What would a fully evolved intersex nidoran look like?
Probably would vary depending on things like chromosomes (do Pokemon have chromosomes? whatever). I could easily see something like an intersex Nido having the spines and markings of a Nidoking but the color and jaw of a Nidoqueen or something.
#petition to call intersex nidos nidothings because that's what dot calls her persona in the newest anime#pokemon#nidoqueen#nidoking#nidoran

im working on the outline/scripts of my MLPokemon stuff and im realizing how many fucking nicknames i need to make for all the protag's pokemon. AND most of the rivals. why did i insist on this LMAO
particularly stuck on Leaf's Nidoran/Nidorino/Nidoking at the moment. nothing im thinking of is sticking X]
#red's charmander+evos is named Brucy after the og nuzlocke comics#like. i wanna have something cool with a poison-y feel to it cause thats nidoking to me right? but i also want it to feel; like; purple.#that doesn't make any sense but like the names gotta have a purple vibe to it#the nido has a careful or calm nature if that helps any. if someone has any ideas X]

HCs for Giovanni, Archer, and Colress with a shiny charm S/O - they just have unreal luck with shiny pokemon they catch them bc they know they're rare and tend to just gift shiny mons to them (which I feel like for Giovanni and Archer that's such a bad idea those pokemon are getting sold or something) Bonus thought just rolling in my brain - Giovanni and S/O with matching shiny Nidos - or S/O having a shiny variant of the character's ace mon - I just think it's cute
cw: fluff, mentions of pokemon selling in Giovanni and Archer's parts
characters: Giovanni, Archer, Colress, Grimsley
🚀Giovanni🐈
🟥 He finds this trait quite valuable, naturally. Pokemon of any rare colouration will fetch a higher price even if they are common pokemon that most will barely register as important. Whether he believes you are a living shiny charm… He just assumes you are talented in seeking out these pokemon. There are many legends and rumours about things that make these genetic anomalies more likely to occur, of course. He had messed around with a few himself to see if it were at all possible. Unfortunately, he decided that was not the case. Or, perhaps the difference was not worth whatever it took to procure the supposed lucky items. Unfortunately, most of your gifts to him are passed along to his sellers, but he does keep quite a few nonetheless.
🟥 When you gifted him a blue, male Nidoran, you had somehow pierced his cold heart. A rare genuine smile crossed his lips as he regarded the pokemon carefully. It seemed you were aware of his tastes. He appreciated the gift thoroughly… The pokemon would join his team quite quickly, earning its place among his other pokemon. The blue Nidoking almost becoming something like an ace to him. Of course, your purple female Nidoran sparked a certain kind of joy in him. Something between a quiet claim on you and your obvious interest in matching with him. The green Nidoqueen almost represents a certain status you have within his organisation, even if you were not officially a member.
🐕Archer🚀
♦️ Your talent intrigues him, no doubt. Whether this is before or after Giovanni disbanded Rocket, he is always looking for a way to increase profits, and your generous gifts certainly give him a hand there. He is aware that he should feel worse about giving away the pokemon that you so lovingly gift to him, but he has dedicated his whole self to Rocket... Assuredly, you would come to understand. You give him so many since you seem to attract them. Part of him wants to study how you do it and imitate you, but even you seem unaware of just how you did it. It was frustrating, but he supposed it mattered little since you kept a nice supply to him. He is quite like his boss in many regards to this… There is a fake apology from him if you do seem hurt by his actions. The last thing he wants is for you to run off or lose your gifts.
♦️ He does keep some of them, though. Archer is not stupid enough to let things that clearly mean a lot to you slip away from him. And besides… Part of him does appreciate that you clearly adore him so much that you would give these gifts away. A green Zubat stays with him alongside a blue Houndour. The fact you gifted him such pokemon... He understood. They would even possibly join his team to reflect his position as an executive. (Though, only if Giovanni himself had a few shinies, too.) When you show him your bright blue Houndoom, he lets himself have a genuine smile. How cute. You wanted to match with him. Your love was clearly secured. He lets himself breathe and sends out his Houndoom. The two pokemon seem to reflect the relationship you two had in no time at all.
🥼Colress🛸
🧪 He is not necessarily sure he believes in your luck as a superstitious thing, but there is clearly something about you that does seem to attract shiny pokemon to you. Colress was fully aware of rumours about shiny charms and breeding pokemon from two different regions to increase the chances of hatching a shiny variation. There was scientific documentation even, but the increased chances were never something potentially high enough to warrant it if you were a normal person and not a breeder. He pondered what about you could attract these pokemon. Luck was something that was calculable and could be broken down, but he doubted it was just that. He is fascinated in your existence as a scientist, and he is documenting everything related to your outings. His current theory is a pheromone. Do not even ask how he got there.
