Hey you! Have you seen this post by @pigswithwings? Do you like it? Do you like animation? Well do I have the news for you! With the author's permission and consultance, I am running a 5 minute animation short film on it, called "Angel back at home"!

Now, here's the most exciting news: We are looking for storyboarders, background designers, and 3 voice actors of all genders! Even better, you don't need to be a professional on any of those things whatsoever, only have some knowledge on them (and be of minimum age 16) to try and apply for the role!

Unfortunately, it is not paid, as for legal reasons we can not make profit out of it. Why should you join then, you ask? In this project we guarantee three things:

Portifolio building: Everything you will be producing, you can be using to add to your personal art portifolio, if this is a career you'd like to follow!

Resume: The short-film will be hosted on several film festivals, so you'll be able to put a big list of festivals your work was featured in, if you'd like to follow any art career. If not, the entire experience can be written in several bullet points on a resume ("experience with working in group", "experience of working within a deadline", etc) for any general job.

Advice and art growth: Every art that gets made on this project will be seen by me, the producer, and will be given advice for improvement. This is especially good if you've been on an art block, is self-taught, or overall would like a different perspective on your art. Don't worry, I'm not harsh!

Additional points is that it allows me to know new artists and new talents! From the last project I had run in this format, I had taken notice of 5 to 6 different artists that I hadn't known were so talented for their specific skills, which made me keep their names for the next project I'd produce. I am someone who dreams of opening an animation studio for new underrated talents and non-professionals that are studying to be professionals, so i'm looking forward to finding the artists on this project that will catch my eye and I'll bring over to the next project.

The timing is flexible since it is a volunteer ran project, if I can't pay I can't demand work hours of a job, so the deadline won't be too tight. For 5 minutes of film, the boards, voice acting, and single music will all in total take about 3 months, with the deadline starting in ferbuary and ending in the end of April. The following months will be given towards animation, sound editing and mixing, and video editing.

Requirements for storyboarders: Know how to draw, understand rule of thirds, enjoy drawing expressiveness through body language. You can be using any drawing device, whether that's computer, cellphone, or traditional, as long as you use the storyboard template in question and stay faithful to references.

Requirement for voice actors: have a somewhat good microphone(doesn't need to be professional and expensive, just good enough so we don't want to give the audio editors too much work), have interest in acting (preferably have had at least one theather class).

Requirement for background designer: Know how to draw or how to put together a 3d model of free assests, you don't need to be super experienced and specialized with drawing backgrounds but it'll be good to have a basic idea of it. You will be given specific references for the backgrounds, and you won't draw every single background, it'll be split work

Well, I would say Wukong, but here comes the question: a Stone Monkey, born from a stone, would be able to reproduce themself? There are no other like the four celestial primates and MK, so I would assume that they weren't able to- reproduce normally. Also if they would does it mean the womb is a stone as well???

GASTER'S RETURN - FAQ

What is the plot ?

Everything is in the title, it's a story about Gaster returning from wherever he was after his accident that broke him between time and space. This story is set after the Pacifist ending, months after monsters have been freed from the Underground

What are the main themes of this story ?

The story will focus on the difficulties he will encounter about this return in a brand new world, about searching for his place in this new setting, and letting go of the old one, while also putting some light on the impact it all had on his family and friends.

Is it an AU (Alternative Universe ?) ? And how close it is from Undertale ?

Yep, it is an AU. But I want to keep it as close of the canon as possible, in order to really tell a story based on the game. But it won't be exactly the same of course, my own headcanons, and other interpretations for narrative purpose, will be in there.

How did you get the idea of making this AU ?

At the very beginning, in April 2024 kinda, I started to make some random drawings of Gaster, and some KingDings (AsgorexGaster) sketches. It was some really light stuffs, Gaster doing random casual things on the surface, but then slowly a story began to form into my mind as I started to ask myself questions about the why and how. I decided that I wanted to make something out of it for once, so I began to study writing and comic making for a few months in order to start an AU for this idea, and here it is!

Wait wait wait, does that mean there will be KingDings in this AU ? :0

Well, no not really. The main focus of this story won't be romance at all. At this point of their lives, I don't think neither of them are ready for a relationship (if I want it to be healthy). So no romance, but if you want to see romance, between them or any other characters, I can't stop you x) (As long as it's legal of course...)

Why is the comic separated into scenes?

The comic is organized like this, every new setting is a new scene. It's how I organize my writing and I wanted to make it explicit

When will the next pages come out ?

I try to make approximatively 5 pages every two weeks

How long is this going to take to complete the story ?

Long as hell, I have written a prologue and 3 chapters to finish the story, wish me luck

Am I allowed to make a dub of the comic ?

I honestly don't know if anyone would ever want to make one, but if you do, sure you can ! (as long that you credit me of course)

It's already have been over a week since ch1 post, huh?

Thank you all so much for kind words about OSC! as this project will be a beginning of my hobbyist 'carrier' (read as: passion project) that will probably take my free time from work whenever I'm not playing video games (I am afflicted by a curse that makes me do 100% achievements) or studying or doing any other passion or hobby projects.

The first chapter changed and grew, firstly from a much different point of origin, having other chapter names and growing from a just 10-15 page chapter to a 30 one, and from planned 1 month to taking 3 months!

So what's next? Well... Chapter 2 which I'll probably not post as a whole chapter, but in parts. It will provide me probably more motivation and you all more frequent posting of story. (if you love getting whole chapter drops, dw, there probably will be chapters that I'd prefer to post as a whole)

What is estimated time of work on chapter 2?

