Oh, I really like your headcannons!!!! I would like to ask how do you think the members of the brotherhood (especially Gandalf) would react to the fact that the reader has wings and is also going on a journey (this was inspired by the valkyries, so I imagine how she would fight with these wings)

The fellowship x winged!reader

Aragorn:

-A huge weight is lifted from him knowing someone like you is on their side

-I also totally think he would be prone to motion sickness

-So if you ever have to fly him over a large gap or something he will need to sit down for a little

-“I’m never doing that again”

-He will help you preen your wings after battle to get the blood and dirt out of places you can’t reach

Legolas:

-He has absolutely heard about legends about your people

-He is so honored to get to meet you

-Watching you fight is so fascinating

-Will just take a moment to watch before almost getting beheaded in his distraction

-Calls you “birdie” in elvish

Gimli:

-You do literally anything with your wings and he is like “YEEESSSSS!”

-He’s such a cheerleader

-We also know he loves the powerful girl bosses

-So you are a top tier in his opinion

-I imagine that a winged being wouldn’t like being underground so he tries to keep you distracted with stories while in Moria

-My first thought was that Boromir would be like Thor when he met the Valkyrie

-He’s such a fangirl

-Ngl, after seeing you fight he’s a little timid

-I mean everyone else saw that right? You just decapitated that orc with your wing

-So badly wants to show you to his brother who would be awed

-He doesn’t know much about your people but he’s adamant to learn everything

-He is so thankful you will be helping him on this journey

-When he gets exhausted from lack of sleep because of the ring you carry him on your back and he can hold onto your wings

-Thinks you must be an angel when he first sees you

-He’s a little intimidated

-Ok, maybe a lot intimidated

-But that’s only because he thinks you must be one of the most beautiful creatures to walk middle earth

-He is concerned what you will eat if what was caught for dinner was a bird

-Would it be weird if you ate chicken? It feels unethical

-Actually probably gives a stern talking to whoever caught the bird because what if it was upsetting for you

-Take this hobbit for a flight

-He will be so excited

-He would absentmindedly pet your wings (if you were ok with it)

-Maybe just give him a feather to play with

-He also makes so many bird jokes

Pippin:

-He doesn’t want you to think he is disrespectful

-So he doesn’t ask

-But he really wants to pet your wings

-They just look so soft and silky

-Until they are dirty from battle; but would help you pick twigs and dirt out of them

-He probably knew you before the council, and probably is the one who invited you

-You have been friends for a while

-He is vague but smug when someone asks about you

“Eyy, finally I decided to finish my little apology to our boys. Continuation of the “Friend”. This time it’s Diluc and Kaeya! (N-No I’m not lazy to make separate post for them... that’s not it...). Also my wrist is kinda weird lately so to give it a small practice but not overshoot it I wrote these~”

Words: 453 Genre: fluff, gn!reader

Diluc is a loner. He might tolerate or handle people around him. After all, it would be weird if he couldn't. Considering he is working at his tavern and there are many different patrons every day. And also probably meets with various people simply due to being the Winery owner. 

But whenever he is done with his socialization he will hide from the public. Let out a tired sigh and be himself for a while. Just being Diluc, a young gentleman with a soft spot for his companion. He adores and cherishes those moments. Silently spending a few minutes just with the hawk which sometimes seeks him in the middle of the day. 

At first you didn't understand why Diluc wears a thick coat and gloves. After seeing the bird land on his arm. All you could do is say 'ah' in realization. 

Once Diluc is done with bonding with his hawk he will let it fly away. Observe how it flies high to the sky. Then going to you and spend time together. You got used to it by now and you don't really mind. In fact you are happy for Diluc. As when you can't be there for him, to let his mind rest from his daily life. The bird will do.

Diluc admits it's not the same as embracing you and nuzzling into your neck. But it's sufficient enough until you are done with your things and return back to the Winery.

Sometimes when the hawk seeks Diluc in the middle of the day and you are present. Not only you are able to witness the love between the owner and his pet. But you are encouraged to pet the hawk. At first you were scared it will actually hurt you. But Diluc assured you nothing bad will happen. 