🧪 Your gifts of shiny pokemon are thoroughly cherished. His research should naturally include multiple kinds of variations and variables related to pokemon and bonds, so having the chance to work with such rare pokemon gives him a chance to explore as many opportunities as possible. They are well taken care of, too, naturally. It is not in Colress's nature to be unnecessarily cruel. When you start gifting him shiny variants of his own team, his eyes light up. Even better to compare… He is utterly fascinated. When you show up with a beige-toned Klinklang, he is further elated. You chose one of his choices of pokemon species to keep as a partner. His bond with you must be quite strong, as well. There will be lots of data to observe… Prepare to be followed around by Colress and his tablet. You have entirely caught his heart and scientific interest.
♠️Grimsley❤️
♤ His intrigue is certainly up there. There was a certain theory he had about you being a good luck charm, but this was clearly some further expression of it. He fully believes that you must be some strangely lucky person due to the sheer number of shinies that you encounter. Part of him wonders if he should strap you up with a shiny charm, have you do a certain pokemon breeding method, and see what profits are to be had. He starts internally betting your odds, wanting to figure out just what percentage you had to gather. Anything can become gambling for him, and your odds of finding a shiny Audino seem just as good as playing roulette. Really, he is simply astounded that his read on you had been even more correct that he initially intended.
♡ Your gifts of shiny pokemon are appreciated, and he takes the time to care for everything you give to him. Unlike some people, he actually enjoys gifts from his partner, and the fact that you trust him with these pokemon does mean a lot to him. Grimsley is aware of how shady he seems but feels glad that you saw through it. The shiny Purrloin you gave him was truly something cherished. He lets the blue kitten curl up in his lap any time, not caring about the fur that takes over his suits. Part of him wonders if your luck transfers over to the pokemon you gift… He supposes he could find out by training them. When you appear with a red Liepard rubbing into your side, his smirk becomes uncontrolled. Oh, is that it? He easily makes the cruel pokemon purr while meeting your eyes. It seemed you wanted to match. He was more than happy to do so. But… Well, his Liepard was a bit too jealous to do anything in the end. How unfortunate.

Pokecember 2024 #11: Poison Type
Was torn between all of the Nidos for this one, but eventually decided on Nidoqueen cause she pretty :3
Also this is more specifically an Anthro Nidoqueen, it's what i was going for anyways. Anthro Pokemon awesome
unfortunately her shiny is infamously not great. I don't actually hate it, it's a nice shade of green. it's just the inconsistency with Nidoking's shiny and her pre-evolution's shinies for me. Also the shade of pink used doesn't pair well with the green, so she looks ill and sunburned ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
#fynn art#paint.net#pokecember#pokemon#pokemon anthro#nidoqueen#think this is the first anthro i've done for pokecember :3#definitely gonna be more to come!

back on my Pokemon art kick and as usual refusing to just be normal abt it, so they're all (somewhat drastic) redesigns and reimaginings.
Magikarp and Gyarados are difficult bc as far as Pokemon designs go, they're basically already perfect, so instead I tried combining Beta and Mega Gyarados with their main form, then backdating those changes to Magikarp who's now eyeless. I was toying with dropping the water typing from them entirely and having them as Dark and Dark/Flying, but that might be too drastic.
The Nido line I have weirdly strong feelings about, so they'll like change again, but I wanted to make King and Queen more mammalian, as well as differentiate them a bit more by keeping Nidoking as a land predator while the larger Nidoqueen is Poison/Ice and mainly an aquatic predator.
Sandshrew and the re-named Xandslash are a bit funky. Instead of separate Kanto/Alola variants, this Sandshrew is from a hybrid population and a Ground/Ice Type. Xandslash is always Steel when it evolves, but changes its primary typing based on temperature and can shift between typings either naturally over a period of time or spontaneously with human (read: player) intervention.
Aipom and Ambipom I posted the pencils for. I wanted to rework Aipom with aspects of its evolution in mind, but Ambipom is a pretty major departure. I had kind of a menacing jungle cryptid (a la Zarude) in mind, but between the coloration and the visual tweaks, it probably doesn't qualify as "Normal" anymore.