I cannot estimate that, unfortunately. I work when I can, and when my body allows me. And it usually refuses when I want to work on the comic, which frustrates me too often.

Will the au be easily readable???

there is a plan to set-up a master post that will list, (and link to,) all the chapters/parts of them, and it'll be always reachable from any chapter post and from the pinned post. Also each chapter will have standard links for first, prev and next post. This, of course, is for convenience of reading! (fueled by spite to one of my fav au's not doing that bare minimum.)

Most of those skit comics i had to cut because my brain decided they were perfect for the overarching plot so now I basically soft locked myself from making more.

BUT! With more chapters uploaded I'll be free to create more outside of plot OSC au skit comics.

Ok till the moment I answer this question, the amount of AU increase to 14 AU =)))))))

Nate did draw sketches for some AU in the list, we will break it down for you.

1. Hellaver Secret

This AU started our Hellaverse Journal, it is the combination of Hazbin Hotel and an anime called Spy x Family. Mixing the lore of both media to create a plot that balances between fantasy and slice of life . The main couple in this AU is RadioApple, JusticeStatic is only a side dish that we came up with as a joke at first.

Basically, in this AU, Samael gave up his position as a Seraphim to become a normal human and changed his name to Lucifer. He's currently an assassin, a daughter he has with his long lost wife - Charlie, a telepath that can read people's mind and Lucifer form a fake marriage with a man named Alastor - a spy in disguise.

Michael is still an Archangel in this AU, he came down to Earth to bring his brother back to Heaven and somehow agreed to a business deal with Alastor's coworker - Vox. Even tho they hate each other, they still try to work things out because they both want to break the fake Morningstar couple.

2. Ruddy Hotel

You guy already knew about this one =)))

But yea, basically role swap AU

3. Band AU

This is a human AU. All the Heaven siblings decided to create a rock band called Octagrams. Michael is the drummer of the band and Vox at first was their anti, like the kind of anti that will stalk you from behind. Vox is actually a very successful businessman but he's also a stalker cuz c'mon, it's Vox.

4. Students AU

They are high school students in this AU, and yes, Vox is older than Michael in most of our human AU. In this AU, Vox is a 12 grader student while Michael is in grade 10. If anyone wondering then no, they are not dating till later when they're both legal adults with jobs.

Michael: I think you should give up on that school already.

Vox: Shut up kid, I'm trying to concentrate.

5. Hotel Supervisor

In this AU, Michael already knew Vox when the TV was still alive. Michael has to come down Earth to do his jobs and somehow Vox was his next-door neighbor. Long story short, they then fell in love but in the end, Vox died and became a demon in Hell. Then, one day, Michael got a direct message from God ordering him to come down to the hotel, keep an eye on it and decide whether the hotel deserved a chance to prove redemption is possible. Vox then knew about Michael's appearance at the Hotel... After a long time of thinking carefully, he decided to knock on the hotel's door.

7. The contract

Michael is currently having a headache about the last extermination, about his brother and his niece, about their resistance, which could cause a misunderstanding for Heaven and made God think they want to rebel against Heaven. Michael needed to know what was happening in Hell as soon as possible and Vox was the most suitable choice for this job.

8. Soulmate AU

When humans turn 18, some of them will appear a small mark at their wrist, the mark that represent their soulmate. But love has never been easy, not everyone with the mark can find their soulmate because all the mark does is glow when your soulmate is making love with someone that is not you and you will be able to feel a faint electric shock when you meet them. The mark will disappear the moment your soulmate passes away.

Vox got his mark when he was 18. Some of his friends were jealous of him but all he felt was empty and annoyed. If anything, Vox is never the one who trusts in destiny and fate. Same with his soulmate - Michael, Archangel Michael got his mark as a gift from God but he never paid much attention to it. He didn't understand why God gave him this? The idea of himself getting attached to someone on first sight is something Michael can't even imagine.

So they both waited for the day that their mark disappeared so they would no longer be bound to a stranger anymore.

But things never go as they expected...

Destiny must be crazy when it thought that tying an Archangel and a Sinner together was a good idea.

9. Get rid of you

Michael is currently a third year law student in this AU. One day, his younger sibling Gabriel thinks it's a good idea to fill that empty fish tank in his brother's house with some fish in some skeptical looking pet shop. Lilttle did the Morningstar siblings know the mini shark they picked up at the store that day was actually a demon in disguise.

10. Roommate AU

Vox, the Static Demon and Archangel Michael got summoned to Earth in another universe where Heaven and Hell didn't exist by a mysterious cult. Because they both came from the same universe so it's best that they stick together to survive in this familiar yet strange world. It took all of Vox's neuron nerve to convince Michael and after thinking carefully about his current situation, Michael knew he will have a better chance at getting back to his world if he co-operate with an Overlord and a better chance at blending in the human world with the help of someone who used to be a human. So even though he despised Vox's existence but for his future benefits, Michael is going to spare Vox's life.

So the two began to live together to find a way to come back to their world and to survive in this society without drawing any attention to their existence.

11. Guardian Angel

In this AU, all the siblings are the guardian angels for the humans.

Michael - Vox

Lucifer - Alastor

Raphael - Cherri Bomb

Gabriel - Niffty

Uriel - Husk

Jophiel - Velvette

Chamuel - Angel Dust

Azrael - Sir Pentious

Their mission is to guide their human on the right path but sadly, for Michael, he and his human are not getting along too well. Michael could only hope that he could get the guy to be 50% better at being a good person until the day Vox dies or else Michael is going to lose that promotion that he's always wanted.

