Mha Valentines
Bakugo, Izuku, Denki, and Tokoyami x reader headcannons/mini fics for Valentines day!
(Sorry this is a bit late right before I posted this it got deleted so I had to re write the whole thing whoops)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
♡Bakugo♡
~For past relationships (if he was in anyone but that's a topic for another day) he wouldn't make a big fuss about valentines day.
~He doesn't hate valentines days he just...hates valentines day.
~That being said I think he just never got the appeal before he got in a serious relationship with you
~All the sudden he sees a stuffed animal that reminds him of you and he cant just leave the store without it. So he goes up to the counter and awkwardly buys the plushie.
~After buying that for you, and keeping it hidden from you, about a week before valentines day he finds your favorite candy that normally is out of stock.
~So yeah sue him when he buys it for you. You'd get fussy if he didn't.
~But all the sudden he has a lot of gifts for you without even trying. So in the privateness of his dorm he gets out the multitude of gifts and your left stunned. Because just a week before Bakugo had made it clear he wasn't doing anything for valentines day.
~Before you can even say anything he blurts out "Jist shut up and accept it dumbass. And don't go run your mouth about it I don't want anyone thinking I'm getting soft."
~Despite his tough guy act yiu don't miss the brightness of his ears.
♡Izuku♡
~Of course the idea, the concept, of Valentines day was amazing to him. But actually execution was terrible for him.
~What was he supposed to do! Make a grand display? Huge fireworks and a large bouquet??
~OK yeah absolutely not he couldn't do that. But something small he could do. Like a dinner or a peice of jewelry.
~He'd spend a long time writing in his notebook the perfect way to ask you out and anything and everything that could go 'wrong'
~Acting like you aren't already together and he hasn't asked you out before and it's worked.
~Day of Valentines, good old February 14 rolls around and with his amazing luck almost everything goes wrong. The store he had a reservation over booked and the delivery service lost your jewelry in the mail.
~Luckily for him you rescue him from his sulking with the suggestion of a picnic. During said picnic the two of you make eachother flower crowns and all he can think is 'this is the most perfect day ever, what did I do to deserve this?'
♡Denki♡
~Very firm believer he loves being over the top.
~Firm believer that he's a form believer no matter how long you've been together you need to re ask to be your partners valentines every year. (Just to make sure of course)
~So he plans and plans and it's really the only thing he's ever truly thought out.
~Learns your favorite flowers (if he didn't already know), makes a big sign with some sort of electricity pun to ask you to be his valentines.
~Forces Gets Sero, Kirishima, and Mina (bakugo would refuse) to keep you out of your dorm so he can prepare it for you and when you finally see all he set up its perfect every year
~One of those guys who gets like a gigantic bouquet just because
~Honestly just he's the opposite of nonchalant, he's a chalant king
~He set up a dinner date and a night in the dorm lego date or smth cute like that, just for the two of u.
♡Tokoyami♡
~This beautiful man doesn't really know what to do.
~To him Valentines day is so funky
~In my mind he's a gift giver and has a love langue of acts of service and quality time man so when valentines comes around he's like....this is what I do all the time?
~Buuuuuuutttttt he'd write a poem for you. I've said before he likes writing stuff about you but this time he actually give it to you
~He writes it all fancy and on some nice paper and gets all flustered when he hands it to you.
~The amount of love he puts into that note nearly bring you to tears.
~Jewelry. He's a bird obviously he likes jewelry. No fr he'd take you to a bead store and you guys get the colors of eachothers eyes.
~So you can go home with your favorite snacks and make bracelets for each other. Yours with a F and his with the first letter of your name.
~OK so dark Shadow might get a little in the way of the date but it's kinda just like if you had your little siblings tag along or smth
Could you please review Zombie neopets?
Tumblr media
Zombie was a logical choice for Neopets to add as a color, as zombies had already appeared in the lore before. However, while the concept is solid, I do find the execution to be a bit lacking at times. It's usually just taking a Neopet, making it a very light green or sometimes blue, adding stitches and mottling, and then giving it a less happy expression (if they even bother doing that).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes zombie pets will at least have some torn clothing, but it's not a consistent feature, and the amount of clothing tends to vary between full outfits and just a single item. All of this is fine, but underwhelming for the most part. It feels like a color like this really needs to be pushed more in terms of gore and rotting-ness, and minus a few exceptions listed below, Neopets vary rarely dares to go that direction.
Zombie was released after customization, so there's no pre-conversion art to talk about.
Favorite Species:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elephante: Like I said, a lot of zombie pets play it very safe, so the zombie Elephante is a much needed breath of fresh air. It's surprisingly gory, and all the lacerations and details make it feel cohesive and very fleshed out. It not only comes with a full outfit, but it also has a chunk of exposed skull in place of the usual headpiece that can be removed to reveal its brain. It's by far the best zombie pet out there, and I only wish more zombie pets looked this good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flotsam: The zombie Flotsam is not nearly as impressive as the Elephante, but for whatever reason I find myself liking it quite a bit. I think the reason is just the outfit—the expression is perfect and something about the twisted glasses really adds a lot the design. I wouldn't have minded seeing more color and scarring like the Elephant has, but this is one of the better examples of the standard look.
Tumblr media
Jubjub: Another one that's more colorful and gory than most zombie pets, the zombie Jubjub not only has a bandage, but most of its skin has fallen off to reveal its flesh underneath with only a few staples holding it in place. It's a really cool concept, and the colors and gory bits really come together nicely. There's no wearables, but given that Jubjubs can't wear clothes very well anyway that's not a huge loss.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BONUS: I don't actually think the zombie Poogle is all that impressive from a general design standpoint, but I have to give it a shoutout just for that masterpiece of an expression.
Least Favorite Species:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jetsam: Zombie is one those colors where there's no truly terrible options, just mediocre ones. This applies to the zombie Jetsam, which is a very standard zombie pet with nothing to make it stand out. The main reason I picked it for this spot, however, is that the body texture is a really unpleasant polka dotted look with a few way-too-evenly placed small stitches. Most zombie pets are at least decently textured, but I can't say that here. Also, the shading of most of the body feels weirdly low-contrast.
Thoughts on Megatron's Redemption
I've sprinkled my thoughts in other posts, but wanted to make a longer version especially since it ties into how the character is in my Lotus AU.
