The Batson twins are really the definition of “I know a guy.”
Satanus: literal lord of hell/Hades, need I say more.
“Muscles” McGinnis: undercover cop, well known in the Fawcett underworld. Also called “chief” sometimes so he could be the chief of Fawcett police
Shazam: Literally one of the most powerful dc magicians.
Bromfield couple: rich as fuck
Ibis the Invincible: basically a god with that stick of his I swear
Their parents: no because they literally knew all the Fawcett heroes and even Shazam himself. My babies had CONNECTIONS FROM BIRTH.

Lights out ~ Brothers!Sturniolo Triplets
Tumblr media
Summary: Your in LA with Nick, Matt and Chris when the power suddenly goes out.
Warnings: possible swearing, nicknames, fluff
Reader's age: 10
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nick, Matt and Chris had you visit them in LA whilst you were on a break from school. Everything had been going well, you were having a great time with your brothers and seeing the city.
The four of you had settled down to watch a movie. Your parents were asleep in Nick's room, leaving your brothers to make sure you went to bed on time.
"Alright, kid, what movie do you want?" Chris asked, as Matt brought some popcorn over to you.
You shrugged and looked at the many movies listed on Netflix. You soon picked one you wanted as you curled up besides Nick with a blanket.
Everything was going well a few hours into the movie, you were laughing and joking, happily eating the popcorn, when suddenly, all the power went out.
You flinched slightly at the sudden darkness as Nick sat up. You held the blanket tightly as he silently put the torch on his phone. As he did this, he instantly saw the tears in your eyes.
"Hey sweetheart, it's okay. I know you don't like the dark okay, hopefully it won't be off long. You wanna hold my phone?" He offered, passing it over to you.
You nodded as you felt a hand on your shoulder gently. You looked over and saw it was Matt, who gave you a soft smile.
"It's okay petal." He said, rubbing your back.
"Don't like the dark." You mumbled.
"We know you don't, bub, but you got Nick's phone with the torch and we're not going anywhere." He replied.
You nodded and leaned against him, feeling more relaxed in his arms.
"It's nearly time for bed anyways, bub." Chris mentioned.
"No can't sleep without some light." You grumbled.
"You won't have to, sweetheart, I'm sure it will come on in a bit." Nick replied.
You nodded again as Matt chatted with you, helping ease your mind off the darkness in the room.
Ten minutes later the power came back on. You sighed happily as your brothers smiled.
"See, kid, it's all back now, feel better?" Chris asked.
"Yeah. Sorry." You apologised.
"No petal, don't say that, it's okay." Matt reassured you.
You smiled as they called it a night. You went with Matt to his room to get some sleep, leaving Nick and Chris to fight once again.
Matt wrapped an arm around your shoulder, kissing your forehead.
"Get some sleep, kiddo, if the power goes out again, we're not going anywhere, you're not alone." He said softly.
"Thank you." You whispered before falling into a comfortable sleep.
Billy is six years old and he doesn’t understand death.
Billy is six years old and his parents are dead. His mom is found laying on the floor of her hotel room, covered in her own blood. His dad’s body is trapped beneath the rubble, devoid of sunlight.
Billy is six years old and his sister is gone. They can’t find her body. They can’t find her clothes. They can’t find her blood or her hair. She’s just gone.
Billy is six years old and he doesn’t understand death.
He waits for them to come home. Whispers at night that he hates his uncle.
Billy is six years old and he thinks it’s his fault they haven’t come home. He got bad grades. He can’t understand the equations on the board. He made his parents leave him home. He became a burden, so they left him. Mary must think the same too, because she hasn’t come home either.
Billy is six years old and his entire life has changed. They brought his mom back, but she isn’t moving. Her eyes are closed and she isn’t moving or breathing. Dad isn’t with her.
He thinks that’s all wrong. Dad loved mom more than anything in the universe. He would never leave her. And they wouldn’t leave Mary to fend for herself. It doesn’t matter how much they must’ve hated him. He knew, with every fiber of his being, that they loved Mary.
Billy is seven years old, and he watches them lower his mother’s body into the ground from a distance. He stands behind a tree as eulogies are delivered, and two more stones are added on either side. The boxes are empty.
They have the nerve to pray for him.
Billy is seven years old and an adult finally believes in him. He finds a world of mystic and magic and impossibilities turned to possibilities.
Billy is eight when he finally uses the Historama. He’s curious. He’s tired. He’s lonely. He wants the truth.
Billy is eight when he finally understands death. His parents aren’t away because they hate him. His parents are away because they’re gone.
And yet, he can’t shake the feeling that Mary is still alive.
- - -
Mary doesn’t remember how old she is.
She has nightmares and visions and hears voices from a long forgotten past. She can’t sleep without waking up screaming. She sees faces she can’t put names to. She loves her adoptive parents, but the chasm in her heart is too deep.
Mary doesn’t remember what she likes or dislikes. She lives in a big house now, with her own room. But she likes sleeping when someone else is sleeping with her. She doesn’t think she’s ever had her own room.
Mary doesn’t remember how old she is, but she remembers the feeling of a sharp, cold hand on her shoulder, guiding her onto a boat with a name that she knows isn’t hers. She doesn’t know where she lives. She doesn’t know who her family is, or if she even has a family.
Mary doesn’t remember how old she is, but she remembers a towel over her mouth. Zoning out. Her memories floating away from her. Yelling and screaming for a mom and a dad. Something about B—
Mary doesn’t remember how old she is, and she can’t shake the feeling that she left someone behind.
Okay, worms and mold and all the infectious wriggly things that invade my mind like how Shazam has, blame @ghost144444
So, PoS had a fun alternate reality where C.C. and Marilyn Batson were the respective Captain and Mary Marvel of their world. That world fell apart despite C.C.'s efforts to keep it together so his family could be together and happy (for once). Ghost posed the idea of a fatherly Captain Marvel, and it's C.C. who just lost his entire family.
And I am mixing those together to pose that, oh yeah, C.C. is Captain Marvel and operating as The One And Only Captain, but it isn't his universe. His world fell apart, the wife he knew and the version of Marilyn here is dead, his kids are split and the world is as it was always supposed to be.
But Billy isn't Captain Marvel.
Somehow, by some miracle or curse, C.C. managed to find his way to before his son was shouldered with that burden. He gets the Wizard to agree that, with a Champion whose lost everything already ready and willing to be the current Champion, there's no need to burden Billy like how it's "supposed to be"
So this Billy is still how he normally is, but when he gets the exclusive on this new hero and gets his Whiz Job for after school covering it (while also finagling his own apartment through narrative spite) he has this upsetting and sad feeling the whole time that that hero is his dad. It has to be, he looks just how he remembers him. Maybe he doesn’t smile much or at all, and maybe he’s just holding on too hard or wishing stupidly like a dumb kid, but it has to be him. Right?
Meanwhile Mary is still having her nightmares and just barely remembering a family that was both her parents and a brother she can hardly put a face to, but she knows that her city’s new hero looks just like how she remembers her dad. And Nora? Seeing her cousins husband in the face of some new hero that popped up years later? In a world like DC’s with so much nonsense that it has to be real that he’s back from the dead? What’s she supposed to think? Or her husband Nick, who has a record and is just as guilty as Nora for falsifying the papers they used to adopt Mary.
Thoughts are thoughting and I’m sharing what’s literate rn, peace