12. Your Name

Inspired by an anime called "Your Name". Basically, it depicts the story of two college students, Michael and Vox, who suddenly swap bodies despite having never met the other, unleashing chaos onto each other's lives.

If you're wondering why they're doing weird expressions that doesn't match their personality is because in the pic, these two losers are swapping bodies, Vox in Michael's body and vice versa.

13. The Moving Castle

Inspired by an anime named "Howl's Moving Castle". Vox is an overly confident man who is cursed to have a demon body with a TV head by a spiteful witch. His only hope of breaking the spell is meeting a powerful, cold and distant wizard that travels around in his moving castle.

Michael's mind is filled with doubts when he sees Vox. He couldn't believe this vile man in front of him was the one he had been searching all alone and the one who could break his curse.

14. Apocalypse AU

Take place in the post-apocalypse world where almost everything was destroyed but with advanced technology. In this AU, Vox is a mad scientist and Michael is a soldier in a poor and small area.

So Michael and his siblings in this AU were all slaves when they were small. Some were sold to by dealer or black market and others came from a corrupted lab or were kidnapped. Because the 8 of them were locked in the same cage and all of them were around the same age so they got close with each other really quickly. (In this AU Michael and Lucifer are still twins) After knowing each other for a while, Lucifer came up with the idea that all of them should have a unique tattoo so even if they got split up in the future, they will still be able to recognize each other. So time passed, one by one was sold but the place collapsed before Michael got sold. And so he was able to escape then got adopted by a soldier.

Time passed, he became one of the protectors, an excellent and skilled soldier of the area. But one day, some people in the area started to go missing and Michael has been assigned the task of finding those missing people. And he was able to track Vox down. Vox noticed there has been some annoying rat following him lately, not to mention being the first to come this close to him in the first place. So he asked his old pal Alastor - a famous hitman to deal with Michael.

Then "BANG" - a clean bullet through the head, taking away Michael's life. Vox was not going to let Michael's body going to waste so what better way to reuse the body than to create a hybrid monster (The reason why Vox want to create a monster is because he remembered Al used to tell him a long time ago that he wondered how a monster tasted like. So Vox thought maybe if he created a monster and served it to Alastor, perhaps he could fix his relationship with Alastor)

So a monster was created and so did a broken screen. (Vox did change his screen later, don't worry) What will they face together afterward? What will the future hold? What kind of madness, wacky adventure and people awaiting them? It is something that they need to go through together in the future...

1)Oh, I just answered something about this here, but the short version is: I've wanted to do a mix of animation and comics for a long time (a zelda comic was my first inspiration for this) When I started this au it was gonna be an animatic so when I changed that to comic form, I still had a few things that I really wanted to have animated

After teaming up with the Foot Clan for canon plot reasons, One fights all the foot recruits as a training/demostration kid of thing and the only one who can stand their ground against him is her, and of course he finds her fun to fight, cause he can actually have a fight with her. After that they go on missions together, cause they force One to be with a team and he doesn't do teams but agrees if she goes, because she is actually a good fighter and competent enough to carry out the mission

Also, I have the headcanon that they can't use their real names on the Foot Clan, that's why they call her Recruit. you just give out your name if you actually trust the other person, but given the fact that everyone serious on the foot clan is a shady ninja and the other part of the foot are random people, she had never actually given her name to anyone. After a few missions together, Cass decides she can actually trust One with her name

They do end up being friends, tho One would never call it that, at least not pre-redemption

7) One doesn't really think much of it, he knows Draxum likes to cook, he has cooked for him his whole life, so he ending up with a cooking job on the surface is not so weird, and he knows Draxum has to lay low so it makes sence for him to be on such a crappy place. Plus One's gonna have another things in mind to worry about, he wouldn't have brains to judge that.

Raph helps One work through his anger issues, having experience working on his own, he's also the one One opens up the most

Splinter overhears One saying he used to wear a robe when being at his home and gets him a few. One ends up getting suck into watching telenovelas with Splinter

One likes putting on face masks with April, they end up having full "spa days" at April's at least once a month

do Erubi, Livya, and Baby #3 ever find out/have their own suspicions/draw their own conclusions about the...interesting circumstances of their births & parentage? How do they feel about it? How do they view their parents in their adulthood?

I will be 100% real I don't have the post-canon timeline Solidified for anyone but Couya and Palo (and also Faiza on account of her being dead) so I don't have much set in stone for this.

The main thing that impacts this is that I have two HEAVILY branching options how things are going to go for Janeys specifically (and by extension his children). In one option, the post-coup restructuring attempts to legitimize the Odomache as a dynastic kingship, kind of like old Ephenni kingship where a king's sister's eldest son was his heir, except patrilineal and focused on producing related female heirs that can become celibate god-monarchs. Janeys would thus be semi-forced into forming part of the body of a new royal dynasty, and one or both of his children would be subject to extremely high-stakes political marriages to fully entrench their positions.

In the other option, this system develops much later on during a succession crisis towards the end of Couya's life, or after a highly questioned appointment of her successor. Janeys just kinda gets dropped and goes back to being the Haidamane failson who just inherited a kinda shit parcel of land and a bunch of cows, his only children are girls so the family line dies with him. They get married off (or Erubi might be inducted as an Odonii) in a pretty normal capacity and have pretty normal lives for female nobility.

Both routes would need further development so I'm not sure what I'm going with yet. The former is wayyy meatier because it sucks worse and also would entail additional succession issues because THE KIDS ARE BASTARDS. Not everything needs to be so fucking dramatic though.