To be it bluntly, IMO Megatron's change of spark is half assed in ES. The show and his bios stress that he's truly changed... except that he's shown actively having blood knight tendencies and happily tells Bee that using intimidation/force is a valid way to deal with underlings. We get hints of how he used to be, but it's like the writers were worried about exploring things more in depth unless it was about Starscream.
The thing that stands out to me though is that his dialogue and actions makes it seem like his defection is more out of necessity than full blown remorse. He wants what's best for the Cybertronians and he says that seeing Dot treat the Cons with more care than he did was a wake up call. And that's part of the issue for me. Yes, he acknowledges that humanity and Earth suffered as a result of the War, but that's a side note for him compared to how terrible he feels about what's become of the Cybertronian race.
His response to Optimus after the Seeker fight is, "Now humanity has another reason to fear us." and he takes the time to tell Mandroid that TFs aren't a threat to Earth. He knows that TFs have to play nice with humanity, especially because most TFs on Earth think they're the last ones left of their race. The only human he likes is Dot to the point that GHOST had to trick her coming to Witwicky to work with him and he only chose an Earth altmode to save her. It's unlikely that he'd even bother with Alex, Robby, and Mo if they weren't important to Dot.
Even his Production Bible bio does the same "Oh, he's truly reformed." only to add that he's tempted to take the Emberstone for himself and eventually does:
Tumblr media
His interest in the Terrans is mostly because they renewed his hope for the survival of his species. Twitch (the leader) is the only one out of the Terrans that he has any sort of bond with.
Basically, I find Megatron's characterization just another example of ES' tendency of executing concepts in a way that goes against the intention.
SPONTANEOUS MINI REVIEW BECAUSE I REALIZED THAT I HAVENT FUCKING TALKED ABOUT FRAGMENTARY PASSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok so. i actually really liked this one!
so uh. if you witnessed that incredibly long thread i made yelling about kh3 you will know that i. am not a fan of the look of modern kh. i think its kind of uninteresting compared to the delightfully cartoony style and just generally i dont like more realistic looks to games that already had a unique visual identity.
so im here to say that i think it works for 0.2! im a good way through kh3 and i dont think it works well there and ill get to that when i eventually review that game but. in 0.2 i think the new style fits the more dark tone very nicely, and the enviornments are absolutely gorgeous. like i came out of ddd thinking absolutely nothing could top symphony of sorcery in terms of world design and was proven wrong. the realm of darkness is my new favorite kh "world". for my mutuals who havent played kh, look at this!!! its absolutely gorgeous
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the environments are actually my favorite thing about this game. besides being beautiful, theyre also delightfully trippy and unsettling. theres a section where you have to climb up a seemingly never ending staircase, and every time you reach what you think is the top you hear aquas worst thoughts. a lot of the areas are twisted, destroyed versions of worlds seen in bbs. its very dark (fitting, for the realm of darkness) and honestly its a treat to just walk around admiring the view. the visual storytelling is as good as kh ever gets.
i briefly mentioned aquas thoughts a minute ago so ill bring them up again, her commentary adds a lot to the desolate atmosphere, and this game really feels like a character study. it shows her desperation, her worst thoughts, her hope despite everything, and its just genuinely good. i havent been able to say that about khs character writing since like. days. its GOOD.
i am. not a fan of bbs' writing. i think its got a good underlying concept with absolutely terrible execution, and it makes me wonder at times if the things i like about it were intentional or not. but this game takes the best written character of bbs and gives her more depth than they ever could before. i can say with confidence that aqua is one of the best characters in the series, and a lot of it is because of this game.
the tone here is very gloomy, but thats not really a complaint because the game is so short. the depressing atmosphere isnt too much to bear because youre barely in it for more than 2 hours. and i think that run time is EXACTLY long enough. it goes for exactly as long as it needs to tell the story and still give a moment to breathe.
as for gameplay. im not the biggest fan of the updated system. i like to think im open to change with kh's combat. i think the command deck has potential and the card system in com was fun and i actually liked days' panel system. but something about the way this new version of the system feels to play is just. unsatisfying. hits dont feel like they have any weight to me, and spells feel inconsequential despite being more grandiose than ever. its just not as good as it was before, and like its a sort of half assed replacement of reaction commands. the way they incorporated style changes into it was okay, but again its not as satisfying as it was in bbs. but maybe it was just satisfying in bbs because the rest of the combat there sucked
tldr, the things i care about in a game (writing and visuals) were fucking spectacular, but the gameplay definitely had room to improve. also if i ever have to fight a darkside again ill throw up and cry! 8/10, though im tempted to raise it to a 9 for the environments alone
I don't know if you are aware of it but EPIC the Musical is about to end. The final saga of the concept album will be released on christmas. It will be about Odysseus's return to Ithaca and while there is a whole song about the killing of the suitors I doubt the killing of the servants will make it in to it.
With that I wanted ask you about your opinions on partially sanitising mythology for modern audiences. To alter certain details to allow them so that they fit better into our morals to allow them to be apprciated by a larger audience in the ways it was probably intended at the time as most people propably won't be willing to or able to learn the moral standarts of the time and judge mythological figures based on that.
Forexample most people today accept and understand that after a war it was normal to take suplies and treasure from the defeated foe but many people can’t look at making the defeated slaves as well even though that was a normal thing to do in greek mythology and ancient greece depending on the time period even though there were tragedies written about it.
Ofcourse leaving out those parts can lead to erasure of certain aspects of certain stories as well. If you don't include the concept of bride prizes you can’t tell the full story of Cassandra forexample. Or leaving put Zeus's assault to make him more morally in the right would impact Io's story
Yes I am aware and of course you know that for my part I am like "fucking finally!" But yeah I am aware and I am preparing myself again for a bunch of things swarming my profile for Christmas hahaha 😆 but yeah I am like "finally it is ending" although somehow I know I won't hear the end of it. But okay I expect we will hear plenty of nice melodies too indeed.
