IMO, I love this game a whole lot but very rarely through the Siege of Weisshaupt did I truly feel like the game considered me a Warden who was there, risking it all with my brethren, with actual skin in the actual game. One throwaway line in ambient dialogue with Davrin was truly not enough.

Sometimes I think I'd love to get a glimpse of what landed on the cutting room floor.

a problem i have sometimes is i want to explain how i see kris as putting up personas and fractures of self to protect a really vital core to their sense of self and identity, becoming the knight and kris-the-hero and the prankster weird kid and the quiet good kid and so on to obscure the truth, but every time i try wording it i remember the best terminology i have for it and refuse to inflict it on y'all

Universe: Lindbow Kink Club (Original Universe)

Working Title: Take the Reins, #Take The Reins WIP

Rating: Explicit (eventually) Snippet CW: Mention of alcohol.

Synopsis: I'm still figuring that out. I'm writing in the universe I mentioned building here, based on Tacked Up (and by proxy, Dragon's Kinktober 2024 piece that goes with it).

AKA: Something something denying yourself is stupid because it just ends up hurting everyone around you and you're miserable? Embracing your true self is good? Something something something not all kink-based relationships are romantic and/or sexual. It's my sandbox, I'm going to play in it.

AKA AKA: I had like 3 scraps of stories that weren't going anywhere and so I'm throwing them in this soup to see what comes of it. 🤷‍♀️

“You should come with us to Lindbow some time.” 

Rowan narrows her eyes at Elliot, idly swirling her cider as she ponders his proposition. The bubbles twinkle, reflecting the patio lights as they pop against the surface. “Why?” 

“Because, it’d be fun!” Paige answers for him, leaning in with her hand on Rowan’s leg. Her smile’s infectious, and she gestures excitedly. “Dress up, wear that slinky silk number you have, spice things up a little! Maybe find you a cute boytoy to go home with! Or girl." Her brow wrinkles as she ponders the options before brightening up again. "Oooh! Or both! Both is good.”

Elliot reaches out to take his wife’s glass by the top as she waves her hands around, entreating Rowan to join them in their escapades. He presses a gentle kiss to her temple before relinquishing the glass back to her. She takes it greedily, holding the bowl with both hands and grinning with flushed cheeks as she takes a sip. She snuggles in against Elliot’s broad chest, tipping her face up to receive a soft kiss from him. 

The patio fireplace flickers, propane fueled flames twisting in the gentle breeze. 

Rowan pretends to be considering the offer by staring at her cider, watching the inverted flames dance in the liquid. Really, she’s stalling, hoping Paige’s flighty nature leads them down another topic of conversation before she has to answer.