One other thing is that, spoiler alert, baby #3 ends up stillborn (baseline high infant mortality rates don't mix well with spending most of your pregnancy traveling long distances over land). His existence was an ominous growing weight of the future, a body dies in the womb but the future comes nonetheless, etc. Baby # 3 has no particular feelings about the circumstances of his conception.

Otherwise yeah Erubi is presently at an age where she can start to understand complex aspects of the world she lives in and question her place in things, so this is quickly oncoming. She's already approached some of the immediately obvious questions like 'why am I the only Haidamane with red hair?', with the answer being the (culturally standard) notion that red hair runs in some families with some northerner blood and just kind of pops up every so often ((given the gene is recessive and can seemingly spontaneously express in children of two brown haired parents who carry it)). Hibrides' grandfather was a redhead, and one of Janeys' great great grandfathers was from the province Erub and a lot of people there have red hair. So it came from that.

One mitigating factor is that, as female children of nobility, they don't spend a whole lot of time out of the household in General and have next to no experience seeing how other households work in person. They play with the children of servants and peasants sometimes but any instances "your family is kinda weird" they're getting is gonna go over their heads initially because their learned first instinct will be "you just think that because you're a commoner/PEASANT".

This is going to start hitting home more when said kids can better verbalize (or behave on the basis of) rumors that the two children are bastards via the unwed middle aged man just kinda living in their house in an atypical capacity. And when they notice strange looks from their dad's extended family, and pick up on how Brakul almost never accompanies them anywhere in public, and how their mom makes Erubi wear her braids down her back so you can't see her hair under the veil but doesn't make her brunette sister do so, and how their dad and 'uncle' sleep in the same room most nights and have occasionally been encountered cuddling on the couch next to the shrine, and how they've also seen their mom and 'uncle' sleep in the same room sometimes, and start to fill in some of the blanks.

I don't expect them to be any more interested in their parent's love lives or the circumstances of their conception than most children are, so they probably won't give much of a shit about most of this until they're old enough to have other resentments of their parents to think about in tandem. It's going to specifically be the fact that THEY might be bastards (and how that affects their treatment by people who suspect this, and how it might impact their future prospects) that gets to them. There's no reason they wouldn't internalize concepts like 'being a bastard is shameful' 'being a product of adultery is shameful' etc, none of their parents actually disagree with that notion anyway (they just interpret the combination marriage + sworn brotherhood kinship to be a mitigating factor that makes it not Quite the same thing).

Erubi is going to be someone who wants to interrogate the world and her place in it. Once she has any reason to suspect her illegitimate status and is able to properly verbalize her questions, she's not going to let them hear the end of it. They're going to be plagued with questions until she gets an explanation she can understand, and plagued with more questions until she gets tired/bored of it. There's no chance in hell that this explanation is going to be a well-worded, compassionate, easy to understand one, and she's probably going to alternate between being angry/annoyed and pretending it isn't a thing for a while. I think she could come to some kind of terms with it though. Like, she is TECHNICALLY a bastard, but not like other bastards who are fatherless or were born in the kinds of secret, shady extramarital affairs their parents should get whipped and fined and socially ostracized for.

Both kids are inevitably going to have difficult relationships with their parents (not just because of the situationship stuff but on the basis that they're all difficult people and 2/3 of them didn't actually want kids) but I think Erubi will end up with Fairly positive feelings towards them overall into adulthood. They're your mom and dad and your dad's live-in boyfriend who is your actual dad, you're supposed to love and honor them no matter what. I see her pivoting to kinda treat Brakul as her Real Dad on an emotional level when she gets older.

I think she's also going to strongly internalize cultural values of pride in one's family and their honor, so she'll be pretty willing to defend things. Like, 'No my dad is NOT an effeminate cunnari, my uncle just lives with him because he has no land, and my dad loves him dearly enough to provide him a life worthy of his stature, which is a VIRTUE for such a bond. May I remind you that the old king Erub kept his sworn brother Janes as his right hand, to live within his palace and govern at his side? Famously? It's like that. I am NOT a bastard and my resemblance to my uncle is HAPPENSTANCE, red hair runs in my mom and dad's families. You see the way my hair falls in waves? THAT comes from my dad. You don't see my [bald] uncle having hair like this, do you? Yeah. Actually, how dare you even suggest that I'm illegitimate? Are you implying my mother is some kind of whore? I could have you flogged for that. [INTERNALLY: My dad is totally a faggot]'.

Livya will be more someone who picks up the vibe that No One Talks About This For A Good Reason and decides to follow suit. She might also ask a lot of questions early on, but give up after the first few terse non-answers, and would ultimately figure it out on her own and/or hear it from Erubi. She'll play along even if it eventually comes out in the open, and will probably go some lengths to emotionally distance herself from Brakul in particular. He's not Supposed to be her father after all, that's part of this whole deal. It will weigh on her heavily that people who know or suspect the general circumstances of her birth will see her as lesser or a liability in some capacity, a possible bastard from a bad family. She'll probably keep most of the discomfort about it to herself.

If the Less Dramatic route happens, it's probably going to be harder than average to find her a husband, depending on whether the families of her prospective matches are aware of the rumors. The process of being sold off like goods is already taxing enough, the feeling that no one even wants to Buy because of circumstances beyond your control might be even worse for her.

