The Bracelets are the same ✨
Kate debuted this three-stranded bracelet of cultured pearls during the Cambridges’ visit to Germany in July 2017. The piece belonged to her mother-in-law, the late Diana, Princess of Wales. The jewel was made by Nigel Milne to support Birthright, one of Diana’s charities, in 1988.
People are saying that Kate’s wearing Diana’s bracelet today, but here she is in 2008 wearing a 3 strand pearl bracelet that look similar? The one from Diana is 4 strands, right?
https://twitter.com/royallybelle_/status/1670840177072259077?s=46&t=TM_i8m7KqCWQ0LfgOgIoWg
Diana's was also 3 strands.. you can see here it's the same one.. though Kate has started wearing a 4 strand one that is believed to be from QE

WALK WALK FASHION BABY | It's been so long but she's back and she's fashionable. For her morning appearance at the Qatar State Visit, Catherine wore a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen coat over an Eponine London coatdress - both were maroon in colour, matching the Qatari flag. She wore a repeated hat (her Sahar Millinery beret) and new boots, from Gianvito Rossi. Catherine carried her trusty Chanel bag. Finally, Catherine reached into the vault for her jewellery: Diana's Nigel Milne triple-strand pearl bracelet, the late Queen’s Japanese four-row pearl and diamond choker, and the late Queen's Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings.

Foreverinthepagesofhistory challenge day 2: Ball outfit
Tumblr media
For a tiara i choose the Fife tiara. It was owned by Princess Louise the oldest daughter of Edward VII of the UK, who got it as a wedding gift. The tiara is thought to be a work of Parisian Jeweler Oscar Massin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For a dress I chose a dress worn by another of King Edwards daughters, Queen Maud of Norway. The dress was made between 1905 and 1910 and I don't know who made it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For earrings I chose The Princess of Wales' wedding earrings. the oak leaves and acorn diamond earrings were a gift from her parents, they were made by Robinson Pelham. For a necklace I chose the George VI festoon necklace, which was commissioned from Garrard in 1950.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For other details I chose the three-strand pearl necklace designed by Nigel Milne in 1988 for Princess Diana, now worn by The Princess of Wales. And a simple one-strand pearl necklace choker, worn above by princess Diana. As for choose I don't have any pictures but i would wear choose of the type worn in the 1920s.
for @foreverinthepagesofhistory's 300 follower celebration challenge day 2: choose an outfit for a ball you would wear, but every item must have been worn by a royal.

BIRDS OF PREY aka THE PERFECT ALIBI (Dir: Basil Dean, 1930).
Birds of Prey, released in the US as The Perfect Alibi, is an early British talkie co-scripted by director / producer Dean and A A Milne.
Based upon Milne’s play The Fourth Wall, this creaky thriller has little of the whimsical charm of Winnie the Pooh. Rather the story concerns the murder investigation, by Frank Lawton and Dorothy Byrd, of their uncle and guardian C Aubrey Smith.
In effect, Birds of Prey is a murder mystery in which the audience know the identity of the murder. As such, its mild thrills are to be gleaned from how and when the killers will be caught. The whole affair is rather jolly and somewhat predictable. However, Nigel Bruce, in a supporting role here as a blustering major, is always entertaining and keep an eye out for an uncredited appearance by future British film legend Jack Hawkins.

Designer of Diana’s Pearl Bracelet Identified
Tumblr media
The wonderful Ayvee over at RJWMB has found the designer of the pearl bracelet that was recently worn by the Duchess of Cambridge.  It was made by London based jeweller, Nigel Milne, for his 1988/1989 Birthright collection.  The proceeds from this collection went to support the Birthright charity of which Diana, Princess of Wales was patron.
Tumblr media
Since then Birthright has been renamed Wellbeing of Women and in 2008 Prince William was patron of their Baby Bio Bank appeal.  From the charity’s website...
We fund medical research
Wellbeing of Women funds the research careers of the very best and brightest young gynaecologists, obstetricians and midwives. They will go on to become experts in their field, making an invaluable contribution to significant improvements and innovations in women’s gynaecological and reproductive health.
We also fund some of the very best research in women’s health in the UK, according to the highest standards of peer review. Since the charity was founded, we have contributed to many life-changing medical developments – IVF, fetal scanning, vitamin supplements in pregnancy and cervical cancer screening, to name just a few.
We raise awareness
We work to improve the public’s awareness of the health issues affecting women at each stage of their lives. We provide health information
We provide the most up-to-date information on women’s health to support individuals, their families and friends.
