How f-ed up Hanna's life is.

the other day i was thinking about Hanna's backstory, life, and things that happen to her once she joins the ninja (surprise surprise). and i realized, i made her life really fucked up...

i swear, only like 40% is projection (kinda).

so i figured i'd share with you all to see if i should tone it down, keep going, or give her more trauma!!!!!

spoilering this for the sake of major ninjago spoilers.

general tw warning. it's a lot that could trigger some people so, read at your own risk.

Background

So if I haven't explained before, I created a fake city in Ninjago, stealing the name of an airport in London bc I thought it sounded Ninjago-ish.

Hanna was born in Heathrowe, the second largest city in Ninjago. Heathrowe is a fashion capital, filled with the rich and famous. It's also where Jay's biological father (Cliff Gordon) lived for the majority of his life in my AU as well since he was an actor. It's also where Cole's parents met.

Hanna's parents are among the rich in Heathrowe, they owning a multi-million dollar Trust company and a multi-million dollar Real estate business. Basically, Hanna is fucking loaded. Because of the nature of the companies her parents own, they are pretty popular in Heathrowe as well.

Childhood (Birth to Age 10)

Hanna, as I mentioned above, grew up in Heathrowe. She was born with naturally black and white hair, her eyes a starkingly metalic silver. As a kid, as in elementary school (about age 5 to age 10), she had a few really close friends and a larger circle of just friends.

To avoid getting bullied, Hanna's parents made her wear a wig with just black hair. They would've dyed her hair instead but Hanna's hair rejects all kinds of dyes. So, she was hiding that part of herself, leading her to have a kind of mental belief she had to be someone she wasn't for the majority of people.

But, for those few friends she had, she didn't wear the wig. They knew about her natural hair and loved it, not seeing her differently for it. Heathrowe is surrounded by dense forests that are thinner closer to the city. That's where Hanna and her friends would play most of the time.

The first time Hanna used her powers was when she was 9. She and her friends were in the forest, playing, when a group of older kids who were bullies of the trio just because they wanted to be, snuck up on them. The bullies threatened Hanna's friends, holding her back so she couldn't do anything.

Just as the bullies were about to hurt the friends, Hanna's powers played up and she ended up giving four of the bullies moderate concussions and leaving the one who was holding her back in critical condition. In this uncontrollable burst of power, Hanna also nearly severely hurt her friends.

This of course meant they were no longer her friends and their parents spread the word that Hanna was a "freak of nature" to the other parents of Hanna's elementary school.

This led Hanna to be the target of a lot of hate from basically everyone at her school. To compensate, Hanna's parents took her out of school once she came home with her belongings stolen.

Once her powers showed up, Hanna's parents worked with her, not to help her control them, but to suppress them, clueless about how much they'd grow during the next few years.

Tween Years (Age 10 to Age 12)

Hanna spent a year being home-schooled, until she moved on from elementary school into middle school (or junior high). It took her parents a lot of convincing but she was able to go without a wig.

She attended Heathrowe Private Junior High School, which was pretty small with at most 400 students between grades 6-8. What Hanna wasn't expecting was for her old best friends to go to that school.

They recognized her and tormented her, spreading nasty rumors about her. Hanna also hit puberty around this time and thus, people started harassing her about her looks.

Her tween years were mostly a lot of isolation socially and of her drifting away from her parents because they got busy.

Teen Years pt1 (Age 13 to Age 15)

Hanna's early teen years were really fucked up. The harassment about her looks got a lot worse as she grew tall really quick and began to grow close to people she misjudged as trustworthy.

A group of girls who were actually jealous of her convinced her to share who she was crushing on, set up a date between the two (Hanna was 14), and filmed her reaction to being rejected and degraded by the guy she was set up with. The assholes posted it on the internet and it went viral, hitting everyone in the school.

So again, the bullying and rumors got worse. Hanna went to her parents but they told her this is what she wanted, to go back to school. Granted, they didn't know the severity of the situation since Hanna didn't share anything.

Then, one day during lunch the group of girls, the guy, and the guy's group of friends basically jumped her, spewing insult after insult at her, publically embarressing her while dozens of people watched and recorded.

Hanna, during this time, did have one true friend. A girl named Victoria knew about what Hanna did, what Hanna could do, and didn't care. Victoria stood up for Hanna only to get ridiculed too. But Victoria didn't care and continued fighting back until the guy struck her, slapping Victoria across the face.