I think her inevitably difficult relationship with her parents is going to boil over into resentment in adulthood, lingering on the ways that they've set her up for difficulty and have shamed their family, particularly in contrast to Erubi (who is probably going to end up being an Odonii, was expected to do so from a young age, has been rewarded for headstrong, 'boyish' behaviors and expressions of autonomy that Livya can't get away with the same way). Hopefully her inevitable arranged marriage will be a good match, and she gets a husband and new family she can eventually feel at home with. Even if it doesn't work out that neatly, she'd still try to find a different sense of identity in this new life. Being the wife to a good man is at least better than being the suspected bastard of a failed father. She wouldn't HATE any of her parents though, and might miss her mother in particular. Might even feel a new sense of sympathy for her in retrospect, wonder how much of a choice she really had in things.

most of my fics are so old i can't bear to look at them, but i'm trying to write more for one piece. then i've written a decent amount of haikyuu, pacific rim, and star wars.

initially? i absolutely do! but as any of my friends will tell you, i struggle to even reply to dms or texts. so alas. i drop off pretty quickly

i LOVE comments though, and i eagerly read and reread them frequently ;__;

6) what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

oh sheesh. you may only ask once (so be prepared for the reply) which is a bad end for pacific rim 2. or i guess... a worse end. it's also a bit of a role swap au, if i remember correctly.

7) what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i... honestly don't know. i typically write happy endings. i like to write "missing scenes" and post-canon, so things tend to be rather open-ended or to just lead into the next part of canon. my memory is also not my prize-winning quality, so i can't really remember how my fics ended pre-2018ish.

8) do you get hate on fics?

i know i've gotten some ruder bookmarks, but not typically, no. i get more hate on art or in my ask box, but i honestly just delete it all, so it never sticks.

9) do you write smut?

yes, though its debatable if it's "smut" so much as "sex in such an irreverent context that it becomes humor." i cannot take sex seriously, so alas, i rarely write it seriously. i use it more as comedy and a tool for character studies. i do enjoy a stoic character's facade getting cracked open.

10) do you write crossovers?

i don't write legitimate crossovers, with characters from different medias intermingling, and frankly, i rarely do au's either.

but if i have one weakness, it's that i am ALWAYS a sucker for a pacific rim au. yes, i am rotating a one piece version in my head.

11) have you ever had a fic stolen?

i had a sakuatsu one reuploaded to wattpad under someone else's username. they deleted my author's notes and added their own, as if they'd written the fic, too. hilariously they even used my art for the cover.

it got taken down, but idk why. i never reached out about it.

12) have you ever had a fic translated?

yeah! i've had 5 translated, and i've had 2 turned into podfics, which is cool.

13) have you ever cowritten a fic before?

nope. i'd be terrible to work with, tbh. my writing process is a holdover from my journalism days, and the steps are a mystery even to me. i think i'll stick to drawing art for other ppl and their fics.

14) what's your all time favorite ship?

i will hold to the fact that it's asanoya from ao3. they were the first ship i got really invested in, and i see their impact on everything i ship to this day. they were my "blueprint," if you will. i still get smiley when i see art for them!

on the flip side... terezi/vriska was also a formative ship for me. but i won't discuss that.

15) what's the wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

rip go ahead and start talking (i'll pick up the slack). it's my 1-of-2-chapters ushiten fic that i should just mark as complete, since the first chapter can stand alone.

16) what are your writing strengths?

hard to determine your own strengths, but i think my dialogue/characterization are pretty strong, especially since i still regularly flex those muscles when writing comics. i also think i'm funny.

17) what are your writing weaknesses?

writing.

but seriously, i am so bad at sitting down and just hammering out a fic. don't get me started on outlines or longform works. i'd rather grab my pencil and start drawing, i'm afraid.

18) thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i think there are ways to interweave words or terms in other languages, but overall, i'm a fan of just standardizing everything into one language. if your character understands it, i think all readers should be able to understand it. and i'm not a fan of when you're expected to scroll to the end for a translation; i think it interrupts the reading flow.

this is a generalized opinion though. i think there are ALWAYS storytelling exceptions, so if the other language usage is really important to your theme/intent, i can see why you would do this!

19) first fandom you wrote for?

please don't do this to me. it was maximum ride. yes, the james patterson books about the kids with bird wings. i wrote 4-5 fics, i was in middle school, and — as far as i know — they are still up on ff dot net. no, i won't elaborate.

20) favourite fic you've ever written?

hands down, it's the sakuatsu domesticity simulator. it's not necessarily my best work in terms of writing skill, but i also drew over 50 images for it and html coded it into an interactive story. i'm just proud that i started a big project by myself and i actually finished it!

it's my dream to someday make a whole visual fan novel. i feel like the domesticity sim was the first step.

"You were deliberately flirting with him," Joe accused as he handcuffed you to the bed, not missing the impish look that was currently in your eyes. "He was touching you, and you let him."

"Oh, boo-hoo. Someone else managed to get their hands on me and you couldn't handle it. Big fucking deal." You let out a sudden gasp when you felt him bite down on your shoulder, hard. Hard enough to draw blood, in fact.

"Only I get to touch you like that," he muttered as his hands let go of your ensnared wrists and began to move down your naked body, trailing over your chest and down to your stomach. "Tell me, do you think he could be able to touch you in the way that I'm doing right now, hm? Do you think he could please you like I could?"

"Of course not," you breathed out, already starting to feel yourself melt underneath him. You'd only flirted with that guy to get his attention, and you both knew it.

"Good, so we're in agreement, then. No one else gets to touch you in the way that I do." He dipped his head down to your shoulder, gently running his tongue over the teeth marks he'd left behind. He could taste the little droplets of your blood in his mouth, that distinct coppery tang almost making him lose all of his self control.

