was more to come at the vendor fair throughout the convention. Some part of her wanted to put it all away before going to bed, but why? There was no one using that bed, and having it all organized and laid out would make the next morning easier. So she left the bed as it was and settled in for the night. When she was clean and cozy, she turned on her tablet to indulge in a chapter of her sapphic romance ebook before sleep.
A notification dinged on her phone with a text from Carol: “Just landed!! I put you as my roommate request. I hope it’s okay…” with another that quickly followed, “ack you haven’t responded in the last half hour so I’m guessing that’s a no. Sorry! I shouldn’t have assumed. Just got to my car. We can work it out when I get there” with another immediately popping up as fast as the second: “At the hotel now and checking in. Are you here?”
Daisy started to type back before another text could come in, but she heard a keycard beep at the door and the handle jiggle. She rushed to open it and grinned as she revealed a very nervous and sheepish Carol.
“Hi… Sorry. Did you get my texts? Wait, did I wake you up?” Carol cringed as she realized Daisy was in her PJs.
“No, I wasn’t asleep yet.” Daisy shook her head and tried to avoid laughing at Carol’s worried puppy dog eyes. She didn’t want Carol to think she was making fun of her, but her wry smile was simply delight that not only was her crush at the convention but at her door in hopes they could spend the weekend together. “The texts were all delivered just now. I guess your phone needed to connect to the hotel Wi-Fi? Come in, roommate.”
“Shit. Still on airplane mode,” Carol groaned as Daisy ushered her in and held the door open for her to roll in her small suitcase.
“When I checked in, they said I didn’t have a roommate,” Daisy explained. “So sorry your bed looks like, uh, this.” Daisy gestured dramatically to the second bed like a game-show door prize. She started to clean it off but Carol stopped her.
“Honestly, if it’s okay with you, this looks like a great idea. Organized by day and event?” Carol looked to Daisy, who nodded and understood what Carol was getting at but needed Carol to say it. “We could use one for sleeping and one for our stuff.”
Daisy couldn’t help the blush that burned at her cheeks, and she could only hope the dim light of the hotel lamp didn’t give her away. “Yeah, that’s a great idea.”
Carol left her suitcase open on the floor and came closer to Daisy. “Can I have a hug? I haven’t seen you in so long!”
“Of course,” Daisy laughed and hugged her as platonically as possible for someone she fantasized about maybe more than was okay or normal. When they pulled away, Carol turned back to unpacking, laying her clothes out on the other half of the bed-turned-outfit-planner-space.
“So,” Carol began carefully, keeping her eyes on her task, “just so we’re clear on the communication, is there anyone you’re hoping to bring back here? Because I can totally be cool, very chill, you know, just give me a code word or something to stay out of the room for a bit. I know at these things, it can be popular to find someone or hook up or whatever… Or maybe you have someone back home you want to call, I don’t know.” Carol’s rambling and very not-chill body language amused Daisy.
“No, no worries about someone else,” Daisy answered casually, and Carol met her eyes finally. “How about you?”
“No! I… you’re… I’ve got what I need.” Carol fumbled for words in a way Daisy hadn’t seen her do before. “I mean, no to both bringing back convention hookups and someone back home. Just me.”
As she spoke, Daisy moved closer to Carol, and Carol stopped unfolding and refolding the same trousers.
“Good. I like just you.” Daisy tested the waters with a light brush of her hand down Carol’s arm, and Carol relaxed.
“Okay. Good to know. Just us in here then. I’ll just, uh, get ready for bed, now that that’s settled.” Carol grabbed her things and dashed off to the bathroom, leaving a curious and captivated Daisy to climb back into bed. Where was the nonchalant, ever confident, badass, smirking Carol Danvers who Daisy knew and what did it mean that this new, hopeful, careful, perhaps even nervous, Carol wanted to share a bed with her? Daisy didn’t want to make rose-colored assumptions but if Carol really was sending the signals Daisy hoped she was, Daisy couldn’t pass up the opportunity to let Carol know the feelings were reciprocated. This presented a whole new set of scenarios to play through in her head.
Later, as they said goodnight side by side, Daisy took the liberty of squeezing Carol’s hand once and whispering, “I’m really glad you requested me. I would have for you earlier if I had known Piper wasn’t coming. Wanna be con buddies tomorrow?”
“Was hoping we would be. I’ve missed you.”
“I missed you too.”
And with that, they said goodnight for real, but having Carol in her bed didn’t make Daisy any less likely to dream about her. Just the typical dream weirdness: moving their things into an empty house that kept shifting rooms, having an argument in an apartment Daisy hadn’t lived in in years, realizing they were late for their university classes because they’d been making out…
When Daisy woke up, she sighed and prepared herself for another ordinary day in a reality that didn’t include the girl of her dreams, but then she realized she wasn’t at home. A thud across the room and a whispered “sorry!” reminded her of not only where she was but who she was with.
“Morning,” Daisy croaked out.
“I made coffee,” Carol offered. “Sorry if I woke you. I was trying to be quiet.”
“Nah.” Daisy glanced at her phone on the bedstand. “My alarm is about to go off anyway.” She dismissed it right as it began to sound, then stretched and climbed out of bed, grabbing her outfit for the day off the other bed.
When she emerged from the bathroom, she poured herself a cup of coffee and joined Carol out on the balcony at the patio tables.
Carol smiled and nodded to the blue skies and palm trees of the hotel’s lush garden courtyard. “I’ll take this over New York February any day.”
“Did you sleep well?”
Carol paused as she met Daisy’s eyes. “Yeah, actually. Really well, which is unusual for me. I almost wish we could do this every night. You’re some sort of sleep good luck charm.”
Daisy smiled. “I could say the same about you.”
Carol recounted her harrowing travel tale from the night before as Daisy drank her coffee, then wrapped up storytime when she saw Daisy’s mug was empty.
“Ready to get some breakfast?” Carol stood and Daisy followed, leaving their empty coffee cups by the coffeemaker. They grabbed their keycards and phones and shoes and headed downstairs, where, as luck would have it, only one wobbly table for two by the window was still open. Everyone else sat in large groups or with their families they’d brought with them to LA.
The day continued like that, with situation after situation pairing them as a couple until people started to assume they were together. Daisy and Carol didn’t correct them unless someone asked directly. And even then, by the end of the day, saying no didn’t feel completely right either. They weren’t just industry friends or professional connections or close colleagues. The spark between them was bright enough that everyone could see it.
In the room as they dressed up for dinner, Carol asked Daisy to help her zip up her dress in the back, and Daisy recruited Carol to curl the back of her hair, but the little touches and looks between them held too much heat to be sisterly. At one point, doing their makeup together, Carol fixed Daisy’s lipstick, and Daisy was sure Carol was going to kiss it right off. But they had a 7 p.m. dinner to get to and it was already 6:55.
They shared food, they danced on the formal ballroom dance floor, and they whispered like naughty schoolgirls when the night’s drone tech presentation “droned on” too long (pun fully intended by them both). The giggling was shamed with judgmental looks, so they snuck out the back of the room just as applause sounded and a venture capital investor was introduced.
Daisy interlaced their fingers as they rushed out, and Carol started down the otherwise empty convention hallway in the direction of the hotel bar, which even from way down here sounded like a better party, but Daisy stopped her with a squeeze of her hand.
“What if we didn’t?”
“Okay,” Carol shrugged. “As long as you’re there, I’m up for anything.”
Daisy led her around a corner, out of sight, and pressed her against the wall with a firm hand on Carol’s hip, followed by Daisy’s body against Carol’s. The kiss was simply magnetic at that point, two naturally attracted sets of lips doing exactly what they were made to do.
Daisy came back to herself and backed away to gauge Carol’s reaction, but Carol’s soft palm on her cheek pulled her back in for another round.
Carol whispered, “Fuck, I’ve been wanting to do that for so long.”
“Me too,” Daisy admitted. “Guess I will be bringing someone back to the room after all.”
She kissed up Carol’s neck until Carol sighed, “Then let’s go.”
At the end of the hallway, a door to the staff-restricted areas opened and a man called out, “Ladies, I am going to need you to take this upstairs.”
“On it, thank you,” Daisy called and backed away from Carol. They rushed to the elevators and back to their room as if they were teens who had been caught by the teacher while making out under the school bleachers.
Once their room door was locked behind them, however, undressing was an exhale of energy from girlish puppy love to very adult lust. With each item they removed, they grew quieter and more serious and reverent, until there was nothing left to do but pick up where they’d left off downstairs with Carol pressed against the wall, this time clothed only with Daisy’s bare body.
“I forgot,” Carol began, breathing heavily from their tongues’ enthusiastic first dance. “I forgot to tell you I’m back here for good, but at the office out by you this time. Transfer approved while I was in New York as part of the negotiations with corporate.”
“What?” Daisy tried to concentrate as Carol’s hand settled on her ass. “Are you talking about work right now?”
“No, I mean, sort of, yes.” Carol leaned her forehead against Daisy’s. “I’m trying to say, this doesn’t have to be a one-night thing if you don’t want it to be.”
Daisy’s body relaxed from tension she didn’t know she’d been holding. She wanted Carol tonight, of course she did, but the dread of it ending so fast was already tensing her muscles, bracing her emotions for the inevitable crash of goodbye.
“Wait, really? You’re moving not just to my city, but to the Stark Industries office building a mile away from my Shield Co. office?”
“Mmhm.” Carol squeezed Daisy’s ass with one hand while teasing up and down her side with the other. “I’d appreciate any apartment-hunting help, if you wanted to come along.”
“Yeah, sure. Can I ask why you’re telling me this right now specifically?” Daisy struggled to think as Carol’s thumb moved from her breast to her side to her hip and inward to the juncture of her thigh and center.
Carol’s answer was low and sultry with a hint of pride. “Because I noticed you backed me against the wall again and we haven’t made it to the bed in …” she glanced at the bedside clock across the room, “a full 8 minutes since we’ve been back in the room. Thought there might be something holding you back.”
Daisy blinked. “Oh. How did you figure it out?”
“Because I want to be with you too,” Carol said between kisses to Daisy’s jaw and neck. “Not just as a con hookup but for real.”
“Mmmm, here I was thinking I’d be lucky if you were my Valentine’s sweetheart for the weekend.” Daisy stepped back and beckoned Carol to follow her to the bed.
Carol shrugged. “Valentine’s is easy. I’ll be your everyday sweetheart if you want me.”
Daisy lay back, ready and wanton and needy. “Oh, I’ve been wanting you a long time, sweetheart.”
“Finally.” Carol covered Daisy in kisses down to her wet core, sucking and licking and learning what made Daisy mewl and moan and arch her back as pleasure flooded over her. They tried to be quiet, conscious of the hotel guests in the rooms around them, but the challenge only made it hotter, more elicit, than if they’d been at one or the other’s homes.
Daisy’s fingerfucking skills did provoke a loud moan of pleasure from Carol as she came, but it was muffled by the ruckus in the hallway as another group got back from partying and had had too much to drink to bother with their own noise levels.
“Fuck,” Carol giggled as she pulsed around Daisy’s fingers.
“Wait, shhh,” Daisy whispered back and stilled her hand. They waited with eyes sparkling and mouths open in anticipatory amusement for confirmation the group outside had heard them.
A gay man’s voice said too loudly, “Guyyyys, I think there’s someone having sex on this hall.”
“You always think that, you horny bitch,” another called back.
“Y’all.” A deeper male voice interrupted the banter. “It’s a queer nerd conference; obviously, there’s a lot of people fucking here. Just get in the room before they call the front desk on us.”
As the hallway quieted, Daisy realized her fingers were still inside Carol. She flexed them to see Carol’s response.
“I appreciate it, but the mood is gone,” Carol laughed.
“Yep.” Daisy climbed off and went to clean up, calling back, “One each isn’t bad for our first time, though!”
Carol joined her in the bathroom to clean up. “Uh, ‘not bad’ is the understatement of the century. For me, at least, that was the hottest sex I’ve had in years, and I was in a six-month-long relationship last year. Which probably explains a lot about why that crashed and burned.”
“Okay, first, thank you for the compliment in there, and second, I agree on hotness. Your tongue has some impressive skills. Third, to the relationship comment: Wow, yikes, that bad, huh? That can’t be the only reason though.” Daisy met Carol’s eyes in the mirror before taking off her makeup with a remover cloth.
Carol sighed. “It’s not that the sex was that bad; it was that we were never on the same page, or even in the same city, to have it. Or to have anything else resembling a relationship. She even got the cat in the breakup because it only came when she called it. So, that’s why I didn’t want to start anything with you until I was sure it wouldn’t be long-distance. Short-distance is my style.”
“Mmm, I can relate to that. Preferably very short distance.” She bumped Carol’s bare hip with hers. “I’ve had some flings, but even over weeks with someone else, no one ever got me like you do in the few days when we’re in the same place.”
Carol turned to face Daisy with a serious, almost worried expression. “I know this is fast, but what if there was no one else? We can be girlfriends, partners, whatever you want to call it.”
“Ooo. ‘This is my girlfriend, Carol.’ I like it. ‘My partner not just in crime but also in life.’”
Carol laughed and added in a faux reprimand, “Now, sweetheart, don’t give away our villainous plans to take over the world.”
“I mean, we could though. Between your astrosuits and my apps for them, we’d defeat any superhero who tried to stop us,” Daisy joked. She pecked a kiss to Carol’s cheek and disappeared around the corner into the bedroom. She found her sleep shirt and shorts and clean underwear, and returned to brush her teeth next to Carol, who had already started. Carol finished her routine and stepped out so Daisy could shower in private, then they switched places, with Carol in the shower while Daisy lounged on the bed scrolling through her phone. She deleted the few dating apps she had downloaded.
“Tomorrow we need to get some photos together,” she called to Carol as the latter emerged from the steamy bathroom in a long vintage Nine Inch Nails shirt and red boxer brief shorts.
“Yes! How did we not get some tonight? We looked so good.” She slid into bed next to Daisy.
“We got a bit distracted,” Daisy teased. “Juuust a little bit.” She pecked a kiss to Carol’s forehead, then cheek, then lips.
“Mmm, I like this part, going to bed together like an ol’ married couple.”
“Me too.” Daisy felt like she might light up the whole city with her glowing happiness.
“I can’t wait for you to see my demo tomorrow.” Carol yawned and Daisy took it as a sign that it was time to turn out the light. “It’s so cool. The old Stark astronaut suits won’t know what hit them.”
Daisy cuddled up next to Carol and simply said goodnight. They weren’t direct competitors, with Daisy and Shield Co. primarily focused on building the software that Stark Industries used in their hardware, but she also knew that business partnership would lead to more scrutiny of their relationship, not less. Of course, she knew something Carol didn’t: she and Carol weren’t the only ones about to announce a merger… After that, everything would be above board. Plus, they weren’t the only employees of different companies who had crossed the divide from professional partnership into a personal one. As the guys in the hall had pointed out, they probably weren’t even the only ones on this hotel floor.
Yes, Daisy thought to herself as she fell asleep, of all the professional conference sex being had tonight, theirs was possibly the least concern for either of their companies. And with Carol’s new office a mile away from Daisy’s office (and if Daisy had her way, Carol’s apartment in the same complex as Daisy’s apartment), it didn’t matter what anyone else thought. The space tech industry had more than enough room for another power couple—galaxies and galaxies worth of space, Daisy smiled into the pillow at her own pun. Like the universe itself, the capacity for love was ever-expanding… Daisy thought that she should write that down in case she needed it later, but she was already half-asleep, and in the morning, the last thing she recalled from the night before was falling asleep in Carol’s arms.
-----------------
Ch. 2: Merging
Carol prepared for her demonstration backstage, checking the astrosuit’s systems and reading over her notes.
“So, I hear Stark Industries and Shield Co. are getting cozy.” A handsome, young, Asian American man nearby struck up a conversation. Carol looked up to see he was, as she feared, talking to her, but there was no sneer or suggestiveness in his expression, just curiosity.
“Yeah, we’ve been working together for a long time. Always high quality stuff.” Carol kept her answer as basic as possible without brushing him off.
“I’m Shaun, director of defense systems at Ta Lo Inc.,” he introduced.
“Can I help you, Shaun?” Carol asked as politely as she could manage, still trying to determine if this was a friendly chat or a passive aggressive hint at her new relationship.
“Just wanted to see if there was any truth to it.” He shrugged. “My partner, Katie Chen, and I have been trying to get a meeting with Shield Co. for ages, but if there’s a merger with Stark, let’s just say we’d rather be eaten than starve, you know what I mean?”
“I honestly don’t.” Carol diverted her attention to futzing with her astrosuit. “Wait, sorry, did you say merger?”
“That’s what I was hoping you’d tell me.” Shaun stuck his hands in his jean pockets and Carol could tell he was used to being a hit with the ladies, gentlemen, and everyone else in his path. “Stark’s offered to buy us before, but said we didn’t have the software to offer what I think we’re worth. If Daisy Johnson and her team are in the picture already, maybe Stark won’t mind our specialization so much.”
“Where did you hear that about the merger?” Carol tried to play it cool, not confirming or denying, but her stiffened spine gave her ignorance away.
“Hey, it’s just a rumor,” he said as he backed off. “I probably overheard some Shield people talking about it at breakfast or at the bar last night or something. I don’t know. You know how these conventions are!” He tried to laugh to lighten the mood, but Carol didn’t reciprocate.
In fact, Carol’s stare was practically beaming lasers of annoyance at him, so it was no wonder that he ran off as Carol’s name was announced from the stage. The emcee read Carol’s introduction, giving Carol a minute to collect herself and secure her astrosuit to its display. She set her shoulder back and walked out confidently into the lights. No rumors or potential leaks of information that her new girlfriend may or may not have withheld would keep her from nailing this presentation.
She thanked her lucky stars that she’d practiced her notes until she knew them by heart. Right on cue as the astrosuit concluded its preprogrammed set of tricks and the crowd oooed and ahhhed, her finale promotional music kicked in.
“Because that’s what we do at Stark Industries,” Tony Stark’s voiceover said through the room’s speaker system. “We make the future possible today.”
The audience thundered their applause, surprising Carol into a frozen, awkward, but grateful shock. The emcee returned and shook Carol’s hand, then guided her off the stage. Once backstage, she realized she’d been holding her breath and exhaled and inhaled in a gasp.
Daisy rushed to greet her and help her put away the astrosuit in its secure case. “You were amazing! That was way beyond even what I knew it could do. Imagine what we would be able to do collaborating on—”
Carol stopped her. “You know, don’t you?”
Daisy frowned. “Know what?”
“The merger. Or potential merger. All of you knew and didn’t tell us. Me.”
Daisy’s eyes widened. “Uh, where did you hear that?”
Carol’s unimpressed face led Daisy to self-correct.
“Sorry! I couldn’t tell you! I’m not even supposed to know. I don’t even know if it’s going to happen, and it could take months…”
Daisy trailed off as she saw Carol’s hurt.
“I get it,” Carol sighed. “Confidentiality, corporate secrets, it’s a really dangerous game in our industry.”
Daisy placed her hands on Carols forearms to ground her in the logic of what she was saying. “Yeah. It is. I would have told you if I could. I wasn’t even sure there was anything to tell. But if something went wrong, I couldn’t put you at risk. But if it does happen, we won’t have to worry about trade secrets anymore because we’d be on the same team.”
“That does sound good. I wish I would have heard it from you first, though.”
An Asian American young woman in a tracksuit, chomping on a bag of potato chips, passed by. “Everyone knows anyway. It’s a queer tech nerd fest. Like anyone can keep anything a secret here.”
She turned over her shoulder to send them a pointed look and then left with a potato-chip-crusted two-finger peace sign.
“Do you know her?” Daisy asked.
Carol sighed. “I’m guessing that’s Katie Chen. She and her partner at Ta Lo are trying to join in the merger party. And honestly, it doesn’t sound like a bad idea adding a defense systems team. They need you for software, though.”
“Me, huh?”
“Even mentioned you by name.” Carol raised her eyebrows. “To me, specifically.”
Daisy laughed. “Okay so yes, that comment about keeping secrets here meant what I thought it did.”
“As if we weren’t obvious enough already,” Carol scoffed as she wheeled the astrosuit case back to the loading dock where a Stark Industries truck was waiting to check it back in to their inventory.
Daisy watched the inventory process and took Carol’s hand as they turned to leave, free of their responsibilities for the rest of the afternoon and evening. “I just want to make sure everyone knows you’re taken before the big Valentine’s Day party.”
“And that you’re spoken for too.” Carol squeezed Daisy’s hand as they approached the lobby full of convention attendees.
“Don’t worry, they know.” Daisy nodded to where other Shield Co. employees were smiling at them with happy hour drinks in hand.
“Want to introduce me to the team?”
Daisy thrilled at the opportunity to introduce Carol as her girlfriend to her coworkers. “Yes! C’mon. You’re going to love them.”
—---------------------------------------
The third and fourth days of the conference only further solidified Carol and Daisy’s undeniable coupledom. They were falling hard and fast in love and the thought of Carol driving home in one direction and Daisy in another was too much to bear until it was time. They waited until everyone else had gone home, claiming it was to avoid traffic, but it was really because they just wanted more time alone together.
“What if I drive out to see you next weekend?” Carol offered as they lingered in the lobby with their luggage.
“I already know which apartment I’m going to take you to see first.” Daisy winked.
Carol took a moment to decipher the wink, trying to recall a specific location Daisy had mentioned might have vacancies before she caught on to Daisy’s teasing expression. “Oh! Yours?”
Daisy laughed. “Yeah, both for serious reasons, because I want you to live close by, and also for… other reasons.”
Carol teased her back with a fake pout. “Is it because you’ll be lonely there all by yourself now that you’re used to rooming with me?”
Daisy couldn’t resist pulling her in for a quick kiss. “Maybe so.”
“It’s a date,” Carol promised. “Text me when you get home?”
Daisy nodded, reveling in Carol’s concern and love. ‘You too?”
“I will.”
—-----
Their texts that evening turned into an accidental video call, which they stayed on for hours. The week seemed to drag on for them both until Carol could come visit. When she did, she stayed with Daisy overnight and agreed that this apartment complex, and Daisy’s specific apartment in particular, was a very good fit for her. As their companies worked out the details of their merger and partnership, Daisy and Carol worked out the details of their own, and by the time Carol’s lease was up on the other side of LA, it just made more sense for them to move in together. Perhaps too fast, perhaps a trope or stereotype, but they didn’t care. They went together like space and technology, like hardware and software, like nerdy sapphics and besotted sweethearts. It was a love story they would tell at the Out in Space Tech convention for decades to come.

