"Except for when you're wrong, I assume?" Uly jokes, though not much feels funny at the mention of her mother's name. Or aunt's name. The whole thing sort of made his head hurt so he couldn't imagine what kind of effect it was having on her. His own mother managed to cause him strife and he had never known the woman other than in childlike imaginings that he knew now were pointless.

He ashes the cigarette on ground beside him before he offers it back to Nina.
