Dear Humanity,

My name is Hazem, and I am 27 years old, living in the Gaza Strip with my wife, Nadra, who is 26 and expecting our first child. We led a simple life until the recent war devastated everything, forcing us to flee multiple times. We now live in a tent on the streets, facing unbearable conditions.

In addition to the war, I lost my father, and our home, my store, and everything we worked for were destroyed. As I prepare to become a father, I am deeply concerned about the future of our unborn child and the care my wife needs during her pregnancy.

I'm writing a new post because old ones don't get reblogged as much - as if the need for donations goes away the moment post is 4 days old. And even if they do get reblogs, they don't translate to donations.

So. This is a new post for Falastin even though nothing changed. There's literally nothing new to tell, all the horrors are still the same as they were a week or a month ago and they still could die any moment. But saying everything once again:

I’ve seen campaigns soar past their goals, bringing hope to families barely holding on. But I’ve also seen campaigns like mine, ones that fight tooth and nail for every single dollar, every reblog, every addition, and every ounce of hope. My family’s lives depend on this.

It hasn’t been easy. Zionists flood all Palestinian words with hate, twisting truths and spreading lies. They aim to discredit us, to make people doubt us. It’s exhausting. Some nights, I sit with my phone in my hands, wondering if this fight is too big for me. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR AND THIS GENOCIDE HASN’T STOPPED

@falastin-iw has been fundraising for her family for A WHOLE YEAR and she still hasn’t met her goal yet. She’s been working so fucking hard to keep tabs on her family and has been writing her heart out for people to help her and her family and yet progress is still so slow. The most recent donation was just ONE hour ago. Israel’s attacks on Palestine keep getting more and more violent and we literally have no clue how long the people of Palestine can hold on for. Palestinians are going through actual HELL trying to survive and provide for their families while Israel is trying to stop ANY aid that’s going into Gaza. Israel WANTS these families to starve and be wiped off of the face of the earth. I’m not sure how much convincing you need to act. Just recently men, women, children were burning ALIVE in their tents in the yard of a hospital, housing the displaced people that were forced out of their homes. Massacres keep growing and growing and babies are starving to death because NO AID IS FUCKING GETTING IN. Please, whatever money you have can do so much for a palestinian family. It does not matter if it’s one dollar or five it could literally CHANGE their life. It could help feed a baby, provide clothing for a toddler, provide blankets or a tent to shield a family away from the winter or the heat, could help them take transportation to flee, it could help them escape this genocide. I’ve been speaking with Falastin ever since she joined tumblr and no matter how much pressure she is under she still is so so so polite and sweet. It breaks my heart that her family is living through this genocide. I am begging you to PLEASE help her in any way you can. She has lost SO many family members we cannot let any more be martyred. She has a life of her own and gets busy like the rest of us, she can’t always update us on how her family is doing so it is our job to keep spreading her g-f-m around and helping her in any way we can.

Halloween Horror Atlas - Horror Movies From Around the US and World

With Halloween coming up, I thought I would share a project ive been working on for years now: recording horror movies by setting from around the world.

This has been a project 6 years in the making and in that time I have recorded 6342 horror movies, shorts and miniseries by the US state or country. For some visual context, here is a map, orange are countries I have found something set in

Is seeing the same post on your dash tiring for you?

What do you think Palestinians feel after almost a year of the same bombs that sometimes even drop on the same place, same lies about a 'ceasefire', same same indifference towards their suffering?

Just because a post highlighting a fundraiser was made a day, a week, a month ago doesn't mean it's not worth sharing. So many campaigns were created months ago and received little or no support at all. All while needing funds more than ever.

Just in the last 24 hours IOF committed 4 massacres, resulting in 23 martyrs and 101 injuries - and that's just the people who could reach the hospitals or were found; many are still under the rubble or blocked from ambulances in other ways.

"The toll from the "israeli" aggression has risen to 41,638 martyrs and 96,460 injuries since October 7th of last year." - from today's Palestinian Ministry of Health news. And again, that's the people they could count - people whose scattered remains were dug up by their families, people who were injured and died while on their way to the hospital or in it (either from wounds or getting bombed in there too).

IOF sees your indifference and continues it's aggression on Lebanon. After all, if they can get away with a year (76 years) of genocide, why not start another one?

Only 3 days ago I've made a vent post [here] about how a fundraiser I've been spotlighting received less and less donations in the last week. And guess what? It still gets some reblogs. And guess what? It's stagnating again despite that.

If you can share the same 'tumblr heritage' post time and time again, if you can share same posts from various gimmick blogs, you can handle some repetition on your dash. What makes you react to what's happening in Gaza? and What makes you care about human lives? Is it empathy, ideology, culture, religion, knowledge, or something else that compels you to feel and act?

What would push your government to stop saying, "Israel has the right to defend itself"? What would make columnists stop focusing on self defense and what the demonstrators or students are doing "wrong" and instead use their platform to pressure their government to do what's "right" to stop this ongoing genocide? When did you start caring, and when will you start acting?

Is it when you have Palestinian friends?

When Palestinian children begged for food, safety, and water?

When over 45000 Palestinians had been killed & 98000 injured ?

When left-wing political parties around the world started criticizing Israel?

When Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations sounded the alarm for years?

When protesters took to the streets every week? Do you still hear their voices?

When human rights organizations like Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch documented the atrocities? Was 60 years of human rights violations not enough?

When journalism associations worldwide recorded an unprecedented number of journalists killed in such a short period?

When UN agencies like the World Food Program or UNRWA reported on the humanitarian disaster and worsening famine?

When aid organizations like Doctors Without Borders or the Red Cross warned of the total collapse of healthcare?

When child rights organizations like Save the Children or UNICEF constantly reported on children’s acute physical and mental health crises?

When your employer gave you permission to speak out?

Are you waiting for Joe Biden to say the red line has been crossed and stop sending weapons?

Or are you waiting for Donald Trump to say the magic words: "Enough is enough"?

Or for Benjamin Netanyahu to say "Oh sorry that was a mistake"?

Or are you waiting for God Almighty to come down and say, "Enough is enough"?

Or for the most extreme elements in the Israeli government to say, "Now we can stop bombing"—but will there be any Palestinians left in Gaza by then?

Or will you stop waiting and act now, driven by empathy, knowledge, and solidarity with people who are being oppressed right in fornt or your eyes?

I’ve lost over 200 family members, friends, and neighbors in this genocide. I have 24 of my family’s members and 2 orphaned children, trapped in a makeshift tent and struggling to survive in this freezing winter in Gaza. Is that not enough to move you to act? Tell me then when ?—when will your humanity compel you to step in? Please, act now and donate!

i am truly running out of tactics to get eyes on falastin's fundraiser. it's been 11 months of this accelerated violence. surely we all know by now how dire the situation in gaza is, right? please don't get complacent. don't get used to this.

falastin has 24 family members she needs to evacuate, including vulnerable people like an infant and her elderly mother, who cannot find medicine.

they have been displaced several times. they live in a patched together tent of scrap plastic and fabric.