"Joe..." you murmured softly as you watched him, sighing as you felt the kisses his mouth left on your shoulders and collarbones. "Need you, please."

"Are you sorry for earlier?" Joe's pride was much too strong to allow him to continue without hearing you apologize first. God, sometimes he could be such an asshole.

And you loved it, which is why you did exactly what he wanted you to. "I am. I'm so sorry," you cooed in a sympathetic tone, your hands instinctively trying to move to cup his face like you usually did when you were comforting him before you realized that they were still handcuffed.

His hands met where yours were stretched above your head, gently grazing his thumb along your knuckles as he leaned down to give you another kiss, a real one that was on the lips this time. "It's okay, I forgive you," he spoke into the kiss in a low and soothing tone, the one that never failed to send a pleasure-filled shiver down your spine. "Do you want me to get the keys?" He then asked in reference to how he'd restrained your hands earlier by cuffing your wrists to the bed.

"Mhm, no. That's okay," you replied as you did your best to hold onto his hands from where they rested on top of yours. Getting the message, he moved them closer, lacing his fingers through yours as you spoke. "I'm kind of liking where I'm at right now."

His lips curled upwards into a pleased smile at your words. "Yeah?" Clearly he was amused by just how much you were enjoying the handcuffs.

It was hard not to smile yourself. He was so cute, it was difficult for you to try to stay aloof and unbothered like you'd initially planned on. "Yeah, I do." Leaning up the best you could, you gave him another kiss, this one sweet and tender, just like the ones before it. "Can you bite me again, like you did earlier?"

He smirked at the question, loving the idea of getting to mark you up for the whole world to see. Of course you wanted him to bite you again, how could you not? He practically had no choice but to oblige.

Reluctantly, he pulled his lips away from yours and dipped his head back down, to the crook of your neck this time. He dragged his tongue down along your pulse point in a teasing manner before finally giving in and sinking his teeth into the flesh there. The sudden gasp that left your lips followed by a lengthy moan boosted his confidence and made you flirting with another guy just to get his attention so worth it.

"God, Joe, you drive me insane."

His smirk widened into a smug grin, absolutely loving the way you were already starting to lose yourself to him. "Yeah, and you love it." He used his tongue to clean up the little beads of blood that had been produced from the small cut his teeth had left behind on your skin. You were definitely going to have a few marks after this.

"I do, you're right. I love it and I love you." Sure, you may have been buttering him up a little bit, but that was only because you knew just how much of a tease he could be when he wanted to, and you didn't want to have to wait that long to have him. It wasn't as if you were lying or anything. You truly did mean it, every last word.

The low growl he responded with told you that your plan was working. He wasn't going to be able to hold himself back for much longer. Something about the way you told him you loved him, as if you were proclaiming yourself to him and him alone, made him crazy.

"You're so perfect, did you know that?" His hands went down to your legs, spreading them as he helped you wrap them around his waist. You back arched upwards the second you felt him sink into you, a content sigh falling from his lips. If your hands had been free, he had no doubt you'd be digging them into his back right about now. And despite your command to keep them locked up, he needed to feel that. He needed you to mark him the same way he did you.

Your hands found their way to his back the second he freed your wrists from the cuffs. One hand curled into the hair at the nape of his neck, pulling him down for a passionate kiss as the other dug into his shoulder blade, leaving behind small crescent-shaped cuts. He groaned at the feeling of your nails digging in, though he couldn't find it in him to bother telling you to stop. Not when he loved it too much.

The bed softly creaked as you moved against each other, his own hands holding onto your hips as you clung onto him for dear life. The noises that came from you sounded like music to his ears, and he couldn't stop himself from becoming rougher, faster, more desperate.

Because that's what he was, in reality. He was deseperate for you and your heavenly touch. It was no wonder he got so upset whenever you dared to entertain the idea of being this intimate with someone else.

No one could ever be this intimate with you as he could. No one could ever love you as deeply and fully as him. Not when he felt about you this strongly, as if your very souls very intertwined together.

And after this was done, and you were both marked up and tired and sweaty he would once again remind you of the fact. He loved you, and nothing was ever going to change that.

i mean… I THINK the masterpost is the easiest way to read it for now (and once you read one chapter you press “NEXT” at the end of it.)

if I would put it, let’s say, on Webtoon (which I can’t) it kind of would be the same thing. A list if chapters, when you click on one it opens the chapter with the 10-20 panels and then you click the “next” to go to the next one.

i don’t think putting all chapters from one part would be nice since it would be a super duper long list of panels (and the page would take a lot to load with so many medias) and one Part of the comic contains multiple arcs.

i’m open to suggestions though!

no, his human form doesn’t have fangs, because his human form is just a kind of glamour/shapeshift. In the AU the monkey form became his normal form (since it always has been his original form to begin with)

For Mac being exposed was the last of his issues considering that what he was seeing was Wukong at his lowest and most naked. Now excuse me while I cry.

After getting beat up a bit she decides to drink the elixir so the robber couldn’t get it. But she instead went to the moon so she could be closer to her lover. Her husband dies because he’s still mortal, and Chang’E is left be herself. I have silly little headcanon the day MK and the others went to the moon was her and her husband’s anniversary 🙃 Bye <3

His favorite days are when classes of children come in for field trips. Wukong often paints the backdrops, scenery, and other items for plays. They both enjoy their hobbies.

The Point of Alice's Death in 3-1 (Mini-Analysis)

Gonna start trying a new thing where unlike my other analyses where instead of making a long post about specific characters i make shorter ones about particular scenes in the chapter.