And like before, Hanna's powers reacted before she could stop them, she basically blowing up the entire school because of how much they'd grown. Unfortunately for Hanna, this led to nearly 100 people to be hurt with varying severity. Hanna's powers this time protected Victoria, she helping to snap Hanna out of her trance.

Once she was calm, Hanna passed out and Victoria realized those who still could were still recording. Those who were, half of them were live on social media sites. This meant the entire internet saw what Hanna did, including the school, her parent's clients, and one person who is a lot more relevant to Hanna in the future.

Hanna was expelled from pretty much every single school in Heathrowe and a lot of her parent's clients through both of their companies were pissed, claiming the parents were raising a demon/monster. So, on Hanna's 15th birthday, she was told by her parents she was moving to Ninjago City.

Yes, just her. Hanna's parents stayed behind in Heathrowe, setting Hanna up with weekly allowance payments, housing, and schooling in Ninjago City. Hanna was told it was because if they didn't, their clients would leave. But on the back end, the person I mentioned before threatened Hanna's life.

Of course they didn't tell Hanna and she was led to believe her parents chose money over her. This is where her hatred of her parents comes from. The only person she thought she could trust still, Victoria, was forced to cut ties with Hanna by the same person.

At the ripe age of 15, Hanna was forced to live alone in Ninjago City, a place she'd only been to on vacation. She didn't know anyone and didn't have anyone but herself to turn to.

Teen Years (Age 15 to Age 17)

--This part includes the following seasons: Sons of Garmadon (s8), Hunted (s9), March of the Oni (s10)--

Hanna attended the school her parents had her go to for a little while, until the same kind of rumors and bullying began. Then she withdrew and self educated herself. She spent her older teen years with a lot of resentment for the majority of people, even resenting the Ninja somewhat because she needed saving in Heathrowe but they weren't there.

Despite having the means to be part of Ninjago City's upper class of individuals, Hanna ended up becoming close with the streets of Ninjago City. Because of this, she learned basic defense and accidentally joined the Sons of Garmadon. Of course, she thought it was just a motorcycle enthusiast group since she kinda got thrown into a rebellious phase.

Her main participation in the group occured when it was still small and not on the Ninja's radar. She was 16 and was hanging out with gang members without knowing they were a gang and not just a group of people having fun. During this time in her life, she got the majority of her piercings and bought her first motorcycle, getting direct lessons from Ultraviolet about how to ride.

When the Ninja came back to Ninjago City for the royal address, Hanna had begun to realize she was in over her head and began to drift from the group, instead watching the Ninja pretty closely because she would rather help the Ninja then be a part of a coup. She realized the SoG were bad after she met Mr. E, instantly getting bad vibes from him.

She attended the royal address and from her past experiences, she was able to tell that something was off with Harumi, dealing with people of her kind in the past. She also noticed the Green Ninja (Lloyd) being very close to her. Against her will (she was threatened), Hanna was forced to be involved with the overtake of the Jade Palace, she getting away while the other people of SoG were being arrested.

Hanna also saw how Harumi was taken by the ninja and because the SoG didn't know who was or wasn't arrested, she used that knowledge to go to Skylor, who she'd gotten close with after they both realized they were pretty much parentless.

The two of them camped out in Chen's Noodle House until Lloyd confronted the newly ressurected Garmadon and nearly unalived. They watched the live broadcast and knew that they had to get out of the city ASAP. So, they began packing things up. But, before they could skedaddle, Skylor got a call from Mistake, requesting her help.

Skylor and Hanna had a conversation and planned a few things out. Skylor, who still had connections to the other elemental masters was going to contact them while Hanna rejoined forces with the SoG so she could be a spy for the resistance. She only agreed since she had been using a disguise with the SoG to hide her actual identity. A black wig, tinted glasses, and a mask.

Hanna rejoined the SoG shortly after Garmadon took over the City, apologizing for everything and explaining she was in hiding. Without realizing Garmadon could sense the strength of her powers she didn't tell anyone about, she was made a leader of a squadron of SoG members, in charge of hunting down Lloyd.

Her squad was on the team that worked with Mr. E to corner the resistance. And her squads fall was all planned by her and Skylor so Skylor could help Lloyd and the others get away. Once they were homefree, Hanna split from her group, instructing them to follow Mr. E back to the main base and claimed she was going after the others.