Well that being said I haven't seen any retelling touching the material before (for example even 1968 Odyssey didn't show the killing but did show the way that they were forced to clean the bodies) and when they do it is to somehow make a villain out of the character or make a statement (I believe the book Penelopeia somehow touching the death of the maidens but to show only how poor souls they were) or the mangling of Melanthius (the slave that had his nose and ears chopped off for his betrayal)
I think the answer is terribly simple: modern audiences have been so influenced by the Hollywood ideas of "good guys vs bad guys" that in their mind the heroes of a story would never make an action such as this aka a mass execution or something even if a punishment is redeemed by the time they are making it. Unless the victim of the punishment is depicted somehow as the devil himself then the punishment will not be shown or in cases like Epic for example they need Odysseus "be the monster" to make that thing work 🤔. In their mind only a villain makes things happen or a monster or a man who has lost his moral compass. They do not consider it part of the ancient moral code or justice system in the first place
And thus this is according to me the reason why most of retellings are failing so big time in the first place. Because if one filters these scenes with this kind of perspective of "morality" instead of seeing them as part of history in the first place then they always get the wrong idea. But at the same time people find it hard to relate with the main character that is also associated with the protagonist if they do use such means of justice or punishment so if someone wants to be seen as the hero then they do not use this kind of punishment and if they do then the punished party needs to be seen as someone "who had it coming". So in most people's minds especially with the feministic retellings and all the maidens either did nothing wrong or if they did they are forced (of course the latter could be true as well as I answered to a previous ask a long time ago) and the potential of their own personal choice as possibly presented by Homer is dismissed either as "misogyny" or as something else and therefore in their minds Odysseus punishing them for treason is a concept that doesn't fit to the hero figure they have in their brain. Much less Telemachus who carries off the punishment and he even changes it (Odysseus suggests to kill them by the sword Telemachus decides hanging).
Which I think is wrong in the first place. If people expect things to be cut and clean to "good guys vs bad guys" then no wonder that works of art like Homer become all time classics for thousands of years while the retellings become forgotten eventually. When for example someone pictures Achilles mangling the body of Hector as a punishment because Hector "had it coming" misses totally the point of Achilles performing ultimate hubris against the dead in his anger. When someone says that Achilles is the total villain for doing so because he is crazy villain and Hector was an innocent soul who did nothing wrong they miss the point of Hubris Hector performed when he killed an unarmed Patroclus and bragging about it when Patroclus was stripped off his armor by Apollo. What Homer said was "this is the mistake Hector performed and this is the mistake Achilles performed". Neither side is sanitized and neither side is stripped off their responsibility of the moment. Likewise with Polyphemus incident and Odysseus with which I made an analysis in the past as well, we have Polyphemus who is definitely the force to fight with but also Odysseus performing hubris. There is no doubt that Odysseus is still the hero but the hubris part is not sugar cotted and it is clear it is in the wrong even if his situation can be understood the way Homer presents it (unlike retellings like Epic)
I think the moment someone stops seeing moments like that as the justice system of the time and they make it sound like a monstrous act only a villain would perform the game is lost. On one side yes someone can understand how unfair or even wrong it sounds to have a mass execution but on the other hand is like someone making a movie about a case where multiple people went to jail and either show that the criminals were absolute villains and had it coming or the opposite that the judge is a corrupt villain who laughs maniacally into the night for convicting them.
This is why I wrote my own story of Ismarus as well because this side is left out. I think we need to stop showing these hard moments as a story between villains or heroes and start showing them without sanitizing or villainizing them in the first place otherwise showing them just to show "who is the monster" also does more damage than good
I hope that answers the question.
10 mini reviews of Venom 3: The Last Dance (2024), a movie I did not enjoy
10. I went in with rock-bottom expectations, and brother were they ever dashed.
9. You know how sometimes you walk out of a very mediocre film and think, "Boy that sure was technically a movie"? I don't know if what I watched last night was technically a movie
8. I saw Venom (2018) in theaters with my best friend because something terrible had happened politically that weekend and we wanted the cinematic equivalent of getting very drunk and then housing some Taco Bell (it performed this office admirably), but I never saw Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage (2021). I can state with some confidence this could not possibly have had much effect on the overall legibility of Venom 3: The Last Dance (2024)
7. Do you understand how charmless a movie has to be to make me roll my eyes during both a sing-along and an extended dance sequence?
6. My best friend, upon seeing the credit at the end of the movie that explained that Tom Hardy himself helped write the story, in a tone of deep disappointment and nigh-betrayal: "Oh no, is Tom Hardy dumb???"
5. Had the boom mic been hanging into every shot, it would not have been a sloppier viewing experience
4. Upon learning that it currently has an average user rating of 3.5 stars: gosh it sure was nice of the director of Venom's mom to review the movie so many times
3. Many of the lines felt like placeholders but my friend is convinced the script was not "written" by ChatGPT or the like because those programs are pattern-driven enough to make a certain degree of sense.
2. You'll have to forgive me; I am just a little salty because Venom 3: The Last Dance (2024) had a budget of $120 million dollars and used it to make a buddy comedy where the two parties seem to genuinely dislike each other and a special effects extravaganza that was genuinely ugly, and meanwhile I've written a narrative concept album that is a solid 40 minutes of music with character development and a full plot arc that I could confidently execute for $5000 USD, and I have to come to terms with the fact that I will probably never be able to raise the money for my silly little project. I could make that album 24,000 times with Venom 3 money and it wouldn't even go out of its way to be racist against Mexican people.
1. I honestly think even the monsterfuckers are not going to get anything out of this one, boss
Grumblings About Season 6, Episode 6, Surprise
Larry claiming he had nothing to do with the planes but didn’t stop them due to soreness over Eleanor strikes me as a retcon. Having watched the phone conversation between him and June, it really seemed like he did, in fact, take down those planes to try to force June to give New Bethlem a chance, and her revealing what part she played in Eleanor’s suicide didn’t surprise him but didn’t really have anything to do with what he did; I imagine Larry would have outright said something along the line of, ‘Yeah, and now, I gave you a taste of what you did to me,’ if it had.
I did love June just casually accepting Larry killed Putman (yay) and married Naomi (eh) without any further questions.
On a nitpicky note, Nick answers the phone, and two seconds later, June has told him the whole story. If they weren’t going to have an actual phone scene between the two characters, a better way would have been to have Nick answer, and then, cut to him retrieving the letters.
When Nick was in Jezebels, I was thinking about how his father-in-law might take hearing about it, and then, it turns out someone finds him.
Can’t wait for this particular commander to die.
Janine is awesome with giving monthly female names to try to subtly find out about June.
Interesting flashback between June and Nick. I’ve always maintained, if not for Gilead, June never would have been interested in Nick, and it seems Nick himself has always clocked this.
Lydia is Lydia. She brings cookies to sex slaves as if this is anything.
I’m a little afraid what she’s going to do with the information Larry has been visiting Jezebels.
It’s so nice to see Janine is absolutely done with Lydia’s shit.
