So I don't remember if it's part of the Chasm quest or if it's the interlude between Inazuma and Sumeru but Dain comes back for his yearly appearance (🫶) and we tour the underground, upside down city and learn where the abyss goes to "die"

And at one point, we stumble upon like 3 hilichurls that r dying and- as Aether!Traveler- we see next to them is Lumine's Inteyvats that 1) show her presence and 2) show her connection/existence at the time of the cataclysm??? Maybe??? (Idk bro there's too much time travel/loop lore and it's messing with me T-T)

But if ur playing with Lumine, what do u see? Bc as far as ik Abyss Aether doesn't look any different from player Aether other than u kno... visibly more squinty and evil so he wouldn't have flowers to leave behind methinks???

Idk I'm just curious about how some of the cutscenes play out based on the twin u pick if anyone would like to help pls and thanc🙏

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

appalachia is devastated. towns i loved, towns i visited all the time, are gone. not damaged, GONE. they are leveled to the ground. there is nothing left but rubble and ruin. people are dead. appalachia is poor to begin with and relies on tourism for a lot of its income, and multiple of those tourist locations are just...gone.

my town is okay, but it's flooded and wrecked. trees are blocking all but one way out of our neighborhood. power lines are hanging limp in the roads. we've been without power for over 24 hours and will continue to be without power for likely another 24+. disabled people and poor people are GOING to die from this. gods save appalachia.
