Alt text: over a painting of a discussion by the Founding Fathers of the US Constitution prior to its signing, the caption "1776" and the quote from contemporary publications about the Constitution "Our President is not a King, nor is our Senate a house of Lords." Below that, a composite photo of the five most radical conservative members of the US Supreme Court, with the caption "2024" and the words "LOL, no, Trump is a king." Below that, a summary caption saying "The Supreme Court: we're smarter than the Founding Fathers."

Within the first 72 hours of Trumps’s illegitimate (because insurrectionist are barred from holding office) second term we saw unconstitutional dictatorial decrees (executive orders gives too much validity to these unlawful orders), we saw repeals of the equal opportunity act, instated by LBJ, we saw the beginning stages of “schedule F” removing nonpartisan bureaucrats from their fields of expertise (authoritarians hate any expertise that would contradict their lies), we saw a dictatorial decree denying the existence of trans Americans, we saw Trump show absolute disrespect to police officers and American democracy itself by pardoning ALL the Jan 6th insurrectionists, including the leaders of the Proud Boys and The Oath Keepers, openly white supremest groups, we saw Trump repeal the price restrictions on pharmaceutical drugs enacted through Biden, causing prices to rise over 1000% in some cases, we saw Trump give a green light to the oil industry to pillage public lands that belong to the American people. We also saw Trump’s homie, Elon Musk give the solute of that party in Germany from WWII (don’t want the algorithm to suppress my post by using the German N word), heard Trump basically say that Elon “knows computers, those sweet vote counting computers. And we won Pennsylvania in a landslide” idiotically confessing to rigging the election, and Trump stock his cabinet with the makers of the dystopian manifesto, Project 2025 which he said he wouldn’t and didn’t even know them.
Meanwhile the price of eggs has risen nearly $2, the war in Ukraine still rages on, and the promises made on the campaign go unheeded.
Due to the cowardice of Republicans, an archaic system of representation still in place to appease slave states, the deception of the American people by corporations and the wealthy through the ungodly corrupt ruling on Citizens United, the complacency of the mainstream media to report on this, and the racism and ignorance of maga, this will be white washed, barely reported, or ignored all together.
This lack of a ruling by the North Carolina Supreme Court is a huge win, not simply in comparison to the losses dealt to the Constitution, marginalized groups, and the rule of law, but for democracy itself!
Trump gave the permission structure to straight denial of election results, knee capping the very foundation of our democracy. Showing those who have no respect for our country that it’s acceptable to violate the will of the people in their pursuit of power.
The National Republican Party in collaboration with this Republican judicial candidate had the intention to test the waters of their antidemocratic ideas on election denialism, and it failed after a long fought battle.
The courts are the only hope in protecting this country from the complete dismantling of our democratic constitutional republic, and as of today, we can mark a win on the pro-democracy side.
The road will be long, the fight will be brutal, and the need for resistance imperative. Yet we will defeat this authoritarian regime together with the help of judges who hold true to their oath.
Not all is lost. We have to keep up the resistance and not capitulate.
No kings in America friends! Hail democracy!

Trump being declared king by the Supreme Court didn't happen out of nowhere.
The radical conservative project has been underway for decades. They play the long game. The Supreme Court takeover by radical zealots is a critical element, which is now helping the billionaire class achieve its most cherished goals.

Life and Liberty for All Who Believe (1982) is a documentary produced by Norman Lear's People For the American Way.
It features Burt Lancaster trashing Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, and Heritage Foundation founder Paul Weyrich for their extremism and bigotry.
The film chronicled the first massive meeting of the religious right, held in Dallas, Texas in 1980, where Paul Weyrich famously proposed voter suppression as winning tactic for far-right Republicans.

Okay so I just HAD to comment after seeing this fuckery;
Tumblr media
If you don’t know, Trump made a comment how if he gets back in office, he’ll be Dictator for a Day:
youtube
And when you couple that with his comments of wanting to rip up the constitution:
youtube
And the fact he’s buddy buddy with fucking DICTATORS:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And STOLE CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE:
Tumblr media
How the FUCK can these people claim they’re “True ‘Muricans’” yet support a fucking TRAITOR?! Not even joking, Trump is a fucking TRAITOR and we should ALL prevent him from coming into the White House because he is a THREAT to America’s security.
Sorry for the rant I just had to say this because these dumbasses do NOT know what is in store for a dictatorship.
Basically your life will no LONGER be your own and EVERYTHING you do will be in the hands of the government. EVERYTHING from internet usage to the clothes you wear.
Let’s prevent all of this by voting blue. 🙏

City Spirits awaken.
So! City Spirts are basically God's sustained by the people in their Cities. Some are Gods born from the belief and people of a City, others are God's who Bind themselves to Cities to sustain themselves in periods of low worship.
Almost all Major Population Centers have some kind of City Spirit bound to them.
The Personification of Los Angeles who slept with Constantine was born from her City, but she was young and weak compared to other City Spirits.
Lady Gotham is an Ancient Spirit who holds immense Power, but purposefully bound herself to the new and growing city of Gotham so she could sleep for a few millenia without worrying about sustaining Worship. She has been asleep for Centuries.
Actually, most City Spirits are Asleep.
Millenia Ago, the most powerful Gods and Spirits of the Infinite Realms fled the Rule of Pariah Dark. They didn't agree with his ambitions to conquer the Living Realm, and didn't want to let him use their Power against the Living Realm either.
So they Bound themselves to newly forming Cities and put themselves into Deep Sleep to avoid his Control. They have been asleep for Millenia now, waiting for the day Pariah would be overthrown so they could return to the Infinite Realms safely.
Then they day came. A New King was Crowned.
And the Cities began to wake up.

hold on, I saw the tags of the tattoo post. covid happened in Peter's universe?????
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So my Hunt!Peter's fangs are NOT retractable, though @thistleraven's Peter's fangs absolutely are!
Peter has spent over a decade basically keeping his mouth closed. He's (in)famous for his closed-lipped smiles and pursed grins. When he does crack a laugh, it's usually either laughing through his nose or on the extremely rare occasion, behind his hand. When he eats, it's in tiny bites, etc. etc.
When Peter gets excited (adrenaline/arousal/etc.), and his fangs start producing venom, he usually starts talking through his teeth and swallowing a lot.
Most people (including Wade) don't consider the closed-mouth stuff to be anything weird. Some people have tics or quirks that don't mean anything. And Peter knows better than to call attention to it. (He misses COVID -a totally normal thing to say- but wearing a face-mask on the reg is just asking for people to try and peek under it.)
Spidey on the other hand, is MUCH more expressive. Something about the weight of the mask on his head is psychologically freeing. However, sometimes habits bleed through and Spidey ends up doing something that gives Wade extreme deja vu.
