yeah agreed, sans goes out of his way to not talk to/with papyrus about their life before the underground. remember the newsletter q&a? (this is more a theory, but judging from their behavior i personally think papyrus is an amnesiac/sans thinks he is, and he's trying to spare him the grief of remembering).

his memories and mementos are stored behind his house for a reason, he's had his realization that he'll never go back already: there's no sense in reopening that wound again if he has an option to avoid the topic.

What kinda worries me about Vincent's route rn is not being able to trigger it. The current romance options are too crazy, as you said, and it doesn't work at all for my MC so i'm just not choosing them, and i'm kinda worried i'll miss special dialogue because i don't have enough romance points with him? Maybe it could be nice if there were some less intense options for MC or choices that aren't necessarily romantic in nature but still count for the romance? Just so ppl who want to romance him with more introverted MCs don't get "left behind" if it makes sense. Maybe i'm overthinking this...

I guess you skimmed through the indications tutorial, which reminded me to put it in the extras part later to avoid confusion, but the flirting options aka ❤️‍🔥 options don't trigger the routes. 😅

The options with 💗 trigger the romance route, the ❤️‍🔥 options show attraction toward the character and may trigger flings (which not all characters have). Vincent has a sexual only route which can be unlocked by choosing the ❤️‍🔥 options and that can later develop into romance when 💗 options start showing up.

As of right now, no MC has romantic points with Vincent. Because there aren't any 💗 options in the game.

Like I said in my previous post, I won't be adding any normal flirting options until later when there's actual depth in their relationship. The first sexual scene with Vincent fits the crazy shameless MC (although it is a bit trickier to unlock), I didn't put the choices to be this way just because yes, it fits the storyline.

Every route has special dialogue, you will miss out on scenes that only the shameless MCs get if your MC is not that way. That's just how it is.

For example, unkind MCs missed out on dialogue in Chapter 4 with Vincent, it happens.

I can put less intense but equally shameless and crazy ❤️‍🔥 options but I don't think they'll fit your MC and from what you say I doubt you'd even want to go through the sexual only to romantic route with Vincent. 😭

But if you do want to, you'll have the chance later on when things are more normal than now without flirting shamelessly. 🫶

Hey all! So I won't be answering any more like super specific questions that tailor to certain types of MCs. I just feel like me answering those questions 1. limits fan content and 2. it's hard to expand on the STNAF lore when those are all the questions I get. I hope you all understand!

What kind of long term future does Beast see for himself? What kind of long term future are *you* interested in seeing for Beast?

Beast doesn't know actually what kind of future he sees for himself. It's part of the point of his character, he's only 18, only just an adult. He fully expects to slowly take charge of a dying family line and have to find a partner to continue the line in the vain and desperate attempt for the family tree to limp along long enough until somehow the curse can be lifted. He expects to eventually lose himself to the curse, or fall to the local villagers or some tragic hunting accident. He doesn't want that but it's kind of the only plan in his mind and he's scared of letting his family down and getting them stuck in eternal suffering if he fails.

As for my idea of his future, I imagine him eventually getting to actually find the (now probably lich) warlock that originally cursed his family and defeating him or otherwise convincing him to remove the curse. Then probably settling outside the forest somewhere his own. I kind of like the idea of him ending up bodyguard/second-in-command/boyfriend for whatever nonsense (crimes probably) Nowhere would get up to after whatever storyline.

(Also on a slight aside, I feel like even after the curse is broken his grandmother would stay in the Growling Woods until she died, and his aunt might take some time outside the woods but eventually would return to settle down and claim the family home (possibly starting her own family, ensuring the Growling Woods keeps the "mysterious monsters" reputation). Beast's mom, though, I feel like, would revel in the adventure of leaving the woods as well and maybe...eventually...find another husband and Beast would get little half-siblings who are the first members of the family born in many many generations without the curse mutations.)

I wonder... why do the fae trick humans into the Fae Realm? Is it because it is in their inherit nature to trick us into their realm, or does it do deeper than that? I would see how they might hate us.. (points to deforestation, climate change, etc.) and that might fuel their hatred towards us.

But surely they know that the fault of a few is not the fault of all? I would make sense but not really? Do you understand what i'm trying to say because i'm not the greatest at explaining myself..

It's mostly just because it's their nature. It's a part of their culture to play around with words and meanings, and it's heavily built into their way of living. Fae will even trick and trade with each other, not just mortals. They just expect you to know more for the most part.

It's also a show of power to be able to trick a mortal, especially one that is a challenge, and certain fae like to one-up each other, so that tends to play a part too.

✦゜ANSWERED: I've answered this numerous times, and it's also in the FAQ tag, but Ren would still want to be Angel's #1 priority!! So long as they put Ren first, go to him before anyone else, and prioritise him over their friends and family, he'll be happy. The only main difference is that he'll be a platonic yandere as opposed to a romantic one.

hibiscia!!! Sorry if youve explained before but is there something specific about reset-remember fics that you hate? I don't really like them either but for me it's just because I feel like a lot of authors type sans in very ooc ways

They're completely antithetical to Sans' character arc for the sake of cheap and easy angst. The nature of his brand of cosmic horror isn't in reliving his life again and again, that's Flowey's. Sans knows OF the anomaly, knows that it's manipulating time and knows it's a threat to the entire universe, but he doesn't know how or why, because he doesn't remember.

And that's crucial! him being mostly in the dark in spite of the MANY warning signs about us... because it's in that doubt that he remains hopeful. YES we could potentially end the world... but what if we don't? yes we have unimaginable power over everyone else and we can bring back time, but what if we're just.... sad? he needs that gap in his knowledge so he can take a leap of faith across it, it's his entire character arc in the pacifist run. sans THINKS he's given up, he wants to have given up, he chose to do it because there's a comfort in that. in contenting yourself with good food and bad laughs. there's peace. but he hasn't given up, not really. on himself? maybe. but not in us.

there's no way to have that arc if he remembers resets.
