Firstly, I'm sorry for keeping you waiting.

Secondly, this is the first time I see the prototype form the ninjago movie and WOW.

Now. I'll tell you about the hair and how it looks.

I needed to draw some of them to explain how it looks, BUT I'M WARNING I CAN'T DRAW? so it's littelary basics..

NOW-

Kai

In the beginning Kai very similar to the canon.

He was short messy hair. He also uses hair gel to make his hair look like his father's, but doesn't go too well with it.

With time passing by with the ninjas, Kai allows himself to experiment with his hair a little.

He doesn't need to work in the field every day, like he used to, so he doesn't need a short too practical hair. Moreoved he has more time to take care of his hair.

Kai growing his hair out and in the beginning of the season 5 he decises to dye a few strands red.

Because One red is his favourite color and Two to show indirectly support towards his sister (because well Nya is the fire ninja and her costume is red)

Kai still uses hair gel, but doesn't try to make his hair look like their father's.

Kai has red highlightd until the end end of the season 6.

The whole Nadakam mess/situation had a big impact on him and Cole, but in the end Kai got more even confidence, because of that.

After that Cole helps Kai dye his hair strands blue and it last to season 7.

AND HERE WE COME TO SEASON 8

I might have depicted it wrong in the drawing, but his hair is generally long..

In season 8 Kai's hair are lighty dyed to blue.

He uses way more gel than before and tries to shape it to some sort of wave. (I wanted to make some sort of mix from the canon, but well Kai's hair are hard to draw.)

They are very long so at home he sometimes puts it in a ponytail or braids it. (I wasn't able to draw) Very rarely, but he does.

Next Nya!!!

Nya

At the beginning her hair look just like in the canon, but there are still some changes.

Nya straightens her hair every day because it is naturally light wavy.

She keeps them also short and Kai cuts them regularly, since always.

It's almost tradition for them.

After Reboot season Nya is very devastated by Zane's death.

She blamed herself to a large extent for contributing to overwork and not performing basic routine activities in her life.. And she often forgot to straighten her hair.. She was a mess.

Her hair then were similar to her mother's.

Nya wasn't a fan of this look. She thought that short hair like hers, looked better as straight.

Nevertheless in the season 4, Jay commented that her hair were pretty. Nya started thinking about growning her hair, but wasn't sure.

She finally made her decision in season 5, after seeing that Kai started changing his hair-style.

In the season 5, when Kai dyed his hair, Nya was impressed and decided to do the same.

So during season 6 both Nya and Kai had had the same red streaks of hair.

NOW SEAOSON 8!

In the season 8 Nya decided to experiment with her hair.

She decided to grow them very long, but also wanted them to be part shaved. (Like on the picture)

She also decided to dye her hair on the sides red.

She stopped using the hair straightener a long time ago.

Fun fuct, Nya has to shave regulary and sometimes Kai or Jay help her with that.

HAHA I'm not the one who just wasted my time analyzing Kaia's hairstyles and styling on Pinterest juzt to do this! NOT AT ALL- (jokes)

I'll try to do my best to give you as much as I can. For now I'm trying to analizę his personality and tramua and how it'll have impact on each season.

For example.. I didn't mentioned it on Tumbrl, but on my work on ao3 "Master of Water" it's lightly mentioned by Kai, that he's afraid of forgetting his parents.

He's afraid because he can't remmeber their voices and barely remember their faces without fotos.

But that's not the sceariest part.

He and Nya lost them at young age.

But Nya (as the younger one, who was basically raised by Kai alone) doesn't recall any memories of their parents.

For her that are just some bunch of people that she hadn't ever meet.

THIS. This is scary for Kai.

He's scared, that one day he'll forget about the people that at dearest to his heart.

That he'll feel/remember nothing like his sister or it'll be just meaningless.

In season 5 Kai in the end overcomes this fear and his fear of water, thinking everything will be alright with his new family.

He starts living water and his power.

BUT THEN WE COME TO THE SEABOUND/CRYSTALISED PART-

Kai forgets about everything for over a year. Friends, paretns, boyfriend, sensei and his dear sister that he promised to protect.

Still as the one with the water Kai, when unexpectedly he remembers his sister, Kai is desperate and scared to come back.