The hawk was avoiding you at first, balancing at Diluc's arm. It was shy to somebody else's touch. Just like its owner, huh?

At some point it lets you touch it's head. Gently pat it, to your surprise it nuzzled into your hand to give it more pats. You giggled and looked at Diluc who smiled. Why the whole time you were thinking the hawk is literally a smaller version of Diluc. Hesitant at first, shy and avoiding and then melting into your touch.

Maybe if you give it enough time it will sometimes seek you too. Better start carrying thick clothes. You wouldn't want to get hurt by its talons which is kind of unavoidable. Just think of it, talking to somebody and suddenly hearing the hawk. Extending your hand and it will land, require a bit of attention and then fly away. Surely your conversing buddy will be shocked!

Once again I got inspired a bit. But I guess with Diluc it’s obvious what kind of pet he would have. Either his hawk or another turtle like when he was a kid (does this make Kaeya also had the turtle as his pet? or was the turtle before Kaeya was adopted? hmm) 👀 ngl I also had turtles when I was kid. They are so cute 💗

Unlike the other two (Diluc and Xiao) he doesn't really “own” a pet. Nor something seeks his presence. He says he is too busy with his work for the Knights and adoring you. But as you know him, he is probably hiding something.

However when you find out about his occasional feeding sessions of wild foxes at borders with Dragonspine. He has hardly any words for explanation. He is embarrassed as he promised to himself to not really lie to his partner. Unless it's some harmless prank or secret party. He loves you too much for it. 

Sure, he keeps many things for himself. To keep you safe. But he also shares a lot of minor secrets with you. Like how else would you know about secret meeting spots for Treasure Hoarders. Being able to break their illegal plans or know some gossip about certain local merchant who is avoiding taxes. All thanks to your Kaeya.

But now you have caught him in the middle of feeding. The foxes ran away even before you appeared from behind the bushes. He knew about your presence but he had no words to explain. This was the reason why he sometimes came home late. Always giving you an apologetic look. You thought he might be cheating on you. Well cheating with bunch of wild foxes.

You are not sure if it was a mistake or not following him here. As you were extremely curious why would he want to meet up with somebody outside of the city. Well in the end you find out your man is just a big liar and softie. You're gonna act as if you are upset, pressuring him to the corner and feel sorry. He could have told you he was feeding secretly wild animals and you would be fine. Instead of making you worried over nothing. 

At that moment Kaeya realizes his innocent lie actually wasn't so innocent. Next time he will have to think twice before saying or doing anything. But truth to be told he felt a little embarrassed for admitting his fox feeding. He knows he can't have one as a pet, otherwise he would take one home. Spoil it with love just like he does with you.

You can be sure he will try his best to make up for his mistake. Buying you your favorite snack or something else you'd like. Maybe later on if you insist he will share his secret how he became friends with the foxes. Feeding them together, observe from a healthy distance how the berries and meat are slowly disappearing into their tiny tummies. 

Admit it. You like foxes especially now when you can feed them with your beloved. But he better doesn't cause some misunderstanding like this ever again. Would be silly to get into a fight just because he can't admit his soft spot for wild animals.

I swear finding a pic of Kaeya with some animal was an art itself. From the beginning I was thinking of either a wild wolf (sounds more like Razor being adopted by him but whatever) or a wild fox. I’m so happy somebody actually drew it! I love it~ but I also found so many pics which I’m not sure if search was trolling me. “Kaeya with pet” google search: did you mean Kaeya with cat ears? or Diluc? or both of them?! Now I’m craving for some cat boy Kae or Lulu but idk what to do with it, so yeah.

Your gaze was fixated on the paper in front of you, stroking soft lines with your pencil. You’d gotten a bit inspired while just sitting around the saloon. Caleb wasn’t around at the moment, you figured he was either out in trial or in his workshop; so you found yourself sketching pictures of his horse, Jesse.

At least thats the name you gave him, Caleb told you he didn’t really have a name in their past life but did like the name Jesse for him. Jesse seemed to like it too, always nuzzling your arm when you would greet him coming back to Glenvale after trial. He would stand near the entrance and wait for you to come back from time to time. You saw him more like a big puppy dog than a horse at times.