Not a lot of strict lore here, more of an impressionistic "reimagining" but I've been on a kick

Gen I, Complete!
That's right, with Mew's poll finalized we can say we have made it through the entirety of Gen I's Pokemon (plus variants introduced in later generations)!
As such, I'd like to take a moment to recognize this generations...
Sultans of Smash!
(Which is just a fancy way of saying they got more "Smash" than "Pass" votes)
So then, lets go through the list! Our Smashables are (under the Read More because holy fuck we're gonna be here a while):
Venusaur! Voted 53.3% Smashable in Standard Form and 54.9% Smashable in Mega Form! Though sadly, Gigantamax did not make the cut.
Charizard, who really raked in the Smashes! Boasting a 58.2% Smash vote in Standard Form, a whopping 70.4% Smash vote in Mega X Form, an even 66% Smash vote in Mega Y Form, and a similar to standard 57.1% Smash vote in Gigantamax, we cannot deny it: Charizard is smashable however one pleases!
And rounding out the OG Starter Trio, Blastoise! Voted 57.4% Smashable in Standard Form! But, alas, only Standard Blastoise was voted smashable... I guess extra cannons just don't do it these days.
Looks like the Snakes are Sexy trope is in effect (maybe), because Arbok made the cut at 53.7%! Guess more people love snakes than you'd think.
Looks like this group has a queen. Or should I say, a Nidoqueen? At 61.7%, it seems she's managed to charm many trainers throughout the years!
But of course, where there's a queen, there's often a king! So it's only fitting that Nidoking joins the Sultans of Smash! Hitting a respectable 66.2%, it seems the Nido- royal family has made monarchists of more than a few.
It's a trend as old as time (or at least as old as the country of Japan). The Kitsune of Japanese folklore has always been seen with an aura of sultriness in even some of its oldest appearances, and it seems Pokemon is no exception. Ninetails has been voted Smashable, with the classic Kantonian Ninetails ranking at 64.5% and the more modern Alolan Ninetails at 66.7%! Though really, considering how common art of these two are, It's surely no surprise they've made it here.
Of course, a trend must be noted: Whenever Ninetails is anthropomorphized, it's almost always as a woman. So one has to wonder, if Ninetails is the lord of the female anthros, who's the lord of the male anthros? Well for that, look no further than Ninetails' counterpart from Red version, Arcanine! With an impressive 73% smashability in Kantonian form (plus the largest number of overall votes) and a fine 63.5% in Hisuian form, Arcanine's appeal is very much apparent to many.
I'd like to congratulate this next one for being the first non-final evolution to make the cut! Kadabra has managed to pull a 59.8% Smashability rating, earning them a spot in the Sultans of Smash!
Of course, Kadabra's not the only member of this family on here. Alakazam has also been voted Smashable, at 66.1% for Standard form and 55.4% for Mega! Seems Max was right, the ladies do love a good spoon-bending (which is impressive, considering he doesn't even like girls).
Perhaps you're not much for brains, maybe you prefer brawn. If that's the case, Machoke has you covered! At a 63.9% Smash rating, seems this Superpower Pokemon also has the super power of getting some.
But of course, much like their Psychic-Type counterpart family, it doesn't end with Machoke. Oh no, Machamp has also made their way to the list, with a 61.1% Smash in Standard Form and a 52.4% Smash in Gigantamax! I guess with four arms, there really is enough of Machamp to go around for everyone!
I suppose the allure of the tentacles is too strong for some to pass up, because Tentacruel has made it at a 51.3% Smash vote! Just, uh, make sure to have some Antidotes on hand for your fun times...
A loyal steed can get one through many things, and few steeds are so loyal as Rapidash! With Kantonian at 59.2% and Galarian at 64.8%, maybe we need to start calling them Nearl Arknights the way people wanna smash these horses.
I'm gonna be honest, this one I didn't see coming! Haunter has managed a 55.4% Smash vote, earning them a spot in the Sultans of Smash! Guess more people must be into ghosts than I thought.
This next one, less of a surprise! They're big, they're fun, and they can probably do all the stuff a Haunter can and more, Gengar has made the cut in all forms, with a 63.7% for Standard Form, a 60.8% for Mega, and a 53.4% for Gigantamax! What can we say, Gengar has it going on according to the statistics.
And next on the list, Hitmonchan! Making the cut at 52.6% and beating out the kick-based Hitmonlee, it would seem you can get some if you skip leg day! (...There's probably a fisting joke in here somewhere as well, but lets not go there. Low hanging fruit and all.)