BY THE BOOK : MIDORIYA IZUKU X READER
SUMMARY: When your pro hero boyfriend comes home to find you studying, he suddenly takes a great interest in helping out. You find his methods... questionable. TAGS/WARNINGS: nsft, hysterical literature (reading out loud while sexually stimulated), pro hero deku, deku still has ofa, support tech grad student reader, slight intelligence kink, gn + afab reader, cunnilingus, established relationship, aged up characters, fluff (3k) NOTES: Hi guys! I have been in survival mode as of late and the writing has been slow going; my sincerest apologies for how long it’s taking me to burn down my @ficsforgaza backlog. But I finally had the time & energy on my hands this weekend to work on this one and I had such a blast!! I hope I’m not too rusty—and if I am, I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved writing it regardless lol. Love you and thank you always for your patience. Happy Holidays!!
Sometimes, you thought you could tell your boyfriend was near, even before you heard his key in the lock.
It was something to do with his power, you’d always suspected—as a support engineer unduly interested in other people’s capabilities, you’d spent hundreds of hours turning it over in your head. It was the unnatural immensity of other people’s powers, you thought, pulling and coiling just beneath the surface of Izuku’s skin. In close proximity, after prolonged use, its presence felt like a shiver up the back of your neck.
You felt the barest hint of it now, an unsettled feeling creeping into the marrow of your bones, and you sat up on the couch just as you heard the scratch of Izuku’s keys at the door.
One For All fit cleanly into Izuku’s own unwavering intensity somehow, like the last piece of his puzzle. Though one would certainly never think so looking at him as he spilled through the door, pink-cheeked from the cold, all bright eyes, sweetly angelic features, and a riot of wild green curls. He looked windswept from the biting winter breeze. He also looked too kind to be carrying the sort of power he did—too sweet and eager and lovely.
“Look what the wind blew in,” you grinned at him over the back of the couch, after assessing he was well. Your eyes tracked the sinuous movement of those broad shoulders as he yanked his mouthguard over his head, the flex and pull of his bicep as he hung it beside the door. He was moving without pause, no sign of injury or muscle strain , and his suit was intact. Ordinarily you didn’t mind if there was a bit of shredding about the abs as long as he came back to you whole and hale, but in the winter you didn’t like him wandering about risking the chance of frostbite.
Your heart fluttered when Izuku returned your smile with one of his own, so beautiful and bright, chasing away the cold he’d tracked in like a warm sliver of sun.
“Lots of small, easy fights today?” You guessed, judging from his intact suit but clear whiff of power about him.
Izuku scrubbed a hand through that riot of curls, exposing the reddened shell of a cold ear. “I only had to use blackwhip a couple of times,” he said as he shouldered the door closed behind him, the muscle of his thighs flexing enticingly as he stepped out of his boots.
You gestured at the pot of soup you’d left warming on the stove, and the veritable pile of crusty bread beside it. Warmth and carbs, exactly what you would have wanted if you were a pro hero fresh off a long day of patrolling in the snow.
Izuku’s eyes fixed on it with an obliging amount of interest, and he almost tripped over himself in the genkan in his haste to get to the kitchen. “I love you,” you heard him say, muffled through a mouthful of bread, heard the clatter of the silverware drawer and a bowl being placed on the counter.
You smiled and turned back to the book in your lap, a particularly dry, knotty text on robotic imitation learning that had had your eyes drifting closed for the better part of an hour. It was the last you’d need to get through for your Wearable Technologies graduate course, and something you were deeply interested in incorporating into your design practice. You could train a piece of equipment on how an individual pro hero moved and deployed their quirk, and use predictive modeling to deploy assistance functionalities within milliseconds if you got it right—such as immediate cooling in pro hero Shouto’s temperature vest the moment he ignited an arm.
The implementation was going to be so cool—but the theory was so mind numbing.
You felt the couch sink in beside your feet, and Izuku peered interestedly at the title in your lap.
“Introduction to Robotic Imitation Learning,” he echoed, and you could hear the note of excitement in his voice. You suppressed a fond smile, knowing he was already thinking through the same applications you had—he was just as much of a nerd as you were.
“Introduction to Snoozing and Napping,” you grumbled, turning back to your page. “There are only so many words on the Kalman filter framework a brain can handle before the human mind shuts itself down.”
Izuku hummed in interest around a spoonful of soup, propping himself up against your leg. The exterior of his suit was still cool from the outside, and he groaned with relief from the warmth of your skin, even as you hissed at the chill.
You knew he wanted you to go on, so you generalized for him. “It’s an algorithm used for robotic motion planning—you not only take measurements of the thing you want to model but you account for uncertainties to predict the probability that something is going to happen.”
Izuku nodded, taking another spoonful of soup, gesturing for you to go on.
You summoned up the willpower to explain joint probability distribution, pleased when Izuku easily managed to follow—he’d always been a quick study, especially of anything that could be employed in the service of heroics. You’d long thought if he hadn’t been gifted his quirk, he would be an insane support engineer.
He managed to finish his entire bowl of soup in the time it took you to explain, and housed another two slices of buttered bread with the sort of alacrity you’d only ever seen in pro heroes and professional athletes, making you smile while you spoke.
His spoon clinked softly against the edge of the bowl as he set them aside on the coffee table, and he hooked his chin over your knees as you finished explaining. In the setting sun from your windows he looked especially lovely, the kind, angular planes of his face brushed in gold, softening the spots of his freckles.
His eyes were especially bright, the way they always were when something in particular had caught his interest, and he smiled at you again over the tops of your knee caps.
“I admire how smart you are,” he told you, in the simple, straightforward way he always gave out compliments. It was like a shot to the heart every time, and you could feel your face warm with the praise even after years of receiving similar compliments.
You reflexively flapped a dismissive hand. “Not smart enough to have internalized it all! I have mostly been falling asleep to it,” you promised him.
He tilted his head, a green curl falling into his eyes. “I know you won’t have a problem when you’re awake.”
You shifted your legs with embarrassment, and a long fingered hand came up to cup the front of your thigh, as Izuku turned more fully towards you. You could feel the warm, hard planes of his chest against your shins, the line of his jumpsuit’s zipper pressing insistently just below your knee.
“Gotta try to impress you somehow,” you joked, your skin prickling as Izuku’s fingers absent-mindedly drew a pattern across your thigh. You could feel the heat of his hand through the thin material of the leggings you’d lounged around in all day, the chill finally chased away from his skin now that he’d come inside and warmed up.
“You do impress me,” he said in his soft, gentle tone. Which made your cheeks and nose burn hotter.
You knew you did, and the steady faith Izuku had in the people around him was one of your favorite things about him. It still made you feel like a middle schooler with a crush to think about, though, the intensity of your feelings too much for one body to handle.
“I will study hard to live up to your faith in me,” you promised, unable to help the goofy smile you knew you were giving him.
Izuku’s chin shifted against the tops of your knees, and he pressed his mouth to the knob of your left one, leaving a smiling kiss. “Tell me more?” he asked, fingers still sliding softly over your thigh.
“I’ll read it to you as I go, then,” you said, turning back to the brick of a tome, propping it up more firmly on your stomach as you adjusted yourself against the couch arm. Izuku’s eyes watched you over the top of the pages, that emerald gaze tracking your face closely.
“‘The algorithm works via a two-phase process: a prediction phase and an update phase’,” you began, trying to turn your attention away from Izuku and back to the text. “‘In the prediction phase, the Kalman filter produces estimates of the current state variables, including their uncertainties. Once the outcome of the next measurement (necessarily corrupted with some error, including random noise) is observed, these estimates are updated using a weighted average, with more weight given to estimates with greater certainty.’”
Izuku’s long fingers traced firmer lines across your thighs, almost like he was taking notes. He layered another kiss along the line of your knee, eyes glittering at you as you read.
“‘The algorithm is recursive,’” you continued, “‘It can operate in real time, using only the present input measurements and the state calculated previously and its uncertainty matrix; no additional past information is required.’”
You almost jumped as Izuku’s mouth trailed lower, into the space between your knees, leaving kisses along your inner thigh. His fingers gently pulled one thigh away to make space for him in between, and you cleared your throat, trying to return to the text at hand.
“‘Optimality of Kalman filtering assumes that errors have a normal–that is, Gaussian–distribution,’” you read on. “‘The following assumptions are made about random processes: Physical random phenomena may be thought of as due to primary random sources exciting dynamic systems. The primary sources are assumed to be independent gaussian random processes with zero mean; the dynamic systems will be linear.’”
Izuku let out a soft breath, insinuating himself further between your thighs. Your own breath came out a little uneven as he bent over you, mouth tracking dangerously towards the inseam of your leggings.
You paused, but Izuku fixed you with a look of his slightly-darkened eyes. “Please—keep reading,” he said, his tone a little lower than it had been a minute ago.
You swallowed in shocked understanding, skin tingling. You felt yourself nod, as Izuku’s fingers strayed to the waist of your pants, dipping below the band.
You let him slowly peel your leggings down, your underwear with them, adjusting as needed to make it easy for him, even as you tried to return your attention to your textbook.
“‘Regardless of Gaussianity, however, if the process and measurement covariances are known, then the Kalman filter is the best possible linear estimator in the minimum mean-square-error sense,’” you quoted, nearly squeaking when Izuku pressed his mouth to your hip, his curls tickling the skin of your belly. His hands gripped either side of your thighs, palms square and rough against your skin, and you tried not to shiver with the feeling.
“Um—‘Although there may be better nonlinear estimators’,” you said, then nearly jumped out of your skin when Izuku pressed his mouth to the core of you, only the strength of his grip stopping you from accidentally kicking him in surprise.
“Oh my g—uh! It—um—‘It is a common misconception perpetuated in the literature that the Kalman filter cannot be rigorously applied unless all noise processes are assumed to be Gaussian,’” you managed, before your cut off into a groan as Izuku layered a hot, sweet kiss over you, tongue dipping carefully between your folds. “Ah-–Izuku—”
Izuku petted a thumb gently over the top of your thigh to show he was listening, even as he swiped his tongue over you again, a long, firm stroke that had your thighs flexing in his hold. He laved over your clit, sucking ever so slightly, and your grip almost tore the edge of your textbooks as it tightened.
“Keep going,” he urged briefly, then did it again, punching a groan out of you.
“Extensions—oh—‘Extensions and generalizations of the method have also been developed, such as the extended Kalman filter and the unscented Kalman filter which work on nonlinear systems,’” you read on, voice shooting up nearly into a squeal when two of Izuku’s long, firm fingers pressed into you, as his mouth moved over you again.
“Ah! Oh my god—the—um, the basis—-” you said, breath growing short. Izuku’s fingers unerringly found the spot inside you that made you twist in his grip with the ease of long practice, and his jaw worked as he kissed you so shockingly filthily. You could feel something already starting to build up behind your navel, a fluttery lightness, an insatiable insistence on more.
“‘The basis a hidden Markov model—oh, fuck—such that the state space of the latent variables is continuous and all latent and observed variables have–ah!--Gaussian distributions,’’’ you recited, your voice tripping up further into a register that sounded more like begging than reading.
Izuku’s fingers worked you, long and thick and perfect inside you, as his tongue drew unrelenting circles around your clit. Stars seemed to spark in your vision, and your eyes squeezed shut, losing your place on the page as your hips flexed into his face. You felt suddenly very floaty and lightheaded, and not at all in a position to keep going.
Still, you tried to refocus your attention.
“‘K–Kalman filtering has been used successfully in—oh—multi-sensor fusion—ah, ah!--and distributed sensor networks–fuck, please, Izuku—to develop distributed or consensus Kalman f-filtering,’” you said, your tone nearly a cry.
Izuku groaned softly, sucking gently as his fingers curled inside you. It made your veins spark under your skin, your legs shaking in Izuku’s hands. You abandoned your grip on your book to seize the arm of the couch, clawing desperately at the fabric.
“Please, Izuku,” you cried, hips bucking towards his mouth.
The book tumbled off your stomach but you hardly noticed, gaze refocusing on the way his eyelashes fluttered as he licked you. His fingers played gently within you, a maddening press that was simultaneously too much and not enough, and his other hand came up to slide under your sweater, plucking gently at your nipple.
You lost yourself to the feeling—caught between the mind-melting curl of his fingers, the delicate suction of his mouth, and the careful pinch of your nipple. A delicious heat curled through you, waves of unbearable pleasure, and you could hear yourself babbling nonsense—garbled syllables of Izuku’s name, and every entreaty you could think of, a hundred thousands mores and oh pleases.
Izuku abandoned your nipple to pull you more firmly against him with a strong arm curled under your thigh, pressing you even harder into his mouth.
You muffled a scream in the sleeve of your sweater as he sucked you harder, tongue laving over you in loving strokes. Only his terrible strength held you down as you writhed beneath him, and then his fingers twisted in a way that had your vision whiting out—and you were suddenly thrown out over the edge of your pleasure.
Izuku licked you through it as you squirmed and begged and cried out his name, your climax seeming to last for eons.
You were panting hard when you finally slumped into the cushions of your couch, the ceiling seeming to swim in and out of focus before your eyes. When you gained enough control of your body again you looked down at Izuku, finding him watching you with a satisfied, almost shy curl to his mouth.
“You’re beautiful,” he told you, emerald gaze glittering with sincerity. “You’re so smart.”
Impossibly you felt your heart swell with even more love for him, and you seized his shoulder, dragging him up over you so you could kiss his mouth. The taste of yourself on him was embarrassing yet thrilling, and you petted a pleased hand through Izuku’s wild mess of curls as you kissed him.
“Well you are amazing,” you told him, swiping a thumb over his cheek fondly, smoothing over his freckles. A gorgeous watercolor of pink washed over his cheeks and nose at the proclamation, and you could hear his fingers flex in the cushion beside your head.
The sight of him flushed and waiting over you like another small something inside of you, like a pilot light, and you let your mouth pull into a wry grin.
“I hope you know I learned nothing though,” you said casually, your plan for your next steps already forming in your head. You let a hand trail carefully down Izuku’s flank, tracking towards his waist. “I think maybe I might need a few rounds for it to really sink in.”
Izuku’s ears went red against the green of his hair, and you felt your smile widen. “Maybe you could read it to me this time?” you asked, guiding him to roll under you, retrieving your book from the floor as you did so.
You settled yourself on the tops of Izuku’s thighs, feeling the hard press of him against your core, as you placed your textbook into his waiting hands.
Izuku’s answering smile was all the permission you needed. You directed him to start from the beginning of the chapter, and he did so in that soft, lilting tone of his you so loved. And then your fingers trailed up to the zipper at his collar.
It was time to return the favor—wholeheartedly.

hi hi~ i have a silly request if you're interested (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) can i request the lads men's (pre-relationship) reaction to the reader introducing them to their boyfriend? but plot twist... its a fictional virtual boyfriend! just like the game love and deepspace LOL who would get jealous? who would have beef with a fictional man?? /JK
PS: im not sure how to say this properly but u like, write them so attractively 😵 if that makes sense, like the little quirks u give them and the dialogue, whoo weeeee 100/10!
This made me laugh because I still remember introducing my bf to my Obey Me boyfriends and kept trying to figure out which one was the most like him so he could buy me merch of them and push his personal agenda. Sadly none of them are like him, but now that I play LDS, Rafayel sure is! Thank you for the request! I had fun with this one! (And oh my gosh, that's such a compliment!! Thank you so so much, it means a lot!!)
Pre-relationship LaDS men react to your fictional game partner
Rafayel -
Who would have beef with a fictional man?
Rafayel would have beef with a fictional man.
He did not wait centuries for you, searching high and low for his lost love in every dark alley and bad idea that came across him- to lose to a bunch of pixels on a tech screen.
Truthfully, he knows it's all in good fun, and he's not completely jealous. He's actually pretty glad you found a nice outlet that helps you with relieving stress from you day to day. He knows you need it.
He's just... going to be now competing secretly with a fictional figure.
He thinks its secret.
You know what he's doing.
Why else would he be asking you what the latest event is in your game with your fictional partner, and then miraculously a week later you're receiving the very same things or experiences in reality on your day off?
He's not slick at all, and honestly, you find it pretty endearing.
But also, something you won't ever consider- is maybe he's doing those things for you, not only to make you happy, but to show you just how much attention he pays to the things you tell him about.
That's okay.
You don't need to know that part.
Zayne -
Zayne is not at all threatened by whoever this 'Jumim Hen' guy is.
Yes he is mispronouncing it on purpose. No he will not correct himself until he's gotten enough humor out of it and frustrated you enough about it.
Once that happens, he'll start pronouncing it correctly and if confronted about his change in pronunciation, he will pretend you need a wellness check and request you make an appointment with his secretary.
Smooth way to spend more time with you while subtlety calling you crazy.
He mostly does just think it's cute, though.
He will buy you food from places that might be having game events that get you special merchandise or in-game prizes, even if you don't realize there's a surprise event happening because it wasn't advertised in your game.
No, he's not weird and expects you to stop playing once the two of you start dating. He realizes it's something you enjoy a lot, and he actually finds a lot of pleasure in listening to you ramble about situations that are happening in your game.
He finds most things you do endearing.
Sylus -
You're giggling over it, that's all the matters to him.
He is rubbing the bridge of his nose though, because you had been building up to this moment for over a week and he was convinced you were going to show him an actual psychopath or something and he was going to have to figure out a way to make the man disappear without you realizing it was Sylus's doing.
He probably won't make any vague comments about how your fictional boyfriend is strangely similar to himself and that maybe you have a type.
Probably.
(He will make one per day.)
(At least.)
Once you're dating him, he has some access to your device and the game, simply so that he can reload your currency whenever you go to sleep. He doesn't want you to run out, and he knows you love playing. What else is his money good for if not for making you smile?
Doesn't understand it, but he does make mental notes of your current progress in the storyline and which characters you like. But sometimes he'll pretend to forget an important detail.
He loves hearing you babble about anything, after all.
Xavier -
He was a bit confused at first, but figured out what was going on rather quickly.
He thinks it's adorable, like when he first found out how much you love claw machines and the plushies inside of them. He doesn't see it as much different- the love interests are your plushies in the game, and your fictional partner is your favorite "plushie".
Easy.
Xavier has lowkey cosplayed your game boyfriend at least once, acting innocent about it and as if it was completely unintentional.
If you're dating by then, he lets you 'borrow' the clothes, so now you have an article from your game, but it also smells like he does. He's only allowed them back once they lose their scent.
He only accepts gratitude and payment for the favor of wearing them again in the form of snuggling with him on the couch, his arms wrapped up around you as he nuzzles into your neck.
He needs your "help" for a little bit.
It's the least you can do.

