YO YO YO I HAD AN AMAZING ANIMATION IDEA AND I WANTED ADVICE 😔

Like I never animated or anything, I rarely do digital so I was wondering if you had any tips I could use!

Also my animation idea was Nimona and Gloreth on Bernadette by IAMX since I already had an idea in my head

Well, I've been animating for over 4 years now and most of the time I've been using the app Flipaclip for animating (without premium). If you want to make a frame by frame animation (or idk) I would recommend this app, but if you don't want to make a complicated frame by frame animation or whatever is too complicated for you, I'd say you should use ibis paint for painting and alight motion or capcut for editing to make a simple animatic. I wouldn't really say it's simple, but it's easier than making an animation that takes A LOT longer.

If you already know what to use then I think you should start sketching the ideas you have for the animation. I'd also recommend watching tutorials if you wanna make an animatic and don't have any ideas how to use an editing app!

If you're using Flipaclip, PLEASE don't buy premium, but if you want to, then it's your decision of course! Personally I wouldn't buy it because you can just watch ads, but if you wanna get rid of the watermark, you can't watch ads to remove it. You have to buy premium for that.

If you are better at traditional art, I'd say you should sketch everything you need on paper, then take a picture and then redraw it digitally. I've never done that before, but I think it might be easier for you.

Lastly, BE PATIENT. An animation/animatic can take A LOT of time and after some time you might lose motivation or you feel like you can't finish this. You have to take breaks! Since this is a 5 minute long song, it can take VERY long for you to finish this animation (I don't know if you want to make it shorter or not). Most of my animations take over 3 days to finish, but most of them were short (20-50 seconds).