So while it may not be as long I still hope I'm able to make you appreciate the chapter a little more bit by bit regardless With that said I want to talk about a specific (controversial?) moment, being the Yabusames death in 3-1

I'll be focusing particularly on Alice because I'm an Alice router lmao, but I'd love if any Reko'ers were able to add their own input too!! So a common criticism of the Yabusame's death is that it "comes from nowhere". Not in the sense that Ranmaru killing them came from nowhere (I've explain already why that's just not true in my Ranmaru analysis) but in the sense that it makes no sense why they specifically were targeted rather than anyone else.

At first glace it seems like it has nothing to do with their arcs at all and the easiest answer is to just say "they just so happened to be there" but this is a story and Nankidai could have chosen anyone to be there. Yet it was them specifically, so why is that? Disregarding the fact that it couldn't be anyone else REALLY for plot reasons, (Qtaro already being dead, Keiji being trapped, Gin being needed for the Banquet and Sou because it's likely he'll be necessary for 3-2) because that doesn't feel like a real answer to me, and because I feel like there is more to it than just that. One important note to call attention to is that Alice dies exactly in the same spot as Hinako did. Obviously, this already draws a connection as Alice was the one who doomed Hinako in the first place by leaving early and "betraying" her in the First Trial.

But this also leads into what in my eyes is the most important aspect of this death, which is the fact that Alice never found out that he killed Hinako in this route. Now that may seem like a point against this death, as it kills Alice before this moment in his arc, which should be important, but stay with me for a second. One of the major points of Alice's arc is the way his character asks the question of if your even better of knowing in the first place. This is shown in one of the first major changes in his route where he actually ends up using Safalin's machine where Reko didn't

Gin tells him that it doesn't seem right what he did while Safalin affirms that she still believes her machine is one way to achieve happiness.

In particular she says "If all you have is burdens, that isn't life..."

And it's this question that seems to loom over Alice over his arc for the next chapters.

Later Alice is face to face with Midori, someone who is responsible for ruining his life, right after finding out he didn't really kill him at all, and earlier in a similar situation he acted very aggressive towards Gashu

and you'd expect him to be way more mad because he has more reason to fight with Midori. Yet when he fights...

Alice is awfully calm, something he even notices himself, and it just goes to show the change between the before and after of his choice.

Even Reko, when faced with the same choice, was fully ready to fight.

And this leads Sara to question something important

So why am I even bringing this up? Well, it's because Alice's death brings up the most extreme form of this question. When he dies here, he dies not knowing he killed Hinako, but he DOES know he didn't really kill Midori

At this point Alice is in a state where he is fully oblivious to the murder he committed, thinking that he didn't kill anyone. In a way you could call this Alice's happiest state, dying not as a "real murderer", but as an "innocent person".

But is that really a happy ending? He IS dead after all; sure he isn't a murderer anymore but still. And that's what I think his death wants to ask; Is that happiness a good thing?

Maybe once 3-2 drops we'll be able to actually get an answer to the question in Kanna's route but for now it's interesting that the possibility could even happen in the first place, and I think that will make whatever the answer is end up being, hit all the harder knowing that this was a real possibility.

But another part to death in YTTD is the effect it has on the people alive, and Alice's death does this too.

After the death Sara will think about who Alice was and what he meant as a person (and Reko too, maybe even more for her)

And their death is what finally pushes Sara to swear not to be who Midori says she is.

This scene genuinely means something to everyone in the cast, it shows Sou refusing his emotions, Gin and Sara's relationship and calling attention to his sin, showing us that YTTD won't just write him off as a kid and respects his agency in the situation, and a major moment for all the dummies (which I've talked about in each of their respective analyses).

On a more sentimental level the Yabusame's were also the ones who consistently helped Ranmaru with accepting his humanity and self-confidence, so by having him kill them specifically it shows how Ranmaru ignores those words they said representing how he denies his humanity.

And most importantly it leads us to a very important scene from Q-taro where he talks about how we are all carrying sin.

And who better as a backdrop for this moment then Alice Yabusame. Someone who spent so much of his life burdened by his sin and being unable to forgive himself for it. Reko fits in a way too with her past actions and her regretting not forgiving/believing in Alice when she had the chance. Thematically it just makes sense for them to be there, just to really hit home the message Q-taro presents.

So ultimately, I think it just makes sense for the Yabusames to have been the ones who died there and that it isn't indicative of "bad" or "lazy" writing but instead actually really well done and clever in the way it adds to their arcs while also acting as a good full stop to it too.

Through how it brings together many other characters to add a note into quite literally everyone who is present's arc, and through how it completes Alice's arc in a truly poetic way, I think not only is it not a bad choice to kill them there but actually one of the best examples of YTTD using one of its most unique strengths in its split routes for its character writing.

And I hope I was able to express just why I think that is here.

================================================================================================ AFTERWORD: So yeah, I think there is more to Yabusame's death than it can seem at first and maybe I've helped you see that too or maybe you think there is something more to add or you just think I'm insane and there isn't actually anything to it idk lol

I also understand that some people like the Yabusames and are simply mad that the route they chose ended up killing them for something they felt was out of their control, but at the end of the day this is a story and characters dying is a part of it, you can feel saddened by their death, its expected even, a death SHOULD affect you in that way, but I hope you can see how this death is so much more than that and the way its masterfully woven into the themes of their characters.