In reality, Hanna was going to the garbage depot to meet up with the resistance. She was met with hesitation since she was introduced as Skylors "person on the inside." Hesitation specifically from Lloyd, which was reasonable but it made getting along hard. The two of them trained together, Lloyd still weak from his injuries in the fight with Garmadon and Hanna not super experienced with fighting made them pair up fairly well.

Though, most spars turned into intense arguements since Hanna could clearly see the doubt in Lloyd's eyes whenever he talked about fighting his father and tried to clue him in, but he was too stubborn to admit it.

She ended up being a front runner in the Resistance's invasion of the Radio Tower. Since Skylor knew about Hanna's powers, she put her directly with Lloyd, the group splitting up into two teams after Garmadon realized his son was in the building.

Cornered, Hanna sacrificed herself by picking a fight with Harumi so that Lloyd could make it to the broadcasting room without much issue. In their fight, Hanna disclosed her being a traitor and only lost because Garmadon crept up on her.

To punish her, they left her in holding cells in the basement of Borg Tower without telling anyone. Harumi specifically was in charge of bringing her food and water just to barely keep her alive. The SoG members trustworthy were allowed to come down and see her, insulting and mentally torturing her.

When Garmadon was taken down and Harumi died, Hanna was left in said cell for five days completely alone without food or water until someone found her. She was sent to the hospital but ended up escaping when she heard them mention calling Hanna's parents.

She was still recovering from her imprisonment when the Oni invaded Ninjago City. Because of being part Harmonizer, the mist of the Oni (idk what it's actually called) didn't affect her and she was forced to be the only survivor in Ninjago City with Oni on consistent patrol.

Hanna was nearly caught when Garmadon and Lloyd went into the mist to destroy the realm crystal. But, she didn't see them as saving the city, more so putting her lift in danger. After the Oni left, Hanna became a social recluse, avoiding all of her old friends and got into a lot of trouble with the law, making her name with the SoG come back to life as a way for the police to identify her since she always wore a disguise.

So, for this chapter of her life, she went through a hell of a lot and found the only way to cope with it to be blaming the ninja and specifically Lloyd.

Echoes of The Echoed (Age 18 to Age 19)

Obviously, spoiler warnings for my fanfic. Thus, I'm doing a bulleted list of her traumas lmao

- recovering from injuries

- got into a lot of fights on the street

- had extreme nightmares/visions the ninja didn't believe her about

- learned about some of the stuff her parents hid from her

- discovered she couldn't run from her powers anymore

- got poisoned!

- severely injured the guy she liked

- had to go through physical symptoms of letting her powers be used completely

- watched her friends be tortured

- got tortured herself

- nearly died

Early Adulthood (Age 19 to Age 21)

Post-Merge (Age 22 - Age 24)

Oof. Get ready y'all.

Hanna lands in the center of Ninjago City after the Merge concludes without any idea of where the others are. She is completely alone in a sea of terrified and equally confused people. Overwhelmed, she runs away and hides. From afar, Hanna helps Ninjago City with the beginnings of rebuilding after the Merge like helping people clean their homes and keeping the streets free of crime.

About a month or so after the Merge, Hanna finds out she's pregnant. At this point, she's begun to assume the other ninja have died. So, she finds out she's pregnant with her dead soulmates baby.

Unfortunately for her, keeping Ninjago City relatively crime free put a target on her back. She knows this and decides to go look for Lloyd. To make sure she wasn't followed, Hanna burns her GI and cuts her hair really short and buys a black wig.

She travels for a few months with no luck then moves to the Crossroads where she meets a doula from a different world that actually knows about Harmonizers. Then, disaster hits.

Hanna is around 5 months pregnant when a gang leader from Ninjago City finds her when she was on the way back from the doctors appointment where she learned her babys gender. The gang leader sees Hanna is pregnant and decides to punish her for putting the majority of his gang away by punching her right in the stomach.

Hanna has a brutal miscarriage, and while still going through it, she runs into the same guy and nearly kills him. Hanna is forced to flee the Crossroads, deciding to give her apartment to two kids she knew we're looking for a better place, Sora and Arin.

Hanna then spends a few more months traveling, looking for any signs she wasn't the only Ninja who survived. She runs into the Claws of Imperium and she ends up changing her path to trying to stop them. Only, she gets caught and thrown into prison.