Pairing: Han Jisung x Reader
Word Count: 14.8k
Summary: After training for years, you finally become a full fledged agent for KDOI, the Korean Division of Intelligence. Over time, each and every agent becomes something like a family member, including the high-tech nerd who has managed to put a smile on your face since day one. What happens when he's sent with you on his first field mission?
Warnings: Violence, smut (18+) MDNI
A/N: Kinktober is a state of mind. I know its January idc lol I will finish the list of prompts even if it kills me
---------------------------------------
Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.
The sound your sneakers make on the treadmill reverberates through the gym. The expensive, high tech plastic mask strapped to your face fogs up with each exhale and clears with each inhale.
To your right, a man holds a clipboard, glasses covered eyes watching your vitals displayed on the monitor hooked up to the mask and other various wires clipped to your body.
You’ve been running for about an hour straight, but your breathing is still even; and just by glancing down at the screen, your heart rate looks the same.
For months, you’ve been training with the federal agency to be one of their field agents. Countless nights were spent pushing yourself to the limit, physically and mentally.
Today was your final evaluation before becoming a full-fledged agent. You were selected out of the hundreds of trainees to test to move on.
It was a great honor, all your hard work was finally paying off.
Maybe you’ll get your first mission after this!
If you pass.
A small bead of sweat drops down the side of your face.
Bored, your eyes wander over to the man studying your every heartbeat.
The thick rimmed glasses that sat on his face have slid down his nose a bit. His lips seem to sit in a constant pout thanks to those pudgy cheeks of his.
Choppy, fluffy brown hair sits on his head like a mop. You can tell he’s run his fingers through it more than a handful of times to get it out of his eyes.
A crisp white lab coat rests over a hoodie and khaki pants. A few different pens and instruments sit in the pocket under an embroidered ‘J’ .
You’ve seen him around the trainees once or twice in the years you’ve been here. From what you’ve gathered, he was one of the technical experts, providing countless gadgets and gizmos for the field agents to use.
The guy that would give the secret agent a lipstick taser before embarking on their world class espionage mission.
He’s pretty and smart— what a lethal combination.
When the man looks back up at the treadmill, your eyes flick back to dead ahead of you.
Reaching forward, he hits the stop button on the treadmill and jots down a few notes on his clipboard, a tiny smile pulls at his handsome face.
The treadmill comes to a gradual stop and so do your legs. One hour exactly sits on the clock.
Nervously, you look down at the screens, to his monitor, looking at anything you can.
“You did extremely well, 586.” There’s a happy tilt to his tone while he scribbles down some more notes, flipping the page, then writing some more. “You can take the mask off now.”
Nodding, you gently take the mask off your face and drape it over the top of the treadmill.
“I have one more examination for you.” He clicks a few buttons on the computer to the side.
Patiently, you stand there waiting for instruction.
He looks up at you with amusement glinting in his big, brown eyes. “You don’t need to be so stiff with me, 586, that’s not part of the tests.”
Your shoulders relax and sag forward a bit. “Sorry, I’m just a bit nervous.”
“Understandable.” He grabs a hold of the cart with the machines on it and rolls it to the side. “Most, if not all, trainees are during their examination. I can’t remember a trainee that wasn’t nervous— well, maybe M, but he’s a special case.”
“Are you J?” you ask, looking down at his lab coat.
“I am,” he answers and steps closer to the treadmill.
He reaches forward and unsnaps the wires hooked onto the leads on your chest. The sticker part stays on, but the wires are removed. Which means you’ll probably be hooked up to another machine soon.
“I’ve seen you around before,” you say to him, studying his face up close.
“I’m always around everywhere,” he jokes, unhooking more wires. “I don’t think there’s a square inch of this agency I haven’t seen.”
“Are you a field agent?”
He scoffs. “No, not me. I could never handle that.”
“But you’re an agent.”
He moves his head side to side. “Of sorts, yeah. B needed a tech guy, so technically I’m an agent. But if you were to send me on a mission, I might cry. I leave those sorts of things up to C or S, or any one of the other agents. Just not me.”
You nod with a small smile of your own.
“Follow me.”
Following his orders, you step off the treadmill and follow after him out of the gym.
“Is there only one of each letter?” you ask.
J laughs. “Actually, yeah.” He leads you towards a side room, it looks like an interrogation room with a large contraption on the center of the table. “It’s easier that way.”
He motions for you to take a seat across the table.
“And unless you fail this psych evaluation, I believe we’re going to be back to 26 again.” J starts fiddling with the machine, pulling wires and leads off the top.
A happy pang goes through your heart. Thank god he hasn’t hooked up the heart monitor yet, he would’ve seen it skyrocket.
“You think?” Nervously, you shift around in the chair.
J chuckles. “I do. I haven’t seen a perfect exam like this in a while. Plus, we saw all the extra training you were putting in.”
Your mouth opens a bit in shock. J looks over at you, holding the wires ready to snap to the leads on your chest.
“We have eyes everywhere, 586. Did you really think we didn’t see that?”
An embarrassed flush crawls on your neck and turns your ears red. “Of course, I know that.”
Again, he chuckles and snaps all the wires to the leads. His fingers are warm in contrast with the cold air of the exam room. Each time his knuckles brush against your skin the feeling lingers.
He places a strap around your head that has two metal leads pressing into your forehead. Even more wires from that strap lead down to the detector.
J looks down at the wires and then turns on the machine. It whirrs to life and a needle starts scribbling out your heart rate on the top.
It’s a lie detector. Of sorts. It looks like more than that.
You’re not going to pretend to understand anything, though. That’s his job.
His eyes watch the needle, he then reaches forward and clips a small cuff on your finger— a steady beeping follows it.
“There we go,” he mutters to himself and takes a seat across from you.
J shuffles papers around on the clipboard to rearrange them.
A large mirror sat on the wall behind him. There’s no way that’s not one way glass. Is there anyone on the other side watching your evaluation? Or is it just the two of you? Is there another higherup keeping track of your answers? Maybe it’s B? Or maybe other agents are spectating to see how you are.
You would be working closely with them, after all. If the roles were reversed, you’re sure you would watch.
“Ready?” J’s voice interrupts your thoughts.
Your eyes snap to him and you nod.
“Is your name Y/N L/N?” he asks, looking down at the clipboard.
It’s been so long since you’ve heard your real name. Two years? Yeah, two years. You’ve only been referred to as 586 since you joined.
“Yes.”
J looks at the contraption for a few seconds, taking note of the way it moves. He makes a small tick on the paper.
“Can you verify your date of birth for me?”
You do as he says, saying it like second nature. Again, he repeats the same motion of watching your heart rate and making a small tick.
The questions start out simple. Where were you born? What are your parent’s names? Do you have any siblings? All questions that you would make a security question for your bank.
“Now, let’s get to the real questions. Just answer honestly and you have nothing to worry about, okay, 586?” J’s voice is calm and smooth.
Something about this guy makes you want to tell him everything regardless of if you’re hooked up to several machines.
“Have you ever been contacted by an external government agency prior to enlisting in KDOI?”
KDOI: The Korean Division of Intelligence. Your dream job since you were a young girl.
“No.”
After your answer, J watches your heart rate for even longer than before. He makes a tick on the clipboard.
“Have you ever been contacted by an external government agency after enlisting in KDOI?”
“No.”
Another tick.
“Have you ever participated in an organized event that openly opposed KDOI?”
“No.”
Tick.
“Have you ever had malicious thoughts about KDOI or the agents working within it?”
“No, quite the opposite. I admire KDOI.” You add the last part with a sheepish smile.
J grins when he makes the next tick on the paper.
“Next section…” he murmurs. “Have you recently had thoughts of suicide?”
“No.”
Tick.
Question after question comes from his mouth. You answer honestly to each of them, not even hesitating to let the reply leave your lips.
“Did you have thoughts of suicide prior to enlisting in KDOI?”
“No.”
Tick.
“Do you ever have thoughts of harming others?”
“No.”
Tick.
“Do you have a boyfriend?”
“N- what?” Your eyes widen and you stare at him incredulously. There’s no way that’s on the evaluation.
J feigns ignorance and points down to the clipboard. In exaggerated movements, he motions down to it and shrugs, puffing air in his cheeks and just making a meal out of this fake performance.
“I can’t believe it either but there it is. ‘Do you have a boyfriend?’”
You tongue your cheek and smirk a bit. “No, J, I do not.”
J nods and scribbles down more than just a tick while looking at the heart monitor. “Interesting…”
He makes a few last notes before his eyes widen and he looks up at you, pointing his pen in your direction. “No girlfriend either, right?”
You roll your eyes, “No, no girlfriend either.”
Isn’t this an official evaluation? For a government official secret organization that grants people a license to kill?
He asked you if you were single immediately after asking if you’ve had thoughts of suicide. Is this guy for real?
You slow blink at him while he finishes up the form on his end.
“Well!” he exclaims happily, hitting the clipboard on the metal table. You don’t even flinch. “I believe we’re all finished here.”
Your heart squeezes with nerves.
J stands up from the table and rounds the table towards you.
So badly you want to ask for the results of your exam. Are you in? Did you pass? Are you an agent?
“B needs to sign off on all the paperwork,” J trails off, his hands reaching forward to unhook all the wires from the leads stuck to your skin. “But… I don’t think there’s any issue with me welcoming you to the agency. Officially.”
Since the heart monitor was still hooked up, you can hear the needle suddenly spike and scribble large peaks on the paper.
J turns his head to look at it. An amused smirk crosses his face and a chuckle huffs through his chest. “Funny,” he says to himself and then turns back to you.
Sheepishly, you look away from him.
“That’s what gets your heart rate to spike?” J sits on the corner of the table and folds his arms across his chest.
You bite your cheek and avoid his eyes. “Well, this has been my dream job since I was a young girl; so, yes, you alluding to me becoming an official agent would raise my heart rate.”
J scoffs. His warm fingers suddenly grab your face, thumb on one cheek and his middle and pointer finger on the other. He turns your head to face him.
When your gaze snaps to his face, you see that there’s a cocky smirk on his face but his eyes are focused down on the heart monitor. The needle stays steady much to his obvious distaste.
He sucks teeth in disbelief. “Really?”
“Is this another test?” your voice comes out muffled due to him holding your cheeks.
J rolls his eyes with a frown. “Yeah, let’s go with that.” He releases your face and slides the strap off your head.
The leads on your chest are soon to come off after that. J is careful not to rip the sticky pads off your skin too fast so that it doesn’t sting. He rubs the site with a bit of rubbing alcohol afterwards to get rid of the residue.
“How long have you been at the agency?” you ask. You’re curious about him.
He defeats all the ‘Secret Agent’ stereotypes. He’s personable and warm— and a bit flirtatious. He’s not at all the cold, all-business type you were used to. That’s how more than half the trainees were.
It’s not that you were cold, no. You just kept to yourself and worked hard.
And you made sure your personality didn’t fade during that time either.
J’s nose crinkles up while he thinks. His hands slow down in the process. “Hmm,” he hums. “Maybe four years now? Yeah, sounds about right.”
Your eyes widen. “Four years? How old are you?”
He smirks. “Don’t you know never to ask a young man his age.”
“I guess if you’re not going to tell me…” you trail off. “I’ll just say twenty eight then.”
“Twenty ei—!” he stammers and takes the last lead off your chest. “I’m twenty two!”
“Wasn’t so hard was it?”
J grumbles and turns around to finish putting the machine away. But there’s an amused tilt to the corner of his puffy lips and a playful glint in his eye.
“So you started when you were eighteen?”
“Yep.”
“Child prodigy?”
“Taken right from high school.”
“Impressive.”
J laughs under his breath. “Everyone seems to think so.”
“You don’t?”
“Eh.” He shrugs. “Everyone here is a prodigy of some sort. It’s easy to blend in and somehow appear mediocre when surrounded by Korea’s most elite minds and bodies.”
“I don’t think you’re mediocre.”
“You haven’t met everyone else yet.”
He doesn’t give you a chance to answer again. J grabs your clipboard and takes the papers off it, handing them to you.
“Bring these to B, he has to sign off on the final enlistment.” You take the stack from him. “The guard outside the door will bring you up to his office.”
You look down at the papers, your heart rate picking up faster and faster the more you think about it.
J puts his hand on your lower back and ushers you towards the door. It tingles at the base of your spine. He reaches in front of you and opens the door, motioning for you to exit first. The hand on your lower back twitches and it feels like he almost scratches it twice before urging you forward and dropping it.
It’s weirdly comforting.
It doesn’t feel weird at all.
You turn back to look at him, “Thank you, J.”
He smiles. Those round cheeks get even bigger when it happens.
“Welcome to KDOI, X .”
---------------------------------------
Two years goes by in the blink of an eye when working with a government agency. Especially when a majority of your assignments can take anywhere from a week to two months at a time.
The agents you work with are the only constant in your life. Other faces flitter in and out of your life like leaves falling off trees. You don’t grow attached to anyone outside of this organization, you can’t afford to.
You’re not complaining, not at all. You love the life you have now. It’s everything you ever wanted.
Everyone at KDOI is a family, you’re all each other has. It’s an unspoken, special bond.
When you first started, you were welcomed in with open arms. Obviously, some agents were warmer than others at first— or maybe it’s just that some were better at first impressions than others.
Maybe other people would have been upset with M’s standoffishness when you first introduced yourself. But, after a hot coffee appeared on your desk not even five minutes after complaining about being cold to him and only him, you knew he wasn’t detached and icy at all.
Other agents, like F, have been nothing but a ball of sunshine. He was the one you ate lunch with every single day while you were at the agency. Whilst sitting by yourself in the cafeteria on day one, he took it upon himself to plop himself in the seat right across from you.
H is your favorite agent to go on long assignments with. He never fails to be a constant source of entertainment and intelligent conversation— with the occasional stupid ass comment that makes you question where the man you were just talking to went.
Slowly but surely, you’ve also started learning their real names. Learning someone’s real name was apparently the equivalent of leaving you in their will around here.
There was a time and place to refer to them as their real name. It was a line you tiptoed constantly.
Surprisingly, it was M who told you his name first: Minho. It was completely unprompted too. It was in the jet returning from a three week mission where you had saved him from at least five different gunshot wounds by tackling him to the ground.
The others trickled in afterwards.
Y, or Jeongin, was shocked when you didn’t know his name. And immediately told you afterwards with a cute, wide smile on his face.
Even though every single agent has become a part of you, one particular agent seems to have captured a larger part of your soul than the others.
“J,” you say casually, slipping behind him to stand on the other side of his cluttered workbench.
Jisung. He had told you his name when you had lingered in his workshop late one night, not wanting to go back to your dorm quite yet.
“Hello, X,” he grins without looking up at you. The glasses on his nose have fallen forward.
His laptop is his primary focus, several wires are running from the computer to a tiny little gadget that looks no bigger than a cell phone. It has a small LED screen with different colored pixels bouncing around it.
Jisung’s workshop was one of your favorite places in the agency. There was always music playing, a computer always had some sort of TV on silent with the subtitles on, and there were always snacks everywhere.
You consider it a second dorm, really. As soon as you’re done training for the day, you usually find yourself here.
“When did you get back?” he asks, clicking a few keys and looking over at the gadget, then back to his computer.
“Maybe two hours ago?”
“And it took you this long to come say hi?”
“I had to shower.”
“ And you didn’t invite me?” his cheeky smile gets bigger.
You smack the back of his head, the glasses fall even more. You’re surprised they don’t tumble off his face.
If one thing has remained constant since your exam day, it’s the relentless flirting. The guy can’t go more than five minutes without saying some sort of teasing comment.
It should bother you.
But it doesn’t.
At this point, you’ve gotten quite used to it. If he ever stopped, then you might be a bit concerned. You might even miss it.
But you would never tell him that.
Jisung makes a tiny ‘gah’ noise and rubs the back of his head in fake pain. He pushes his glasses up his nose and looks over at you.
“I missed you so much and the first thing you do is hurt me,” he whines.
“I wasn’t gone that long.”
“Two long months without my girlfriend.”
“ Not your girlfriend.”
He clutched his chest through his baggy black hoodie. “Another wound.”
You cross your arms and giggle a bit. “Well get used to me not being here. B is sending me on another assignment tomorrow.”
Jisung frowns. “I know, he asked me to be at your debrief tomorrow morning.” He lets out a whine. “You just got back! Usually you’re around for at least two weeks in between missions.”
Shrugging, you look around the room. The digital clock on the wall read 10:29 PM. He’s usually the only one in here past 5:30, he tends to lose track of time easily when working on projects.
“It’s part of the job,” you say casually.
Jisung grumbles again, looking down at his laptop once more. “Yeah, well it sucks. Everyone’s always coming and going. Meanwhile I’m stuck here all day every day.”
“I thought you didn’t do field work.”
“I don’t . I just also hate that I’m trapped here while everyone gets to travel with one another.”
You narrow your eyes. “You do know we’re not sightseeing, right?”
Jisung balks. “Of course I know that.” He pauses. “But I did see that picture that you and Changbin took at Buckingham Palace.”
You bite your lip to stop the smile. “Not my fault it just so happened to be by our hotel.”
“Bang said if we had a Christmas card he would use that picture.”
The smile you’re fighting gets even bigger. You hesitate before speaking up again. “It’s a good picture.”
Jisung’s head drops and he places both of his hands on the table. “See what I mean?” he groans.
“Just tell Bang that you want field work.”
Jisung’s head shoots up and he stares at you with wide eyes. “I would die in the field!”
“You would not. One of us would be there to save your hide. You really think Minho would let you die?”
“I think he would load the gun himself.”
A laugh bubbles up in your chest. Uncrossing your arms, you turn around and lean against the table.
“Ji, we would make sure you were safe if you were to come out in the field with us. It’s our job.”
“Your job is to carry out the mission.”
“I wouldn’t give a damn about the mission if your life was on the line.”
Jisung’s mouth snaps shut. His eyebrows fly up his forehead.
The two of you stare at each other for a long moment. Out of the corner of your eye, you see his knuckles turn white from gripping the counter so hard.
His Adam’s Apple bobs with a gulp.
You shouldn’t have said something like that, shouldn’t you? Your job is to carry out government missions. Personal feelings should never be put first, you know that.
So why did you say that?
Fuck, you shouldn’t have said that.
The shock on Jisung’s face quickly morphs into a cocky smirk. It’s a mask. You can see in his eyes he’s still a bit shocked.
“I knew you were in love with me.”
Groaning, you roll your eyes and push off the table. “I’m going back to my dorm to sleep. Goodnight, J.”
Your hand slides to his lower back and you scratch twice over his lab coat and hoodie.
Ever since your exam day, the two of you do this small gesture to each other all the time. It could be when he passes behind you in the cafe line or comes up behind you in the training room. It’s such a tiny, personal gesture.
Sometimes on the coldest nights in the field, you’ll find yourself aching for that small touch.
“You’re so head over heels in love with me, X!” he calls after you, again, clutching at his heart and overacting like he’s swooning.
“I’m leaving!”
“You just got here!” he whines.
“Bye.”
“I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you walk away, X!”
“Night!” you repeat, letting the door shut after you.
You walk down the hallway of the agency with a goofy smile on your face.
“Idiot,” you mumble to yourself.
---------------------------------------
B’s office was at the very top of the large building, the windows overlooked the entirety of Seoul. Everything inside the office exuded money and power. The wood of the bookshelves was black and sleek and always dust free.
Inside the office was so large there was an entire sitting area with two sofas and two loveseats around a coffee table.
There was always a bergamot candle burning on a side table there.
It was just about 10 AM when you stepped inside.
“Ah, X, thank you so much for coming in.” B stands up from his large desk chair to welcome you in.
Bang Chan, the leader of KDOI, and the most unassuming man you’ve ever met. When you brought him your final exam paperwork that fateful day you thought you were in the wrong office.
This whole time you were expecting a wrinkly old man, not a twenty-something with dimples.
But, at this point, you’ve learned to not be surprised by anything anymore.
Maybe you were surprised at the fact that the other man in the room made no move to even look at you.
Jisung sat in the other chair in front of the desk, his face sheet white. Both of his hands are gripped in tight fists on top of his pants.
Your warm smile fades from your face as you take in his ghastly expression.
“What’s going on?” you ask.
Chan’s lips form a tight line as he motions to the chair for you to sit in. “I was going over your next assignment with J before you got here.”
“Apologies, am I late?”
“No, not at all. I had J come in a little early to talk to him one on one.”
You glance over at Jisung who looks like he hasn’t even blinked. Alarm bells are going off inside your head. Not even a nod in your direction?
“What’s this assignment about, B?” You look back to your boss.
He slides a manilla envelope across the desk to you, you take it without a second thought. Chan picks up a tiny remote off his desk and presses a button. Shades slowly come down over the window, bathing the room in darkness. Another beep on the remote and a holographic screen projects from the floor next to the desk.
Both you and Chan turn your chairs to go over the debrief, Jisung stays still. Part of you wants to snap your fingers in front of his face to see if he’s still alive or not.
Instead, you focus on your job.
“I know you’re used to more recoup time, but I’m afraid this assignment is pretty urgent.” Chan clicks the remote. A grainy CCTV picture is displayed on the screen. “The international gang you’ve been dealing with lately, the Ice Crows, have shown their face again.”
Chan zooms in on the image. Several higher ups of the gang are getting out of a black SUV. They’re all dressed in fancy suits smoking cigars.
The last time you dealt with them was about five months ago when their trail had gone cold over in Canada.
“When and where was this taken?” you ask.
“Yesterday. Paris. Where you and J will be headed after this.”
Your head snaps over to look at Chan.
With Jisung? No wonder the guy looked like he was eight inches from death!
Your eyes slide to the engineer, he’s still staring forward. A cold sweat on his brow.
“J is coming with me?”
Chan points your attention back to the debrief. “Allow me to continue.”
You spare one last look Jisung. The poor guy is shaking in his boots. Your hands itch to reach out and comfort him, but you have to remain professional.
That’s for after the debrief.
“There’s an auction being held at the Palais des Congrès. Several large and important pieces are being shown there. Including…” Bang switches the slides and displays an expensive painting. “The Refuge, which was stolen no more than two months ago by the Ice Crows. They’re putting it up for auction when it belongs back in Korea.”
Your eyes narrow. “This seems like a pretty rookie cut and dry assignment, B. You need me to get the painting back. I don’t understand why J has to come with me, he doesn’t do field work.”
The conversation the two of you had the previous night echoes in your mind.
B nods. “I know. Let me get there, X.” He switches the slide to display the floor plan of the museum. “This convention center is rather high tech, as you can see. It’s equipped with blockers that don’t allow any outside waves to make it past their walls. Any and all technical communication has to come within the building.”
“So, you’re sending J with me because he’s the only one that can operate field equipment? S can operate simple transmitters and trackers.”
“It’s more than that, X. The painting will be behind several different firewalls and security systems that not even S can hack through. J needs to be with you and he needs to be in that building.”
You take a deep breath and look over at Jisung. His hundred yard stare has moved from the window and is now focused down on his lap.
“He’ll be in your hotel room the entire time. You’ll be doing the recon and walking through the convention center to get where you need to be.”
Jisung pulls his lips between his teeth. His body finally came back to life. “I won’t need to leave the room?” His voice is hoarse.
“No,” Chan answers quickly. “Not until you’re leaving to come back home.”
Jisung shifts on his chair, unfurling his fists and swallowing thickly.
“I understand your apprehension, J, I do. But I need you on this.”
Jisung watches him closely and then offers a weak nod. He glanced over at you.
“I wouldn’t put you with X unless I was sure that she would watch your six.”
You nod and steel your expression. “I won’t let anything happen to you, J.”
Color returns to J’s cheeks at your words. He gulps and takes a deep breath, his shoulders rolling back and remaining stiff.
“Okay,” he says softly. “Okay, I’ll do it.” He’s more confident the second time.
“Good.” Chan clasps his hands together. “Stay safe, agents. Amusez vouis bien!”
---------------------------------------
You and Jisung were the only ones inside the cabin of the agency’s private jet. It took off the runway only about four minutes ago.
The brunette sat across from you, his eyes focused out the window at the clouds below. His posture is anything but relaxed. He’s sitting ramrod straight in the large cushioned chair.
You don’t think his muscles have released since you both were in Chan’s office. Even through the thick layers of his comfortable traveling clothes you can clearly read his uneasy body language.
“You okay?” you ask gently.
“No,” he mutters back. Duh.
You bite the inside of your cheek, completely unsure of what to do or say. This was never a part of your training. Maybe you should’ve picked up a copy of ‘ Comforting Friends for Dummies ’ when you had the chance.
Killing targets? Easy!
Provide detailed surveillance on a suspicious person? Done!
Soothe an anxious friend? Not so simple.
Jisung’s cheeks seem even puffier than usual, lips pursed in a pout. There’s no sparkle to his eyes like you’re used to.
Taking a deep breath, you lean back in your seat and look around the plane. You crack your knuckles, displaying your own nerves.
“Do you know the best part of staying at hotels during missions?” you ask him to break the silence.
Jisung hums in acknowledgement, he continues to watch the clouds below.
“You get to order all the room service you want— it comes out of the agency’s card.” You smirk.
He shifts around in his seat. His hands that were tightly gripping the armrests relax a bit.
“Last assignment I was on with Hyunjin, we were in a seaport town, the hotel made these bacon wrapped scallops… man… I ate so many I thought I was going to explode.” You pat your stomach.
Jisung finally looks at you. “Bacon wrapped scallops?”
You nod and smile at him. “You’ll be in the room the entire time. Think of all the room service you’ll get to order.”
“I’ve never had bacon wrapped scallops.”
“It’s Paris, who knows what they’ll offer there. And it all goes on Bang’s card.”
Jisung finally smiles. It wavers for a second, like he’s sheepish to do it. It’s paired with a breathy chuckle. He looks down at his lap and lets his body fall forward a bit, elbows resting on his knees.
His knee bounces anxiously and the exhales he lets out are shaky.
“God, Y/N,” he sighs, rubbing his face. “I can’t help but freak out.”
“Understandable.”
“It’s my first time out in the field.”
“I know.”
“What if something happens?”
You roll your eyes. “I would be more surprised if something didn’t happen, Jisung.”
His head shoots up. The color drains from his face. His pouty lips part a few times like he’s trying to find the right words to say.
“But I’m prepared for it, Jisung.” You lean forward, mirroring his posture and take his hands between yours. “I’m prepared to take care of whatever pops up to keep you safe, okay?”
His jaw clenches and he stares deeply into his eyes. The hands in yours are so warm in stark contrast to your always-cold ones.
“And if anything terrible happens then I’ll do whatever it takes to get you out of it. Trust in me, okay? I have to take care of KDOI’s resident nerd, after all.”
“Resident nerd…” he scoffs.
You bite the inside of your cheek. “Did I ever tell you what happened on my first mission with Minho?”
Jisung shakes his head.
“It was supposed to be easy! The intel that KDOI had gotten was that there was going to be a large drug exchange somewhere in the States, Minho was sent with me. And my lord, our intel was off.”
Thinking about the memory makes you giggle to this day.
“It was an international, high profile cartel that Bang has been trying to nail down for years. Well, during a small scout, I got my ass captured. I wasn’t watching my six like I should’ve.”
Jisung’s eyes widen. Obviously, he wasn’t told about this. It’s not like you enjoy flaunting the story around.
“I had a gun to the back of my head, the leader of the cartel was screaming for Minho to come out from where he was hiding or he’d kill me. God, I’ve never been so afraid in my life. My first assignment and I already had a gun to my skull.
“Minho, being the amazing agent he is, found the right vantage point and took the guy out. I was able to evade the crossfire after that, but honestly those bullets weren’t what scared me, it was the idea that Minho was disappointed in me.”
He was the agent you looked up to the most after all. He was the one that all these great stories and tales were all about. Minho was the harrowing hero of KDOI who was able to ace every mission handed to him.
“But he didn’t even say anything about it. Even when I apologized over and over again, he just shrugged and said it was part of the job. And I get it now. It is just part of the job. So don’t worry, okay?”
Jisung swallows once, chin dipping down with a stiff nod. He turns his hands around in yours to grasp your fingers.
A playful smirk creeps up on his face. “I can’t believe it…”
Your head cocks to the side and you watch him closely. He’s studying your manicured nails, his thumbs swipe over the digits softly. It’s a tender movement.
“What?” you ask.
“I can’t believe how in love with me you are.”
You rip your hands out of his and swat forward just as fast.
With a barking laugh, he moves out of the way of your slap. You swing again and again, each time his laughter gets louder and louder.
“First last night, now this? Are you going to propose to me next?”
You know this is just his way of evading thinking about how scared he is, but if that’s what it takes to make him feel better, you’ll allow it. If a distraction is what he needs, then you’ll give it to him.
“Love hurts!” he cries out when you land a solid smack on his arm. “They were right!”
“It’s going to kill you, that’s what it’s going to do.”
---------------------------------------
By the time you and Jisung get to the convention center and check into the hotel it’s nearing seven at night. The gala isn’t being held until tomorrow, so you both have some time to relax and settle in.
It leaves Jisung plenty of time to set up everything he needs inside your hotel room.
You both checked in without a hitch, getting your keys and practically falling into the room. Jet Lag is pulling your eyelids shut and weighing down on your chest like an elephant.
Flicking the lights on, you blink your bleary eyes a few times, staring down at the large bed sitting in the middle of your hotel room.
One king sized bed.
You’d love to say this hasn’t happened before but you never know what to expect on missions. There have been places where there’s been one bed, two beds, bunk beds , and even separate bedrooms once or twice.
On one occasion Hyunjin slept on the floor since you were only given one twin sized bed and you were not about to share that tiny space with the man who likes to spread out all of his limbs and hog the blanket at the same time.
So, at this point, you don’t even care if there’s only one bed.
You shrug it off and plop your bag next to the dresser and let your body fall back onto the plush mattress with an ‘oof!’
Jisung, on the other hand, hovers around the doorway, both hands still gripping the two rolling suitcases full of his equipment. “I can sleep on the pull out couch,” he says thickly.
“Ji, it’s fine, we can share a bed, we’re both adults here,” you tease him. “As long as you don’t put your cold feet on me, I don’t care.”
“I don’t have cold feet,” he grumbles and wheels his suitcases towards the small table on the other side of the room.
You let your eyes slide shut on the bed. The gentle hum of the air conditioner already lulling your brain to sleep. With how exhausted you are, it wouldn’t take much for you to give into the pull anyway.
Jisung opens up the suitcases and starts unloading every piece of technology that he has brought with him. Various wires and computer parts thud against the wood of the table.
He stops for a second.
“And how would you know if I did have cold feet?”
A laugh is punched from your chest at the abrupt question. It’s a deep belly laugh. “Let’s just say there is a loose lipped agent among us.”
Jisung pauses. “Minho said he wouldn’t tell anyone.”
“He wasn’t going to until I started teasing him about his purchase of fuzzy socks.”
“You were with him when he bought those?”
“I helped him choose between two different pairs.” You crack one eye open to look at him. “The purple pair was my idea.”
Jisung groans and slides his laptop open, the typing on his keys is a lot more aggressive. You giggle again at his outward display of frustration.
You let your eyes close again, listening to him shuffle his things around the wooden table muttering in between movements about how his feet aren’t that cold, they’re just colder than the rest of his body.
An easy smile finds its way on your face and you listen to his quiet ramblings until sleep finally washes over your tired mind.
---------------------------------------
“You were right,” Jisungs voice says in your earpiece. “Room service is fucking awesome.”
A waiter with a tray full of champagne flutes passes by, you grab one as he strides by your side.
“I told you,” you say quietly while bringing the glass up to your lips to take a sip. “What did you order?”
“I think the better question is what didn’t I order.” His mouth sounds full when he answers you.
He’s up on the 14th floor of the convention hall while you’re downstairs at the gala in a sleek, red silk dress. Your hair and makeup done exquisitely well, beautiful silver heels match the diamond jewelry adorning your skin.
You blend right in to everyone around you.
“I heard that their oysters are fantastic.”
“I think that’s part of what I ordered.” You can hear several dishes being pushed around. “Yep, right here. Although, they don’t look as appetizing as I thought.”
“They’re not really a lounge snack.”
“For rich people they are.”
The mission started about an hour ago when you made your way into the main event hall. The auction for the painting is going to begin in about another hour.
Your first task of the night is to locate the painting before the auction and place a minuscule tracking device on it to locate later once it’s sold.
There was only one way you knew to get close enough to The Refuge.
“Oh. Three tables back to your 8 is your first target of the night, X.”
Paternino ‘Pink Panther’ Cardi. One of the Ice Crows inner circle members. He can’t resist swiping whatever paintings he can get his grimy fingers on; but, he also can’t resist bragging to an attractive woman.
You turn nonchalantly to find him already eyeing you up with dark eyes.
He’s your typical mafia member. In fact, if you had to draw a cartoon of a mobster, it would look like Paternino.
You hold his searing eye contact while taking another sip from your champagne. The mobster lowers his chin and lets his tongue dart out to lick his lips.
At first, seduction wasn’t a part of the job you particularly excelled at. But after doing it for so long, it comes naturally.
Batting your lashes, you smirk at him and then turn to walk towards his table, your hips swaying in the process. Maybe you exaggerate your movements a bit, but it has the exact effect you need on Paternino.
He’s sitting at a large round booth all by himself, legs spread wide in a show-of-power manner. A large swig of whiskey is taken out of his glass before you get to him.
“Don’t you know that a beautiful woman such as yourself deserves a better drink than the venue provided champagne?” He motions to the booth seat next to him.
You place your glass on the table and slide gracefully next to him. The effort you put into this is going to need to be quick, you don’t have long to locate the painting.
“And I suppose a handsome man like yourself knows just what to order a woman like me?” Your voice is coy and seductively low.
In your ear, you hear Jisung take a tiny, shaky breath. Does he know the intercom is still activated on his end?
Paternino slides towards you a bit more so now you can smell the expensive cologne wafting off him. It’s almost too overpowering.
“A woman like you, hm?” He rests his arm on the booth behind your shoulders, lifting one hand to signal a waiter to come by. “Look into my eyes, let me see if I can guess your drink of choice.”
You rest your chin on top of your folded hands, your elbows resting on the table. His eye contact is intense and vivid, it makes your skin crawl.
Paternino hums again. “A sapphire martini.”
“Nope,” Jisung says with a chuckle.
You give a tiny, fake gasp. “How did you know?”
“I know a woman with taste when I see her.” He takes another swig of his whiskey while staring at you. “A sapphire martini for the lady.”
There must have been a waiter next to the table. You fight the urge to turn and look, instead opting to look at Paternino through your lashes.
“Your turn, Beautiful. Why don’t you make an assumption about me?”
“I assume you’re an asshole with a tiny dick.”
Humming, you scoot even closer to Paternino, your fingers come up and walk up his chest to come around his tie.
“I think,” you whisper lowly, coming closer to his own face, forcing your eyes to look down at his lips for a split second then back up at his eyes. “That you’re a powerful man around here, and that you don’t take no for an answer.”
His lips curl up in a cocky smirk. The arm that was previously on the booth, comes around your shoulders. His fingers feel clammy on your exposed skin.
“Very observant, my lady. Anything else?”
The sound of a glass being delicately placed reaches your ears. You reach out and grab the martini glass without looking, bringing it closer to you.
“No, no, it’s your turn.”
He smiles. You’re so close to his face you can hear his exhales, smell the whiskey on his breath.
You sip your own martini. God, it’s awful. You hate martinis.
Paternino slides a finger underneath the spaghetti strap of your dress. “I think you would look gorgeous without this in the way.” He tugs on the strap.
“Zero out of ten. Horrible pick up line. Try again.”
Jisung’s snarky words in your ear are oddly calming to your racing heart. He keeps bringing you down to Earth.
“Funny, I was thinking the same thing about your clothes.” You tug his tie. “The auction doesn’t start for some time. How about you show me somewhere private we can go and we can see if both of us are right.”
“Uuuuggghhhhhhh…”
“I like that idea, I know just the place, Beautiful.” Paternino slides out of the booth and holds out his hand, which you grab a hold of gingerly to stand up and be led away from the main gala floor.
---------------------------------------
It takes five minutes for Paternino to lead you to the room where The Refuge is being stored. It only takes you ten seconds to knock him out cold with one solid hit to the back of the head.
His body hits the ground like a sack of potatoes in the dark storage room.
“Fucking finally,” Jisung groans in your ear.
“Sorry, it was the only way I knew to get back here.”
“That was torture, X. I’m never doing this again.”
You roll your eyes and pick up Paternino’s ragdolling body under the arms, dragging him across the room and stuffing him inside a storage closet with his arms and legs tied together and duct tape over his mouth.
“Now, which one is The Refuge?” you mutter looking around at all the art around the room. There’s sculptures, painting, glass blown pieces, everything you would see in a museum.
“I wonder if The Refuge is the only stolen thing in here?”
Sighing, you walk around the room, trying to recognize anything. “Probably not. But it’s the only one we know about.”
You find the painting eventually sitting at the very back of the room covered by a large sheet. When you walk up to it, you take your earring out of your ear and slide the back off— which is where you were keeping the tracker.
You tuck the tracker in the back of the painting between the canvas in the wood. It wouldn’t slip out nor would anyone notice.
“Perfect.”
“I can see it on the map still, you’re all good. Now get out of there.”
“Anyone coming on the cams?”
“No, you’re clear.”
You take your other earring out and throw it in the garbage can by the door. They were fake anyway and you don’t feel like looking like a freak with one in.
---------------------------------------
When you returned to the event hall, people were taking their seats for the auction, so you followed suit. Grabbing another drink from the bar before you sat down.
“Vodka tonic?”
“Always,” you say under your breath.
You watch the bartender make your drink with close eyes.
Now you just needed to wait until the auction was over to get the painting back. Your job was half over.
Through the earpiece, you can hear knocks on Jisung’s hotel room door.
“More room service?”
“I… I didn’t order anything.”
Alarm bells go off in your mind. “Don’t answer it.”
Jisung stays silent for a few moments. You’re no longer watching the bartender, you’re focusing intently on what you can hear in your ear.
“J.” You state, trying to get an update from him.
“I think they’re gone.”
Before you can even think about being relaxed there’s a loud bang on the other side of the intercom and Jisung shrieks from surprise.
“X! X, they’re in the room! X!” His voice shouts into your ear.
You’re already running out of the event hall, your dress hiked up in your hands.
“J, there’s a gun strapped to the bottom of the table, use it!”
You can hear gruff voices screaming at Jisung not to move, that they’d kill him if he even twitched a muscle.
“X, there’s five of them.” He whispers quietly.
“J, listen to me, stay calm, I’ll be there in five minutes.” You burst through the stairwell and start climbing two at a time, even in your heels. The elevator would’ve taken too long. “Do what you need to stay alive, fuck the assignment. Stay alive.”
“X.” It’s a whimper and it stabs you through the heart. The yelling gets louder and louder.
Jisung begs for mercy. You can hear the desperation in his voice, it pushes your legs to move faster and faster up the stairs.
“Si—“
The earpiece goes dead after a gunshot.
Your knees wobble and you lose your momentum.
Oh my god, no, fuck, please.
Reaching out, you grab the railing to keep your balance on one of the landings.
“J?” you scream. “J, can you hear me?”
Nothing. Not a single voice comes through. Not even static.
Maybe they just shot the equipment. That has to be it. They didn’t shoot him. They wouldn’t. Right?
You steel your nerves and launch yourself up the remaining steps. By the time you reach the 14th floor, you’re not even winded.
The long hallway is colder than the stairwell. You take off sprinting towards your room, sharply rounding the few corners that you come across. Right before your own stretch of hallway, you slow down to a walk. It kills you but you have to do it.
In the distance, right in front of your room, you see two large men in black suits standing guard. They take notice of you immediately.
“What are you doing up here, ma’am?” One asks as you walk closer.
“My room is up here, honey.”
He looks to his partner and then back at you. “Turn around and walk the other way.”
“Why?” you ask, only about ten feet away.
“Just do it, sweet cheeks.”
Your eyebrow cocks and before he can react, you walk up and throw a sharp right hook into his jaw. The bone in his face cracks and he stumbles down onto the ground.
His partner yells in surprise and starts fumbling for his gun. When his hand raises to shoot you, you grab his arm and aim his weapon down so when he discharges it, it shoots right into his partner.
Then, you pull his arm so he falls forward into you. You swing the heel of your palm upwards right into his nose. With your free hand, you reach down and grab the tiny pistol that was strapped to your thigh.
Before the second goon could recover, you shoot him right in the head.
The sound of gunshots obviously alerted the remaining three gang members in the room. Two of them come barreling out into the hallway with their weapons drawn.
Immediately, you shoot the first one in the head, he hits the ground before he even knows what hit him. The other gang member yelps in shock before you shoot him too.
Within two minutes there are four bodies in the hallway.
Carefully, you walk into your hotel room, keeping your back against the wall and your gun cocked.
“Shut the fuck up,” a gruff voice says roughly.
Jisung said there were five of them. The fifth must be the one holding him hostage.
Quietly, you inch closer and closer to the corner of the wall. Once you turn around, he’ll be right in front of you.
You gulp and take one deep breath before coming around the corner, gun pointed forward.
“I wouldn’t if I were you.” That same deep voice calls out.
Your heart drops.
Another typical looking crook is pointing his gun at the closed wardrobe doors in the corner of the room.
Where is Jisung? Where is he? Is he in the wardrobe? He has to be inside the wardrobe.
“Why don’t you drop the gun, sweetie.” The mobster says darkly.
You stay still with the gun pointed at him despite his words. The trigger seems to burn your finger. It's aching to be pulled.
Is Jisung in the wardrobe? Is he in there and you can’t see him?
Or is this guy trying to pull a fast one on you to get you to drop your weapon?
Fuck, is Jisung in the wardrobe?
“I said drop the fucking gun.” He moves to pull the hammer back of his own pistol and you don’t hesitate even for a second.
You pull your own trigger.
He drops to the ground with a bullet wound directly in his head.
You sprint across the room and rip open the wardrobe doors.
Empty.
It’s empty.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” you repeat under your breath frantically. You blink your eyes over and over again hoping that he would suddenly appear.
You even go so far as to open and close the wardrobe door three more times, each time more frantic.
“Fuck!”
Where the fuck is he if he’s not inside this room?
The equipment on the table has a bullet hole through Jisung’s main laptop but no blood anywhere near it. But his glasses are. They’re lying on the floor with a crack through one of the lenses.
Did they move him to another location? He doesn’t have a tracker on him like you do.
With a yell of anguish, you turn and kick the dead mobster at your feet. His limp body rolls over and his jacket pocket falls open.
A hotel room key tucked inside the pocket catches your attention. You crouch down and pick it up.
‘1833’ is written on the back of the key.
It’s not a great lead, but your legs are running out of your hotel room before you even think twice. Obviously they moved him somewhere else to lead you into their trap and it didn’t work. Not with how well you were trained.
You burst through the door leading to the 18th floor, heeled shoes sprinting down the hallway towards where room 1833 would be.
As soon as you’re in front of the door, you click the hammer back of your gun and hold it out in front of you, swiping the key in the handle with your free hand.
The lock clicks open and you push the handle down slowly, trying to cause the least amount of noise as possible. All of the lights are off inside of the hotel room, save for one lamp. The yellow glow radiates on the wall.
There’s no noise.
Everything is completely silent save for the quiet hum of the air conditioning pumping through the room.
Until you hear a sniffle, a huff, and then another sniffle.
Inching across the floor, you slide your back against the wall like you did previously, listening for any more key sounds that would alert you that there are more people inside the room.
Taking one last deep breath, you round the corner and point your gun forward.
Even in the dark you know exactly what you’re seeing.
In the middle of the room stood Han Jisung; his hands tied together with a rope coming from the ceiling, a blindfold around his eyes and earplugs shoved into his ears. From here you can see the wetness from his tears being absorbed by the blindfold. There’s a gag tied around his mouth muffling tiny sobs.
You don’t allow yourself to fall victim to false security, you look around the room closely, making sure no one else is lying in wait for you to fall into yet another trap.
No other soul is inside this hotel room with you.
Dropping the gun onto the bed, you cross the room towards Jisung as quickly as possible.
He must sense another presence in front of him, his entire body stiffens and another louder sob is swallowed by the gag. He backs up away from you as much as his restraints allowed– which was next to nothing.
“Jisung,” you say in relief. “Oh god.”
Without thinking twice about it, you reach around and brush your hand on his lower back, scratching twice.
Jisung’s chest heaves with another sob, even through the gag in his mouth, you can hear him whimper your name. His entire body relaxes and he falls towards you, the ties on his hands tugging even more.
You reach up and yank the gag out of his mouth.
“X,” he rasps with a dry tongue. “Oh my god please say it’s you. I-I can’t hear anything— fuck, Jesus. Thank god you’re alive, oh god.”
You scratch his lower back again, looking at the restraints. How the fuck were you going to untie that knot?
Jisung’s tongue darts out to lick at his dry lips. His weight leans into you as much as he can. It must’ve been horrifying to be tied up like this, he couldn't hear or see or scream for help.
Gingerly, you reach up and cup both of his cheeks so as not to startle him. Even with how gentle you were, he still jumps in shock.
“Everything happened so fast,” he rambled. “They shot out the laptop so the communicator was fried. Next thing I knew I had a bag over my head and I was being tied up.”
Using your fingers, you push the blindfold up his face to rest around his forehead.
Jisung’s big, brown eyes blink and squint a bit before focusing on you. He searches all over your face, taking in every detail as if you’re a glass of water and he’s been crawling through the desert.
His eyebrows pinch together and he gulps.
“God, I’m always glad to see you, but now I’m really glad.”
You laugh under your breath, the stress from just the last thirty minutes alone lifting off your shoulders.
He’s okay.
Jisung is okay.
Using your hands, you wipe the tear tracks off his puffy cheeks. God, he must’ve been horrified.
He’s probably never going to go out into the field again. You look up at the restraints, analyzing the knot closely. You’re going to have to cut him down, there’s no way you’re untying that. He’s secured to a pipe that runs across the entirety of the ceiling.
“You know,” Jisung starts. His voice already has that teasing tilt to it. “If you wanted me tied up this badly, all you had to do was ask, baby.”
Your eyebrows twitches. Mr. Humor-Is-My-Coping-Mechanism decides to show his face now of all times, huh?
Slowly, you look down from his restrained wrists to his dark eyes. A smirk is already plastered on his face, his lips still wet from licking them.
“You must want me so bad, hm?”
With your own crooked smile, you tongue your cheek and make a ‘huh’ noise, it puffs through your chest. That’s how he wants to be, huh?
He can stay tied up for a little longer then. It’s not like anyone’s coming into this room nor do you have anything to do until after the auction.
Really, you have nothing but time to kill!
You take a step backwards away from him and cross your arms over your chest.
His eyes widen when you distance yourself from him. “Wh…” His cheeks puff a bit as his lips purse in confusion. Jisung tugs on the rope still around his wrists.
You cock your head to the side and stare at him with one lifted brow.
The bed behind you dips down under your weight as you sit down on the edge. It gives you a perfect vantage point to watch Jisung grow more and more confused as to why you’re not cutting him down yet.
Slowly, his ears start turning red, the flush crawls across his face and down his neck, disappearing into his black hoodie.
“X,” he says hoarsely. “Aren’t you going to cut me down?”
You shrug, knowing no matter what you say, he’s not going to hear you. If he wants to tease you, you can tease right back.
The gun on the bed beside you is picked up in your hand. You nonchalantly click the safety on and toss it to the side again.
He tugs even harder, the ropes chafing his wrists a bit. You watch as JIsung’s Adam’s Apple bobs with a gulp. The blindfold is pushing his bangs up in wild directions.
The helpless look on his face shouldn’t be making your blood pump this way. Excitement shouldn’t be tingling at the base of your spine from the power trip you’re getting from this. This is only teasing between two best friends, nothing more.
It’s just teasing, right?
Right?
You cross one leg over the other, leaning back on your hands. The plush blanket underneath your fingertips feels cool and soft. It’s a complete contrast to the way your skin is heating up under Jisung’s desperate gaze.
“Aren’t you going to…” he trails off. Several times his eyes flick from yours down to your exposed leg. When you had crossed them, due to the slit up your dress, the entirety of your leg was exposed to the cool hotel room air.
“Going to what?” you ask him, exaggerating the movements of your mouth for him to understand.
Jisung gulps again while watching your lips. He squints his eyes closed and tries to take a steadying breath in through his nose, his chin tilts back a bit.
You allow your gaze to wander down his body a bit. He’s always in relaxed clothing, including now. An oversized black hoodie draped over his shoulders with gray sweatpants on his bottom half.
Gray sweatpants that you now notice seem a little… tight .
Oh.
It seems as though you’re not the only one whose thoughts seem to be a bit… derailed.
When you look back up at Jisung, he’s staring at you with slightly glassy eyes and a heaving chest. Nervously, his tongue comes out to lick his drying lips again.
A tight band of tension stretches between the two of you; you can practically feel it connecting your bodies together. The hair on the back of your neck stands up.
Is he thinking the same thing you are? Is he allowing his mind to wander the way that yours is?
Slowly, you uncross your legs and stand up from the edge of the bed.
Big brown eyes flick down to watch the movement absentmindedly, his lips part and a shaky exhale leaves them.
Your hips sway from side to side with each slow step you take towards Jisung.
The eye contact he makes with you is sharp; his thoughts being conveyed through them. He wants you, and he wants you bad. It’s like he’s practically begging for it with those brown puppy dog eyes.
And you’ll be damned because you want it just as bad.
There’s only so much of his teasing that you can take. Only so much desire the dam within your heart can take before it bursts. And right now, with how high your adrenaline has spiked, nothing is stopping you.
The last two years of nonstop flirting is taking its toll on your self control.
Licking your own lips, you look up at Jisung, a shaky breath coming out afterwards.
Your fingers come up and grab the blindfold that’s still around his forehead and tug it back down over his eyes.
“ Fuck, ” Jisung murmurs. Your face is so close to his you can physically feel the words splay out onto your own lips.
With the gentleness of a butterfly landing on a flower, you brush your lips against his. Jisung immediately brings his face closer to yours, smashing your mouths together even more.
A sensation you can’t quite describe washes over you. It has the same level of completeness that you had felt when you became a full-fledged agent; like you just did something that the universe has been waiting for you to do.
His pouty lips start moving against yours faster and faster with more urgency, like he can’t get enough of you, like he’s experiencing the same emotions that you are. Were you the piece he always needed too?
Both of your hands begin to explore. You cup his cheek with one while the other grabs at the front of his hoodie. He’s leaning into you so much that the ropes holding his wrists squeak as they tighten and rub.
With a teasing smirk against his mouth, you take a tiny step back. This way he wasn’t able to reach your lips but could still feel the heat from your body in front of him.
A tiny whine leaves his throat as soon as you pull away. You watch as his lips chase after you just to be stopped by the ropes.
“Y/N,” he whispers, pleading. You lightly tap his cheek twice.
Pulling the collar of his hoodie to the side, you let your mouth hover over his neck.
Since he doesn’t have sight or hearing, all of his other senses are on high alert. Jisung feels your warm exhales so close to his skin and squirms around, little noises leaving the back of his throat.
You tease him more and more by letting your deep breaths fan over his flushed skin but never actually letting your lips actually meet with his neck.
Jisung pulls and pulls on the restraints, each exhale driving him insane.
When your lips finally meet his neck, a long mewl exits his own wet mouth. His head tilts to the side to give you more access. Greedily, you let your mouth explore his soft skin.
His hips buck forward into yours, his hard length grinding into your hip to bring himself some relief. Jisung whines again at the sensation.
At the same time, you open your mouth and suck down where his shoulder meets his neck. His body tenses up and his head tilts back in pleasure.
“Jesus, fuck,” he curses, grinding into your hip once again. “Oh, god. Shit– please, fuck, Y/N.” His incoherent babbling only increases in pitch and frequency the more you run your tongue up and down his neck, never going lower than the collar of his hoodie would pull or higher than his jawline.
You let your free hand travel up to thread in his soft, chocolate brown locks of hair. You scratch at his scalp a few times, letting your nails drag along his head. A low moan emanates deep within Jisung’s chest, it almost sounds like a purr. His head leans back into your touch.
“Oh my god,” he murmurs. Every noise that comes out of his mouth is louder than you expect thanks to the earplugs. “Y/N, please– oh fuck , kiss me again, please, oh my god, please, Y/N.”
Pulling away from his neck, you capture his lips in the middle of his babbling. The rest of his words are swallowed by your own mouth. His tongue darts out from his mouth to lick at your lips and coax yours forward.
Your own moans slip between kisses, Jisung can feel the vibrations against his mouth and they drive him absolutely wild. His hands ball up into fists; he wants to touch you so bad.
“Y/N,” he says your name in between kisses. “Please, c-cut me down.” Your kisses travel down to his jawline. “I want to– Fu-huh-huck! ” You bite down on his neck harshly, sucking a bright purple hickey underneath it.
Jisung rolls his hips into yours. You can feel how absolutely rock hard his cock is through his sweats.
“N-Need to touch you. Hah! I’m going insane, Y/N.”
Begs sound so good coming from his lips.
You run your hands down his chest to tease at the hem of his hoodie before sliding them underneath the fabric and up his bare chest. The muscle that greets you underneath it is a pleasant surprise.
The hard lines of his abs and chest run along the pads of your fingertips. He flexes and tenses under your touch.
Jisung throws his head back with a groan, his weight shifts around on his feet. It feels so fucking good . Every single touch to his body is heaven sent.
At the top of his chest, you curl your fingers and rake your nails down his skin.
The wail that tears from his throat makes your heart rate pick up ten fold. It sends a lightning bolt of pleasure through your body.
“Oh my god, please do that again! ” Jisung begs, his mouth hanging open as he pants over and over again. It seems like he can’t catch his breath.
Who were you to deny him?
With a featherlight touch, you let your fingers trail up, up, up his body. The closer you got to the top, the faster Jisung’s breathing picks up.
Right before you curled your fingers again, you smash your lips together in another searing kiss. When you claw down his quickly reddening skin, his cry is swallowed up by your own mouth.
You don’t stop your fingers on their downward descent, you tease the waistband of his sweats, letting your fingers curl around the top of the band and touching the taut skin underneath.
“Ah, hah.” Jisung pants into your mouth. He leans forward and sucks on your bottom lip, pulling it back for it to snap against your teeth. “I want to touch you so bad, Y/N, please .”
“Be patient,” you say against his lips. He doesn’t hear it, but he feels it. A pathetic whine responds to your words.
You kiss his lips a few more times before dropping down to your knees in front of him.
“Holy shit,” he breathes out. “Oh god, oh my god.”
You grab his legs with both of your hands starting at the knees and run them up his thighs, taking your time on your ascent.
“Fuck, fuck , this is really happening.” Jisung gulps. He pulls harder and harder on the ropes.
When your hands reach the top of his thighs, you run one closer and palm his erection over the top of his sweats. A deep, guttural moan is Jisung’s only response. Even through his sweats you can feel how his cock twitches in your grasp.
His hips buck into your hand when you squeeze him. “F-Fuck, I– Oh god– This is really happening and I can’t even fucking see it .”
You smirk. Maybe you should show him a small bit of mercy. Just a small amount.
Leaning forward, you kiss his cock over his sweatpants. Jisung gasps and twitches again.
You stand up quickly, coming nose to nose with him. Your hands come up to cup his cheeks, they’re so warm from his flushed face.
“Y-Y/N,” he gasps. You peck his lips, letting them linger on his while your hands come up to his ears to take the plugs out. “Y/N,” he repeats on your lips.
“Hi, Jisung,” you breathe against his mouth before kissing him again, letting the earplugs drop to the ground.
You don’t linger for too long, you kiss down his face, down his neck, and then you fall to your knees once more.
“Jesus, Y/N.”
You don’t tease him too much this time, you grab the waistband of his pants and tug them down, his rock hard cock finally coming out. His tip is red and angry. God, how can a dick look so pretty?
Just as quickly as you got his cock out of his pants, you wrap your hand around him, pumping your hand up and down slowly.
“Ohhhh my goood,” Jisung mewls. His thighs tense up and flex each time you stroke up and down. “Fuck yeah, Y/N. God, your hands are so fucking soft.”
You tighten your grip and Jisung whines.
“Yeah? Does that feel good, baby?”
His cock twitches in your hand at the nickname at the same time a tiny whine escapes his throat.
“Does it?”
“Y-Yes,” he answers shyly.
“Louder, Jisung.”
“Yes, it feels good!”
“Good boy.” Without warning, you lean forward and take the entirety of him inside your mouth.
You can feel his knees buckle and if it wasn’t for the restraints keeping him suspended from the ceiling, he probably would’ve fallen to the ground.
“Oh, oh m-my, f-fuck, Y/N!”
You’re relentless. You bob your head back and forth on his dick, letting your tongue swirl around the tip when you come up just to go back down and swallow him completely. Jisung’s hands are balled into such tight fists that his knuckles are turning white.
So many different pitches of whines, moans, and groans fall so easily from his lips. Compliments come out in between each one.
“So good,” he cries. “I can’t fucking– holy shit.”
In some part of your mind, you always knew he would be vocal during sex– but never this vocal. He hasn’t shut up once. Not that you’re complaining, quite the opposite really. You fucking love every single noise that he makes. Each one sends a shock down between your legs.
Too often you’ve been with partners that conceal how you’re making them feel, but not anymore. Jisung is making sure you know exactly how well you’re doing.
“Such a perfect mouth, oh god. So fucking warm.”
You let your hand travel up his hoodie again, his abs are clenching and releasing over and over again with how hard he’s panting, you can feel each one under your hands.
“Yes, yes, yes,” he pants as your hand goes up. “Fucking hurt me, yeah, please, scratch me, Y/N.”
God, the way he’s talking to you is fucking sinful. It’s perfect .
You scratch down his chest just as harshly as you did twice previously.
Again, Jisung lets out a wail, his hips bucking and fucking his cock down your throat. You gag around him but keep him down your throat regardless.
“I-I-I’m gunna, holy shit, Y/N, I’m g’na– g’na—”
Now, you can’t have that yet, can you?
Quickly, you pull off his cock, letting yourself take a gulp of air.
Jisung cries out from his ruined orgasm. “No! Shit! Fuck! Why?”
You look around the room while he throws his mini temper tantrum. There’s a small kitchen off to the side of the suite.
As if you have nothing better to do, you meander over to it, looking around.
“Y/N?” Jisung asks, hearing you walk away.
“Hm?” you respond.
“W-Where did you go?”
“Still here, baby, why?”
He shifts around, pulling on the ropes. The red color on his ears is getting deeper and deeper. “Just um– Why did you leave?”
You giggle. “Looking for something.”
You open one of the drawers, close it, then open another until you find what you’re looking for. It glints and catches your eye in the third drawer you check. You pick up the knife that was inside the drawer.
You’re walking back in his direction with the knife in your hand.
“D-Did you find what you needed?”
“Yep.”
With frightening grace, you reach up and slice the ropes holding his wrists in the air.
He almost drops to the ground, but you grab a hold of him before he has a chance to fall into the carpet.
Jisung wastes no time, he grabs at your waist with both of his hands. Through the silk fabric of your dress, you feel the heat of his touch. It scorches into your skin and you wish he would brand his very handprints there.
His lips are already on yours again, feverishly kissing you as if you would disappear if he stopped even for a moment. He takes one second to rip the blindfold off his eyes and then he’s back on your mouth.
The hands on your waist don’t stay there long. They run all along your figure, up in your hair, over your neck, grabbing your ass, gripping your hips, he’s everywhere.
You back up a bit, pulling Jisung with you until the back of your legs are about to hit the bed. Quickly, you spin the two of you around, pushing his chest so that he falls back onto the bed.
When Jisung finally blinks the confusion from his eyes, his breath catches in his throat at the sight of you at the foot of the bed.
You’re looking at him like you’re about to devour his very soul. Your hair is frizzy and tousled, the straps of your dress falling off your shoulders, your lipstick smudged over your puffy, kiss swollen lips.
“Fuck, you’re gorgeous,” he murmurs. His fingers curl into the blanket.
You straddle his legs and crawl onto the bed, hiking the skirt of your dress up enough for Jisung to see the strong muscle of your thighs.
“There’s no way I’m awake right now,” he whispers, hands grabbing at your bare legs and running them up to push your dress further up your body. “I must have been shot. I’m in Heaven right now.”
With a sultry chuckle, you cup his cheek and let your thumb swipe over his lips. “I’m real, baby.”
“Oh my god.”
You reach down and take a hold of his cock, pumping him up and down a few more times. Jisung moans and fights for his eyes to stay open, he can’t get enough of the sight of your hand wrapped around him.
With your other hand, you reach down and pull your panties to the side, revealing your dripping cunt.
“Holy fuck, you’re so wet,” Jisung whines. His fingers run up your folds, collecting your wetness on his digits and bringing them up to his mouth. He moans around his own fingers at your taste, his eyes rolling back in his skull. “Please, I need to–”
You cut him off by squeezing his cock. “Next time. I need you now .”
“Yes, ma’am,” he squeaks out.
As if he would ever complain.
You line his cock up with your entrance, Jisung grabs your hips with both of his hands, his thumbs pressing against the bone so hard. His breathing is getting faster and faster with each passing second.
Slowly, you sink down on his cock.
Both of you moan out in unison. The stretch feels fucking marvelous inside of you. Jisung’s eyes roll back in his head once more.
His moans dissolve into silence as his mouth stretches open in an ‘O’. He throbs inside you right before you lift your hips just to drop them again.
“Oh god,” you moan. “Jisung, you feel so fucking good.”
“Move, please ,” he begs and you bounce up and down again and again. Each time you drop down, it shoots pleasure down through your thighs and into your toes.
You grab his face and smash his lips with yours once more. His tongue immediately finds yours.
Jisung’s hands wander from your hips all the way around your body to grip your ass while you ride him, his fingers dig into the flesh, kneading it with each bounce.
“Fuck, fuck,” he murmurs into your mouth. “Pussy so fucking tight.”
“Just for you.”
“O-Oh, fuck yeah . Just like that, baby.”
Jisung pulls away from your lips to kiss down your neck the way you did to him earlier. He takes his hands off your ass to pull the straps of your dress down your arms for your breasts to fall out of the top.
“Shit, baby,” he whines before taking a nipple in his mouth.
Moaning, you pull his hair tighter, keeping his face buried in your chest– not that he seems to mind. His eyebrows pinch together, moans vibrating against your chest as he licks and sucks at your nipple.
His other hand comes up to pinch and pull at the other. Each tweak and flick of his tongue makes your walls clamp down on his cock.
“Your cock feels so good, Jisung,” you moan, clenching on him again. “Stretching me so good, so fucking big.”
He moans, sucking a hickey on the underside of one of your tits.
The pitch of both of your moans begin to get higher and higher the closer you get to your peaks. Jisung’s heels dig into the carpet and he starts fucking up into you.
“Fuck!” you cry out, holding him tighter. His thrusts are so much wilder than your bounces were. Each one fucks right into your g-spot. “Ji– Jisung, oh god!”
“Yeah?” He pulls away from your chest and looks up at you with half lidded eyes. “Does that feel good? Am I making you feel good?”
“Yes, yes! Keep going, Ji!”
Every single thrust is driving you wild. Everything about him makes you feel crazy, everything down to the sweat beading on his forehead.
He reaches down and presses his thumb against your clit, making you cry out. He rubs circles in the same tempo as his thrusts.
Closer and closer you approach your own climax, his touch feels too good.
Jisung looks down, watching where his cock disappears inside you over and over again. The very sight of it makes his mouth go dry.
He groans and falls into your chest.
“Say it for me, Y/N, say it,” he pants into your neck. “Say you’re close. I-I’m going to fucking bust, say you’re close, I need you to cum on my cock. Need it s-so bad.”
“I am, I am,” you repeat like a mantra. Your own pleasure is making you feel inside, his cock is abusing your walls just right, his thumb on your clit adding an extra level of insanity.
You pull more at his hair.
Close, close, close. It’s all you can think of. Jisung is enveloping all of your senses. He’s everything in your mind and body and even your soul.
“Gunna cum!” you cry out. “Cumming, cu– cumming!”
With just three more thrusts, your walls clamp down on Jisung’s cock, triggering his own release.
“Jisung, fuck!”
He bites down on your neck, crying out and grabbing you tightly with his free hand. He clings onto you like he would die if he let go.
Hot, sticky cum drips over your walls, leaking out around his cock.
Both of you are panting heavily, unable to move and detangle yourselves from one another.
Slowly, you release your death grip on his hair, letting your nails drag along his scalp like you did earlier. He hums against your neck, his hands finding your hips again, thumbs massaging you over your dress.
The gentleness of his touch makes you clench around him, your cunt still going through the aftershock of your orgasm.
“Jeeesus…” Jisung moans out, a bit overstimulated. You giggle and pull back to look down at your best friend. He looks up at you with a delighted smile across his face.
You giggle and continue to comb through his hair.
His eyes fall closed happily and he leans into your touch.
This should feel awkward. You should be having some sort of ‘post-nut clarity’ where you freak out for sleeping with your best friend, but you’re not.
Right here, right now, you feel safe and content. And your relationship with Jisung feels the same– if not better.
“I knew it,” he hums.
You cock your head to the side. “Knew what?”
“You’re obsessed with me.”
Laughing, you lean forward and press a long kiss to his lips. “Yeah.” You kiss him again. “Maybe I am.”
---------------------------------------
“So J was captured and tied up in another room in the convention center?” Chan asks.
You and Jisung had safely returned to Korea with The Refuge about two hours ago. And, per protocol, you both immediately went to Chan’s office for a debrief.
“Affirmative,” you answer.
“And you got him back, obviously. No problems after that?”
“No, sir.”
Jisung shifts on his chair next to you.
“Uneventful beyond that one hiccup?”
You tongue your cheek. “Yes, sir.”
Chan eyes the two of you curiously from the other side of his desk. But, the mission was complete and everything was done. There was nothing he needed to be wary of. For now.
“Understood. I’ll read about the mission more in your reports. You’re both dismissed.”
The two of you are leaving Chan’s office with thinly veiled smirks on your faces. Just as you’re about to close the door behind you, he calls out.
“Might want to cover the hickeys next time!”