Maybe someone has, but it’d be really nice if someone directly said, ‘You sent women to be raped.’ Forced pregnancy and birth is terrible, but Lydia could have, at least, tried advocating for the handmaids to be artificially inseminated. When Esther was raped, like Larry noted, her objection was that it wasn’t done on a certain day, and her solution was to have the handmaids raped at the red centre rather than, at least, floating the idea that PIV sex should completely be taken out of the equation, something medical science is established to have made possible in the show’s universe.
For all I hate Lydia, however, I will note she has undergone character development, even if I’m not impressed with it. In the past, Lydia physically lashing out would not be followed by a genuine apology to the one she hurt. At most, she’d apologise to the commanders or other aunts.
Wharton was actively sinister.
Nick sending June to SJ’s. Really?
I’m not saying it doesn’t make some narrative sense, but I still hate it.
Hate it.
Also, I half-expected for SJ, upon recognising June, to just walk back to her desk all, ‘Nope!’
For once, I think SJ is underreacting. Like I said, I had no problem with her being pushed out of the train, but who in the hell pushes a baby out of a moving train? Or even just a stationary one? If someone wants to push someone holding a baby out of a train, the least they could do is take the baby first.
Right on cue, though, she sets me off with her hypocritical, self-righteous moralising.
Do I feel bad for both Rose and Luke? Yes.
Am I the one who raped both Nick and June in order to force conception, and then, stole the resulting daughter? No.
And she did not pay for anything she did in prison. On another note, I’ve read numerous people saying she was a handmaid in Canada, and no. The Wheelers holding her prisoner and making it clear they’d eventually completely kidnap Noah was wrong, but she wasn’t raped at any point. Noah was the product of a consensual encounter between her and her husband. She wasn’t forced to help execute people or perform the gruelling physical tasks we’ve seen handmaids have to perform.
As much as I don’t care about SJ and Wharton, I did love June’s line asking if Fred was like Fred when SJ and Fred started.
But it’s worth noting, Fred becoming what he did was in part due to SJ herself. Him hurting her wasn’t her fault, but her helping create a society where he was able to freely do so was. Him losing interest in her and their marriage wasn’t necessarily her fault, but again, her helping create a society where their relationship could never be the equitable one it once was is.
Breakfast of awkward. The reversal of SJ serving the once-Martha is briefly cool to see, but please, Rita, get out of this house post-haste.
Her living with SJ even as a supposedly free woman is terrible.
Charlotte Angela is too young to understand anything about chess, Larry. For everything else Naomi is wrong about, she is correct about this.
I’m not sure if I buy what the show is doing with Nick.
One, Nick knows that everything comes back to Hannah with June. It’s not a question of love. Plus, there’s Holly Nichole.
I’ve noted before I’m not sure Nick loves her and that, given SJ raped him and June both to produce her, I don’t blame him if he doesn’t. But he knows how much June loves her.
June doesn’t want Paris. She wants her oldest daughter freed, and she wants to be able to be part of Holly Nichole’s life in the way she was denied to be with Hannah. He’s offering her the second half, but it doesn’t help with the first half.
And keeping shipping completely out of it, Luke has been a father to Holly Nichole. Even if Nick did undeniably love her, circumstances have made it where Luke has been able to be there for her while Nick hasn’t been.
I didn’t even notice this until someone brought this up, but when Luke and June were arguing and he exasperatedly said, “She’s your mother,” to June about Dr Holly, he didn’t say anything about Holly Nichole being her kid.
One thing I did notice and love was, at the train station, he told her to take care of “our” baby.
Because, whether June ends up with Nick, Luke, or neither, Luke is irrevocably Holly Nichole’s family, and I don’t believe June would say, ‘Yeah, I’ll take Holly Nichole and my mother and leave Luke without access to his second daughter. Leave him to fight alone for our first daughter.’
I loved June’s face in the closet, and I knew it wouldn’t, but I was half-expecting for her to physically attack him and them to tumble out all Looney Tunes style.
And finally, I understand Nick was in a difficult situation, and he’s been through a lot recently. I can buy he’s decided he is going to try to be there for his preborn son.
I’m just not sure him telling Wharton about the plan instead of using information he has on someone else is something Nick, even heavily cornered, would do.
Thank you to everyone who read.
a.k.a. Psychic puperty in space
Tumblr media
Pros:
Yeoman Rand having some focus (altho see cons), trying to be nice and inclusive towards charlie, seeking help when she realizes the danger. She's doing her best here (this whole ordeal from her perspective is just very very real for a lot of people...) also her hair!
Kirk's cunty green top; Also Kirk's amazing gym outfit
Spock and McCoy arguing; Generally the trios dynamic
The rec room scene is again everyday life on board
Uhura singing and making fun of Spock
Charlie on the one hand being a human with barely any human interaction to learn from before this and having huge social difficulties and insecurities
ties in with him being a realistic teenager with teenager problems (wants to be liked, starts being interested in romance, doesn't know how to deal with strong emotions, is annoying)
It's got the right idea about "you need to respect women" on the whole (even though the execution is very... 60's)
The concept of someone whos been alone for most of their life with superpowers who's kinda fucked up
also him being an early version of the „sauvant- antisocial- asshole“ character trope we see lots these days
the episode clearly shows that Charlies behaviour is wrong (creepy, dangerous, obnoxious, even horrific)
Charlies situation as a metaphor for growing up in general: either you learn control and how to behave in society or you can't live in said society (although this is a speedrun from first try to exile)
(to be fair none of the adults explained things well and directly to him, and I'm so glad they don't have to raise a teenager together, it'd be a nightmare)
Tumblr media
This picture! Looks like an 80's coming of age - sports - film!
Cons:
Early days inconsistencies (Clothes, rank,character writing flawed)
charlie -- while being genuinely creepy -- is also an annoying wet blanket at times
Robert Walker (charlie) doesn't really have a lot of chemistry with the other actors and can't carry scenes on his own, which makes the wet blanket a bit wetter
the pacing is off, mostly because charlie isn't interesting / charismatic enough to fill this amount of screentime, which makes parts drag
Yeoman Rand doesn't deserve this shit (despite the fact that she behaves corretly she gets treated terribly not only by charlie but the other men, no one takes her seriously, she just suffers and gets no justice)
special callout again of command not taking Rands worries seriously and intervening on time and treating her like shit
Tumblr media
Great Moment: Rec Room, Uhura singing and the crew making a lil fun of each other
Counter: Kirk being topless for the first time! Summary: Lenghty episode about teenager struggles with high stakes that further sets up some of the dynamics of the crew Previous Episode - Next Episode - All TOS Reviews
Don't get me wrong, I think that Chloe was a terribly executed addition to the show + a Mary Sue (you're telling me that she alone is so good, so pure and kind and nice, that it literally knocked the balance between Anti Fairy World and Fairy World out of balance??) however I think that the idea for a character who tries SO hard to be nice that they end up neglecting themselves is a great concept.