You watched him stand peacefully outside the saloon, drinking out of the water trough and nibbling at some apples you would find him ever so often. You continued to work at your paper, focusing in on the smaller details in his face when you heard him whinny outside. You glanced back over to see what got his attention, only to see Caleb returning home. He wore his usual duster coat and carried his rifle, so you assumed he just returned from trial. He gave Jesse a pat before taking a step into the saloon. He didn’t realize you were there until you greeted him. He turned his head to the table you were sitting at and smiled.

“Hiya, darlin’, didn’t see ya there” he said, laying his gun down by the edge of the bar table. He walked over toward you and gave you a kiss to your temple before looking down at your drawing.

He stared at it for a moment, taking in all the details then smiled. “I’m sure the ol’ boy will appreciate your work” he joked.

You giggled, “Yeah, just figured I’d pass the time, nothing else really to do”.

Caleb looked at you for a moment then out to Jesse. He then grabbed your hand and motioned for you to follow.

“Let’s go for a little ride, you and me”.

Your eyes lit up, eagerly standing from your spot and following behind him.

You couldn’t remember the last time Caleb took you for a ride on Jesse. It had been a long time since the two of you had really just had one on one bonding time, with him being so busy with his duties and you catering to your trials as well.

Caleb whistled for Jesse to come, petting his nose before quickly throwing a bridle on him and handing the reins to you to hold him, while he put his saddle on. Jesse looked at you with big brown eyes as you spoke kind words to him. He was a gorgeous animal, a red roan is what Caleb said he was if you remembered correct. And he was always so patient with the people he trusted, meaning only you and Caleb. You smiled to yourself remembering how Caleb would joke about Jesse beginning to like you even more than he did Caleb.

Caleb tightened the strap on the saddle one more time to ensure it was fitted in place then turned to you.

“You wanna lead him this time?” he asked.

You were surprised, “Can I?” you asked, much like a child.

Caleb chuckled, motioning for you to get on. You took his hand as he helped you hoist yourself up on the large animal, scooting closer to the front end. Caleb threw the reins over Jesse’s head and to you before throwing a leg over and sitting down behind you. You held the reins in your hands the way Caleb had taught you before, low and loose. Shoulders relaxed and back straight.

“Thats a girl, go and give ‘em a kick” he said. You gently bumped your heels at Jesse’s sides, asking him to move forward. He began walking down the dirt path around the town. You were practically beaming in excitement, you’d never done anything like this before. Caleb wrapped an arm loosely around your waist, watching you work with Jesse. He adored how well you and Jesse got along, he often made the joke that Jesse knew you were the one before he did.

At first, you did some rounds around the saloon just to get the hang of things then Caleb pointed over towards the exit of Glenvale.

“I found a little spot not far from here the other day, I wanna show ya”.

You nodded and sent Jesse in that direction. The dusty, dirt trail turned to dark soil as you entered the ominous forest that you found yourself walking through each time you returned to Glenvale from the campfire. Caleb directed you to the entrance of a secluded cave that sat not far from where you came. You pulled Jesse to a stop and Caleb hopped off to tie his reins to a nearby tree. He offered out his hand to help you off and guided you into the dark cave. You were lying if you didn’t say it made you uneasy. You gently gripped Caleb’s hand, staying very close as you walked through the tunnel. He chuckled looking down at you.

“Ain’t nothin’ to be ‘fraid of, doll. I been through here a few times, ain’t nothin’ roaming around” he assured you. You trusted him.

Soon enough a dull light could be seen at the end of the tunnel.

“There it is” he said, pointing towards the light. He led you up the opening where the light was coming from to reveal a hidden crystal oasis. The walls of the rock cave were covered in sprouting, glowing crystals, shining together to make the light you’d seen. And in the middle, lay a pond of clear water, seemingly untouched. It was a gorgeous sight of scenery.

“Saw that light peeking the other day and came across this beauty. I figured you’d like it”.

