I had this idea of maybe taking some famous chefs and putting them in the Dungeon Meshi universe. They're just first sketches, and plan to improve each design a bit later so feel free to critique.

Zoomed in sketches and descriptions below:

Uncle Roger has a design that revolves around woks (because of course the guy that's obsessed with proper Eastern cooking would have it.) His role would be a merchant selling a special white powder that enhances any kind of dish. I might add more Malay influences but I started it off with a more generic design that I want to improve later on.

Nick has a habit of throwing knives in his outro, so he would be some kind of rogue that throws Damascus daggers/knives as an offensive move. He would be an apprentice under Gordon's party since he used to be on Masterchef. We also can't forget Pesto as his familiar while he travels.

Guga foods is the one with the weakest design element as I though he would be great as a butcher and dragon hunter hybrid. I hoped it would convey his cooking technique using a grill but it looks a bit off. I might lean on the butcher side more in the next sketches.

Lastly, Gordon as some kind of demon being the head of 'Hell's Kitchen.' I am planning to try giving him goat hooves to lean make him more devilish and might give him a huge silverware fork as a weapon. I wish I had more confidence in drawing older men haha.

I'll be making design of other chefs too like Joshua Weissman, Max the Meat guy, and maybe even Jamie Oliver.

random stuff from laylo that probably(?) doesn't mean anything but who knows 💀 the link from dan's instagram is for a profile on laylo with the slug (the ending part of a webpage) /secretpage:

from this website i got an email confirmation (like two hours ago) from the new danandphilshop email

i also put in my phone number and got this message:

i was poking around and looking at other people who have used laylo and i realized that a lot of them have just their name as their profile. sam smith is just laylo.com/samsmith/ (note this is their profile. they also have tour tickets up rn which are at laylo.com/samsmith/m/Rc8mv) and this random chef guy nick digiovanni is laylo.com/nickdigiovanni. so my first thought is that dan and phil made their profile have a slug that isn't their name (i.e. "secretpage") to prevent people from somehow finding it early. however being the nosy bitch i am, i of course had to go to laylo.com/danandphil and sure enough...

the page exists!! it's just identical to the "secretpage" page. okay so why is this at all intersting? from what i can tell, these pages are the same on the backend. when i input my email again, it wouldn't send me anything, which it does when you've already input that address, meaning in the laylo system these lead to the same place. however, i also put my phone number in again, and i got sent a different message:

i believe laylo assigns a different phone number to each profile (i tested it out with the chef and received a message from a different number). my second d&p text came from the same number as when i entered my number on /secretpage, and also i was not sent a contact card or info on unsubscribing, so again i think on the backend i signed up for the same thing twice. but i just thought it was curious that the message was different!! and also that the second text has the same message as the email from the other laylo page. can anyone with access to an email that hasn't been entered into /secretpage try entering the address into /danandphil and see what message is sent in the email? 👀👀

(also: i tried re-entering my phone number on /secretpage and it won't send me another message)