a/n: prompt edited slightly bc gojo is gojo lol. also, y’all know that one meme that goes something like “i be like “fuck him” and then end up actually fucking him”? lmao yeah.
— — — —
You hated working long hours, but the amount of curses that have been spotted in Tokyo during the last few weeks have given you, your colleagues and the students plenty to do.
With Suguru Geto keeping a close eye on the first-years as they complete their mission, and Kento Nanami doing the same for the second-years, that leaves you alone at the school late at night, silently completing some paperwork.
Well, you thought you were alone.
You walk through the empty halls of Jujutsu Tech, thumbing through some files that Yaga accidentally left you. They actually belong to the colleague that you thought about way more than you should; Satoru Gojo. As you approach his office, your steps slow as you raise an eyebrow in confusion.
The sliding door is slightly cracked, and the light is on. You know that he works the most out of everyone here, however, it’s your first time seeing him at the school so late. It’s nearly midnight. You’re about to call out his name, but stop when you hear it—the soft exhale, almost like a blissful sigh. Curious, you peek through the crack in the door, and your eyes widen at the sight in front you.
Satoru Gojo is fully leaned back in his chair with an arm tucked behind his head, his shirt raised just enough to expose his chiseled abs, and his pants are unbuttoned. Your eyes drift lower, and heat rises to your face when you see him stroking his cock. You know it’s wrong, and you know that you should look away, however, you can’t.
The matching jacket to his uniform isn’t anywhere to be found, and he’s wearing a dark shirt, which is just a little bit tight since his muscles bulge with every movement. You’ve worked alongside him for two years, but this is your first time seeing just how defined and strong his body is. His cock is long and thick, and a small part of you feels jealous of his hand, wishing that you were the one touching and stroking.
Your stomach flips. Fuck, what are you thinking?
Satoru’s head tilts back a bit to settle against his arm, and he lets out a deep, barely-audible groan as he continues to relieve himself. The sound of it makes your body grow warm. Though his blindfold is on, you can tell that his eyes are shut. You notice an earbud in one of his ears, however, his phone is face down on the desk next to him. Not watching something, but listening to something. You never thought that he’d be the type to prefer audio over visual porn.
His chest rises and falls with each quiet breath, and you wonder if he does this whenever the school is empty and he just has a few minutes to himself. Since he’s the main one constantly handling difficult missions, meetings with the higher-ups and training the students, you assumed that he barely had time for anything else. Being the strongest sorcerer seems far too intense. The work, teaching the next generation, dealing with the Limitless technique and the Six Eyes, being the one who—
Your heart drops when you suddenly remember. Six Eyes. Six Eyes. There’s absolutely no way he doesn’t know that you’re there right now.
You quietly turn around and walk down the hall as quietly as you can back to your office, absolutely hating yourself for staying as long as you did.
Not even two minutes go by until you’re thinking about Satoru in his office again. You exhale and continue writing reports, desperately trying to ignore the slight ache between your thighs. On your desk, your phone begins to vibrate. You think it’s Suguru Geto with an update, but it’s not.
It’s him.
You take a few seconds to contemplate your next move, then end up picking up the phone, keeping your voice as level as possible. “Hello? It’s late.”
“Like what you saw?” Satoru asks smugly. You can tell he’s grinning slyly. He knows.
You attempt to save yourself anyway. “Huh?”
“Don’t “huh” me, you were watching me just now,” he replies in a low voice. “Didn’t know our pretty, quiet sorcerer was such a pervert. So, I’ll ask again: Like what you saw?”
“...I didn’t mean to stare,” you say after a few beats of silence. “What kind of person does that with the door open anyway??”
“I pissed Nanami off last month and he slammed my door pretty hard. It hasn’t been able to close all the way ever since.” When you go quiet again, Satoru chuckles teasingly. “You still haven’t answered my question.”
You scoff. “What if I told you that I wasn’t going to answer that?”
“Oh, I know the answer, pretty girl,” he purrs, and the nickname makes your stomach flutter. “I was just giving you the opportunity to use your words and admit that you want me. You’re kinda bad at hiding your little crush, y’know.”
You flusteredly fumble over your words, and Satoru continues talking before you can form a complete sentence. “These last few weeks have been rough on you too, and I’m certain that you can also use a bit of relief. It’s just us here. No one will know.”
“And if I told you no?” You ask with a small, questioning hum. “Would you go back to listening to your porn?”
“Too bad we won’t find out, because you and I both know that you’re coming back here.”
The smugness in his voice makes you grit your teeth. “Cocky asshole.”
“Mhm. See you in a bit.”
He hangs up the phone, and you scoff, practically tossing the device back onto your desk. You readjust yourself in your seat, try to think past the surge of lust and remember where you were in your reports before he called. He’s so unbelievably frustrating, so arrogant, so not someone you should want.
“Fuck him,” you grumble to yourself as you continue writing.
—
“Ohhh god. Shit,” Satoru hisses through his teeth as his hands grip your waist. “You’re so fucking tight.”
You truly don’t know how you ended up here. One moment, you’re writing reports, and the next, you’re back in Satoru’s office, kissing him as hard as you could so you wouldn’t hear any sarcastic and smug comments from him before shoving him back into his chair and riding him. His cock feels bigger than it looks, and it reaches so deep that every movement strikes your weak spot. The floor of Satoru’s office is littered with your clothing, and you’re beyond thankful that no one else is in the building, because you’re certain that your sultry moans can be heard from anywhere.
Satoru trails open-mouth kisses along your chest, then sucks yet another mark onto one of your tits. You run your hands through his hair, then hold his shoulders to steady yourself as you continue bouncing on his cock, relishing the feeling of his skin without his infinity. You’re finally touching him, and it feels incredible.
He notices the way your hands can’t get enough of him, and he smirks up at you, his cerulean eyes light with amusement. “So much better than staring, hm? You’re— Mmm…” He groans pleasurably when you cut off his words by kissing him again.
“Shut up,” you sharply tell him in between kisses. “You talk too fucking much.”
“And you love it. You’re fucking soaked,” he retorts, and when he notices your movements begin to slow, he readjusts his grip on your waists and assists you, moving you up and down on his cock. Your mouth falls open when he changes the pace, fucking you a bit faster. “And close, too,” he notes, smiling when your pussy begins to twitch around his cock. “You’re squeezing me so tight. Gonna cum for me?”
You nod rapidly, and he brings one hand to where your bodies are joined together and begins rubbing your clit to get you to finish faster. You cry out as you climax, and your orgasm immediately triggers his. Satoru curses, and you feel his cock spasm as his cum spills deep within you. Heat floods your face at the feeling. It’s the first time anyone’s ever cum inside of you before, and you like it. A lot. You relax against him, and he wraps his arms around you, his cock still inside of you. Both of you stay like that as you and him catch your breath.
Once you’re ready, you finally lift yourself off of his cock, both of you lightly gasping and hissing at the sensitivity. You feel his warm cum begin to drip out. There’s so much of it.
“You should work late more often,” Satoru jokes lightly to break the silence, and you look at the sorcerer. He’s staring up at you, smirking, his white hair messy and his eyes soft. “I like how loud you are.”
You scoff and roll your eyes, but your heart pounds at his shameless confession. You swipe his phone up from your desk and wave it in front of him. “And you should stop watching porn at work.”
“I don’t watch. I like to imagine. I pick a video where the pornstar’s moans are similar to what I imagined what you’d sound like, then go from there,” he says simply.
Your eyes widen in shock. “Wait—you’ve been imagining me?”
“For a while, yeah,” he replies, tapping your thighs once to gesture that he’s moving, and you stand up next to his desk so he can do so. He also stands up, and that’s when you notice that he’s still hard. “You sound way sexier than I imagined,” he tells you. “Everything about you is way better than I imagined.”
He stands behind you, slightly leaning forward and placing one of his hands on the desk in front of you. His other hand gently lands on your waist. “Like I said earlier, it’s just us here, and I’m nowhere near done making you scream,” he whispers in your ear. “Bend over.”