He starts calling everyone he knows in the lantern in hope of saving him. He's scared and desperate. because he's afraid that in a second he'll forget again.

Then when Kai came back to normal everyting is diffrent.

His relationship with his own element is basiclly love-hate. Ups and downs.. In the infinity..

Kai is torn apart in crystalised.

He doesn't have powers and he feels both sad and relifed.

Sad because he can protect his family as good as before, but relived because this power made him forget everything what was the most important to him.

Moreover Kai sometimes feels of, while looking at the sea. As if he were in a trance, which is a side-effect of being one with the water for over a year.

....This guy needs therapy.

Anyway, I wrote myself off a bit..

I have a question for you. After the events of “The Mind is Not a Vessel to be Filled”, how do you think Skylor and Neuro made up after the betrayal? Since the next time we see them, they’re great friends? Was there any awkward conversations? Did Neuro hold a grudge for a bit? Did Skylor lose sleep from the guilt of having thrown everyone under the bus?

Sorry I just love the friendship dynamic between Skylor and Neuro and need more interactions and them working out issues.

Hey! Glad to hear that my first Ninjago fic in a long time is still out there inspiring people and giving them a nice story to read! The Neuro and Skylor friendship means so much to me. I headcanon Neuro as having grown up in a very similar situation to Skylor: his father was missing and his mother was quite neglectful, so he understands her hardships and pains and tat kind of turmoil an upbringing like that brings. Their relationship is heavily based on a mutual respect and understanding for each other, knowing how each of their minds works and what makes them different from other people. Skylor needs touch, and Neuro indulges her. Neuro needs quiet, and Skylor gives that to him. To me, they are the queerplatonic relationship of all time.

Honestly, I could fill a whole Tumblr post with ramblings about Neuro and his dynamics with other Ninjago characters but I don't think anybody wants to hear that lmao.

I think the aftermath of the Tournament wasn't super easy on them, definitely the rockiest part in their bond. Neuro probably wasn't as forgiving as Kai was, not that I think anyone blames him. But I don't think he was as mad at Skylor believed him to be. Once he got to understand who the real Skylor was, and not just the persona she put on for the Tournament, a lot of pieces clicked into place for him. It didn't excuse her actions, but Neuro realized why she made the decisions she did and that helped him forgive her.

Neuro in the show is pretty wishy-washy and I think a lot of people forget that. He moves to what serves him at the moment, what guarantees his survival, even if that means drastically jumping ship. I know everyone treats him like the straight man to a lot of the Elemental Masters, but that's what he wants you to think lmao. Neuro is also emotional and easily distressed when put in a tense or uncomfortable position; he struggles to maintain his crafted persona when in the heat of the moment. And in my AU, he definitely got the sense that after knowing Skylor was his soulmate, he couldn't survive without her and she couldn't survive without him. That led to them having some very tough and heavy conversations with each other, but much needed conversations indeed. Neuro, for a psychic, doesn't seem to do mind games and is pretty blunt. He speaks his mind. For Skylor, it probably felt pretty good to finally drop the pretense of pretending to be someone she's not and being able to be open and honest for once, feeling what she feels instead of what others want her to feel. I think that's why these two work so well together: they communicate. They let down their walls to be their true selves around each other. And it's why Neuro couldn't give two shits about Skylor dating Kai (aside from the obvious incompatible orientations lmao), because they've established boundaries and they respect them.

Wow, this got out of hand fast. I'm sorry, I just have so many thoughts about these two.

(inspired by a load of other AU's I've seen but main one is by spinchips ao3 fic with zane having two diff personalities)

Zane and my boy Zayne! I mostly named ice emperor that because calling him IE just seems either too long or too short but onward to lore.

Lore

Timeline: Post-never realm when the ninjas came back to ninjago.

After zane got fixed up from 6 decades worth of damage and leftover ice that was stuck on his body, PIXAL asked if she could scan him, it was reasonable for him to be scanned and zane agreed since of course. Anything could've been on his mind, and maybe get rid of any rust here and there. But upon checking she found some old persona in him. Soon as she saw it she went to check the switch on zane.