He knew you well, you loved ‘hidden treasures’ like this. You peered down at the water, glistening in perfection. It had been forever since you had been swimming. You remembered the hot summer nights back on Earth when you would go swimming with your friends, some of the best memories you had in your past life.

You neared the waters edge and began to strip yourself of your shirt and pants, until you were in just your undergarments.

Caleb watched you with a smirk. You rolled your eyes at him before beckoning him to come with you.

He shook his head.

“Nah, you do your thing, darlin’. I’m fine just watching”.

You huffed, but went ahead and stepped into the water. It was smooth and cooling on your skin as you sunk in deeper. At its deepest, you could keep your head above the water on your tip toes. Otherwise you were completely engulfed in this relaxing atmosphere. It was perfect, too perfect not to share.

You turned to Caleb again, who was rested on the rocks above, hand rested on his chin, watching you contently.

You beckoned for him again.

“Come on, it feels nice”

you said. Caleb shook his head again with a smile.

You neared the edge of the pond and looked up at him with puppy dog eyes.

“Please” you begged.

Caleb chuckled before giving in. He stood and removed his clothes down to just his boxers. He neared the waters edge before undoing his leg brace. He figured he’d be alright without it just this once, considering you were practically weightless underwater. He shuddered as he sunk in, not being used to this feeling since he was a kid.

But he had to admit, it did feel really nice.

You smiled as you swam toward him.

“See, what did I tell you?” you gloated. Caleb chuckled before pulling you into his arms. You wrapped your legs around his waist as he held you. Tall as he was, he could stand at the deepest with the water just washing over his shoulders.

For a while, you both really didn’t say anything. You just took in and basked in each others presence. You rested your head in the dip of his shoulder, mindlessly running your fingers through his damp hair. Caleb would run his hand up and down your back, while laying soft kisses on your shoulder and neck.

You missed this, your alone time with him. Its what made this hellish world worth surviving for. For a while, you would often think to yourself ‘what am I fighting so hard to live for if I’m just gonna be sucked back into another trial’. You eventually answered your own question when you fell in love with someone traditionally assigned to be your enemy. You never understood what drove you to Caleb, but you didn’t care to remember now. All you knew was that he loved you and you loved him.

In those mindless times when you would lay in his arms at night and he would lull you to sleep with the sweet words he whispered to you. How you were his everything, how you tamed the anger that burned like a furnace in his bones, you were his sun, stars and moon. He would protect to his last breath because you are everything worth fighting for.

You could almost cry sometimes because you could feel the genuine nature coming from his voice. He made you feel safe, even in a world were everything was out to kill you. He was your home. And you were his, no matter where you were.

The shine of the crystals glistened on his skin, compelling you to gently touch the shininess. Tracing patterns on his skin where the lights fell. You felt Caleb shift slightly as he waded over to a shallower part of the pond, sitting you on the ledge, giving you a slight height advantage over him for once. You giggled placing your hands over his shoulders.

“So this is what it feels like” you teased. He rolled his eyes before letting you press your lips to his. His hands fell on the sides of your thighs, pulling you slightly to him. His body was always so warm and inviting. You broke from your kiss to his star dazed eyes.

He swore you were the only person that could do that to him, make him all soft and starry eyed just from a kiss. You pulled the wet strands of hair out from dangling in his face, taking in his features. You could swear you could see faint remains of freckles in his cheeks and across his nose. Probably more prominent in his youth and faded with age. You gave gentle pecks where you saw the remains, making him smile and softly scrunch his face.

“You’re cute, ya know that?” you said.

Caleb made a face.

“Thats more your genre, darlin” he defended.

You simply shook your head and kissed him again.

“You’re cute to me”

He laughed,

“Whatever you say”.

His eyes wandered across your glistening body. You were the most gorgeous sight he’d laid eyes on. He appreciated and adored every piece of you. Every scar, blemish, and imperfection you despised on yourself, only gave him another reason to love you. It made you unique, it made you: You. And that’s something he wouldn’t change for the world.

You caught him staring.

“What?” you questioned. He softly shrugged. “Just admiring what a piece of beauty ya’ are”.

Your cheeks tinted pink, playfully slapping his shoulder “Oh stop”.

