Territorial (Vincent de Gramont x reader)
Summary: You meet your old high school crush and can't help but tell Vincent about it. But he's certainly not happy to hear this story.
Note: Takes place after my other Vincent fics, but you don't need to read them. / I wrote it in like an hour with breaks and it shows. / If you want to know when I post new stuff, follow @unreliablesnakefics and hit the get notifications button. I don't have a taglist.

“Imagine my surprise when I found out it was him! He changed so much throughout the years. He was never the type to wear suits.”
You were laughing, excited that someone from your years in high school showed up in your life again. It was a nice surprise; you used to be on good terms with him, maybe even had a crush that stayed with you in the back of your mind. And now you were working in the same office building, so the two of you were already making plans to have lunch together in the following days.
“He’s been working there for almost as long as I do. How is it that we haven’t met yet? What are the chances?” you asked your boyfriend before taking another bite of your dinner.
But Vincent remained silent, his jaw tightening as you kept talking about your old friend. It took you some minutes to finally realize he didn’t want to hear about any of this. You shut your mouth the moment it dawned on you, and bit on your lower lip as you looked down at your plate guiltily, as if you had done something wrong.
“Are you done?” he asked with a frown, and after a few moments of thinking, you nodded. “I haven’t seen you this excited about a friend before, love. Or was he more than just a friend? Do I have a reason to worry?”
You gulped loudly upon hearing his question. He could see right through you as always, he knew about your crush without you saying anything about it. Too bad that to him it didn’t matter if you still had any feelings for that guy or not. You once had and that was enough for him to get mad at you.
Because he was mad, you knew that. It wasn’t jealousy, it was pure anger that he felt times like this. Every time a guy looked at you the wrong way, every time you dared to be nice to another man, Vincent got angry and took it out on you.
Of course, he would never hit you. Sure, he would spank you, maybe even choke you a little, but all of this would happen in the safety of your bedroom. He would never seriously think about hurting you, he loved you too much for that.
Or so you thought.
Now there was a glint in his green eyes, something you had never seen before. It was pure rage, fueled by your story about this old flame. “He’s just a friend, I promise,” you tried weakly, but despite being sure you loved only him, your thin voice made even you question if it was true.
He suddenly put down his fork and knife, took a sip of his wine–his eyes never leaving yours–then stood up and extended his hand to help you up. With your legs already shaking, you took his hand and stood up as well. For the first time in a while, you had absolutely no idea what he was about to do. Was it really that bad that you were so excited about meeting an old friend?
His fingers wrapped around yours tightly enough to make you bite the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from crying out loud. You followed him across the rooms obediently, not asking him what he was planning to do now.
Once you stepped inside the bedroom, he slammed in the door and pulled you into a hungry, demanding kiss. You tried to push him away a little to breathe, but he only put his hand on the base of your skull and pulled you even closer. This was a first; he had never been this aggressive before, but now he seemed desperate to show you who you belonged to.
His hands were quick to remove your clothes when he finally let you breathe, fingers exploring every single curve of your body as if he had never seen you naked before. Then they moved between your legs, expert fingers slipping between your folds which drew a pathetic moan out of you, making you weak in the knees.
“Who do you belong to, hm?” he asked you before kissing you again. “Tell me, love, do you remember where you belong?”
“I belong to you,” you replied weakly as you put your hands on his chest to steady yourself. His fingers curled inside you, hitting just the right spot, and it was hard to keep yourself together by now. “I’m so sorry,” you added.
While his fingers were pumping at a steady pace, chasing you towards your first high, Vincent looked you in the eye and tilted his head to the side a little. “Good girl. Never forget this,” he warned you darkly.
Your first orgasm made you collapse into his arms, but he didn't seem to mind, it only made him more determined to overstimulate you. By now you knew what this was all about. He wanted to mark his territory, showing you how good he was for you, how perfectly you fit together.
Jealous Vincent wasn't new. He was rough and focused on his own needs, using you as a simple fleshlight. But territorial Vincent was someone you hadn't met before. He wasn't controlled by his anger; he was driven by something else, as if he was desperately trying to prove to you that he was the only one who had a place in your heart.
It wasn't unusual for him to focus on your needs, but this was different. You couldn't quite put a finger on what the difference was, but you could feel it in your bones that something wasn't the same.
He kept calling you a good girl, telling you how badly he needed you, how you belonged to him, and how the two of you were brought together by fate. He was almost too sentimental, something he barely was with you. If you didn't know any better, you would have assumed he was worried about losing you.
“What's wrong?” you asked when you were lying in bed with you resting your chin on his chest as you looked up at him.
But he remained silent, the only reaction was the way his grip on your hip tightened. Just when you were about to give up, he suddenly spoke up. “I want you to keep your distance with him. Lunches on weekdays are okay, but I don't want you to meet outside of that building. Can you promise me that?”
You thought about it, but it was a fair request. So you nodded, agreeing while also hoping for a change of his heart in the future. If that was enough to make him feel better, you were willing to do it for now. After all, you didn't want to ruin your engagement so soon.