Upon trying to escape, they figure out she has a shit ton of power so the Empress instructs Dr.Laroe to use her power. So they do. Hanna ends up locked up in Imperium, being experimented on daily to figure out what her power is and how to use it to their benefit. It nearly kills her several times.

So eventually, Laroe makes Hanna stay sedated. She stayed like that until Lloyd, Sora, Arin, and Ryiu invaded Imperium where she uses the last of her strength to make sure they all get out safely. Hanna ends up in a 3 day coma. But hey, she's reunited with people she cares about right?

WRONG!!!! Hanna is so injured she can barely move without intense pain and is forced to be bedridden for weeks. Once she started feeling better, the end of the world was happening and she had to help Lloyd learn how to control his power and the conduit, which again drained her.

A few weeks later, Lloyds horrific visions happen. But, Hanna also has horrible visions too. Only hers are memories of her kind, Harmonizers long dead trying to warn Hanna about something. Another imbalance happens, one that leads Hanna to being a danger to everyone she loves.

Around the same time, Hanna fesses up that her avoidance with doing anything physical (if you know what I mean) with Lloyd is because of her miscarriage. She tells him about all of her guilt and fear with potentially having something similar happen again keeps her from wanting to do anything. While sure, it helps some, Hanna has to watch as Lloyd learns he could've been a dad and wasn't because Hanna wasn't careful enough (not true but yk)

When the blood moon happens, she gets transformed into this person of pure evil, the imbalance so powerful it basically traps Hanna in her body while she watches as an "evil" version of herself takes over and hurts everyone she cares about.

During the tournament of Sources, Hanna ends up being part of the reason why Arin turns to Ras, manipulating him into believing Lloyd won't help him anymore. Hanna also hurts the Ninja emotionally, taunting Nya about Jay, bullying Zane for losing almost instantly, manipulating Cole into believing Bonzle left on purpose, aiding Soras low self-esteem, and using Lloyds feelings towards her as a way to distract him.

When the tournament ends, the imbalance lets up enough for Hanna to have control back. She helps the ninja fight off Nokt (she doesn't even break a sweat because she uses her self rage against him). But before she can reunite with Lloyd, she goes running after Arin to protect him from Ras.

So, by the age of 25 (as it stands right now), she has gone through a shit ton of bs!!

Totally unrelated to my fanfiction question… it was never SPECIFICALLY mentioned that you have three wishes, right?

Every time they mention the rules they always say you can’t wish for love, death or to do harm, but nothing about quantity

They do always compare Djinns to Genies (super racist, technically speaking), and Genies do grant strictly 3 wishes, but then again, Djinns aren’t Genies. You can’t play the flute because your grandparents can, can you? You can’t run super fast because your sibling can, can you? I bet you can’t drive a sports car just because your parents can.

Although unfortunately yes, it stuff like:

“I do want my three wishes.” - Zane

“You’ve already made your two wishes, you have one left.” Nadakhan to Jay. Which could be a confirmation, but then again, could be a lie Nadakhan just plays along to

“We’ve made our three wishes, Nadakhan.” - Lloyd

Sigh…… I’m delusional, aren’t I?😒

hello!! i'm back from earlier (the person who asked if you'd seen the new part of Dragon's Rising yet)! Anyways, I was wondering what your thoughts were/how you reacted to the Jaya fight... I literally got up and started screaming. I think the concept of Nya having hers and Jay's powers after essentially losing him is SUCH an interesting concept... but yeah. Man.

omg i have a lot of thoughts on this sit tight i will try to be as brief as possible. (warning ninjago drs2 spoilers ahead obviously !!)

initially i was actually PRETTY excited ! i think before the release/leak there were rumours that jay and nya would have a fight and ill be honest i wasnt really sure if jay was ACTUALLY going to become part of raz’s clan. i thought it was just a cool concept like yayy evil jay but NO IT WAS REAL !!! so initially i was like ohh my goodness jaya angst okayy im sat!

however as i watched the episode it felt .. very underwhelming? 😭 i think the fight was a bit short for my liking, like i would have enjoyed to see more … substance, yk?!? dont get me wrong i do agree with you; the concept sounds SO insane and crazy and wow wow wow. i was literally on the edge of my seat 5 cm away from my screen wide eyed locked in EVERYTHING. but the fact that jay was literally in one episode for like 0.589 seconds was kinda like Um okay . What now.? 