“I mean it, darin” he said “I ain’t gonna lie to ya when I say, ain’t no woman I ever met or seen that ever made me feel like I do about you”.

Your eyes softened.

“I know I don’t say it enough, but I love ya’. More than anybody ever could. And I’m thankful that you care about me the way you do,” he paused for a moment to look up at your eyes.

“You make me feel whole again, like I’m human.. Ain’t nobody ever made me feel like that”.

You could feel your emotions welling up inside. You cupped his cheek before wrapping your arms around him. You held him firmly, wanting to make him feel safe and loved. You loved this man more than words could say. You knew he was a broken soul, most everyone here was. But with everyday you were with him, you did your best to love the missing pieces of soul back into him. To show him the kindness and respect he never got before. And each day, he fell more and more in love with you for it.

You whispered a soft ‘I love you’ to him, he didn’t reply, he only held you longer.

What seemed like hours had past, before Caleb took notice of the growing darkness outside the cave, turning back to you.

“We should probably head back”.

You frowned, throwing your arms back around him.

“But I like our bonding time” you whined.

Caleb pulled you back into his arms again, giving you soft kisses to your face.

“We still got the rest of the night. Ain’t nobody coming ‘round. Hows bout we go back, and pour us both a drink, yeah?”

he suggested. He was right, nobody was gonna come around and this spot wasn’t going anywhere. You nodded, letting him place you back on the ledge to dry off. He joined you after.

Once most of the water had run off you both, you got dressed and went back to find Jesse where you left him. You admitted you were a little tired, so you opted to let Caleb lead this time. You jumped on the back of Jesse, curling close behind Caleb. Wrapping your arms around his mid section as you rode back. His free hand rubbed the knuckles of your hands wrapped around him. She had two mothers until she was around 16. After they passed, family wise she was alone for a very long time. Now, the Ryes treat her as family and, at some point, Savannah would be her wife. She’s close with Kim and she’d never let anything happen to Carmina. She’s fast friends with Nick when they get him back-- she’s always glad to see a good man who has no issue being soft or saying “i love you”

She went to school up until shortly before the bombs fell, and her mothers did their best to teach what they could in the bunker.

The first 12 or so years were in Scotland. She was pretty healthy and well balanced. She enjoyed music, knew some instruments and got voice lessons. She was pretty athletic too, planning to do something military-centric when she was old enough. She and her mothers moved to the west coast of the states when she was twelve. It was maybe a year before the bombs fell.

30. What was adolescence like?

The first couple years were in the “bunker”, which was barely more than a multi-roomed basement shared between her and her mothers-- their neighbor, who’d offered them the shelter, didn’t make it in. He hadn’t been home when the bombs fell. The food ran out maybe two years in and she got to spend a year with her parents above ground before they were killed. The rest of her adolescence was spent mostly alone, living in a small shelter in the woods. She rarely had contact with people, only ever to trade. Once or twice she’d lead people out of the woods. It wasn’t until she was nineteen or so that she joined Rush.

31. What’s their current main conflict?

Loooooooooooots of self-hatred. Sure, there’s the whole highwaymen deal, but her hatred of herself makes it hard for her to make friends because she honestly doesn’t believe she deserves to have them.

32. What steps have they taken to overcome this conflict?

She doesn’t, really, until after that whole deal with Joseph and the apple and the bear. She of the mind it was just a drug trip, but it did make her think about who she is. Made her afraid she really had become something monstrous. After a breakdown and some help from Savannah, she actively tries to be a better, warmer person.

33. How have they changed over time?

Her trying to change helps her a lot. She goes from being pretty quiet, pretty grumpy, and antisocial, to being a happier, more open, but still pretty quiet woman. She teaches Carmina some songs on the guitar and plays more often for the people in Prosperity.

34. What’s their room look like right now?

I mean idk how the rooming situation is in Prosperity, but if she’s able to have a room that’s more private, she probably shares it with Savannah, after a point. Might have some plants and her guitar leaning in the corner. If it’s a shared room situation, she probably sticks to the bare minimum as to not take up too much space. Maybe a trunk under the bed with her clothes and a couple trinkets.