💐, 🌼, and 🌻? (I know you’ll like 💐 bc your partners are nerds)
A/N: AUGH Dahlia I'm sooooo sorry this took so long to answer,, I literally had it finished and clicked off of it by mistake and lost. Everything I was writing so I had to do it all over again :'( BUT WE PERSEVERE!! Thank you sooo much for the ask as always,, and the nerd callout lmao
-I'll be answering all of these for my thg dr!!! Full names have been avoided tho bcs. I'm not trying to show up on ppls dashes & get put in a reddit cringe comp yk </3
💐: Do your s/os have a certain interest or hobby that they gush about? How long have they been enraptured by it? Have they tried to get you interested too?
H- There's the obvious poetry, and the eventual looking after geese, but those hobbies are very personal and I don't think I'd want to encroach on them too much. He does read a lot though, when hes sober, brings books to games control and stuff- genre doesn't seem to matter so much but he leans toward histories, biographies, collections of geographical information or short stories. Its always interesting to walk in and see whatever he's picked up on a given day, and I like to ask about them on his better days because hearing him give terrible abridged explanations of serious capitol history or legacy or whatever is pretty funny.
B- Invention is again the obvious, but I think given the workload the Capitol give him and the influence it has on the rebellion, building some new machine for the workforce or coding is much more of a job for him than a hobby. In terms of actual hobbies, he collects a lot of really old stuff. Most of it is unusable or scrap tech parts, but he has a good deal of pre-panem records and complicated machines that he works on repairing in his spare time. I'm hopeless with tech and mechanical stuff, but I think I'd enjoy getting to hear him talk over the phone about some ancient computer element he managed to get his hands on. The process of putting it back together might not make sense to me, but I'm still invested in it.
C- Cooking! He doesn't do it very often because, again, he isn't usually sober, but getting to test recipes and intricate techniques and just sort of. Learn how to make good food without any monetary strings attached is very enjoyable for him. He can't bake so well, but the savory stuff he's made that I've been able to taste has been phenomenal. Of everybody hes also the most encouraging and spontaneous with his bursts of inspiration- most of our calls are ridiculously late at night, spurred on by an outlandish flavor combination he thought of on the spot and now wants my opinion on. I've shared a lot of traditional D10 recipes with him to reportedly good results, and it makes me happy to know he takes my thoughts on it all so seriously.
W-Her biggest hobby really is inventing- I don't think she talks about it as much, not unless somebody asks or shes actively bouncing new ideas off of someone like Bee, but she definitely gets into a zone when shes drawing up some plan or strategy to build a new machine that is very interesting to watch from an outsiders perspective. I think for her it sort of comes naturally, the desire to build things that better peoples lives and then the execution of that idea in the however-many-stages it goes through, and shes always in her element when shes being challenged by what shes building, which is nice to see. It really is like the world melts away when she has a final concept in mind to work towards, and I'm happy it makes her so happy.
🌼: What do you find the most beautiful about your s/os? What about that aspect of them is so beautiful to you? In turn, what do they think the most beautiful thing about you is?
H- The most beautiful thing about him to me is how hopeful he is. It might sound kinda cliche or dumb but the rare moments of genuine hope I've seen from him- they're always there, just buried most of the time- are so beautiful and raw and I really love that about him, how even through his outward cynicism he always carries that internal sweetness. I also think he has a very beautiful way of thinking- miserable, and dark, but I think there's a lot of merit and poetic quality to that. In terms of physical attributes alone though? 100% his hair. Black curls are just really pretty idk what to tell you
B- His hands. I've dedicated posts to them before and I'll do it again,, his hands,, so pretty,,,, whats that one post um. "If a woman tells you you have nice hands it means shes sending her friends the kind of texts serial killers would send. Free her" its that its that. ASIDE from the hands, his most beautiful quality is his intelligence & dedication. I could literally fill notebooks writing about how deeply touched I am by his meticulous care for everything & in fact I probably will.
C- His humor. Are the jokes terrible? Yes. Does anyone really laugh at them? Not really! But me personally I think the self-deprecating humor and big smile and earnest everything-ness that he exudes is sooooo charming so pleasing so wonderful,,, I love a very genuinely awkward but sweet person I really do and he just. Encapsulates that so completely & I think its beautiful. Again, in terms of just physical attributes, I'd say his smile (obv) aaand maybe his height. I usually go for shorter guys but hes much taller than me and theres something doubly charming about someone so tall being so like. Open and awkward !! I think its cute!!!!!!
W- Her eyes. She stares a lot, and some people find that kind of off-putting (cough cough Hay describing her in the new book as 'unnerving',,,) but they're beautiful to me because they're so expressive and clear that it makes them super easy to capture in drawings or describe. I also think her voice is absolutely lovely, even if she doesn't speak so much. Its quiet but so pretty, and listening to her describe a recent invention? Listening to her sing?? I'm charmed I'm enamored I'm down astronomically bad. Then of course there's her intelligence, which just like,,,,, the capacity to understand everything she does, and to do it so effortlessly, is really brilliant to me. Like its incomprehensible but so cool and I love that about her
///
As for what they think of me? I really don't know!!! I think I'm pretty enough, so maybe my face? My sarcasm? My knowledge- not so much in academics or machines, but in medicine and plants? My singing? My loyalty?? Genuinely who's to say. Maybe none of those things!!! I'll have to ask sometime lol
🌻: How do your friends describe you and your s/os relationship? Do you and your s/os share a lot about your relationship or do you keep a lot of it secret?
Though our relationship is very secret (It isn't even legal to be queer, so we can hardly get away with a public 5 person inter-district polycule) my close friends know, or have inferred, that I'm dating other victors by the time we hit our late thirties. Naturally my brother Fleece found out first when he discovered the back section of my music notebook was entirely dedicated to songs about them, which meant his wife found out about 20 minutes later. He probably sees it as sweet, or maybe tragic- but Bovie is much more pessimistic about it. I think she would describe us as irresponsible for letting it get to that point, both because of the danger it poses to us and possible bias against helping our own district. She isn't wrong in fairness, but I can already tell its going to cause some sort of argument in future. As for my other friends- Fleeces bandmates & Celio, whos mother ran the apothecary I worked in before the games, I think they would mind their business to a point, or share Fleeces sentiment about it being nice but tragic. Overall, I don't think they would pay it too much mind unless I actively brought it up- which I probably wouldn't do.
