Favourite colour? Shades of turquoise, shades of purple, black

How long have I been on Tumblr? Depends on how you count lol I've been on Tumblr about ten years ago for completely different reasons than now. This specific and current tumblr blog and activity time started about a year ago, maybe one and a half.

Where have I always wanted to travel? Scotland, Scandinavia, maybe Ireland? Wherever the weather is cool and the scenery is beautiful xD

Favourite clothing brand? I genuinely don't care for clothing brands.

Favourite singer/band? Way too many!

Current lock-/home-screen? Nikolai Lantsov is my home screen, Zoyalai is my lockscreen. Both are beautiful drawings.

Current hyperfixation? Grishaverse and roleplaying.

Relationship status? Long lasting relationship (13 years in december. holy shit I'm old)

Dream job? I don't dream of working XD Would love to make money with writing roleplays though.

Favourite non-tumblr social app? Do roleplay boards count? Otherwise...hmmm. Not really anything. I use others regularly, but it's more habit than enjoyment.

Do I have pets (if so what kind)? A fluffy and very vocal old cat lady.

Tea or coffee? Iced coffee.

39. “Are youflirting with me?” “Well, it’s about time you noticed.”

PrinceNikolai Lantsov was the dream of many young things throughout the kingdom. Hisface covered many walls, laptops, shirts and lockscreens. He was simply areal-life prince charming and everyone who found him remotely attractive sigheddreamily at least once per minute just at the thought of him.

Ofcourse, when you were the surrogate heir of an old and wealthy count and youhad gotten to know the prince much more closely than many could… Sighingdreamily over him was not on one’s list of things to do. Well, at least onAlina’s list. The list she admitted to herself, that is.

“Alina,sunshine, my favourite person in the world…!” Nikolai beamed as she walked in.The prince sat on his favourite armchair, a thick book open on his lap.

Alinarolled her eyes at his nickname, “To be your favourite person in the world I’dhave to be magical. Summon light or trick shadows into doing my bidding.”

Nikolaipatted the armchair next to him and waited patiently until she was sitting tospeak again, “You know very well you can do both things without being magical.Although,” He plopped his chin on his palm and winked at her, “I would argueand say that you are indeed quite magical.”

Alinablinked. Nikolai was rather close to her and his smile just seemed to crinklehis eyes and make them shine brighter. She noticed, not for the first time, theway little random golden specks floated in that hazel sea of his eyes. Tiny,almost unnoticeable specks. But there, nevertheless. And then, as thoughdelayed by her observation of his eyes, those words finally sank in. “Wait… Areyou… Are you flirting with me?”

Nikolai’ssmile gained an insufferable edge, as though privy to some private joke noteven Alina was in on. “Well, it’s about time you noticed.”

Alinaturned a little, focusing her eyes somewhere in front of her. Letting thatconfirmation sink in. Nikolai Lantsov, her friend, the crown prince of Ravka…Was flirting with her. No, scratch that. Had been flirting with her for a whilenow. If his reply wasn’t an indication of that then all the funny feelings inher stomach that she had ignored so well were enough evidence.

Warmfingers touched her chin, soft and almost hovering. Waiting for permission. Tosee if she wouldn’t swat at him and bolt away. When Alina showed no reaction,Nikolai turned her towards him and a shy, almost boyish smile took over hislips. His lips… So pink and lush… Dreamy lips, as his fanbase would say. Dreamyand so close. Alina watched as they parted a little and hot breath tickled herskin. Oh, what she wouldn’t give to taste those lips. To feel him against her.To know, first-hand, what it was to breathe his air and taste him. To losesight of reality in his arms. To find out just what she was missing.

“Alina…”His breath tasted of mint. How nice.

“Y-yes?”She rasped, still lost in the curves and tilts of those lips.

“Iwant… I want to kiss you.”

Shegasped, “Oh. Oh…” she blinked and looked up, only to be startled with how openand tender his eyes looked in that moment. “You… you do?”

Nikolainodded, “Yes. In fact, I have for a while now… You just…” He brushed his noseagainst hers for a fleeting moment and Alina felt her body begin to crumble,“You’re just so amazing. And brilliant. And that mouth of yours… I dream aboutkissing it. About tasting it. About drinking all your snarky remarks and gaspsand words.”

“Oh…”Her eyes fluttered a little, dying to close and die. This was… overwhelming. Akind of overwhelming that just… It was brand new. So brand new.

“CanI?” He whispered, his lips now close enough to touch. Alina nodded just once,too lost in everything happening to do much more. Once she’d been unsure sheeven tolerated his presence, let alone like him… Now… All she wanted was to getthat kiss.

Finally,after what felt like a lifetime, he closed what little distance there still wasand pressed his lips to hers. And saints… It was magical.