It's pretty common to see criticism of this death as "pointless" or "just for shock value" and it saddens me because there is far more to it and to Alice and Reko as characters then that and so I wanted to write this in an effort to show off just how much thought is put into them even in CH3 when it's possible they aren't even there. either way I hope you enjoyed reading this mini analysis and that I got you to think about it even a little bit more!!! Okay so, I was going to draw some- very fruity Laserblast art ngl, but this ask hit me enough I sat down, and opened my laptop to write a real response. I've also got the series on in the background. I started episode 1 when I began typing, and we'll see how far I am in the series before I finish typing it.

First of all, I love using au to refer to real life, honestly better than various timelines. And secondly

Absolutely. Every day of my life. Every time I draw one of the characters, or see fanart, or hear the VAs or- anything. Because- I'm insanely hyperfixated on this show. A disgusting amount, unhealthily. It's not normal lol.

And I do constantly think about what could have been, I mean, after all once again my favorite character is Laserblast of all things. Not Venomous, Laserblast. The version of that man that has like five minutes of screen time and no canon first name. So much so that when on the Saberspark Q&A when he came up in a question for quote "Me and the three other Laserblast fans" I cheered out loud, alone, in my apartment. I would have killed to not have to pull at removing his mask myself and Ian's one tweet calling him a himbo to show people characterization.

And honestly the wiki makes it all worse, in a loving way. What do you mean we were going to get multiple sitcom comfy style episodes where K.O. spends the weekend with his dad? I could've had more proof that Venomous isn't an abusive dad, just an unskilled and undisciplined one? I COULD'VE HAD AN EASIER TIME SEPERATING HIM AND SHADOWY TO OTHERS?!

And sure, I constantly wish that somehow someway I'll wake up and Ian will have announced the movie, the Hue Troop spin off, post finale storylines, the works.

But, on the other hand, here's why I'm grateful for what we did end up getting (this will probably be the longer section, sorrey)

tldwr (Too long don't wanna read): Cartoon Network is dead and pathetic and I don't wish that suffering upon this wonderful show.

So, something you guys can also notice from Ian's posts and the wiki, and just from what the cartoon industry is like in general, that getting what you want out of your series, storyline and representation wise and all that is actually pulling teeth.

For an example of later episodes, things like a seemingly Radmond episode getting changed to rad and mikayla. Or Voxman having to be pretty heavily censored (although I'm proud of the subtext they managed so heavily) which is partially because, and this isn't to take away from wlw rep and how hard it is to get on air, but is more difficult to get outright mlm representation simply because- it's harder to censor.

After all, it's much easier to pull a "they're just close friends!" Thing for two fem presenting characters, than it is for two masc ones. It sucks and they shouldn't have to be censored across different countries at all, but it's just- how it is.

Which is why, realistically, as cool as the movie centering around a voxman wedding would be incredible, I don't think it would've made it past S&P. Not to mention, even if it somehow did, It'd either suffer the fate of being a TV movie, getting limited as hell views, OR best worst case scenario, a box office release which would get hate bombed by people for it's- everything. Because people suck. I mean, even not counting homophobic people there's a disturbingly high chunk of this fandom that hates Voxman- because... *checks wiki* Oh yeah, "Evil people not being perfect good guys = bad representation"

Also, cartoon network was- already starting to die by now, with less funding each year in the first place. Meaning we don't know if it getting that funding was even an option as time went on. And the idea of getting a longer season three, with the reveal being drawn out another season like they wanted, and then potentially never getting closure on- any of it? That's horrible even to think about.

Sure, the entirety of season 3 was rushed as hell. And I cry about all the missing stuff we'll probably never get, because well there's not even a cartoon network building to make this stuff in anymore, I'm glad that we have a finished storyline and understanding of where arcs would've gone to fill in things ourselves. I mean, getting to look into and imagine all the things we didn't get to see is much more fun than theorizing on an unfinished story.

So, yeah, I do wish that somehow, someway, we will get more someday. I'm at least glad we got a finished storyline and an ending that, while rushed, is still one of my favorites. I love let's fight to the end so much, I love how much I hate shadowy figure, and I love that I can be here making content for you guys!

-I would have to tell him to tone down the ice prince behaviour. how are you almost 30 and still calling yourself "the brutal beast" 😭

-he's so tall?? +1 for that

-he deserves the world.

-i'm starting to notice a pattern in this list with the blondies with lore...

-i don't know how we'd even get close in the first place, considering I don't like conflict (and this man loves fighting)

-but he's considerate of MC's emotions in several routes so that's good

-YOU HAVE BUNNIES?? MULTIPLE OF THEM?? marry me rn /j

-he also doesn't seem like the person to like loud people but then again he lives with Yuki and Shingen (and they're chaotic in and of themselves)

-one thing i would definitely have an issue with is when he tries to keep the MC "all to himself" by KIDNAPPING HER. oh absolutely not.

-final rating: 3/10 potentially friends, but would NOT date him

Hideyoshi (Ikemen Sengoku)

-don't like the hostility towards MC in the beginning stages but he gets better towards her so it's fine

-i don't know how i feel about his many female admirers

-he's really kind though and pays attention to details (which I do not) so that's a plus

-i can respect his dedication to nobunaga

-the fact he has a MONKEY as a pet is adorable.

-he's also very justice-aligned, so thats also a plus

-don't really have much to say other than he's a good guy 👍

-final rating 6/10 we could be friends :)

Jonah (Ikemen Revolution)

-i'm sorry trying to arrest the MC as soon as she falls into Cradle is a big no

-he can be super nice but at the same time super insensitive to other people and I don't think I can get past that

-also not a big fan of expensive gifts, especially when we just met

-he likes sweets though and so do I so he at least has one redeeming quality

-not much other things to say here.