Hi! I hope you had a good day today.
For the ask game, what are your thoughts on 5 and 9 for Sephiroth?
I did, thank you! I hope you had a good day, too!
ON TO THE BURNING QUESTIONS
Tumblr media
5. Sephiroth is such a wonderful layer-cake of pathologies, it's so fun to dissect the impacts on his personality. He is autistic-spectrum, hyper-intelligent, alienated, deeply insecure, and feels he has no 'place in the world'. Despite his insistence, under Jenova's influence, that he's the chosen one and meant to rule the world, he has rock-bottom self-esteem and almost no sense of self. He knows he's different but he has no idea who he is. Add being raised in a lab, horribly abused, and treated like a weapon rather than a person his whole life, and there's not a lot of Sephiroth left.
This would affect his living space in that it'd be generic, impersonal, highly functional, basically empty, serving its purpose as a place to rest, and nothing else. Has place to lie down, has place to shower, has place to dress=meets criteria. I doubt he'd notice if there were even blankets on the bed. It's a Sephiroth storage container, more than a living space. Which is terribly sad and now I am sad. BOOOO ME
Whether he's messy or not is another question. He honestly strikes me as someone who hates disorder if he ever thinks about it. The problem is, he does not think about it. He has executive function issues (see: his bout of manic hyperfocus in the archives, where he had books just strewn everywhere and didn't eat or sleep or bathe for days), and is generally unaware of anything pertaining to his own self-care, including messiness/dirtiness, unless they become a nuisance that disrupts his current fixation.
When he was being raised in the lab, he was a child, so there were people who cleaned, cooked, washed his clothing, etc., and in SOLDIER they definitely had people to take care of those kind of domestic things, so they could focus on training. Hence, he never learned to clean up after himself.
All of this wouldn't matter much, in a living situation with custodial services, but if left to his own devices, his combined lack of awareness, neglect of his own needs, and inexperience with such things would create a perfect storm. He'd forget to take the garbage out, never pick up after himself, not do the dishes, have takeout boxes everywhere, and have no idea that dusting, mopping, vacuuming, etc. even exist as concepts. I think his living space would be kind of awful. But he wouldn't notice.
That is, until Angeal comes over, has seven simultaneous brain aneurysms, leaves and returns with Zack and cleaning supplies, and they spend the next ten hours deep-cleaning the place, while Sephiroth insists it's not that bad.
Tumblr media
9. This accords so nicely with number 5! Because he'd be a terrible roommate.
-He'd be quiet, courteous, and never have parties or eat your food, but he'd leave stupid long silver hairs all over everything (the less said about the bathroom shower drain the better), never clean up after himself, and act confused when asked to do so.
-He is definitely the type to always be forgetting his house key. Like, he may as well not have one.
-He leaves that stupid, ultra-sharp, nine-foot-long sword just LYING AROUND WHEREVER. Someone is going to lose a foot.
-He thinks he's a great cook and likes to share his talent with people, and he's too sweetly sincere and excited about it, so you can't bear to break his heart, and you wind up gritting your teeth and smiling through a plate of sticky, pasty, mushy pasta, with sauce made from frankly baffling ingredients (you put walnuts in the marinara? ohhhh...how…interesting. is this an anchovy?).
-He casually says absolutely horrible, emotionally devastating things, without realizing they're horrible. Example:
person: my mom was so forgetful, she always used to burn the garlic bread and she'd mix up my brother's lunch box and mine half the time
sephiroth: haha yeah, i know what you mean. on several occasions, Hojo forgot to send someone to change my IV, when he left me strapped to an exam table in the basement lab for multiple days, and i nearly died of dehydration and malnutrition
person:
sephiroth: parents, right?
-Lastly, Sephiroth absolutely never wears a shirt and in fact doesn't even own one. This is not an annoying habit, this is the habit that makes all the other ones worth putting up with.
Rockstar!Lucien Headcanons
A/n: thank you to @cursebrkr for coming up with this beautiful concept for Lucien. Please go check out their art it’s amazing! These r totally random and all over the place
Warnings: some nsfw concepts so minors dni (18+ please)
Rockstar Lucien is hot and he knows it. He's tall, muscular, and 100% covered in tattoos
He used to be self conscious about his face scar but then he adopted the “chicks dig scars” mentality and never looked back
that long red hair is just beautiful, he blow drys and styles it for sure!!!! He uses the best shampoo/conditioner so it’s always smooth and silky
He plays the guitar and loves whipping his hair around during his solos
His favorite is an electric guitar but will occasionally play acoustic if you ask him
Definitely has nose a piercing (changes from a stud or hoop depending on his mood) and definitely a tongue piercing too. There's also one that only you and him know about 😉
You guys met at a party after one of his bigger shows. You’re the friend of a daughter of some executive for his record label and you immediately caught his eye. He knew he had to talk to you
When Lucien loves, he loves hard and is very loyal and he just wants the same in return
He’s very cautious about getting close to people because he’s been hurt before and used for his fame. He didn’t want that to happen with you but after talking to you for a few days he knew you weren’t like that
Once he has you, he’s absolutely infatuated with you
On your first date he tries so hard to impress you but it goes terribly. He makes a complete dork of himself and his ‘cool rockstar’ facade slips. You thought it was so cute and endearing, he was surprised he got another date with you
You become Lucien’s muse when writing songs
You go to all the shows you can and even go on tour with him. If it’s a world tour he takes you to all the romantic spots in different countries and always takes you on fun adventures when he’s not busy rehearsing
You never get bored watching him on stage
Lucien makes sure you’re always sitting close to the stage so he can see you while performing. Whenever he sees you he always winks at you and starts dancing very suggestively on stage knowing it turns you on
Lucien is very protective of you
One time he stopped a show when he saw some guy harassing you. He was furious, he almost jumped off the stage but security escorted the guy from the venue before anything else happened
You watched the rest of the show from backstage that night. As soon as he was done Lucien took you straight home. He held you and apologized all night even though you told him over and over that it wasn't his fault
His fans absolutely adore you! If they recognize you at shows they always say hi and some even ask for a picture
You love watching him on stage and going out to parties together but your favorite times with him are when you guys can just relax at home alone
You love lazy days in bed together eating nothing but junk food and watching cartoons
Lucien is a child at heart and will insist you watch 2000s Disney shows (Suite Life of Zack and Cody is his fav)
Lucien has two nice cars and one really beautiful, expensive black motorcycle
When he bought it you weren’t crazy about it at first but when he handed you your own helmet and took you for a ride it changed your mind
You loved when he’d go super fast, it gave you an adrenaline rush
He's not a huge social media person, he only posts if he likes a picture of him from a show or event, or if new music is coming out
He doesn't like the media attention that comes with his job but he sucks it up
Lucien feels bad that you get wrapped up in it since you're a private person as well
He always has ways to bypass the paparazzi when you guys go out, he hates the way they shove cameras in your faces and the stupid questions they ask
He has punched a pap before for almost pushing you into traffic in the city
Some NSFW stuff (18+ from here on!)