I filled an entire page of my sketchbook with Nori!
I love them sm!!! This has to be one of my favorite of your rewrites, I seriously did not think I could actually care abt PJ Masks past the age of 6 but now I'm obsessed 😭
On another note, just a random thing I'm curious about, before breaking off from GunnTech, did the main three basically live at the facility since they were initiated? I guess they do from what I’ve seen, but I was just wondering if they ever had to go to like. School or something, when they're not training. And if they ever got to see their family again (though I doubt both the kids and their family would want to lol)
And one more thing, totally important and necessary to ask, how does Nori acquire the kids? (..that doesnt sound right)
Like does he break in to the facility from time to time or did they just bring them with him when they left GunnTech or does he take them in when he finds them just out and about??
NORI… OUR FAVOURITE PROBLEM! The way you draw eyes scratches my brain /positive.
I think the idea is that everyone does live at GunnTech, they have rooms and go to school. GunnTech also has a prison somewhere (like, sci fi, clean, sterile white prison, a glass front-wall for cells instead of bars, and that’s where everyone gets put in Season 4. But, before that, when the main three villains (or at least, just Luna and Nori) escaped, it wasn’t totally locked down so they had to walk out suspiciously/tell the security guards reasons (you need to give reasons when leaving GunnTech so, “I’m hanging out with a friend” comes with ‘who is the friend + give us contact details’) and then probably remove a tracker (unsure as to whether the wristbands are the trackers or the trackers are put into their chest implants), and try to avoid getting caught for the rest of the time (until season 3-4 ofc). The main story probably begins with the three MCs trying to find them and bring them back. Romeo’s wanted cause he stole tech, though, he’s not a mutant.
Nori risks his life basically (not literally but he risks huge punishment) by constantly breaking into the facility to get out new kids. Kids who haven’t yet been mutated all have one room (several large rooms for many kids’ bunk beds basically, not literally one big room 😭) and he goes in and saves one or two each time. Some kids don’t *want* to come with him, thinking this is a cool superhero opportunity. He has an easier time helping kids who are scared and having second thoughts. He’s very gentle.
Also reminder that Nori had their finger prints burned off yipeeee. He’s not letting that happen to the others. (It doesn’t happen to every kid, but GunnTech probably has categories (like, heroes: animals, space, spies, drivers, healers?) and if you’re in the (name is a work in progress) Spies Category (stealth category?) like Nori, you get your finger prints burned off.
Daisy is canonically one of the only two Ninjalino names we know! I might make her into a small side character so that art isn’t 100% solid but eh!
Also he can’t really just “take them back to their parents”. If you’re a child at GunnTech, your parents either gave you away for money or you’re an orphan.
Nori’s usually a sassy ‘problem’ but they have their really serious and gentle moments.