And the switch was absolutely demolished, as it was close to where Zayne mainly added ice on, meaning that along with his other internal machines and the switch are very broken, PIXAL attempted to fix everything along with Jay and nya but the switch, was unfortunately unable to be fixed as it looked like to be the one part of zane that Zayne kept playing around with out of curiosity and the discovery of flipping it made him far less emotional. To the point it was to no use anymore due to decades of on and off and so forth. Giving zane a constant serious and Unserious and different persona's at all time.

The switch was vitle, and without it could make zane unfixable. So to take it off was just a lose lose situation. And therefore dear ice emperor Zayne became a second persona of zane. Though less hostile after seeing they aren't any harm to him and are in fact his friends, tho still very bitter lloyd technically defeated him by mere words and also Kai for his fire ability which opposed his.

Due to this, every ninja in the temple got used to zaynes sudden appearance even when they were talking to zane, both weren't so far from each other since zane and Zayne are passive, adaptable, hard to beat emotionally, and way too intelligent for robots. Though unlike before, Zayne still has the same voice since voicebox isn't connected to the switch and why his voice was so deep before when he was an emperor was because his voicebox was rusting. They would know if they switched, zayne = a little ruder than zane and zane = less quieter than zayne.

Personality

Zayne: he's far wiser than any of the ninjas, second to master wu due to him existing for 6 decades, and so technically he's older than zane.

His way of speech is different and due to speaking the language of the never realm so much, he has an accent. I don't even know if the never realm/ninjago is supposed to be Chinese or Japanese but I like to think Zayne would Have a slight old Japanese accent similar to master wu.

Knowing the ninjas are his friends, he's not as hostile but still is, talks unnecessarily rude to them when he feels like it, and his pride grows 10 times a day since he always shows up when it's sparring time, beating one by one since his knowledge at fighting is further than any of them, usually being alot more fierce when sparring with Kai, though being slightly careful with lloyd as lloyd always seems to back off if Zayne asked for a spar. So he'll be more gentle at beating lloyd compared to everyone.

When zane and the others have a conversation, sometimes the person they're talking to don't realize it's no longer zane they're talking with but none other than Zayne. Zayne and zane share a mind and are just as intelligent or more so in zaynes perspective but either way it's sometimes hard to distinguish them if Zayne isnt showing the normal differences with zane and as long as he controls his accent abit.

Zane: he isn't much different to Canon other than being more timid but due to also experiencing being the ice emperor too, he unconsciously talks alot more, and his morals are a little more cuckoo than before.

Whenever it is his turn to switch. He's alot more indecisive as he had vex for so many years and when he switches, hes always be greeted by zayne. his feelings for Zayne is complicated, he resents Zayne and he really doesn't like him but he can't blame Zayne much at all, because Zayne is him. They were still the same person before the switch broke, and if it wasn't, its his fault.

Hes usually in the kitchen, with PIXAL or with master wu. It's now uncommon for him to be with the other ninjas, and most of the time he is with them, he's very timid, he loves making plans with them but the fact he hurted them back in the never realm always came to haunt him, and sparring with them was even worse especially with lloyd, so he usually gave the job to Zayne with the condition he doesn't injure them too badly.

Though he's less social, he talks like a king, which is funny for the other ninjas, mostly because he uses alot of high honorifics on himself, sometimes accidentally calling himself emperor, by this point he doesn't even know how to stop it.

(also before closing, his appearance is different, and as much as it just looks like a mix between zane and zaynes style, it's just Zayne feeling uncomfortable wearing the things zane wears regularly and asked if zane could at least give harder protection even if he does know he and zane aren't human and aren't physically weak since they have tough bodies, by the end of the day zane was forced to ask master wu for some)

Bueno, de todas formas te quiero decir que he estado leyendo más de los datos del AU y déjame decirte que, WN, TIENES UNA GRAN IMAGINACIÓN. En serio, me encanta cómo estás explorando la idea, la forma en la que estás desarrollando la relación entre Kai y Lloyd, la construcción del mundo, etc.

Ah, I didn't know there was an Ao3 about a story similar to the one I'm doing, but in the story drawings I explain that this story came from my mind after seeing old Asian fan arts where Garmadon manages to conquer. Ninjago and Kai become a kind of guardian for Lloyd, although the artist no longer uploaded any more drawings (because that actually happened several years ago), the idea still remained in my mind and I decided to upload it at once so I could share it.