Lucien plays guitar so he’s a god with his fingers. He knows exactly what he’s doing down there and can make you cum in seconds
His tongue piercing is also a plus when he goes down on you
It’s one of the metal balls and when he licks your clit the pressure is perfect
His favorite position is when your on top
Lucien loves when you ride him because he can see all of you and after your orgasm hits he pulls you into his chest
His other preferred position is taking you from behind
He loves running his hand down your arched back to squeeze the back of your neck
And he loves how deep he can get from that angle
When he’s in charge sex is usually rough and passionate. Love making is set aside for special occasions though, like if you haven’t seen each other in a long time
He’s always down to try anything unless it’s a no for you, he’d never want to make you uncomfortable
One of his band mates did walk in on you guys once in his dressing room and he never lived it down
have you done a Grarrl review yet?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Grarrl is a t-rex, and...well, that's pretty much it. It has all of the standard t-rex features: sharp teeth, reptilian eyes, and small arms. They're fine, but it doesn't feel like there's a whole lot with the base color that really makes them stand out outside of just having a lot of teeth compared to other Neopets (Poogle and Jetsam not withstanding).
I feel like part of the issue is that the Grarrl's body is completely solid in color by default, with no patterns or markings to break it up. Given their prehistoric status, I feel like stripes or speckles would've made sense; just something to break up the body and give them a tad more flavor. As is, all we have are the teeth and the green eyes with red pupils (which tend to be consistent across most, but not all, colors).
Beyond that, the base colors are alright, though for some reason the blue barely has any shading and the yellow is this off-putting dirty "mustard" color.
Tumblr media
While the Grarrl's design has always been plain, I do think customization did them extremely dirty. Instead of being allowed to keep a more vicious expression, the Grarrl was instead saddled with an awkward smile that makes them look like they're posing for school picture day. In contrast, the old Grarrl's art gives them a big open mouth and allows them an angrier expression, which both looks much more natural and gives them a lot more personality.
Favorite Colors:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maraquan: One of the only Grarrl pets that wasn't saddled with an awkward smile post-conversion, the Maraquan Grarrl is one of the best-looking Grarrls out there. Making a t-rex into a shark for the aquatic color works perfectly as a concept, and the execution's really nice; adding a very neat-looking ridged back fin and horizontal tail that sharks don't usually have, and fixing the plainness of the default Grarrl design by adding in a mottled white underbelly with small teal accents.
Neither version is terrible, though the UC/styled design is the better one—the fins aren't being forced into a fist, the colors aren't as over-saturated, and the tail fin shape looks a lot better (it's supposed to have a hook-like shape, not have a random spike coming off of it).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Halloween: Not only is a vampire a good choice for something with sharp teeth, but I really like the colors here; a very light minty body is contrasted with black and red accents, which makes it look both pale but also provides nice contrast without being too monotone. The cape also adds just the right amount of detail without being overly busy or detailed. The expression and mouth on the converted version, while still not as good as the old art, does look a bit more endearing and less awkward than usual, and I really wish they had used that mouth shape for the default Grarrl.
As of writing, there's only a "spooky" style instead of an actual nostaligic style that matches the old art, but reguardless it does look very nice. I like the pose and expression a lot, it brings back the black clasp (which was made blue for some reason during conversion), and I like the addition of the claws on the feet. Only complaint is that I wish they had given it darker eye bags, which were present both on the original art and the converted art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Faerie: The faerie Grarrl having feathers is interesting, because feathered wings are usually restricted to avian Neopets; but then again dinosaurs are birds, so this is actually pretty clever. The orange, pink, and yellow palette looks nice, and I really like the speckled markings here and the addition of horns and dragon-like whiskers.
Unsurprisingly the UC/styled art is better, though I will say the converted has slightly better wings; I can't quite figure out the perspective on the original art. That said, the original art's head shade and expression look 10x better so you know, pick your poison.
Yanqing was my first and I love him to pieces but the lack of Welt Yang is starting to grate at me. One away from having full express crew... good luck and godspeed with your Hot Men pursuit, some of them are insufferable.
As someone who hateeees Liyue I expected to hate Xianzhou, but to my surprise I actually love the setup. It helps that their history is very relevant and actually comes up in the main quest, like - ages ago, they did a Masterful Fuckup, and their whole society now revolves around dealing with the fallout. It was nice, after Liyue's vageposting history and beliefs in market economy, where their gods are hilariously irrelevant to their daily life, to be able to say "ah, *this* is what these people believe and fight for". Helps that the aeons are npcs and as such Allowed to be fucked up, so both sides in the abundance vs the hunt fight have their points. And I find the subversion on wuxia tropes neat.
I share the "I wish I could skip this" sentiment though, the main quest was absolutely horrible.
I also find who Dan Feng was as a person and Dan Heng's feelings abt him as his reincarnation super interesting but like. So far the vidyadhara have by far the weakest story out of the xianzhou races (jiaoqiu HARD CARRIED the foxians there) and I know better than to expect anything. Finest Duel Under The Pristine Blue was a pleasant surprise, but Luminary Wardance was tedious as all hell and rife with missed opportunities (as much as I loved Yanqing throwing hands lol)
Out of all the minor quests you've triggered, have you done any of them? I think you'll like Arlan and Asta's companion quest :)
I haven't done any companion quests because I expect them to be longer, and tbh I am not planning to pay any attention. I do not care about the... vast majority of the characters, and I particularly feel like it's going to be a whole lot of minutia about their daily lives and/or irrelevant backstory. Which I don't really care to engage with.