Just a random thought about how Alastor and Vox must’ve been really good friends before everything fell apart. Because Alastor knows how to make a video ad, he knows how to set things up for a movie/video shoot, things that had nothing to do with his medium, that he probably learned how to do because of Vox, because he was willing to try and learn from or for Vox. And Vox literally welcomes Alastor back home when he finds out he’s returned, has literally counted the years Alastor’s been missing when no one else seemed to know, and fashioned his clothing style to match Alastor’s (assuming it’s not just a case of everyone gets a pinstripe suit!), uses the same techniques Alastor taught Charlie about how smiling can be a tool to keep you ahead of the game.
And how it all fell apart and it wasn’t just Vox that was hurt in the process. Because you can’t tell me the man who hates TVs and modern tech due to its association with Vox doesn’t feel anything for what friendship they had and lost. Who snarls at the mere sight of him on a screen (admittedly while also dissing Alastor), who went straight back to his radio tower to diss Vox right back (and absolutely crush him lol), before threatening him against taking action, privately, twice. Alastor’s just better at hiding how much it’s affected him, and doesn’t let the bitterness of what used to be consume his every waking thought.
And maybe that’s the difference between how they view their old relationship and how the fandom seems to view it. Alastor’s upset about it, sure. He’s bitter now about Vox and everything Vox represents because he’s a past friendship that failed, but he’s also moved on with his life. Vox hasn’t. Vox still obsesses over Alastor, in the way he dresses, the way he talks, how he presents himself. It’s all reminiscent of Alastor. And when he finds out Alastor’s returned, the first thing he does is draw attention to how Alastor’s back! Talk in a roundabout way about how much he’s missed him! Has wondered where he’s been? Sends a spy into the hotel to, well, spy on Alastor! And when that doesn’t work, Vox continues to stalk Alastor through his drones instead. (And then gets off on seeing Alastor get beat up.)
Vox very much has not moved on from whatever friendship they’d had before. He hasn’t moved on from Alastor. (Or from his heavily implied obsessive crush).
We don’t know what happened between them, aside that it’s complicated and sad, that they were friends, and now they’re very much not, and that maybe part of the reason why is because Alastor rejected Vox’s request to join his team (upend his entire life to partner with Vox, assuming Alastor always worked solo and what the Vees currently have is what Vox had wanted with Alastor with his request). We can assume maybe part of why they fell apart was because Vox wanted something more from his relationship with Alastor, something Alastor could not and did not want to give him. Or maybe they just grew apart, grew distant. Vox constantly upgrading and changing and keeping up with the newest trends, chasing whatever new Thing that’ll keep him relevant, while Alastor remained set in his ways because he’s not looking for the approval of the masses.
Anyways, all this to say: when I, and I assume most other OneWayBroadcast fans talk about one-sided radiostatic, it is specifically about how Vox has a one-sided romantic/sexual attraction/crush on Alastor, that Alastor does not return, that has now turned into a one-sided obsession over Alastor. Not that their entire friendship was completely one-sided. I think saying that Vox was the only one who was ever invested in their relationship is a rather bad faith interpretation of Alastor’s character, but also does not do their relationship justice at all. It minimizes Vox’s responsibility in the fallout of their friendship, and puts the blame only on Alastor. It takes away all the juicy complexities of Vox’s character, how he’s bad person who’s done and is doing bad things, and paints him as an innocent victim to “Alastor’s manipulation”.
That’s not to say Alastor was completely innocent in the fallout either. But I hear a lot more about how the fandom woobifies Vox in their relationship than I do Alastor.

I had an idea to redesign vox because I didn't love that a character obsessed with modernization would wear a top hat and bowtie. then after a brief stint into madness where I read my partner's historic costuming textbook I drew.... all this.
(side note: the idea of vox being a trans man who transitioned AFTER death was super compelling and absolutely inspired by @prince-liest so while this is not direct fanart of their series I wanted to give a shoutout anyway!!!)
okay some TRULY unhinged rambling about historic costume below the cut YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
1950s: for this design I very much did not want to go to the typical a-line housewife look, because I feel that is unfitting for vox's character. instead I went for a more business look, but there is still a level of femininity that he would have been expected to perform. i wanted to express his discomfort with that through the pose and expression, though at the time he wouldn't necessarily have a framework for why he hated it
1960s: this one was very fun. i loved the idea of vox beginning to eschew some of the expected feminine presentation, and he no longer wears makeup, jewelry, or hose (though its hard to tell in black & white); however, he's kind of at war with himself in this time period. he's obsessed with seeming perfect and having a respectable image, so he would not go in for the counter-culture movements that were so big in the 60s. he's still kind of riding those coattails though, pushing those boundaries while still not acknowledging his queerness.
1970s: to me, it was very important that the gender hit as he entered the world in color. in my mind the gender euphoria is physically manifested in a wizard of oz situation - he can become who he always has been. anyway, gender aside, I think it was very important to me personally that he wore an ascot. it was for my mental health.
1980s: I wanted the 1980s to be the period where he began to gain some power and notoriety because of the de-regulation of television during this period to allow more ads, mirroring real-world history. I think if the 70s were when vox gained some real confidence, the 80s are when he got an Ego (tm). "business casual" also began to become more acceptable in this time period, and the t-shirt/suit jacket combo was very important for me to include, as to me it epitomizes the commercialism and machismo of the 80s.
1990s: this was actually the decade I was the most nervous to design, and yet I think it turned out the best? the 90s are known for grunge, which I think is NOT vox's style at all. I decided instead to lean hard into the yuppie look, which I know is more associated with the 80s but was definitely still a thing in the 90s. I also allowed a little hip-hop influence in the form of a gold chain from val, which is not something I think vox would ever pick on his own.
2000s: if the 90s were the decade I was worried about and turned out great, the 2000s are the decade I thought I had down SO GOOD and then totally floundered in execution. I still love the bubble-mac inspired head, and I tried to make his clothes as "round" as possible. I also like that this is the time where his saturation got cranked. however, I don't know if I'm in love with the vest and super bright sneakers, because again, looking back on it, he kind of looks like he works at a movie theater or best buy or some shit lol,,,
2010s: I think it's telling that this is by far the closest to his canon design (2014 tumblr lookin ass). I really wanted to pull from that hipster tech bro era, but unfortunately that aesthetic has a veneration for "retro" which again, is not fitting for vox. I still think he would wear the bowtie during this time because, well... he sure does in the show!
2020s: this was fun because I had an excuse to pull from haute couture design rather than street fashion because of the introduction of velvette into his life. I truly do not think velvette would let vox and val walk around in the outfits that they do because it would be an actual embarrassment LMAO. for this, I wanted his decorative "robes" to be evocative of the time he depicted himself as a priest AND of a cape/robe of an emperor. he does think of himself as that bitch, after all.

You and Spencer had kept your relationship a secret from his friends for a couple of months when you started dating but the secrecy didn’t last long because of your large following on social media.
While your fans couldn’t tell who Spencer was based on the pictures you had posted, his friends specifically Penelope and Elle who were apparently pretty big fans of yours didn’t take long to figure out that you were Spencer’s secret girlfriend and he was their favourite influencers mystery boyfriend.
You still hadn’t posted anything with Spencer’s face in or tagged him in anything partly because he only made an Instagram account solely to look at your pictures and follow a select few members of the BAU team.
When you met Spencer it wasn’t exactly a coincidence, you had seen Elle’s Instagram come up on your explore page before, and after a quick look at her feed, you’d seen a picture of Spencer at a coffee shop you visited occasionally.
You became a regular at that coffee shop, the green tea and strawberry matcha were both exceptionally nice and seeing the brown puppy-eyed FBI agent was a bonus of the trips.
After realising, that despite you both locking eyes each time you saw each other, he wasn’t going to be the one that made the first move. You sat at his table one day while he was lost in a sudoku puzzle. Now you had been dating for close to three years, and neither of you could be happier.
“Oh my god!” Penelope shrieked from her tech den, “Elle!”
Elle rounded the corner standing in the doorway hand in hand with JJ, “What is it? It’s only,” Elle looked down at her watch, “8:25 in the morning.”
“Did you see her post!” Penelope still spoke at a high volume that really wasn’t needed for this early in the morning.
“Whose?” JJ asked her eyebrows knitted together.
“Y/N’s! Look,” Penelope ushered them in with the motion of her hand signalling for them to come closer.
On the screen in front of her was your most recent Instagram post.

Elle covered her mouth with her hands after she let out a small gasp.
“No way! That’s great,” JJ exclaimed happily.
“He’s going to be the best dad!” Penelope started, “And obviously she’s going to be the best mom.”
“Spence is so great with kids,” Elle smiled widely.
“He’s great with Henry, Micheal and Isabelle,” JJ said quickly getting up a picture from a day when Spencer babysat for her and Elle.
“And Jack,” Elle added.
When they heard Spencer’s voice coming from the bullpen they were quick to call him in at the same time.
“Ladies,” Spencer said when he reached the doorway with a coffee in his hand.
“When were you going to tell us!” Penelope shouted at him.
“Tell you what?” Spencer said flustered trying not to let his face show that he had a secret.
“That Y/N is pregnant, that you’re going to be a dad?” Elle said.
“How did you know?” Spencer asked rubbing the back of his neck.
“Instagram duh,” Penelope rolled her eyes.
Spencer groaned, “She was supposed to mute you, apparently that’s something on Instagram. We had something planned.”
“Oh,” Elle frowned slightly.
“I’m sorry for ruining it,” Penelope pouted.
“There’s a gathering at our place on Friday, Please act surprised when she tells you and please stop anyone else from finding out,” Spencer pleaded with her.
“On it,” Penelope said as she started taping at her keyboard at the speed of light.
Luckily Friday came with no one else finding out. Everyone was at yours and Spencer’s apartment, you had decided that while you both had enough money you wanted to wait until you were engaged before buying a house, the apartment was large enough for three by all means.
Spencer had his arms wrapped around your waist and his hands rested on your stomach almost immediately after you had revealed the news to his co-workers.
They were all delighted that you were pregnant although you could tell by Penelope’s not-so-ecstatic reaction that she already knew, that’s when you remembered you forgot to mute them from your Instagram.
“Baby I messed up,” You turned and pouted at Spencer.
“What’s wrong angel?” Spencer asked moving one of his hands to play with the ends of your hair.
“I didn’t mute them from my Instagram, they already knew. I should have just waited to tell people I ruined it,” You frowned with tears in your eyes. It really wasn’t as big a deal as you were making it to be right now but it was most likely the hormones.
“It’s okay darling,” Spencer kissed the top of your head, “I’ll admit, I knew Penelope, Elle and JJ knew but I promise they were the only ones and I made sure no one else found out.”
“Why didn't you tell me they knew!” You folded your arms.
“Because I knew how excited you were about surprising everyone and I didn’t want to ruin that for you.”
You groaned, “You’re such a good boyfriend I can’t even be mad.”
“Well thank goodness because I don’t want you to be mad at me,” Spencer laughed, his hands returning to your stomach.
“You can’t even tell in most clothes yet,” You stated.
“That’s true but I know our baby is there.”
Penelope came skipping toward you both, “Stop hogging her Spencer, we need girl time.”
“I’m just taking care of her,” Spencer looked into your eyes with love.
“Boring, you can do that later we need to gossip,” Penelope took your hand and dragged you towards the kitchen where Elle was.
As soon as the door was closed Penelope started playing rapid fire with her questions, “When are you and Spencer getting married? Do you want a boy or a girl? Oh, who cares either it will be gorgeous. Ooo when are you telling your fans who Spencer is?”
“Okay,” You laugh, “What happened to one question at a time?”
“You’ll have to excuse her she’s a little crazy,” Elle laughed pulling you into a hug, “Congratulations.”
“Thank you, um the questions so… I’m not sure we will get married when we are ready, I would love a daughter of course but I would also love to have a boy. Spencer thinks it’s a girl based on my bump. I don’t have a plan on telling my fans who Spence is I don’t think it’s important and as you both already know keeping a low profile is important for FBI agents.”
Elle nods, “All valid points, I don’t think Spencer would want to be on social media like that.”
“You’re right,” Penelope said.
You nodded picking up a piece of chocolate cake from the tray on the counter.
“You’re going to be the best and hottest parents ever,” Penelope squealed.
“Thank you,” You said sitting down on one of the seats at the breakfast bar, “I’m so tired.”
“Have you not been sleeping well?” Elle asked concerned.
“I get a little nausea at night and it’s definitely worse when I’m worrying about Spence too I’m just thankful he has been teaching and hasn’t gone on as many cases lately.”
Elle frowned and rubbed your back, “I get it, it’s a demanding job but if you speak to Spencer I’m sure he’ll think of something, like doing more case files at home instead.”
“I’m going to get Spencer,” Penelope said.
“No you don’t have to,” You started but by the time you finished the words Penelope had left the kitchen.
Penelope came back into the kitchen with Spencer following behind her with a worried look covering his face making the wrinkles in his forehead more prominent.
“What’s wrong darling?” He asked.
“I’m just tired.”
“You need to rest I’ll wrap things up and then we will rest together sweetheart. How does that sound?” Spencer kissed your head.
“It sounds good but I feel bad they haven’t been here long and they are your friends,” you frowned.
“Honey, I don’t care if they had only just walked through the door, if you’re not up to it they can leave,” He rubbed your back lovingly.
“I just want hugs,” You whispered but loud enough for him to hear and the two women in the room to go ‘Awww.’
“Come here,” Spencer helped you up from the chair and instantly wrapped his arms around you.
“I need to do my Instagram post,” You groaned into his neck as you looked at the clock on the kitchen wall.
“Let’s sit on the sofa, we can choose some pictures together,” He locked his fingers with yours as you walked into the living room together.
JJ spotted Elle across the room and made her way over to her wife, “She looks exhausted.”
“She is, she feels bad about everyone having to leave though,” Elle said wrapping her arms around JJ’s waist.
You rested your head on Spencer’s shoulder as you scrolled through your camera roll.
“How about that one, you look gorgeous,” Spencer kissed the side of your head before his phone dinged with a message. He took his phone out of his pocket and read the message from JJ that said ‘Elle and I will start asking people to leave :)’ Spencer smiled and liked the message and put it away before you could see.
“Hm, maybe. I want one of us though.”
“I think some of us are going to head out now, we have the kids to pick up,” JJ told the pair after making her way around the small group of people there.
“Are you sure?” You asked.
“Yeah, we can all hang out another day, and get some rest. I’ll send you some pictures of Isabella at her school show tonight,” JJ leaned down and hugged you.
“Oh please do!” You exclaimed, “Bye guys, I hope you had fun, sorry I wasn’t much fun to be around.”
Elle kissed the top of your head, “You were fine, we understand, have a nap.”
“It was still fun, you’re always fun, we love you guys,” Penelope said heading towards the door with Derek after he said goodbye to you and Spencer.
——————
“Have you chosen the pictures yet honey?” Spencer asked bringing two cups of peppermint tea into the living room.
“Yep and posted, I think you’ll like them,” You smiled, snuggling closer to him as he picked up his phone to look at your post.

