Go read Righting Reflex by the asker please, it is a wonderful fic about the Thirteenth Doctor and her fam, and a cat that mysteriously shows up. Perhaps there is more to the cat (who seems very insistent on getting Yaz and the Doctor to spend more time together) than meets the eye...

And another would be Communication is the basis of a healthy relationship by casualscribbler who I'd also consider a friend (actually everyone who loves Jenny and Vastra is automatically my friend I don't make the rules). It's a beautiful fic about Jenny and Vastra and them growing closer together. Said author has also some other brilliant works, some of which are rather on the angsty side (and made me cry a lot fhdjgskfdg), but I love them dearly.

Uhhhh, okay. So, one, I finally got to meet with a therapist about my chronic pain and she gave me addresses to a few places for stuff I got going on (I cried a lot but some of that crying really just needed to get out)

I passed an exam I worried about a lot, andddddd three, I kinda fell into a hyperfixation on the PGSM 2003 live action series and am LIVING bc nine years ago my parents claimed Sailor Moon would just be a short phase and now it's STILL THERE >:D

Do you like or dislike surprises?

Generally definitely dislike, I'm autistic and like things to be fairly predictable because I don't know how to spontaneously react to a lot of stuff. (I like to surprise other people who DO like surprises tho)

How's It Going?

Yes, I'm alive! No, I'm not taking autographs. As you can see, I finally have a Tumblr! Took me what -- a solid decade+? Anyway...

Perhaps the first question from fellow Felannie/Three Houses fic peeps might be "How's it going?". My answer? Well...okayish.

Not terrible; not great. Just okay. I guess you could say to appreciate what I have, but between "I currently have absolutely zero willpower and confidence to further my writing -- a passion I've endured for nearly two decades despite the innate difficulties in autism/ADHD" and "my game journo career just up and evaporated after nine years of hard work", that's a tough balance. (Seriously, when it comes to fanfics, my mind's just an empty blank. Can't come up with anything. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Maybe it's FETH burnout but it's like this for most anything.)

So then, why the "Writing Corner" name? Well, just naming it "Baron Ali" didn't sit with me, but I suppose you could say it's a reminder of my aspirations. In the midst of my retreat from writing, I've just been quietly playing video games and studying Japanese/piano, but I know I'm not really content with that. I could go and rattle off everything I want to do -- be it unimpeded writing day in, day out to proper time management to maintaining a proper sleep schedule *cough* *cough* -- but rather than pretend I have any grandiose expectations for this Tumblr, for now I'd like for you to think of this blog as a way to keep in touch with fandom.

As I refuse to crawl back to Twitter -- no judgement towards those who're still holding out, but I refuse to compromise my values on that front -- I confess it's been awfully lonely without the constant feedback loop of human connection, and Tumblr may well rekindle that spark. While I'm not writing in any "official" capacity, this may well bolster whatever's coming next, whenever that may be. Not a bad deal.

For the record, I keep my fandom persona "underground", so to speak. This proves a convenient outlet for unfiltered musings and the like -- and I'd love to dive into all that! -- but this means there's certain subjects (mainly my writing background) I can't dive into. Unfortunately for you Stella fans, I'm undecided whether said privacy'll extend to any pics of my lovable doggo. Rest assured, she's doing well! (And for the record, yes, I'm still maintaining my "No Discord/Gift Exchange" policy, so please no invites for either.)

So, yes, you can think of this name as a promised ideal. I don't think I'll be starting out with fics right away, but daily diaries and gaming opinions and the like will be a good springboard. Oh, and cute pics and gorgeous fanart and obnoxious memes -- am I doing this Tumblr thing right? I'm no good with HTML, so I'll be keeping things minimalist for now, but I would like to add some pages...

hello everyone :) the name’s vic but i am more go by bane. I’m 24, she/they pronouns and have been roleplaying/writing for the past 8 (going on 9) years! I have very recently been sucked into the Doctor Who and Torchwood universe and have an itch to write as Captain Jack Harkness! As I stated earlier, I am still new to the universe/show, and am only going on season 4 of Doctor Who.

Where do you come in, you may ask? Right now! I’m looking for YOU to write as Nine, Ten, or Ianto! (PLEASE note: I have yet to watch s2 onwards for Torchwood, as my friend and I are doing things chronologically, though I am aware of.. certain events that take place for Janto, unfortunately) — that being said, I would love to still write anything with me writing as our favorite Time Agent :) below is a bit more information!

some things to know about me!

-I write on discord ONLY and in private servers so that way everything is organized better (that being said, I do not mind writing through email! I have a few email writing partners myself and still enjoy our plots that way!)

-please please PLEASE be at least 18+!!! this is not only for my comfort but also for your own. regardless of where the plot goes, I feel that the scenes that may turn out require maturity from writers on both ends

-I write in 3rd person past tense and consider myself to be a multi-paragraphs to novella type of writer depending on the scene (I would prefer my partners do the same)

-I enjoy ooc chatter and sharing headcanons, memes, fanarts, and other medias, so please don’t be a super serious writer or only be looking out for a plot! I would actually like to take the time and get to know my partners and vibe together!

-I am open to aus or canon verse/divergent plots for either of these two :)

Last song: The last song I listened today is Solitude by M83 but my most listened lately is Cha cha cha by Käärijä (although you can find me usually listening to Muse in a loop).

Currently watching: I’m not proud of this, but I’m watching Gossip Girl at the moment. I like to watch this kind of (for me) empty show while I draw, so I don't have to pay much attention to it. I’m also watching S3 of The Witcher and getting disappointed by the minute.

Currently reading: I’m not reading anything but (great Ereloy) fanfics right now, because drawing and playing games are what consumes my spare time. If this counts, the last book I read was The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia A. McKillip and it’s one of my favorites now, totally recommended.

Current obsession: Anything Horizon related. Aloy x Erend content. I’m so obsessed with drawing more and more Horizon fanarts that any of these days I’m going to wake up with an Aloy mural on my room’s wall painted while I sleep.