On a basic level, I think that once you relegate things to "companion quest," that means this content is not important or interesting enough to be main story. It's a little bonus for people who care about these characters because they like them from the main story or like their designs. Since I don't care about the space station at all, I don't plan to read anything from these quests. Just like Genshin, I will set it to auto and do something else.
This sounds very mean, but Mihoyo destroyed any basic goodwill from me long, long ago.
In regard to Liyue and Luofu, I personally have a lot of... let's say reservation about anything that focuses on immortal or long lived characters. Once you make a character stick around for hundreds of years AND you love your lore, it's not a good combination. It gets convoluted fast, and you have to spend a lot of time very carefully maneuvering around why this character didn't deal with all the problems of modern day back in the past already. The easy answer is they couldn't, but if you want these characters to also be so totally cool for sure, it doesn't work out well. (Like wardance. Jing Yuan totally knew about Belobog's issues in the past but like, he was just too busy to do anything, but have a picture of him totally getting along with Igor.)
Additionally, I do not believe Mihoyo writers are capable of writing any kind of actual complexity in morals or viewpoints between characters.
And for every character that has a grain of interesting concept, they are surrounded by at least a dozen terribly executed ideas, so like... that's just not worth it.
i have my askbox closed rn bc of the scam spam so @petralemaitre sent me this meme directly:
Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers! Spread the self-love 💞
i have 62 to choose from but honestly i already know what my favorite 2 things i've ever written are so this will be fairly quick.
A quite unlosable game (dark angel, alec/max, alec/various): this is it! this is the favorite! it's my most beloved show of all time and i had Things to Say and it took me ten years (off and on) but i did say them! very well! i started it in 2008 so my memories are vague but i wrote it pretty much in order--the first idea i had was the almost-pubescent X5s being lectured on how their hormones were going to be manipulated. it was a science fiction story for me, before anything else, because it's a science fiction show that didn't get a chance to explore SO much of the juiciest most interesting concepts it put forth. and it was also me thinking about how the show at first fumbled, then did SO right by the eye-rollable "max goes into heat" concept. like when it comes up in the second episode it's treated completely as a joke, but when it happens again at the end of the first season--when we've bought in to the basic premise and established trust--it's treated as the terrible, sad violation that it is. so i thought, well, how could i pursue that thread further? and. so. yeah. love this story forever, best thing i ever wrote, does exactly what i wanted it to do and does it almost perfectly.
The absolute absurdity of end-series items (house of leaves): my other favorite thing i've ever written! i don't think this is quite as perfectly executed, but it's pretty close, and certainly no one else has done it better so that makes it successful by default. house of leaves is one of my favorite books of all time and i have SO many thoughts about it and all the things that it DOES. some of which the culture at large has acknowledged and much of which i've never seen anyone else talk about, the latter specifically being how rich and welcoming it is to feminist interpretations. which i could never manage to write the essay about that i wanted to, but it's all just in this fic instead.
children's work (the witcher, geraskefer): gonna cheat and put the whole series. it's kind of hard for me to love this one because i can see ALL the seams, especially in the second and third stories where i was trying so many new things as a writer and flailing around so much. but taken as a whole it's the longest single work i've ever created, and the response to it utterly blew me away. people loved this series, so so so much, it's been four years and i kind of still can't process it. this is the story that i think about when i feel like i've never had any kind of effect on the world and nothing i've ever done mattered to anyone. because this series made a lot of people very happy, and that's nice. (also i LOVE when i can come into a fandom and write something that nobody's done before. it boosts my ego like crazy. not that the concept of the fic itself is original--i lifted a LOT of the emotional beats from an extremely good SPN fic i read way back in the day--but no one had done a serious take on it in witcher fandom yet.)
felt it in my fists (teen wolf, allison/lydia): i was Deep into this show for like half of one summer, but i hated (and continue to hate) sterek so there was not a lot on offer for me. but there was femslash! idk, i just really like this story and it's special to me for reasons i can't really identify.
put on the red light (deadpool & wolverine): i don't necessarily like this MORE than my other fics in the fandom but i do feel like it's different and therefore special. it's very rare for me to write explicit high-key emotional conflict and fighting, bc it tends to give me bad anxiety, but MAN i loved writing the big screaming fight in this one. they both fully believe they're breaking up because the other one betrayed them in the most painful way imaginable, and it's awful, and i love it.
im not gonna send the meme to anyone else but if you are reading this please consider yourself tagged!
tua s4 spoilers. I thought I'd focus on some stuff I actually liked this season...
The acting was great, no one can deny that. The parts that were choppy was because of the script and not the actors themselves.
Episode one wasn't that bad. The premise was set up nicely and I liked where the characters ended up six years later, more or less.
I liked Gene and Jean. I wish they were a little more unhinged, but their character introduction was good.
Ben's weird ass tentacles.
Luther trying so hard to keep the fam together.
The entire town turning on them was fun. And the van driving in with Baby Shark playing was very funny.
Abigail was interesting. She was kinda creepy, being all motherly to the Brellies. And Abigail speaking through Gene was hilarious.
The Keepers were also interesting. I was hooked from the very first therapy session. It could definitely be more expanded on, but they served their purpose in the narrative
Viktor getting to yell at Reginald was 10/10. If there was only one reason for this season to be made, it's this scene
The Subways as a concept was fascinating. When Five walked in their first I was in awe.
The Deli the Five's gathered in was freaking awesome too. I wish it got more focus.
Diego and Luther's scenes together were great as always.
Klaus casually levitating. Finally lol
Lila and Allison getting stoned in the car was such a small part but so funny.
The moment they realise they don't know how Ben died + them finding out it was Reginald was great. Them speaking in unison was creepy and I loved it.
Viktor doing everything he could for Ben.
Lila stepping out of the train just as the door closed. I knew she would but it was still emotional.
Controversial, but the ending itself where they all die could've been a really good ending, and was by itself not that bad. Within the context of s4 it wasn't good because ... of the wierd drama taking up space that should've been dedicated to the siblings saying goodbye (eg, Five having a scene where he holds onto Viktor, the sibling he first reached out to back in s1), but if it was executed better it would've been a pretty cool ending.
I think we're alone now
"I love you guys ... but you were all assholes"
Yeah and ... that's it.
I'm going back to hating this season now, it was pretty terrible. At the very least I'll have s1-3 my beloveds. I'm never touching this season again except for fanfics.