“Do you ever read the comments?” He asked after leaving his own comment on the post.
“Sometimes, I like a few of the comments but people can be mean and there’s always people speculating who you are.”
“You know you can mention me, I wouldn’t mind. My account is private and I’d never have my full name on there so it’s mostly safe,” Spencer looked at a couple of comments with his phone in one hand and his other hand rested on your stomach.
“Really?” You asked excitedly already picking up your phone to tag him in the picture.
Spencer nodded, giving you a soft kiss on your lips, “I want everyone to know you’re mine.”

big long kamimura loredrop that i sent to my tetro staff two years ago. obvious spoilers and trigger warning for a lot of stuff. not for the weak of heart. also forgive the very casual tone this is written in i was sending it to my STAFF!! MY FRIENDS!! it has not been curated for public release lol
KAMIMURA KAZUTOSHI. WOW. LOTS TO UNPACK HERE. so kamimura was born as a very sickly kid. his parents were initially planning to have two kids, but when kamimura was born with very particular needs, they decided it would be better to dedicate their full time and attention to just one kid. so thats what they did! kamimura was born with a few conditions that made his childhood a bit rougher, the main of which being hemophilia, an (at the time) unidentified autoimmune disease and a few lesions on his brain. not ideal! so he was in and out of the hospital a lot as a kid, something that was very scary for him at the time, but his parents were very very supportive and loving during this time. they would be at the hospital with him every single time he had to be there (obvs cuz he was a tiny baby boy) and his mom would not go home until he was discharged. she would always be there telling him stories and playing games with him and doing her best to make the experience as comfortable as possible for him. so that made it less scary!
kamimura had a very good support system and it made him a very happy and social kid! he grew up very outgoing and playful and eager and close with his family. his dad was a busy guy who worked in tech, so while he was usually at work, his mom worked from home as a copy editor, so he spent a lot of time with her. as he started to get a little older (7-8), a few more comorbidities and diagnoses started popping up - chronic fatigue, crohns, some vision problems, muscle issues, things that made his life a lot more difficult and worried his parents because he was getting bad fast. this meant a lot more time in the hospital for baby kamimura which is very unfortunate for him. eventually he gets put on a new balance of medications/treatments and his family keeps doing their best because goddamnit their kid should get to be a happy kid! which he is! hes a very happy kid! hes just also a kid with a LOT of medical issues
SO THEN WE HIT AGE NINE. kamimuras mother is home alone with him when a close family friend drops by. hes someone kamimura knows very well - comes to all their parties, visits often, etc etc. but he was also someone who had very strong feelings towards kamimuras mom. he had confessed to her multiple times and obviously she had said no because she is married with a child and was not interested at all. except this time hes completely fed up with it. she says no, he gets aggressive and violent and tries to overpower her. she fights back, he panics and stabs her. a lot. repeatedly. over and over and over. so the kitchen is an absolute bloodbath. not good! a few minutes into this, kamimuras dad gets home from work and is very quickly added to the body count. family friend runs, and about ten minutes later, kamimura gets home from school.
so now this nine year old boy has walked in on his parents mutilated bodies lying in a sea of blood on the kitchen floor. his mind basically shuts down. he cannot even begin to process the ways in which his entire world has just come crumbling down. he goes upstairs to his room, closes the door, and proceeds to stay there for two days straight. if he can just stay in his room and not go outside, no matter what he saw, no matter what he smells, he can pretend that everything is fine and theres nothing downstairs.
after two days of this, kamimura's dad's work calls for a wellness check. a wellness check is performed! EVERYTHING IS NOT WELL. the police find kamimura, remove him from the house and into the system he goes. pretty soon he ends up living with his moms sister, who isnt a mean person or anything, but she never wanted kids and shes just lost her sister and shes going through a lot so she never really connects with kamimura. she feeds him and houses him and does her best, but hes completely shut off emotionally and very traumatized and wants nothing to do with this new life thats been put on him so he mostly ignores her and just goes through the beats of life.
from this point on, he has no friends. he doesnt get close to anyone. he doesnt try to. he shuts himself off, keeps to himself and gets picked on a bit because of it. hes outcast at school pretty quickly and that does not do much to help his mental health. it doesnt help that his PHYSICAL health is still deteriorating pretty fast and hes now living with somebody that has NO experience in taking care of his medical needs. hes still in the hospital all the time, but now hes alone and its quiet and hes scared. he hates hospitals. he hates going to the hospital so so so so much because hospitals are scary and it only serves to drive home the complete lack of his mom existing that is haunting him every day. it doesnt help that hiding out in a corpse house for two days has given him a deep, DEEP fear of anything dirty or putrid in the way that his parents' crime scene was. this evolves into a pretty bad case of germophobia that makes him hate hospitals even more because theyre disgusting infected places where people go to die and rot. bad.
but life continues! so when he turns 14, kamimura goes to high school for the first time! its also around this time that he finally dyes his hair - his black hair makes him look exactly like his mom and he cant handle seeing that every time he looks in the mirror, so blue it is! because blue does not look like either of his parents and now he doesnt have to fking see their faces every single time he looks at himself. yay! so he enters high school, his mental health is tanking, his physical health is tanking and everything is bad. high school is equally bad because hes still getting bullied and he feels sick all the time and school is stressful and he is completely lacking in socialization. so at age 14, kamimura tries to kill himself for the first time. it does not work. he goes to the hospital and very hastily explains it to his aunt as having simply fucked up his own medication and says it was all an accident because fuuuuck he does NOT want to be institutionalized. that would suck. and luckily this excuse works and he's back out in the world soon after. yay?
anyway life goes on! so kamimura goes back to school. except weirdly enough, he actually starts talking to another person. this person is named isao kamei and he is a boy in kamimuras grade! hes nice and cool and hangs out with kamimura and likes kamimuras dumb blue hair and likes all the things kamimura likes (scary movies. breaking random shit behind the school after class. yknow) so the two hit it off pretty quickly and soon kamimura has a best friend. except, uh oh, maybe hes more than a best friend?? kamimura starts realizing that hes got feelings for isao and panics because he does not need this complication ruining his one and only friendship. kamimura has had severe severe trust issues for years now and has finally let himself get close to another person again and he CANNOT LOSE THAT. but isao is a good guy, and theyre close, and kamimura is starting to think that isao feels the same way about him so maybe hed be cool about it. it goes against every instinct he has spent the past five years cultivating, but he finally works up the nerve and admits to isao how he feels about him.
IT GOES BADLY. SO BADLY. isao is uncomfortable and frankly kind of disgusted and pulls back HARD. he basically distances himself from kamimura forever and word very very quickly spreads (starting from isao) that kamimura is gay and that he asked out isao, something that absolutely quadruples the amount of bullying he is receiving. so a few days later, kamimura tries to kill himself for the second time. once again it does not go well. he gets very very very sick, but still wakes up in the end and is absolutely miserable and furious about it. his awful awful awful life continues to march on as always and hes back at school pretty soon after that! he continues getting relentlessly bullied, his health continues to deteriorate, and finally during one of his numerous numerous hospital visits he gets hit with two fun new terms: multiple sclerosis and myasthenia gravis. these are the two things that produce the vast majority of his symptoms. so at the very least he now has a few words to label himself with, but hes not really that thrilled about it either way. kamimura is someone with a lot of internalized ableism and resentment towards his own body. he sees it as the reason his life sucks and the reason he gets bullied and the reason he cant live like other people can. he hates himself, and that makes him hate himself even more because his parents always made such a big deal about telling him how much they loved him and how much he should love himself, so he feels like hes betraying them by absolutely loathing himself and his body.
so at sixteen, he tells his aunt he wants to move out. they arent close and he just wants to be on his own and honestly shes on board with this because she never wanted kids and shes ready to go back to her life. so out the door he goes! hes got his own apartment now, which means theres nobody to make him get out of bed or shower or eat or go to school. so he stops doing all of those things, which makes his health deteriorate faster and makes him even more miserable. so at age sixteen, kamimura makes a third attempt on his life. he learned his lesson last time and ups the dosage hard. except he cant keep it down because he hasnt been eating anything for like two weeks and his stomach just physically cannot handle the amount of medication hes ingesting. so this one fails too. but life goes on and kamimura needs to pay rent! his landlord thinks he is strange and concerning and wants to help him so he manages to get kamimura an apprenticeship with a man named ryōichi katō, a very experienced crime scene cleaner! kamimura EXCELS in this field. hes able to shut off his emotions around blood and viscera - his brain just completely blocks out the horror of it, which is almost a coping mechanism i suppose - but the point is that hes great at it. he starts working full time and it pays the bills well enough so hes got nothing to complain about quite frankly.
except his life still sucks. hes alone. hes sick. he hates himself. everything is bad bad bad bad bad. so at a particularly bad mental low at age seventeen, kamimura makes a fourth attempt on his life. this one has GOT to work because he has been honing this method for years now and SURELY he has worked out the kinks by this point yes? so he downs a shitton of pills, washes it down with cheap booze and passes out. then he wakes up in the Fujioka Memorial High School Basement Laundry Room and now we are here

gym partners
a/n: this was a hot hot hot request! i hope you gojhoes love it as much as i do <3
pairing: satoru gojo x fem!reader
cw: pining lol, pervy gojo, scheming gojo, blowjob, mentions of oral fem receiving.
wc: 4.3
He knew exactly what he was doing. Inviting you over to work out in his private home gym after hearing you complain about the facility you had been attending since graduation. Satoru Gojo wasn’t subtle in the slightest, you were convinced he didn’t know what that meant. He’s been shamelessly flirting with you since your first meeting all those years ago in the classrooms of Jujutsu Tech, and it seemed graduating from school wouldn’t stop him from trying to impress you out of your pants. Maybe it was because you were so nice to him, never faulting him for his arrogance or annoying tendencies. It didn’t hurt that you were ridiculously beautiful, and your techniques were truly awe-inspiring. Maybe it was because despite all this, you played hard to get with him for some reason.
It was fate that made you both teachers at the same school you used to attend, for it gave him ample opportunity to pester you more. He overheard you telling Shoko about the athletic facilities being inadequate and the amount of male attention that you earned. He wasn’t so fond of the latter statement, though he knew it to be true. You were a total smokeshow, any man would be winning the lottery to cart you around on his arm, the perfect duo of insane talent and looks. He almost thinks it’s unfair until he considers that he himself is also the same way, selfishly enough. Though ever since that day, he can’t help but let his brain go wild thinking of all the ways he could make you his in his home gym, if only you’d jump on the opportunity.
Your relationship with Satoru was…complex at best. You had been friends and training partners since you met in your first year at Jujutsu Tech, seemingly the only person other than Suguru Geto who could not only withstand–but enjoy–his presence. And then Suguru was gone, so it left you as all he had. Boy was he determined to prove it, to keep you as his person for life. He was the closest thing to a friend you had, aside from Shoko now that you’ve started teaching.
There was definitely something more to the connection, at least you thought. Banter was seamless, working together on missions only showed the sorcerer world the best team imaginable, and he tirelessly worked to spend more time with you. You were only apprehensive because of your own massive crush on him. It may seem counterintuitive, especially if you think he could like you too, but you kept convincing yourself that it was your own brain playing tricks on you, making you see more to the story when there really wasn’t. He was probably trying to be friendly with you, and as badly as you wished you could have that, you know you could never settle for it. You would always selfishly desire him in more ways, not that you’re the only one. You know every man, woman, and everyone in between or outside of those definitions did a double take anytime he walked by. Anyone who’s anyone wanted him, and you would never be able to blame them. So you shot him down at every invitation to spend time together one on one, avoiding him anytime you knew that you would be alone.
So imagine your surprise when he knocks on the door of your classroom and slides inside before you can respond, just the two of you. Alone. With Satoru Gojo. You look up from your papers, your focused gaze meeting the familiar, friendly, and fiery blue gaze of the one and only strongest man alive, even with the blindfold obscuring your view of him. He grins, and you look back down at the stack of History of Jujutsu Technique assignments. He chuckles, pulling a wooden chair away from a desk and dragging it behind him as he struts to your table. The sounds of the wooden legs screech along the tile floor until you can detect his frame towering over your desk, feeling his snarky eyes burning holes into your head.
“Miss Y/N! Long time no talk. If I didn’t know any better–” He says, the amusement in his voice evident as he spins the chair around to straddle, leaning his lanky arms over the back. His blindfold kept the emotion in his eyes guarded, but his smile was bright white–and clearly teasing you. “I would think that you were avoiding your dear old pal, Satoru!”
You hum in fake confusion, looking up at him with a furrowed brow. “Avoiding you? Oh no, never. I’ve just been so busy lately. All these papers, decorating the apartment, I got a cat recently and I–”
“Started going to the gym, a little birdie named Shoko told me. She says you hate the one you go to, though. How unfortunate.” His features are as smug as ever, and you know instantly that Shoko didn’t tell him a thing. “I imagine she told me out of the kindness of her heart, for our dear friend knows that I happen to have a state of the art, top notch, extremely expensive, home gym!”
You narrow your gaze up at him. You may not be able to see his eyes through the blindfold, but you knew that he could see yours. He could see everything about you, except for emotions, thankfully. “Shoko did not tell you that I started working out.”
“No, she didn’t!” He admits without shame, leaning forward on his propped up hand, his smile unfaltering. “I just happened to overhear, but the fact remains! I can help.”
“I…work out pretty early, you know our schedule, I just don’t think I could impose.” You smile at him politely, shifting your weight in your seat. He was bringing you dangerously close to revealing the truth. You yearned for him so bad, he had to feel it. Knowing Satoru, you wouldn’t put that past him. An invitation to come to his home every day and work out was nearly too good to pass up, yet you knew that if you jumped at the chance, you wouldn’t be able to deny yourself from crossing other boundaries as well.
He tilts his head at your reasoning, his jaw tightening and the corners of his mouth twitching. “So do I, like you said, Our schedule. Really, it’s no trouble! I’m sure you’d feel safer in my home, anyway. No pervs, except for me of course.” He chuckles so boisterously that you almost think he’s genuinely joking. You start to nervously chuckle with him when he leans his chest against the chair, his face sneaking closer to yours. “I’ll even get us breakfast on the way to school. C’mon, Y/N…that’s an offer too good to refuse.”
So you don’t. You find yourself driving to Satoru’s ridiculously expensive penthouse in Tokyo on a Tuesday morning, in your best workout attire and a nervous fluttering heart. You had to admit yourself at the gate via pin, one that he bestowed upon you the other day in your classroom. The house sat atop a secluded hill, and even from the bottom of the driveway, you could see a bright light shining in these early hours of the morning. It seems that he wasn’t lying, he really did work out early. To most, it may seem a bit extraneous to work out on top of training and running missions alongside being a teacher, but it was something that cleared your head in the mornings and allowed you to take some peace in your day. Though it seemed that idea was far abandoned. You park your car and stare at the expensive home. You knew the Gojo heir was loaded, but you didn’t know it was to this extent. He told you to just come in when you arrived, so you did, even though the house was shrouded in darkness, you squinted to let your eyes adjust, gasping when the light is flicked on all of a sudden, revealing a shirtless and blindfold-less Satoru Gojo leaning against the wall at the top of the stairs. He was grinning, beefy arms folded across his well defined chest, all enticing your eyes to trail downward. You could only hope your eyes didn’t bulge from your head or that you were openly drooling at the sight of his carved out abdomen, easily sixteen indents rippling through his midsection. You had to shift your weight, thighs rubbing together without even a word.
His grin grows and his eyes shine brightly, the chlorinated-pool gaze of his zeroing in on your skimpy little outfit. Your sports bra barely contained your chest, and by the way those yoga pants got sucked into your ass…you weren’t wearing any underwear. He licked his bottom lip, pointing behind him with his thumbs. “Good morning, Y/N! Gym’s this way, I’ve been waiting for you to get started.”
“Good morning Satoru.” You gulp, approaching the staircase. You keep your eyes trained on the steps, unable to look at him for too long. He stifles his chuckle as you grow closer to him, his form partially blocking your way on the steps. He likes to make you nervous, so he doesn’t move out of your way. He stands his ground, humming excitedly when your bare skin brushes against his.
“Oh Y/N~” He coos seductively, enjoying the blush that creeps up your neck and colors your ears. “Right this way. What type of workouts do you like? We can do anything! Yoga, weight training, cardio, you name it, sweet lady.” He says, the upbeat tone of his voice making you feel like he knew something that you didn’t. He shows you into the room that was already well lit. Your eyes do bulge from your head this time, his home gym was the size of your entire home. He snickers at your reaction, strolling ahead of you and sitting on a bench press chair. He holds his arms out, as if telling you to behold the beauty. “Welcome to the Gojo Dojo.” He jokes.
You snort a little, nodding as you step into the room. “You know this is bigger than most people’s houses, right?” You ask indignantly, letting your bag fall from your shoulder and into the floor as you survey all the equipment, weights, and mats Satoru had at his disposal.
He nods proudly. “It can’t be helped, really. I give to charities!”
You giggle at his defense, shaking your head as you make your way over to a few stretching mats spread out for the two of you. He watches you of course, wondering if you were impressed by his facilities. He can’t help but admire your physique as you set your water bottle down. He hadn’t ever been so enamored before, not even when he really tried to be into other people just to stop thinking of you. You were perfect. Mind, body, and spirit. You really didn’t need to work out at all, and he certainly hoped you weren’t doing it to lose any weight…my god you were absolutely delici—
“Satoru? Did you hear me?” You ask, waving your hand in front of his face with a soft laugh.
He shakes his head. “No, I was fantasizing about how good you look.” He admits without shame, blinking his focus back to your looming frame in front of him. Even when he was sitting, you were only a few inches taller. He lets his eyes skirt over your frame, smirking without pause.
Your cheeks heat up, and you’re sure you just didn’t hear him correctly. “R-right. I was thinking I’d do some stretches, then work my core. What are you gonna do?”
He wants to say something else clever to fluster you further, but he decides to take the passive route. You should be able to feel how bad he wants you at this point, his incessant attempts to get you alone, the way he nags you at work and blows your phone up with memes and reddit posts he wanted your opinion on should all be enough aside from his very obvious flirting. Anyone else would have given up, taking you for not being interested, but Satoru knew you better than anyone. He knew that if you weren’t interested in him, you’d say so. You wouldn’t just widen your eyes and brush him off, you must think he’s joking.
Which is why he’s wanted to get you alone for so long. If only he had some one on one time with you, then he could be as bold and vulnerable as he may need to be to win you over. That would come later, for now, he had to let you complete your workout. He nods at your agenda, thinking of the next step in his own routine.
“Chest. Watch and weep.” He winks, and you quickly turn your back to him to go to your mat. He was too much for you, as anticipated. You could feel your body warm, and you knew he would see it if you turned around. What made you think you could make it through a workout session with Satoru when you could hardly stomach him being in your classroom with no supervision? He just chuckles at you. Maybe his affection was just a bit overwhelming for you, you couldn’t discern if he was messing with you or not, and didn’t want to embarrass yourself in any event. He supposes he could understand, if only you weren’t so stupid. You were the only person he held on a pedestal, the fact that you couldn’t understand how much you meant to him at this point was bordering on clinical insanity.
He stands up to put his weights on the barbell, not bothering to conceal his watching you. You could feel it, but you figured it would be more embarrassing to stop and confront him over it. So you just continue, folding in half at the hips to touch your toes. He sighs at the sight of your round ass, your poor excuse of a sports bra nearly betraying you here, your fat tits almost spilling out into the floor. He packs the 45 pound plates on, four on each side, clearing his throat loudly. He doesn’t miss the way your head snaps up, shyly averting your gaze once you realize he set a trap for you.
You lay on the mat, you start with some leg raises, tilting your head back far enough to watch Satoru lay back on the bench. He hums to himself, feeling along the bar for his best grip. Once he’s satisfied, he lifts the 405 pounds without any of the effort you’d expect to see from such a heavy weight. He hardly even grunts, though you notice the sweat start to bead on his forehead as he sets into reps. You’re not sure when your legs fall down, but you can’t help but be mesmerized. The bright lights of the room make the layer of perspiration shine, his chest and abs glistening like he’d been coated in a layer of coconut oil. You bite your lip at the sight, trying to fight the naughty thoughts raiding your consciousness right now. He does eight, ten, twelve reps at that weight before he racks it again, grinning as he senses your eyes on him. He takes about thirty seconds as a little break, deciding to show off a little for you. He starts another set, maybe forcing a few grunts to elicit a soft gasp from you. He’s sure you think he can’t hear you, but he does. He even hears the shakiness of your breath, though he denies himself the simple pleasure of looking at you.
You’re a mess, and it’s horrifically embarrassing. He hasn’t touched you, he’s hardly looked at you, and he hasn’t even done anything inherently erotic, but you can feel your slick sliding down your thighs as we speak, and your nipples are hardening under your bra, which of course doesn’t conceal a thing. You watch him lift without doing any exercise yourself, embarrassed by the way he works you up without doing a thing.
“Impressed by this strength, little thing?” He sighs out in between reps, finally racking his weights and standing up to remove them. He smirks at you, trying to pretend like you’ve been doing bicycle kicks the whole time. You’re effortlessly seducing him, just by being here and wearing that. He feels like he’s trying so hard to get your attention. Maybe this is all for naught, he thinks, wiping his face off with the towel hanging around his neck. He hadn’t even planned to work out today, mostly just wanting to be with you in every form of the word. He sighs out when you just groan out an ‘mhm!’ in response.
“Okay..well.” Satoru says, his voice still pitched to be cheerful but definitely not to the same excitement you were used to hearing. It makes you pick your head up to check what’s wrong, you’re just about to speak on it when the words die in your throat. He’s slid out of his shorts, just standing there in his Hollister underwear, the ones with the short inseams. They make everything about him look even bigger, his broad thighs and long toned legs, and of course, his massive bulge. You nearly moan just from the sight, he’s literally walking sex and rubbing it in your face. “Since you’re noticeably not impressed or into me, I’ll.. stop embarrassing myself and go get showered. I can still take you to school if you want–I owe you breakfast.”
Your eyes widen. He’s gorgeous, you’re sure you could wash your laundry on his stomach, the light coating of sweat covering his muscles made your mouth water—and what did he mean about you not being impressed or into him? Has he really been flirting with you all this time, and meaning it? You sit up quickly. “Satoru–wait.”
He stops, the panic in your voice makes hope bubble up in his gut again. He turns on his heels. “Yes, Miss Y/n?”
Now that his eyes are back on yours, you don’t know how to say what you want to say. How could you possibly put into words how bad you’ve wanted him for years, how you’ve yearned to be more than just the passing and whimsical friendship that you have. How could you tell him that you’ve desired him in your bed since the moment you met him, though how profound was that? Most people did. “I–I’m…well, I just, have…had..” You fluster again, looking down at the yoga mat you’d been laying on. He folds his arms, grinning at your bashfulness. Your confession was coming, it was on the tip of your tongue, he could feel it.
“You’ve what, baby doll? Been tirelessly in love with me for years? Dreamed of me every single night?” He chuckles at your expense, folding his arms and leaning back against the wall just like he was when you came in.
So that confirms it. That’s exactly what he wants you to say, what he needs to hear from you. He loves you, wants you more than anything. All his elaborate schemes and shitty pick up lines have been for real, and you’ve neglected them for years. You still don’t know how to communicate this need, this carnal desire you have to be his woman. So you don’t. You huff in embarrassment at yourself, at your inability to ever come outright and say how you feel. It’s going to be the death of you here, the reason you lose the man of your dreams.
No. No, you tell yourself. If Satoru can be so bold with his declarations of desire for you, then you would return the favor. From head to toe, your body erupts into flames and your body moves on its own. You get to your feet, eyes trained on Satoru’s puzzled blues. You suck your bottom lip into your mouth and shyly look away, sitting back on your knees once you stand a few inches away from him. You look up, blinking thick eyelashes up at him. Your hand reaches up for the waistband of his underwear.
“I dunno how to say it. So let me show you.” You offer with a shaky breath, cupping the bulge that slowly grew before your eyes.
It was his turn. His eyes widened in shock, though his hand found itself knitted in your hair immediately. The feeling of your soft and slender hand holding him over his underwear was only driving him crazier. He needed to have your touch, the real one. He nods, pulling your face a little closer.
“By all means, darling girl. Show me.” His grin is growing closer to the devilish side. You lick your lips and nod again, tucking your dainty fingers under the waistband and tugging them down. You try to contain your excitement as his length slaps up into those gorgeously defined abs of his, but you can tell by the look on Satoru’s face that you fail. He chuckles, your eyes widening in anticipation and your thighs rubbing together like you’re trying to start a fire.
He was gorgeous, down to every ridge and vein decorating his perfectly arched cock. You were salivating, he was trimmed immaculately, just some short white pubes there to focus on. You sigh, feeling the heat pool between your legs at the same time you lean and reach up to grasp him. He lets a choked gasp go just from your slender fingers wrapping around his base. He has to consciously think about making himself look down at you, not wanting to miss a second of your beautiful face taking him in. You pump him slowly a few times, still taking in his massive length and the pretty bead of precum gathering at his slit.
“Don’t tease now, god knows you’ve been doing enough of that for six years now.” He groans, pushing his hips forward so that his pre was spread all along your lips. He giggles at the obscenity of it all, and the way your tongue darts out to lick it all up. Goosebumps prickle along his flesh as you bat your eyes up at him and guide his shaft into your waiting warm mouth. He gasps softly at the feeling of your wet walls swallowing him in, the shocking way you swallow him down your throat was enough to have him fighting the urge to cum down your throat already. You were the girl of his dreams, and he’s been having fantasies of you on your knees like this for years. He groans as you start to move, his back falling more flush against the doorframe.
You moan at his taste, willing yourself to take him all at once. The weight of him on your tongue was comforting and satisfying, and looking up at the way his face contorts in pleasure, you wonder why you did delude yourself for so long. His fingers gently scratch at your scalp, urging you further down his length, his load rapidly approaching at your gags.
You let go of his base, forcing him down your throat even though tears spring to your eyes from the action. You move your hands to his hips instead, deepthroating all he had to give you. “Such a nasty girl, swallowing all this dick so good.”
You moan softly at his talk, actually swallowing around him and choking just a bit. He loves it, the sounds you make and the eager way you bob up and down. “Y/N–I’ll cum soon if you don’t stop.” He warns, though you don’t take it as a warning at all. In fact, you only take it as encouragement to keep going, to make up for all the years you could have had together if only you weren’t so scared. You increase your pace, not minding the ache in your jaw as his hands slide down to hold your face. His features are all worth it, his mouth parted in pleasure, eyes scrunched tight as he fucks his hips into your mouth, pubes rubbing against your chin. His load is huge like the rest of him, the hot liquid sliding down your windpipe. He leaves his dick in your mouth for a minute, still grappling with the aftershocks of his nut, realizing this wasn’t a realistic fantasy of his and you were actually on your knees, sucking him dry. He grins down at you, knowing that your lives together were forever changed. You’d have a while to sort that out, all he cared about now was returning the favor, making you feel as good as you just made him feel. His hands gently stroke your cheeks, and you slide off him with a pop, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand. Your eyes never left his, and he couldn’t tear himself away either.
Your heart pounded in your ears, and you knew this meant big changes for your previously platonic relationship. “Pretty girl, god I’m so glad you did that…let me make you feel good too, please?” He asked, the whine at the end so desperate you could hardly believe Satoru Gojo was begging you to eat your pussy.
“I–I’m sweaty, it’s not as bad for dick..” You giggle shyly, unable to look at him and say such a thing.
“I have a shower. C’mon. We have time.” He wiggles his brows, stepping out of his underwear entirely. His hands pull you back to your feet, keeping his hold on you as he directs you to the shower.