i think in retrospect it was a really great idea. to pit them against each other?? and jay doesnt have his memories??? and nya has been seeking closure as to his whereabouts, and now she finally knows he’s alive and breathing but not *her* jay????? literally insane stuff. i was super duper really really excited because i dont know if you know this but … I am a huge jaya fan … but i really really do wish we got more content arghh!! i was yearning for more jay screentime .. BUT! i think season 3 is confirmed (dont quote me on this i have no idea) so im hoping. begging. PRAYING. for more jaya content. 🙏 also another good thing to come out of this was the fact that this dearth of substance leaves a huge room for opportunities for artists/fanfic writers!! it leaves a ton of creative liberty for people to expand on the whole jay vs nya concept aaaand i eat it all up every single time ☝️ anyways thanks for the question heheee i love to ramble :^)

Huh. I just dug up an old fan-theory i came up with back when i was like 15. And while its definitely way too weak to hold up against any real scrutiny, it at the very least makes for some mildly interesting fanfic fodder so i thought id share it with the greater fandom hivemind.

(Dont come at me about the holes in this theory btw, i was practically a baby when i came up with this and it was one of my first attempts at theory-crafting. Trust me, ive come a long way since then)

Anyway, the theory goes like this:

While in the lighthouse, Dr. Julien builds a replica of his son. But try as he might to get it to turn on, it never actually works. Whatever special spark brought the first Zane to life is inexplicably absent from this one. So he locks it away in his basement, and never gives it the light of day again. This is the reason Dr. Julien never told Zane about Echo, or brought him with them - because at the time, Echo wasnt even functional. Wouldnt even turn on. Was nothing more than a lifeless shell collecting rust in the basement.

So how, then, did Echo become sentient by season 6? Great question! But uhh heres where the theory kinda starts to go off the rails. So buckle up, folks.

Basically the theory goes that when Zane died at the end of s3, his soul still lingered in Ninjago. And his disembodied spirit eventually found itself drawn to a vessel that was similar to the one he'd lost - one his father had built yet long abandoned. But his new body lacked the memory storage contained within his old one, and his resurrection effectively gave him almost complete amnesia. All he could remember was his name and his purpose (to protect those who cannot protect themselves).

Meanwhile, when Titanium Zane says hes a replica, hes actually completely right about that. Some fragments of his code left behind from his visit to the Digiverse gained sentience and inherited Zane's elemental power, creating the Zane we know and love today.

But the original Zane, the one that died fighting the Overlord, actually ended up becoming Echo Zane. Which then would have explained why Zane had so many holes in his memories after being resurrected, and why his sixth sense became much less active as well - he was only made from fragments of the real Zane's code, after all.

Now, as the big smart grownup i am today, i can look back at this theory my baby self had crafted and poke about a million holes into it. But...idk, i always feel nostalgic about this theory in spite of all that. Not just bc it was one of my first fan theories ever, but also bc it would have such fascinating narrative implications if true.

Like, the idea of Mr. E being Echo? Well, if we apply that to the concept of Echo being the Original Zane, then his hatred for Current Zane takes on a whole new dimension. It also gives me a lot of emotions about the whole Ice Emperor situation, as well as Zane's apparent discomfort towards his own statue.

And what kind of position does that put the rest of the gang in? If they had to choose between saving one or the other - the Zane who died for you, or the Zane who lives for you - which one would they choose? Could they choose? How long do you have to love a replica before it starts to feel more authentic than the original? And in that case, who becomes the 'real' zane? The one you love, or the one you lost?

Again. This theory has more holes in it than the Titanic. Cut me some slack, i was an idiot child and also a novice at making theories. But giving credit where its due, i do think it at least raises some interesting concepts. And Ive always casually wondered what would happen if it turned out to be true.

Like i said. Fanfic fodder.

I’m gonna make a little happy “rant” here about Lloyd from Ninjago and just the cartoon in general.