I've been watching Teen Wolf for ten years now and only this month learned that Stiles and Scott are supposed to be sixteen in season 1/2. That's. That is so wild to me I always fully believed them to be 15, never questioned or doubted that.
And the reason for that is Allison.
It was made out to be such a big deal that she turned 17. That it made her "older" because she'd been held back due to all the moving around.
So, the obvious and logical conclusion for me was that Stiles and Scott thus must be 15 years old when she turns 17.
Because this? Them being 16 when she turns 17? Makes absolutely no sense?
Every 16 year old will turn 17 next! That is how numbers work! So why would this "yesterday I too was 16" year old girl act like it's weird or makes her ""older"" that she... turns 17?
The only way this would have qualified for being a big deal was if she was actually a year older than them due to being held back and not like a few months?
This is just so weird to me I have no idea what to do with that. Why would she act like she is a freak of nature, girl you are nine months older than Scott and Stiles. That's not even a full year. Absolutely unhinged behavior to fuss about that like you're an old spinster.

"fun" facts about helming
Helming is the practice of connecting a psionic troll directly to a ship's nervous system via biowires. This causes permanent nerve damage to the troll, with helmsmen often going numb around connection ports, and are sometimes fully blinded. Ports are also installed for nutrition and sedative drips. Depending on the power rating, caste, and criminal record of the individual, a psionic may face mandatory imperial service for up to five sweeps, though psionic criminals are often sentenced to permanent helmsmanship.

what got you interested into sonic in the first place (also love your art btw)
thanks! i'm putting myself on blast here. i got into sonic because i watched the game grumps playthroughs of various sonic games when i was in high school. the one that specifically threw me into the pit was their shadow the hedgehog playthrough - they only played one path and ended the playthrough which made me sad because i wanted to see the other paths. and then i looked into the games/other sonic media on my own and it was all over

so in the past month-ish there have been two separate instances where a friend of mine has had reason to show me that the fandoms I enjoy (namely star trek and a niche book series I'm obsessed with) have thriving fanfiction communities (context: While I did already know this about Star Trek, I have never read fanfiction or dove into that corner of the internet b/c I find it a little intimidating lol)
Anyways I've been thinking about Star Trek Voyager a little too much, specifically the ending and how unsatisfying it is.
There's a little voice in the back of my head telling me to spend what little free time I have writing something from the perspective of various crewmembers like a month after the Voyager gets back to Earth. It would inevitably be bad and I know this but like what iffffff?????????