It's one of the oldest questions: "Hey baby what that tongue do?" And it would seem Pokemon are not immune to this question either, or at least Lickitung isn't! And at a 55.4% Smash vote, the answer seems to be "This tongue does a lot."
We got ourselves a bit of an oddity on this one, as Tauros has made the cut... but only in two of its Paldean forms, with Blaze Breed hitting 60.4% Smash and Aqua Breed getting a 52.1% Smash! That said, the other two come close as well, so I must conclude that the additional elemental types just add that special something!
Many people love to be serenaded, it's just one of those facts of life. So maybe it'll come as no surprise that the musically inclined Lapras has managed to carve itself a nice 63.4% Smashability rating in the votes! That said, sadly Gigantamax has not had the same luck. Guess it's true, sometimes the original is just better.
Shapeshifting! Almost any time a super power with smash-based applications is thought of, shapeshifting is one of the first to be imagined. So it's almost certainly no surprise that the mercurial Ditto has managed to earn itself a hefty 70.1% Smash rating!
Oh boy queue up the copypasta, because Vaporeon has proven that people agree! Specifically, 52% of voters agree! ...No I'm not putting the copypasta here, someone already did that on Vaporeon's poll.
Of course, that's not to say the rest of the Eeveelutions are unloved! Why, Jolteon has managed to pull a 54.5% Smash rating!
And of course, Flareon isn't forgotten either (at least by the fans, the way the actual games treat it you have to wonder about Game Freak...)! Making it to a 52.4% Smash rating, Flareon (and Jolteon, as stated above) prove that all three OG Eeveelutions have their fair share of the love.
Coming in as the 25th member of the Sultans of Smash, Snorlax has proven to be considered big and beautiful by 56% of the vote! Though it would seem this does not extend to Gigantamax Snorlax, though judging by that tree on their belly they may simply be Too Big To Smash.
And of course, we now get to the OG Legendary Trio, the Elemental Birds! And starting us off is Articuno! Specifically, Galarian Articuno, who has managed to outsmash their Kantonian cousin and gain themselves a 69% Smash rating (nice). Personally, I think it's the Char Aznable vibes they give off, what with the mask and the psychic powers and the redder coloration (being purple to the Kantonian's blue) and the being faster (though not 3x faster).
And much like Articuno, Galarian Moltres has managed to overtake their Kantonian cousin and snatch the Smash rating! And at 60.8% Smash, it's clear that, at least for Moltres, they do go for the jerks.
We saw with Arbok, and now we see it here with Dragonair and their 61.8% Smash rating, serpentine Pokemon have their share of fans down to smash!
And as the first fully evolved Pseudo-Legendary and the first fully evolved Dragon-Type, Dragonite's 57.3% Smash rating has reminded us that sometimes, being big and friendly while also being strong enough to kick ass has its charms!
And finally, rounding out Gen I's Sultans of Smash, we have The Gamebreaker of their day, the original Bragging Rights 'Mon, Mewtwo! With a 68.8% in their Standard Form and a 56.7% in their Mega X Form, Mewtwo proves they still got it in terms of smashing! Though it seems that Mega Mewtwo just doesn't have the raw smashing charisma of their other two forms...
And that wraps up the Gen I Who's Who of Smashing! See you all after Gen II!

It just occurred to me how horrifying the dungeon-feral interaction is. Like, it seems pretty well known. If you get caught in a dungeon formation, you're in big trouble.
Now, imagine the Nidoqueen from that one dungeon, trying to protect her kids. When the dungeon was forming, she must've been terrified, holding her babies close and begging that if nothing else, even as a feral, she would still protect her kids.
(Side note: Does that nidoqueen have any relation to the Nidoking guard or just a coincidence?)
Yup!!! :) Terrible, isn't it? No wonder Pokemon are starting to get desperate to "fix" everything!
And nope! Just a coincidence. I love the nido lines. ;v;

What do you think what type of Pokémon trainer would he be and what type of Pokémon would he have?
I have thoroughly thought this out and has even written this in my Pokémon AU post but I’ll just go into more detail here!
