Diana is falling apart at the seams. After she graduates high school, her parents kick her off their insurance and, no longer able to afford her medication for her bipolar disorder, turns to street drugs as a relief. Nobody in her life is in a rush to get her out of it. Then she overdoses. She ends up in a hospital, because she’s terrified if she doesn’t, she’ll go to jail.

While she’s there, Diana meets a number of women who have all been abandoned to the system like her, and people she would normally hate become close, if temporary, friends. With their help, recovery doesn’t seem so far away, after all. F/F with a lesbian lead.

I'm going to base my answers off of the two WIPs I'm currently struggling with. Stupid Horny Spider Lotion (Aria/Itz'si) and The Hunter and the Hunted (young! Nina/Viktor)

🦎 LIZARD: Who is your most untrustworthy OC? Why?

Nina. Like, not in a malicious way... okay maybe a little malicious. Look she's top three of my most outright dangerous OCs if I'm not counting my novel characters under Colovan and Brizeth. Motherfucker won a bet against Baba Yaga. She is the kind of person who purposely leads you to underestimate her.

She's got a code of ethics, sure, but if you happen to be the sort that ends up on her kill list, you're fucked six ways from Sunday and won't know it until it's too late because she looks like a pretty peasant girl/sweet little old grandma who wants to bake you cookies.

Even if you're her friend she's got at least five different contingency plans to end you and hide the evidence if it suits her. You can't trust her as far as you can throw her.

She knew she should run, but a quick glance back at the river revealed that the stepping stones were each covered in ice, and the water too cold to be drenched in so far from home in winter.

By the time she’d whipped her head back around the noise was much too close, and she knew she would not be able to outrun it. Terror froze her to the spot as two large hands parted two young trees as easily as she parted curtains to let in the morning sun.

A huge drider woman grinned down at her. She was bedecked in whole animal pelts roughly stitched together. About her neck was a string of teeth that looked distinctly not animal, and her hair was pulled up in a rough bun held in place by what looked to be a shin bone that had been sharpened into a point at one end.

“Darling!” the drider greeted delightedly. “Can it really be? After all this time?”
