You made the post about Trevor being possibly traded. There was one multi sport gossip website that said he was traded but nothing ever came out about it. And then too the ducks took him out of the jersey reveal video for their party.

i get trade alerts from multiple twitter accounts and I haven’t got one in a day or two about trade talks about Trev. I keep waiting to see it happen. I personally feel it’s inevitable at this point.

honestly i think the ducks and rags have already come to an agreement and it’s like this:

whenever the rags trade trouba off for “cap space.” the ducks will then trade zegras off to the rags. what do the ducks get idk idc they have baby ducky and trev will be closer to all his boyfriends & family.

Kyle Dubas walked/was fired as Leafs GM, how likely do you think it is for AM34 to sign again? I think he might be gone tbh with all the uncertainty - especially if they give Keefe the boot as well, what do you think? if he goes do they still trade Marner/Nylander?

The recent news about his wrist surgery (which is yet another to Auston's collection) might have a crucial influence over the decision, however, I still believe, Marner is the most likely player to be heading elsewhere as a trade for a competent defenseman or goalie - it is significantly easier to replace a winger than the center, and if it really is the case and Marner will be on his way out of Toronto, it will be done in a month or so time, cause since July (I believe), the clause of immovability begins in his contract, just like it does now in Tavares'.

Nylander, even though it might seem easy to get rid of him, once again in an intriguing trade, and save yourself from having to pay him big bucks in the contract renewal (which he will definitely insist on), has the upper hand over Marner in a way that he can somewhat deliver and push the team even during the playoffs so if they are going to get rid of only one member of the core four (not including Tavares, cause he ain't going anywhere thanks to his contract clause), it is going to be Marner.

Maple Leafs (just like Oilers) are hoping that the core (in Edmonton's case McDavid and Draisaitl) will remain the same and they will tape it together with decent, not mind-blowing but considerably capable, rest, which they acquire for cheap money - unfortunately for them, it hasn't exactly been working cause you can never rely only on the superstar core carrying the team everywhere on their backs the whole season.

We will see, I am curious how the new general manager will handle the issue.

course ya can! my honest answer, and like i say this lightly, but it's that i don't care. i love lewis seb george and mick and am not bothered with pretty much anything outside of their goings-on. lewis is clearly going to extend with merc, i take his word on that. georgie's on contract. mick isn't, but whether or not he gets a ride is out of my control and meanwhile at least he's on a team that's trying to help him make it happen and is treating him well. seb's retired but shockingly didn't disappear into the woods forevermore never to return, which is the best i could have hoped for. the rest is just noise. if any of it's stressing you out, tho, just try to remember that a lot of silly season rumors are just teams and drivers playing what amounts to office politics and mind games. the teams wanna pay less, the drivers wanna be paid more. both camps are gonna put out nonsense trying to influence the terms of any deals that are made and, no matter what source it comes from, by the time any news reaches fans it's impossible to know what's true until the contracts are signed, so it's not worth stressing about 🤍

Yeah, it's gonna be another 1D break-up heartbreak if it turns out to be the case. I honestly can't imagine Mitch anywhere else and especially without Matthews - they are one of those inseparable Seguin-Benn, Marchand-Bergeron, Crosby-Malkin, McDavid-Draisaitl duos, which you simply are too used to seeing playing together.