Pokémon AU! Iguro Obanai
“Lord of the Poisons~ welcome him, Iguro Obanai~! He’ll wear down your Pokémon with deadly poisons and drown out your chances of winning~! The one and only Poison Elite Nine”
Type of Pokémon
Obanai uses Poison-type and he would be a Elite Four member(or Elite Nine as to fit the Hashira)
Kaburamaru would be a Shiny Ekans(as Shiny Ekans are the closest to white, small snake Pokémon you can get)
Obanai uses Poison-types solely because Kaburamaru is a Poison-type
Obanai’s choice of his league team is the following in exact order;
Seviper, Scolipede, Drapion, Toxicroak, Crobat & Nidoqueen
Nidoqueen is Obanai’s ace and strongest of his six. The reason Nidoqueen was chosen over Nidoking is as a attempt, to try cure Obanai of his fear over women
Nidoqueen is practically Obanai’s starter Pokémon, gifted from the Master, and she has special IVs and access to a Mega transformation
Whilst all the other five Pokémon on his team are self-found
Type of Trainer
Obanai is extremely strict and tough on his Pokémon. He suspects them to follow his commands with no hesitation and he won’t take shit. If they purposefully disobey him, he’ll punish them
By putting them in the PC at the Pokecentre for a few hours so they learn their lesson
As a Elite Four/Nine, Obanai is one of the nine most powerful Pokémon trainers in Japan and his training schedule reflects this
Obanai uses direct counteractive moves to get around his Pokémon’s weaknesses. Every one of his Pokémon can fight a ground-type or a psychic-type
Kaburamaru is not a battle Pokémon, kept out as a detection and security alarm as his senses are refined. Many shiny collectors try to buy Kaburamaru off Obanai
Anytime Obanai is out of the Tokyo Plateau, he is exploring the forests for specific berries and natural healing to support to defence items to be held by his Pokémon for additional help, alongside his two allowed Super Potions
Obanai is not favouritistic towards any of his six team but with his ace Nidoqueen, he is slightly less tough on as she is his best fighter
Obanai’s main strategy up against enemies is the poisoning status condition. He uses Poison Jab or Cross Poison and once he has inflicted poison, he mixes inbetween offence and defence until the enemy Pokemon faints from poison
However. Obanai is very grateful of and protective over his Pokémon. The moment even just one is injured or fainted, he either rushes it to a pokecentre or uses his own supplies to heal it
Kaburamaru is the only Pokémon that stays out constantly. His team are usually sleeping in their pokeballs unless summoned, Obanai believes they should preserve their strength if not being used
Obanai doesn’t nickname his Pokémon. They all are called by their species like Sanemi. He may shorten down their names at times, as when he called Nidoqueen; “Nido” but that’s it
Fun Facts
Obanai’s room in the Tokyo Plateau is a very forest-like environment, full of poison-type Pokémon in the trees. He seems to be fine staying in the room as the Pokémon must be docile
Obanai collects Fairy-type Pokémon to give to Mitsuri. She has a few gift Fairy-types from Obanai and the only non-fighter Pokémon she has shown out, the Alcremie is also from Obanai
Obanai prefers using Nidoqueen and Crobat when having to battle Legendaries
Obanai is apart of the ‘big three’ of the Elite Nine members, alongside Gyomei and Muichiro
Yes. I still purposefully picked Crobat whilst being fully aware of it’s friendship evolution method. Obanai and his Crobat have a close relationship than can rival his with Nidoqueen
Obanai’s Nidoqueen is clingy and playful. She likes making friends but she has a very serious side and can be really cruel. She is very attached to Obanai and gets jealous over Mitsuri
Obanai’s Crobat is a quiet, monotone Pokémon by nature. He gets a thrill out of battling and likes to trick humans into thinking he drinks blood. He views Obanai as his surrogate human father
Obanai’s Toxicroak is a fun jokester, who messes with his opponents and enjoys playing with younger Pokémon he finds. He gets scolded the most by Obanai for his unserious, light-hearted behaviour
Obanai’s Drapion is a ferocious, emotionless machine built for battling. He doesn’t like his fellow teammates and expresses favouritistic love towards Obanai. He will never disobey Obanai
Obanai’s Scolipede is very calm and friendly. He enjoys setting up Pokecamps and likes to race other Pokémon for fun. He is also a big metalhead, Obanai and him bond over metal music
Obanai’s Seviper is elegant and dark, with a nasty thirst for victims to bite. It simply despises having no attention and enjoys participating in Pokémon contests. He and Obanai have a matching fang of severity
Obanai’s only non-battle Pokémon are all from Mitsuri; so a Muk, a Stuntank(since both are poisons), a Mawile(since she thought Mawile is a cool fairy type) and a Galarian Weezing(since it’s a mixture of poison and fairy)