I’ve always liked Lloyd. Ever since I was a kid, he was the one who I favorited over the others. Sure, Kai is awesome, Cole is super inspiring, Nya is an absolute baddie, Jay is funny, Zane is real cool, Pixal is an amazing robot girlfriend and samurai, Skylor is such a cool and strong female character to look up to, and etc. (Dareth, Nelson, Sensei Wu, Garmadon, Morro, Cyrus Borg…)

And yeah, a lot of people “like Lloyd” because he’s the “Green Ninja” or he’s “super cool”, but for me… that’s not it (I mean, a bit of it is, hehe. But not all of it). And as I become older in my teenage years, I’ve honestly been thinking about it a lot. I’ve been thinking about why I like this Lego character so much, and why this is the only “children’s” show I actually fan over where I can watch the show over and over throughout the years, write fanfics for hours on it, and spend my money on the sets and merch…

***Now I should probably say before I start, I’m not some crazy obsessive fan lmao. I just really like this character and show, and I want to shine some light on Lloyd (differently than he already receives, of course lol).***

Lloyd has been through a lot, yet he still came out as stable as he is (at least as much as the cartoon shows to the audience). One thing about Ninjago I like is how they make the characters realistic. I didn’t particularly realize this until I got older and I re-watched it, but all Ninja have a unique story before, during, or after they became Ninja. Though one thing that differs Lloyd from the rest is how young he was when he clearly knew his situation with his father, mother, “Ninja-acknowledgement”, family, etc. And I know what a lot of people are going to say, “But what about Kai and Nya? Cole? Possibly Skylor?” And I know, I agree. Unfortunately, all the ninja had to grow up with something traumatic in their childhood (the only one who didn’t was Jay; though later he had to find out he was adopted, which stinks finding out the way he did. I’m just glad Ed & Edna were as amazing as they were <3). The one thing that all the rest of the ninja have besides Lloyd within these situations, is they all still had *someone*. Kai had Nya, Nya had Kai. Cole still had his father, even under the circumstances. Skylor still had her father and etc with the rest. Lloyd had *no one* as a kid, and it makes me want to give his little baby-self in seasons 1-2 a massive hug.

I remember when I watched seasons 1-7 (especially 1-2) as a middle schooler, I thought little and early-teen Lloyd was so annoying (still do). But now, years later, it makes me really sad to think about his story. He’s the only ninja who had received *no* love from his parents or anyone around him until he met the ninja, and even then he later had to learn what *that* meant and how to have self-love… which he still has trouble doing a lot of the time throughout all the seasons. It makes me want to give him an even bigger hug!

And one thing about Lloyd I truly admire, is even through all of this crap, he *still* cares about his mother and forgives her so easily! The way his mother abandoned him as a child I completely disagree with, and how she just left him saying she was doing it for “him” (even though it *really* was for herself), and yet he STILL treats her kindly and respectfully, which is amazing of him. Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t forgive, it’s just how he accepted it like a champ is something that is completely admirable. Especially with how young he really was…. You have to remember Lloyd was only around 10-ish years old around seasons 1-2, yet he was able to accept his mother with opened arms. And sure, he probably was only doing this because he was attention-starved (explains why he wanted to become like his father as a kid), emotionally-starved, and starved for love, yet still as he got older and probably realized this more and more about his mother and their relationship, he still has *always* treated her with respect and kindness. And sure, people within this fandom get mad at how bitty Lloyd acted, yet we also have to remember how he was raised, which really wasn’t being “raised” at all.

Then we go into Garmadon and Lloyd’s relationship, which is a whole other can of worms. Yet unlike Misako, Lloyd’s mother, as a fan I 100% respect Garmadon as a parental figure than I ever will for her. Sure, he’s the biggest and baddest villain throughout the series. And sure, he too abandoned his son; yet unlike Lloyd’s mother, Garmadon made *up* for that time lost, and personally, I give him my upmost respect for that. He gave his son what he was lacking in receiving from his parents, and actually *cared* enough to do that for Lloyd. He showed his son what if felt like to actually be loved by your parent (in his own ways of course), he gave his son attention, and he showed what it was like to have an emotional connection with your child. GARMADON ACTUALLY SOMEWHAT HAD A REASON TO ACT THE WAY HE DID, HE WAS BITTEN BY A SNAKE THAT MESSED HIM UP FOR LIFE, YET UNLIKE MISAKO HE *STILL* TREATED LLOYD MORE AMAZING THAN SHE EVER COULD. Yet instead, throughout the 5 most healthy seasons of Garmadon and Lloyd’s relationship, especially seasons (3-5), SHE DIDN’T EVEN PUT IN THE EFFORT TO MAKE THIS A FAMILY RELATIONSHIP! Instead, she was hanging with Wu, Lloyd’s uncle. And I know for a fact we *all* know something’s going on there, which as a kid I even noticed, and I absolutely hated even then!!! Misako would pop in like everything was fine and dandy every-so-often, and yet Lloyd STILL treated her amazingly!!! That’s why Lloyd is my favorite! No matter what anyone does to him, says to him, or how he is treated, he still cares for them! He still wants them to have a happy ending, and he hasn’t even had his yet. It makes me really happy that he had the opportunity to meet the ninja, because without them as the loving family they are, I don’t think he would *at all* be the same kind-hearted character he is. The real loving people in his life are the team, and even though this is all fake and just a “silly” cartoon as some would call it, I’m GLAD he was given such a loving atmosphere.