Nikolaiseemed to want nothing more than to learn every detail and secret of her lipssolely through slowly kissing her into oblivion. His mouth moved with thepatience of a saint, gliding over hers in a beautiful, sensual dance. Tug,press, glide, tease. Oh, the teasing… Every few heartbeats his tongue wouldtease her lower lip and a tiny little moan would escape Alina’s control. And itfuelled the kiss, slowly but surely building it up and into something fasterand hungrier.

Hishands were on her hair, her hands lost in his. His whole body was leaning intohers and all Alina could think was how it sucked that they were sitting inarmchairs and not a loveseat. The more they kissed, the more Alina knew herapparent annoyance at the prince was just a façade. Oh, it wasn’t that she’dneeded to kiss him to know how she felt… It was just… all she needed to admitit to herself. And saints, every tug and pull and press was just one moreattack on her carefully built lie. No, she didn’t not have feelings forNikolai. In fact… He was the reason her heart skipped a beat so very often.

Aduo of loud gasps emerged from the two of them as the kiss finally ended.Lightheaded to the point of needing to keep her eyes closed, Alina leaned herhead against Nikolai’s, happy for his steadier feet.

Andthen, a giggle burst free. “Saints… This was even better than my dreams.”Nikolai said, a grin all over his words.

Alinacouldn’t help but giggle as well, high as she was on the kiss. “I’m afraid Ihave to agree.”

“Ah…”He kissed her cheek and tucked away a lock of her hair, “So you had thought ofme that way.”

Sherolled her eyes and pushed him lightly, “Shut up.”

“Now?When I know you feel the same way?” He paused, “Well, I could shut up… If youmade me.”

Alinashot him a look at the blatant flirt, “You’re such a nerd sometimes.”

“Ithink that’s part of my charm, sunshine.” He brushed his nose against her cheekand nuzzled lower, only to take a moment to breathe her in, “Saints, you smellso good.”

Alina’seyes rolled in their sockets, “We’re in the library…” Nikolai hummed inagreement, his lips already doing an excellent work of getting intimate withher neck, “We should keep it…” She lost her voice. Nikolai had nibbled on herpulse before pressing a long kiss on that spot.

“Civil?”He offered after a moment, emerging from his exploration. Alina took a goodlook at him and was happy to see he looked every bit as thoroughly kissed asshe felt. He grinned, “I’ll do my best, sunshine. But it’s hard, when you tasteand smell so sweet.”

Sherolled her eyes, “You really are a nerd.”

“Butone that has tasted your sweet lips and is now hopelessly addicted to them.” Heleaned in and stole a peck, “Yes, addictive wonderful mouth.”

“Ifyou don’t keep it in your pants…”

“You’lltug me back to your room?”

Sheblushed at his tease and looked away, “Maybe.”

Nikolaibrushed a thumb across her cheek. It was as though he couldn’t ever have enoughof touching her. “Have dinner with me tonight, Alina.” He rasped, “Please.”

Sheblinked at him, “Really? But…”

Heput a finger to her lips and shushed her, “If you’re about to say anythingabout your lack of noble blood I swear I will march down to city hall and writea law against you saying it ever again. And yes,” He took his finger away,“really.”

Alinashook her head and looked down, “You’re not going to give up, are you?”

“Nowthat I’m sure of how you feel? It’ll be hard.”

Shechuckled, “I guess a date wouldn’t hurt. So long there’s no herring.”

“I’llmake sure the cook throws away any herring there’s in the kitchen just to makesure no food we eat tonight even has a smidge of its scent!” He dramaticallyannounced, going as far as thrusting one finger up in the air.

Alinalaughed openly then, Nikolai looked too ridiculous. “Okay. Dinner it is. Butjust dinner… You’re the crown prince, remember?”

Nikolai’seyes danced with the myriad of innuendos he was dying to shoot her way, “Worrynot, I never…” He bit back a grin, “Do morethan… dinner on the first date.”

Shepushed him again, “You’re terrible.”

“Terriblylost for you?” He offered, before cringing at his words, “Well, that could havegone better.”

“Yes.It could have.”

“Maybeanother kiss will inspire me again?” He wiggled his eyebrows. Which only madeAlina laugh even harder. “No?” He added, wiggling his eyebrows even morecomically.

Shesnorted and held onto her stomach. It was hurting already and Nikolai had justwiggled his eyebrows. He pulled her in and kissed her mouth, eager to drink herlaughter. And drink it he did, as Alina quickly sobered and tossed her armsaround his neck. “You’re just so…” She mumbled against the kiss.

“Incrediblyhandsome?” Nikolai offered, pausing the kiss just one bit.

“No.So insufferable.”

“I take it as a compliment, sunshine. Your smile says it all.” And then,he kissed her again, leaving no more space for words. Because for now… Therewas some more kissing to be done.
