okay just for sabers fans everywhere because I have to defend my beautiful wife Jared Bednar: He knew it wasn't goalie interference. He made that challenge, and is probably getting fined for it, to stick up for his players. He says in his post game interview he knew that it wasn't goalie interference, but he thought the play should have been blown dead the moment a player was hurt on the ice and he "wanted to give the refs the chance to do the right thing". You can think the play shouldn't have been blown dead, I'm of the opinion it should have been because I'm an avs fan lmao player safety should always be prioritized and goalies have gotten hurt worse with the addition of shots from plays identical to that in the past. But that wasn't Bednar ignoring the fact our guy knocked the Sabers' guy into Wedgy, it was a coach trying to look out for and stick up for his players