Then we go into Seasons 8-16. Lloyd grew up, finally caught up mentally to his body (which I found terrible that he had to go thru that, yet he STILL acted like a champ when there were no expectations to!!!) and this is where I like his character even more. Still, even through all the darkness and pain he had to go through growing up (it gets worse as he gets closer to adult-hood), he still acts amazing! His father now isn’t his real father anymore, his mother is completely gone into oblivion (gone like she always has been, pfft), and he falls in love with someone who manipulates him because she herself is broken! (And yes, I probably should say now that I do ship Llorumi. Some of you may think I’m crazy, which I am lol, but I also have my reasons for supporting it, and I will most likely (someday) make a post like this explaining why I do, but right now we’re focusing on Lloyd. ;)) Yet Lloyd *still* forgives, accepts, and loves!!! After years of thinking about and watching this show, I’ve finally narrowed it down to those three attributes within him that I’ve seen consistently throughout the series. I believe we should all look up to Lloyd for this! Just being able to forgive and love the same people who had hurt and abused him, is truly a wonderful thing a person can achieve!

Plus, Lloyd is also funny, entertaining, and would be an amazing person if he were to be real. Sure, he has his own stuff he stores deep inside of himself, and he probably jokes as much as he does because he’s trying to make everything look okay, but ya know what? That is some amazing writing right there! Being able to make a LEGO “CHILDREN’S” show entertaining for kids to watch, but it also is able to make the older audiences feel recognized and noticed in attributes and personalities within some Lego Ninja? That’s some crazy awesome writing! It truly shows how if the right minds are put together, a show for “kids” can turn out to be fun and *emotional* for us older audiences to watch because we see these characters within ourselves.

So there it is, my rant as to why I do really love Lloyd as a character and not just some “Lego Ninja.” There’s some others, I mean his personality in-show and mine irl match up pretty well, so there’s that lol. I also like how he sits and listens to your problems and gives advice. He honestly is ✨the man✨ But there’s also multiple other things I didn’t even get around to mentioning in here that I like about his character too! There’s so much to unpack it feels within these characters. It’s almost as if this show *isn’t* for kids anymore, and it’s growing along with the viewers, yet still pertains to the “children” mindset.

Anyways, I’ve already spent two hours of my life writing this, so I’ll stop haha. But if you made it this far, feel free to comment and tell me your thoughts. I’d love to know. :)

Наверное этот пост будет немного необычен для моего аккаунта (хотя, если подумать, у меня по сути здесь мешанина из разных фандомов, так что может и нет...), вообще, изначально я хотела сюда написать какую-нибудь "криповую" фразу, но я ничего так и не придумала, так как узколобая :/

В общем, недавно решила вспомнить детство и начала рандомно пересматривать старые сезоны Ниндзяго (к слову, мне они до сих пор нравятся, хоть мне сейчас и 20), и пересмотр��ла "День ушедших" (до сих пор помню, как смотрела его впервые, такое классное время было...) и по ходу просмотра в мою больную голову пришла идея нарисовать арт, что-то типа "плохой концовки", где Коул всё-таки остался в храме Сенсея Янга и стал его новым хозяином.

К слову, я с детства была фанаткой всякой дарковой фигни (спасибо млп гримдарку за счастливое детство ;) ), и мне бы очень хотелось в будущем самой написать какой-нибудь подобный фанфик (вот про день ушедших как по мне хорошая идея), но у меня руки не доходят(плюс я часто пребываю в подавленном состоянии и у меня попросту нет сил на такие серьёзные проэкты, но это уже другая история).

Но может когда-нибудь всё-таки напишу...