hiii!!! i’m new to anons lol but i love ur writing so much!!
i was wondering if i could pretty please request some vox x reader romantic headcanons where reader is a fallen angel exorcist, like vaggie? and possible vox finds them left after an extermination and takes them in?
tysm❤️🩹
Vox X Reader [Romantic]
In which Vox finds you cast down from heaven after the extermination. Reader is genderneutral.
While the Vees remained somewhere safe during the actual extermination
The first person to get back into things is Vox; he needs to know every detail, count every death, and report any massive fallings of overlords
Every camera flickers to life, his teams are sent out to repair, and as his processor is counting up the hundreds of deaths, he catches something strange on his camera
You're limp, shoved against a wall, with gold leaking from your back and a broken spear in your hands
Oh yeah, he's going for this one himself
He's not saying a thing because the implications of who you might be could be world-shattering, and he wants to be the first to say it
Making sure to keep an eye on you via that camera, he's glad he shows up because you look like you are on the verge of death
At first, hes cold, looking at you, wondering if you would be worth the trouble
But then his curiosity kicks in, along with his itch for innovation and wanting to be the first at everything
With the zap of some electricity, hes transporting the two of you to his workstation, where loose wires and all sorts of projects mid-construction are sitting around
At that point, you've actually started to try and fight back, which gives him a good glance at your back, where two gaping holes near your shoulder blades were pouring out the golden blood
" Jeez, chill out! It's not like I can kill you or anything. "
He's unsure of his own words, but you seem to stop then, which confirms that he really did have no means to kill you
But one thing was certain: you were not from around here
Vox will bandage you and ask all sorts of questions; he wants everything, and you seem more than willing to tell him everything, although he could tell you ommit a lot of details
" So then, where'd your wings- "
" I think you have overstepped. "
Alrighty then!
He won't press too much, but he will run vitals to make sure you're in a more stable condition
Vox won't let you out of his sight, though who can avoid his gaze?
For the first week, you remain in the workshop until he can work out a room for you
He would hide you from his coworkers for a month; he's worried they might try to exploit you or let shit out
But eventually he introduces you to Velvette- though neither of you share where you are from, as far as she is concerned, you are something of a partner to Vox
Valentino won't know until it happens accidentally, because jesus, Vox can't trust that asshole with a single thing
He won't want you to go out without someone too often, worried someone might find out and try to kill you
He says it's because he needs to be the only one who can study you, but the way he clings to you at night tells you he just doesn't want to lose you

Can I request a gn!reader x batfam? The reader is in the batfamily business and is the 2nd youngest. They’re on a mission with the others, when they get hit by a alien tech which turns the reader into a toddler (2-3 years old?)😱 so the batfamily had to take care of the reader till they find an antidote. You can end it with the reader being turned back to their original age?
Young Again
Warnings: cursing, Bad writing, mild mention of violence
A/n: sorry if this took a while to get out, I was at a concert when I got this lol
Enjoy!!

'Bruce is not going to like this...' You thought to yourself as you looked up at everyone towering over you.
"Aw, look at them! Even their suit shrinked" Dick squeeled as he bent down to better look at you.
You rolled your eyes in annoyance and just ignored him.
Damian stared down at you with a smirk, clearly amused.
Tim was busy creating an antidote on the side but he'd glanced at you every once in a while.
Jason was dying of laughter, clutching his stomach in pain only a couple feet away.
And, as expected, Dick was treating you like a baby.
Which you technically were, but-
Damian hummed, "How will we tell father?" He asked.
Jason finally finished his laughing fit and walked over to all of you.
"Simple," he glanced down at you, "we don't. Problem solved".
"What? But that doesn't solve to pro-"
"Hush," Jason put a finger over damians mouth and he immediately smacked it away in disgust. "How do you think Bruce is gonna react to this news? Do you think he's gonna be happy?" Jason reasoned.
Damian thought about it for a second. "Hm, I suppose so"
Standing up, Dick looked over his shoulder at Tim, "How's the antidote going?"
Tim clicked away at the batcomputer rapidly before turning to look at everybody. "It's almost done, it should be out in about an hour" he stated calmly.
"An hour!?" Dick and Damian said in unison.
You huffed out in annoyance and Jason looked back down at you with a smirk.
He crouched down to your level just like Dick had a few moments ago, but instead of baby talking you, he flicked your forehead.
You stumbled back rather ungraciously with a loud and painfull 'thump' and Jason began laughing again.
Even Damian chuckled.
"Hey!" You whined just as Dick and Tim turned to look at you.
Dick was about to help you up when you felt two hands grab you from behind and pick you up.
You all turned and saw who it was; Alfred.
Alfred put you against his hip and looked down at you.
Smiling warmly, he gently poked your nose before looking down at Jason who had since stopped laughing but was still crouching down.
"What did you do to them?" He demanded.
Everybody stammered in an attempt to find an explanation when you finally spoke. "Alien tech. Patrol" you said simply and he looked down at you again.
"Ah, I see" he said, looking up at the rest. "And how exactly do you plan on telling Master Bruce about this?" He asked.
Everybody froze and Alfred almost immediately understood.
They weren't planning on telling him
He huffed and everybody instantly felt a bit bad.
"Sorry, Alf" Jason said sheepishly.
"Yes, we didn't know what else to do" Damian explained and everybody followed suit.
"Well, I don't know what he'll do but I sure do know for a fact that he won't like this"
"Who won't like what?"
Everybody froze and looked behind Alfred to see who it was.
Bruce.
He set down his mask and ran a hand through his messy, sweaty hair.
"And why are you back early from patrol?"
Alfred kept his back to Bruce while everybody else scrambled to find an explanation once again.
They were all trained to be great at lying but it all went out the window the moment they had to do it to Bruce.
They were talking over one another and Bruce couldn't understand a thing either of them was saying.
"Okay, okay, calm down and speak one at a time" everybody settled down and looked at him.
"Father, we-"
"No," he put his hand up, signaling at him to stop talking, "let Dick speak first. He's the oldest," he looked at all the other brothers, "and the most mature. At least for the most part"
Dick gulped and everybody turned to look at him.
Some sent him empathetic looks while the rest simply smirked, knowing he'd mess up.
"Well, w-we were out on patrol when..." He glanced at you in Alfred's arms for a split second and that was all the Bruce needed.
In the blink of an eye, he was in front of Alfred.
He gasped and everybody, including you, braced themselves for an earfull.
But when nothing happened, they looked at him.
Instead of a fuming Bruce, they saw a sad Bruce.
You froze as he brought his hands and picked you up off of Alfred grip.
He pulled you close to his chest and silent tears began soaking into your hair.
Bruce was crying.
Bruce Wayne, Batman, was fucking crying.
"B-Bruce are you crying!?" Jason gasped.
"No, its just the rain"
"Father, it's not even-"
"Shh, let him have his moment" Dick slapped a hand over Damian's mouth just like Jason had.
Everybody stood awkwardly— some staring in awe— behind Bruce meanwhile you slowly melted into his touch.
When you arrived at the manor, you were just 3 years old— still a toddler.
Originally, he would've never adopted you but you were technically his child and he knew your mother would start a huge scandal if he didn't accept you.
But as time passed, he grew to fall in love with your bright and once innocent personality.
Sometimes he stays up in the middle of the night, remembering the times you were young and innocent and he just wishes he could go back in time and stop you from joining the vigilante life.
Sometimes he'd cry. Just like now.
He knew they'd probably make fun of him for it later but he didn't care— all he could think about was how his beautiful, innocent baby was back.
Even if it wasn't true, even if it was just for a split second, he loved it.
Suddenly, a loud ding rang from behind you and you turned to see what it was.
"Oh, the antidotes ready" Tim walked over to the bright green liquid in a bottle and gently picked it up.
"I thought you said it'd take an hour?"
"And I thought you said you wanted an antidote" he said sassily like the gay dude be was.
He turned on his heel and locked eyes with Bruce.
"Can I...?"
Bruce nodded his head and reluctantly pulled away from you before wiping his tears.
Tim thanked him briefly and scooped you up.
He propped you onto his lap and slowly fed the nasty green liquid into your mouth.
You held back a gag and nearly spat it out but you fought through it and drank it all.
Tim immediately pushed you off of him and set you down on the floor.
You were about to complain when you suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot through your body as it grew to its original size.
You tried your best to bite back a groan and hunched over in pain.
It felt like you were burning from the inside out, like a million scorpions were biting every part of your body.
But thankfully it was only for a few seconds.
Alfred and a Tim rushed over to your weak form and helped you up.
"We'll take them to their room so they can rest, the antidote was painful" Tim explained.
They eventually disappeared up the stairs with you, leaving everybody else alone.
They all thought they were clear when Bruce suddenly spoke. "Well, who wants to tell me what happened?"
.
I'm not really proud of this fic but I hope yall were!

Maybe a cute scenario with 2007 Donnie where the Reader calls his phone line often for help with her work computer. Donnie is annoyed at first but comes to enjoy their chats. What Donnie doesn't know is Reader calls him cause they think Donnies voice is attractive lol
The Attractive Voice: part 1 (Fluff)
2007!Donatello x reader
Part 2 (18+), Part 3 (Angst?/Fluff)
A/N: I honestly had to hold myself back from making this an 18+😂 I kept myself in check while watching the Danish Melodi Grand Prix. Anyway, hope you enjoy💜
Warnings: None💜
It had started very innocently enough, with just one call to Donatello’s Tech Support. You could no longer remember what the problem with your computer was, but that you had tried everything you could think of, leading you to your last option - calling Donatello’s Tech Support after seeing a small ad in the newspaper. Why you even were reading a newspaper was a mystery to you. But the moment you heard Donatello’s voice through the phone, all of that was forgotten, and for a moment you forgot why you called in the first place.
“Hello, you’re talking to Donatello, your friendly IT tech support here to help you 24 hours a day. How can I help you?”, you heard on the other end of the phone, causing you to fall silent. Whoever this man was, he had one of the most attractive voices you had heard, and you once again forgot why you called in the first place, struggling to form a sentence while he waited patiently for you to speak, answering politely when you finally managed to tell him about the problem with your computer.
The next few weeks, you couldn’t stop thinking about Donatello’s voice, and how nice and friendly he had been to you. He really did live up to his “friendly IT tech support” label. It was calming to hear him talk, and you had found your cheeks heating up whenever you thought back to your conversation. Not that there had been anything flirtatious about it. No, it had been very respectful and professional from Donatello’s side, yet you could not stop the feeling of butterflies that erupted in your stomach whenever you thought of it. And soon, you found the urge to call him again, hoping that your computer would break down in some way, giving you an excuse to call him for help.
You ended up calling him those few weeks later, telling him your computer had started to run slower than before. And once again, Donatello was helpful and friendly, his calming voice sounding sweet in your ear as you enjoyed every minute of the call with the stranger, whose face you didn't even know.
Days later you found that it happened again. You wanted to call Donatello again, turning your computer over, looking for a problem. You then called him again, settling on the sound of it. It was becoming too loud. And Donatello helped you once again, staying friendly and professional, even if he sounded a little tired.
You continued to do this, looking your computer over for problems you could call Donatello about, until you could no longer find any problems, and instead making them up as an excuse, enjoying the sound of Donatello’s voice as he spoke.
What you did not know was that on the other end, Donatello was growing quite irritated. Though he made a point out of not showing it in his voice, he would start to rub his temples and take deep breaths in order to calm himself whenever you called. Until one call in particular.
Seeing your number pop up once more, Donnie braced himself for what was coming as he pressed the answering button. Another cracked or frozen screen? A password that wouldn’t work? A stuck key? Augh, why didn’t you just get a new computer?!
“Hello, you’re talking to Donatello, your friendly IT tech support here to help you 24 hours a day. How can I help you?”, he said, as if he hadn’t been talking to you several times before.
“Hey, Donnie”, you said, using his nickname for the first time, causing him to freeze in his seat. “It’s (Y/N). How has your day been?”
“It has been pretty good”, Donnie said, still somewhat shocked by your casual approach. You had never spoken to him like that before. “H- how about you, (Y/N)?” Donnie had to admit, it felt nice to say your name, like you were a friend to him. Someone he had known for a long time.
“It has been good, but my computer keeps messing up. Can you help me?”
“Of course I can. What’s the problem?”
And so it continued. You would call Donnie almost everyday with some sort of computer related problems, adding in a little bit of small talk. Donnie found that after your conversations had turned more casual, that he started enjoying talking to you, even if your computer was the biggest mess he had ever encountered. He learned about your daily life, school, family and work. You in turn learned a little bit about his brothers and some of his past time activities, which pretty much also consisted of computers. You had to admit that he was an interesting if not a little strange fellow, but that didn’t stop you from talking to him.
One day you called a little later than usual, causing Donnie to worry for a moment. In that time he even managed to worry that he had scared you away, feeling a sense of sadness at the thought. He had really started enjoying talking to you, so the thought of you not calling anymore was not a welcomed one. But then your number came up, and Donnie was quick to answer, ignoring the others that had been in line before you. They could wait.
“Hey, (Y/N)!”, Donnie said with a smile as he picked up. “I was just about to think you wouldn’t call today. You had me fearing there for a moment”.
You laughing on the other end caused his heart to skip a beat. It wasn’t often that he got to hear you laugh like that, but when he did, he found that it was absolutely worth it.
“I’m sorry, Donnie”, you said, your laughter still clear. “I was a little busy today. You know, family and all that”.
“I know it all too well”, Donnie smiled, looking off to the mess Mikey had left around the living area. “But what can I help you with today?”
“It’s not a big problem today”, you said. “It’s just the screen settings that are bugging me, and I have a hard time figuring out how I change it. It would be nice if you could help me, if it’s not too big of a problem”.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s nice to have someone friendly to talk to, even if they keep making up problems about their computer in order to talk to me”, Donnie said at the end of the line.
You made a small sound as you pressed your lips together, your cheeks flushing red. You hoped that Donnie didn’t hear it, but of course he did. Donnie always heard everything, even the smallest of sounds. Like the time you stubbed your toe against the dresser with him on the phone, making him chuckle when he realized you were nowhere near your computer. That was probably the day he realized that you did not call because of your computer.
“I’m not doing that”, you said, trying your best not to sound flustered on your end.
“(Y/N)”, Donnie said, a smile clear in his voice. “With all the problems your computer is having, I’m surprised it would still be running. But it’s okay. Like I said, I like talking to you”.
“Okay”, you sighed, giving up the act. “My computer is working perfectly fine. I just… really enjoy talking to you”.
Donnie laughed on the other end, making a blush spread over your cheek. You were so happy that he couldn’t see you right now. “It’s just your luck, because I enjoy talking to you too. But I think it’s better if we do it over my personal phone instead of my work phone… and outside of work hours”.
“But don’t you work 24 hours a day?”, you asked.
“Yeah, but I’ve been thinking about cutting down quite a bit”, he answered. “The 24 hours are more draining than I first thought they would be”.
“That sounds like a good idea”, you smiled, getting more comfortable in your seat on the couch. “Sooo, Donnie. What did you say your number was?”

answering these in one go
i got Sugar off a craigslist ad in 2016. she was listed for $9k but i got her for $8800, the seller knocked down the price literally just because he was nice and could tell i loved the car so much 🥹 my bank wouldn't let me pull out all the cash at once so i drove her home and paid him that Monday which is CRAZY but he trusted me to pay him and i did
when i first got her she didn't have power steering or power brakes (turned like a land yacht and stopped when she felt like it) so that was the first thing to address. fixed the horn and some other minor stuff that needed it. i also made the decision to replace the carburetor with EFI, which is kind of controversial in the classic car world lol but it's more fuel efficient
the EFI i had installed actually gave me the most problems over the years it was ALWAYS having issues and breaking down. but i recently had it reinstalled by someone who is NOT an idiot and I've had no problems for like 2 solid years I'm so fucking glad lol now she's more reliable than ever
she has a 350 small block V8 and auto transmission since she's my daily driver and allows for the smoothest ride possible as a commuter car. i don't race but she is fast lmao. I've never put pedal to metal but I've gotten her up to 80mph before without even flooring it so 😭 she can fucking Go lol. she kind of defaults to 30mph coasting so i have to have my foot on the brake to keep the speed limit in residentials
what else uhhh the cabin smells so good.... i love old car smell. I'm so lucky in her 53 years of being on the road she's apparently never had an owner that smoked inside the car i would have gone crazy if it smelled like cigarettes in there lmao
she has bench seats in the front and back which are like two little sofas. i used to nap back there on breaks when i was still working at a studio.
she has no airbags and you have to tighten the seatbelts yourself. there's an over the shoulder belt and separate waist belt. the passenger shoulder belt you gotta tug on after clicking it bc sometimes it comes loose on its own 😭 she is a death machine with no crumple zone so if i crash i will die 👍🏾 but I'm a very cautious driver and i don't even drive that much sooo IT'S FINE
she is very low tech besides the EFI and if there's ever an engine problem u can literally just look under the hood and mess with stuff until it's fixed. it's very spacious in there with a lot of room to poke around. cars in the 70s were made to last and because they are still so beloved to this day there's endless info online from enthusiasts about fixing stuff that pops up. some companies are still making new parts for classics so we don't have to dig through junkyards when we need replacements... unless u want to ofc, the hunt can be fun too LOL
i get people waving me down daily to ask me what year she is and tell me they used to have a Nova when they were younger or knew someone that did and how much they loved them and IDK IT'S SWEET!! ppl are always so happy to see her......... the antithesis of the cybertruck
thanks for reading here's some thirst traps
