DONE WITH IT DECEMBER

I didn't participate in "No Nuance November" because I temporarily forgot "No Nuance November" was a thing. So now I'm doing "Done With It December" because there's a lot of things a I'm done with and if you don't like what I have to say. The block button exists for a reason. No one is forcing you to stick around.

1. It's "Pop Culture Entity" not "Pop Culture Deity". Not every spirit or entity is a deity (or can be called a deity) especially not if they weren't considered a deity in their source myth. If the entity wasn't considered a deity of any kind from whichever pop culture media they originate from than they aren't a "pop culture deity" they're a "pop culture entity"

2. You're just as much as a problem if you don't hold large creators (creators in general), especially your favourite creators accountable for their behaviour and their actions.

3. Communities become toxic when the members apart of said community (i.e. witchtok) don't nip the problem in the bud from the get go and instead let it fester into something it wouldn't have if people had put their foot down from the start.

4. A lot of y'all on this app (especially witchtok and basically every other metaphysical and spiritual community) are hypocrites and really need to stop lying to yourselves.

5. If you're set on sharing your UPG/SPG on this app (or any other kind of social media) make sure that your sharing your UPG/SPG responsibly, by indicating that one; that what your sharing is your own UPG/SPG and two; not sharing your UPG/SPG in a way that makes it seem like your UPG/SPG is the absolute fact or more factual than anyone else's UPG/SPG. When it's not.

6. You don't have any place to try and dictate another's practice or shame another practitioner just because it's different than yours or different than what you've experienced. Your way is not and will never be the only way and that thinking sounds very dogmatic.

7. Yes, the human can propose a spousalship (or any other kind of relationship). No, it's not disrespectful to the spirit, entity, deity etc. just because YOU think it's disrespectful. You don't have any right or any place to decide what a spirit, entity, deity etc. does or doesn't consider disrespectful and sure you can back up your claim with "oh XYZ told me that themselves" but that's not a valid reason because one, you're obviously biased against this, so you'll perceive their response in ways that fit your perception and two, your personal experience doesn't trump anyone else's personal experience.