P.S. Я давно не рисовала лего человечков, так что как по мне немного криво вышло... Но сам процесс рисования принёс мне нехилое такое удовольствие (рисовать дарковый арт по лего мульту под песни группы Motionless in white реально кайфово))

Well, where to start....

This post will probably be a bit unusual for my account (although, come to think of it, I'm basically a mishmash of different fandoms here, so maybe not....), actually, I originally wanted to write some "creepy" phrase here, but I never came up with anything since I'm narrow-minded :/

Anyway, I recently decided to reminisce about my childhood and started randomly re-watching old Ninjago seasons (by the way, I still like them, even though I'm 20 years old now), and re-watched "Day of the Departed" (I still remember watching it for the first time, it was such a great time...) and as I was watching it, I started watching "Day of the Departed" (I still remember watching it for the first time, it was such a great time...) and in the course of watching it, my sick head came up with the idea to draw art, something like "bad ending", where Cole still stayed in Sensei Yang's temple and became its new master.

By the way, I've been a fan of dark stuff since childhood (thanks to mlp grimdark for a happy childhood ;) ), and I'd really like to write a fanfic like this in the future (the one about the day of the departed is a good idea for me), but I can't get my hands on it (plus I'm often depressed and don't have the energy for such serious projects, but that's another story).

But maybe someday I'll write....

P.S. I haven't drawn lego men for a long time, so as for me it's a bit crooked.... But the process of drawing brought me a lot of fun (drawing dark art on lego cartoon to the songs of the band Motionless in white is really cool))

When You Think You're All Alone by MondotheBombo, a beautiful beautiful beautiful ALL TIME FAV rewrite of Skybound if Ninjago wasn't a coward. Lotsa Jay torture. 100/10

Would You Like To Enter Prime Empire? by Finn_M_Corvex, ANOTHER awesome rewrite but this time of Prime Empire (we really need better Jay focus seasons guys.) It explores the scrapped concept of Jay's bio mom having something to do with the game. A really amazing read and I wait EARGELY for each new chapter release.

Meet Again by northpen. A reincarnation fic set THOUSANDS (hundreds? Im bad at time) of years in the future where Cole and Zane are the only ones left alive...or so they thought until Cole saw someone who looked just like Kai- An amazing read. I was bawling many times. I love the scrunklies.

And last, but certainly not least. the legendary Play To Win by sadisthetic (our lord and saviour). Literally just Jay being tortured its AMAZING. But it has lots of Bruise angst and its REALLY well written.

Meet Ariel! If you are thinking about Disney's Ariel then you would be correct! Inspired by Vincent Tong stating how Ariel was his first crush when he was a little kid (and the reason why the fanfic even happened and why I requested him to sing "Wild Uncharted Waters" which if you haven't seen already, check it out! Born to a Ningyo mother and a human father, Ariel had it all until one night, her parents disappeared. Fearing the safety of his toddler niece, her paternal human uncle took her under his care and raised her safely in a mangrove lagoon hidden from both the land and sea. Her uncle was raised not as a human but as a Ningyo himself. For 16 years, she had stayed hidden in the mangrove lagoon along with her best friend and the mother of her best friend. For 16 years, she had no idea that she was a siren. Her life would change forever when a certain red ninja happened to fall into the very ocean Ariel secretly explored when her uncle wasn't looking.

to kinda put it on a scale form to explain the differences between Hanna and Lloyd at their peak power, so when they are at their strongest; Hanna would be on a 8.5/10 scale and Lloyd would be on a 8/10 scale.

they are VERY close in power but at the end of the day, Hanna is technically stronger in terms of Discord vs Lloyds element. On a physical level, Lloyd would win just because he's bigger than her and has more strength than she does. hopefully that makes sense!

they first started dating without public knowledge about halfway - 3/4 of the way through my fan season or fanfic. But the public gained knowledge about their relationship at the end of the fic or the start of Season 11.

Lloyd confessed first, but if asked, Hanna would claim she did (she told him while he slept, he never heard it lol)

I MADE AN AU BASED OF OF NINJAGO UNITED LEAKS : the united au!

This au is kinda like a fan season but not really. The main premise is the ninja have to unite with all of the elemental masters to create a new realm (also called ninjago duhhh) because an evil king from a kingdom before the FSM arrived in Ninjago is wants the realm destroyed. Here are some things I wrote and drew for it
