There's something very relaxing about running around the forest as a giant wolf-creature.

headcanon that as sophie ages, she gets more and more off-put by how she still looks twenty at some age past 40. the only wrinkles she has are smile lines and a barely-there crease between her eyebrows that never leaves. no gray hairs. it doesn’t feel like there’s any physical evidence of how much stress aged her too fast.

(maybe she dyes more grays into her hair to feel better about her reflection, the more time passes by. maybe, on bad days, she contours wrinkles into her skin with makeup. maybe the bad days get more frequent as she ages outside the human lifespan. maybe.)

You know what's so funny about finding an old anime you watched in childhood

Then learning the main character you stan back then died in season 2?

Pain, pain fuck this gosh, fuckkkk

Then going to fanworks to heal your broken heart and finding out there's a ship with the main character's male friend and that guy is basically the 2nd mc (and apparently there's a kid in the future scenes that looks like the two of them mixed together and im just ????? Wait what the hell, if thats not a sign that its a viable ship then I dont know what is) instantly shipping them then going to read the most highest rating fic of them in ao3

Only to later sob over a Tokyo Ghoul au fic on the ship and the main character dies while his lover walks around in the aftermath of their war, wielding a weapon made from the corspe the mc while holding it like a lover and anyone who sees the guy just gets sad cause they know the implications of what went down between the couple.

Had a dream about an animated show with Glorfindel

(I think it was a pilot episode.)

Imagine a mountainous region. A group of orcs/goblin-like creatures are leading a few captured elves across a bridge over a great, dark, chasm. Typical evil minion muttering and grumbling sounds. 

Suddenly, a monster flies up from the chasm. It looks similar to a dragon but small. It grabs an elf and drags him down into the abyss. The orcs continue on with their prisoners.

Roll opening credits.

Various clips play as the credits roll, including one where the orcs find the elf who died floating unconscious in a cave pool. He’s glowing brightly. The light fades from his skin as the orcs gleefully fish him out of the water. Based on the progression of scenes in the intro, this takes place a significant amount of time after the first scene. 

End credits.

A group of kids/young adults hiking through rocky mountains and exploring the old caves. The caves have old cobwebs in them. It’s clear no one lives here anymore. From their talk, they aren’t supposed to be out here. The narrator fills in details about the geology and bits about the people who used to live here.

They reach a long stone bridge over a deep, mist filled chasm. Worrying music begins to play as they start across. The narration talks about a creature that once lived in the deep places, born from the mind of its enemy. The mist swirls. Something is moving in it but the kids can’t see that. They continue onward, unaware.

As the adventurers near the far end, a figure jumps up from the mist in the chasm and up onto the bridge.

Music comes to a dramatic stop.

The figure stands up, they’re holding a sword and under the armor (which looks a lot like what the orcs wore) they’re revealed to be the elf!

Cut to new scene.

Back in the caves. There aren't any cobwebs or dust now. The elf is walking through the apparently deserted passages. He has on a few pieces of armor from the last scene. He goes through a door and into a room. The room has several dead goblins in it. Unbothered, he takes some armor off of them that fits him. He continues and we see on the cave walls deep scratch marks from claws and evidence of a battle. From the way the elf is picking through what’s left, it’s clear he got here after the fighting.

Transition.

Still in the caves. Now the elf has a sword and all the armor, though it doesn’t fit him quite right. The ridiculously tall, egg-shaped helmet he’s found (yes it has little horns on the sides like cartoon vikings) keeps slipping toward his eyes. He looks silly.

From around the corner comes a short kid (a goblin/orc kid?). He’s barefoot and wearing scraps of clothes. He’s holding a half-eaten loaf of bread. 

They freeze when they see each other. The elf looks at the bread. The kid looks at the sword. 

The efl’s stomach rumbles and the kid thrusts the bread in front of himself like a shield or like he’s giving it to him while cringing away. The elf sheaths the sword and sits down. The kid, big eyes very wide, creeps closer.

Cut to new scene.

Looking down onto the chasm with the deserted bridge. The narration talks about the monsters born from the mind of their enemy. The ‘enemy’ is revealed to be the gods of old, which removed themselves from the world but the monsters remained. 

From out of the dark, misty, chasm fly several dragons. They flap higher and higher until they go over the mountain and away.

The narration talks about how the monsters just freed themselves from the caverns and will cause more destruction and chaos with their magic now they are free.

Cut back to the elf and kid who are now fast friends (the kid is dressed in some armor now, too). They’re running down a passageway. The narration says something about the elf having a vision about what they need to do. There’s a glowing blue thing on the wall and they jump into it and it swallows them up and blips out of existence. 

Cut back to the bridge with the kid adventurers on it.

The elf says something pretty. We get to see his golden hair finally shine in a ray of sunlight. Then he fights a little dragon that was about to eat the kids.

Anyway that’s it for the dream (some artistic license used to make it more coherent but it was a surprisingly well ordered dream already). I think the overall series is supposed to be about Glorfindel and that kid time traveling via that portal to defeat all the dragons, guided by the gods.

Man, elves not sleeping is one of my favorite lore things in D&D, but it sure is inconvenient when I want to write cute little fluffy elf scenes :(

(The trick is to make your Tav/PC an elf too. Maybe I can't write waking up together as the sun rises, I can write nighttime highjinks while everyone else is asleep)

I've said I wish blizzard gave the night elves (all races with glowing eyes, really) visible irises and pupils because it allows for more expressiveness in the face, and so on. But I just realized they might have actually attempted to? Either that or their gradient tool didn't gradient enough.

Cause there is definitely a separation between white and lighter blue and darker blue.

And the colors match up at least somewhat with the depiction in Warbringers: Sylvanas (scleras being a dark blue)

idk I forget when the most recent model update was so that may be entirely coincidental 💀

In any case if that IS what they were going for, they made the pupils way too big for my liking. It's a cat-about-to-pounce type look

and now I can never zoom in too close to my characters' faces ever again (/lh)
