Just watched 2 episodes of Shadow and bone s2, such a great work the show is doing, yadah yadah yadah, have a couple of questions or more like opinions/things I just don't like.

1. It was clear that we won't get any time skip, but plot happening so fast still imho hurts the Nina/Matthias story. Now that we don't get all the time she spent actually trying to save him all by herself and failing drastically, and working in literal brothel just to earn money - it kinda gets off some weight of their situation. Also minus travelling to Fjerda, it just changes the whole dynamic. Also the fact that Kaz is now do not need Matthias himself - why would he actually want to set Matthias free exactly? For his pretty good fighting skills and extremely prejudiced opinions? I figure it would be Nina who'll just make Kaz to do this, but the fact that she could do absolutely nothing until Kaz wanted him free for his information - it was the whole point. And now both the story and reasons why Matthias is here are all butchered.

Which leads me to this question - does the fact that season 2 us following Crooked Kingdom means this big bad thing will happen in the end of this season? Shit, that would be so bad, I'm not ready to this emotional damage...

2. Crows story is going straight to Crooked Kingdom, it's, well, a thing, but can we see Crows that are actually good at what they are doing? For now they are just going from one trap to another, and I know that it is what happened in Crooked Kingdom more or less, but it followed Six of Crows - book where they were pretty much on top of their game until the very end. But show crows were different story - they maybe were crows but not six and they mostly failed their mission. So second season in raw about crows failing - that seems also bad.

But I actually enjoyed Six Crows so much, they are so good together. Wylan is so perfect *chef's kiss*. Nina is just the best - period.

As for Alina, Darkling, Mal and others - I just don't care enough and I actually hate the animal killing subplot so much - but hey, Nikolai is so damn awesome! Show me more Nikolai and we'll be good.