"This is a plane. But don't think of it as a plane. Think of it as a superpower, 'cause in 1920 if you were brave enough to fly one of these things, to even go up in one—you were kind of a superhero. The subject of my report gets to go on her first flight as a passenger when she's 23 years old. And she decides right then and there that she wants to be a pilot. Amelia Earhart got her pilots' license in 1923. In 1932—already famous but determined to prove herself as a pioneer, she flies solo across the Atlantic. The first woman and only the second person to ever do this. Her most ambitious goal, however—to be the first woman to fly around the world... this goal she would never achieve.
Her voice on the radio during the final part of that journey would be the last anyone ever heard from her. Ever. Yeah, I know! Imagine my surprise when I found that out. It was so badly planned. They didn't bring the right kind of radio. Nothing. No ship, no Howland Island, and no land of any kind.
They were exactly where they weren't supposed to be. Over the open ocean, with nothing but fumes left in the gas tanks. When they realized just how bad things were, Amelia and her navigator must have talked. But what is there to say? Oops?
I imagine that she made a graceful landing on the water. I imagine that they climbed out up onto the nose of the plane. I imagine that the plane was sinking... but not quickly. The body of it would fill with water and slowly become too heavy for the empty gas tanks' and the wings to hold up on the surface. And I picture Amelia really facing her fate. No planes in the sky. No ships on the horizon. And she would have known that soon she'd be treading water. The great flyer was now a floater. Fish food.
Amelia Earhart didn't fly around the world. And some people may think that makes her a failure. And those people might say that loudly while standing next to you with hot breath. And sometimes, yeah—people with louder, deeper voices get heard more and that's really annoying. But that doesn't make me want to make my voice lower and deeper. That just makes me mad.
Look what Earhart did. She saved her money and she bought her bright red Lockheed Vega. That was her saying 'Hello. This is what my voice sounds like.' That thing had a 450 horse-power engine. That basically means that the engine is strong, and is loud, and is 450 horses all mushed together. And it could fly. If you wrote a book, and you invented this character, this dashing lady-pilot—you might become a famous author. Well, she was that character. She wrote herself.
Okay, so we know what probably happened. But who knows, right? When you're that far out into the world there's more magic. That's true. It's like that in the North Pole, and in the jungles. Maybe after she'd made her peace, just before she got too tired to keep afloat—maybe some of that magic lifted that plane right back up underneath her. And maybe she got to fly it back up into the air, and maybe she never had to land again. Maybe she dropped Fred Noonan off in navigator Heaven and then kept going.
I like to think of her flying around up there right now. She makes me want to write a story for myself that's as big and as freakin' cool as hers.
That's why Amelia Earhart is my hero."

small headcanon of the day: long before The Actual Yearning and Years-Long Complex about it (kickstarted before she joined the scions, but in a sort of hopeful way; it only soured after she joined the scions), sharlayan was the #1 destination/port to deal with for irma as an assessor of mealvaan's gate. first of all you KNOW they had all the relevant paperwork ready and signed in advance and with an extra copy, printed with the neatest Mammet-Powered Copy Technique to ensure perfect legibility & legal duties, with everything in the cargo properly labelled and accounted for and the manifest in an alphabetized list. also while i know the conservative factions (like the bibliothecs) have been gaining influence within the forum for the past few years, and their main thing is that they refuse to share their knowledge & interact with the world, realistically speaking i still think most of their export (and economy) would involve (general) books (nothing too advanced, but like. basics of every topic. you know? SUP. sharlayan university press. do you see my vision) which would of course be super interesting to her & also easy to inspect and unload. not to mention sharlayan boats are smaller than other ships so they'd be quicker to inspect & unload (always appreciated i think). ALSO the gleaners would definitely see her & the other assessors as (distant) colleagues - not even only because of the arcanima part, but because they're (underpaid and overworked) civil servants and basically their lominsan counterparts. so they'd be pleasant to deal with & competent too, definitely a far cry from the average lominsan sailor lmao. would be funny if she actually dealt with erenville at, like, 15 also. "hey i remember you" "hm?" "you delivered a cargo of books and got a load of la noscean flora and fauna in return" "what the hell are you talking about"

Thinking about that time that I was hired to choreograph for a theatre summer camp (ages 7-13) and they did High School Musical and I fully, in two weeks, taught them the entirety (for the most part) of the Kenny Ortega movie choreo, and it was the best production that camp had ever done.