Her mothers dying for sure! She went from being a hopeful young woman to almost spiteful. Killing the men who killed her parents was what sealed the deal.

I expected to have her be very heavily military, but I ended up with a woman who only really wants to be a wife and just love the woman she marries with all of her heart and she wants to raise a kid and just have a good and happy family.

Just…how freaking awesome she is. She’s a lot of fun to RP and damn is she strong in combat. Her angsty backstory is amazing too, if I do say so myself

Lyris is athletic as she’s fit and healthy and you have to be strong to use a longbow…but she’s a total dork in other aspects, like romantically

ngl i didn’t know this ship existed and after reading some fanfiction I gotta say it’s actually pretty dang cute :0 //as a bonus i included some other la squadra shenanigans

- Serious as hell. They don’t even seem like an actual couple to most because of how much they just act like actual comrades. Everyone in La Squadra di Esecuzione is confused as to whether or not the two are actually dating. They’re all to scared to ask in fear of angering Risotto, and knowing Prosciutto he’d just dodge the question. One day Pesci works up the courage and asks his brother if the two are a couple. Prosciutto just replies with a simple “Yes.” “Oh I knew the rumors couldn’t- wait wHAT-”

- Whenever anyone tries giving them a hard time about being a couple they give little to no reaction. Risotto is prone to shooting the occasional death glare at Formaggio for joking about it a little too casually.  Prosciutto is more lax about the squadra bringing up their relationship, he doesn’t mind chatting about their dates or what they did last weekend. He’ll occasionally ask how to become a better partner for Risotto, since he legitimately cares bout this man. How can one expect to be a good romantic partner if they’re not always looking to improve their relationship? However, he’s completely given up on asking Melone on how to be a better boyfriend. There is no help for him here.

- Risotto actually took awhile to realize he had actual feelings for Prosciutto that weren’t ones of “I’m gonna stab this man in the throat.” He kept quiet about it for quite some time, and nobody, not even Risotto himself caught onto the fact that he had begun developing a giant crush on him. Prosciutto was quick to realize this, but said nothing out of fear of A.) their cruel inevitable deaths in the mafia and B.) their cruel and inevitable rejection. Prosciutto was the one to actually confront Risotto about his feelings, telling him he felt strange whenever the two were close. Prosciutto confessed his feelings shortly after nd asked him if he wanted to try a date to a local cafe, Risotto’s response being “Oh thank God, I thought I was just crazy.”

- Risotto and Prosciutto aren’t the type for overly flashy outings. Risotto likes to take walks at night and go stargazing and Prosciutto prefers lunch dates. Though neither are too keen on staying out in public too long, lest someone from an opposing gang recognizes them and wants to pick a fight. So, they won’t stay out for too long. Prosciutto is a little more confident in staying out, since their stand abilities could easily neutralize a non-stand user. Not to mention, the two are an amazing fighting team. They fight well together, even if their stands arent 100% compatible.

- Prosciutto is always giving Risotto little encouraging words throughout the day. “Couldn’t figure it out? Damn. Well, I’m sure you’ll get it sometime soon. No, I’m positive you will.” Risotto is confused as to why he keeps telling him these “inspiring words” and Prosciutto always replies it’s because he loves him. He wouldn’t mindlessly compliment just anyone, he has total faith in him. After all, it was his determination that got him to fall in love in the first place.

-Risotto is dying™ please save him he want to know what he did to deserve this boy. They’re the awkward boob window bros™ and they love each other very much.(seriously the 80′s called they want their goofy funk dancers clothes back)

- They will not hesitate to kill if one of them is injured by another person. Prosciutto comes home banged up badly by another gang? Say no more the next day the group is found sliced up and surrounded by razors. Risotto got hurt and can barely walk? The rival gang member who did that is suddenly never heard from again, the only thing left is a pile of dust. They weren’t on the hitman branch of passione for nothing, you know.

- In an au where they don’t die, they would end up living together and get some pets. Likely a couple canaries named Giallo and Sole. Risottos not very good at coming up with names but Prosciutto lets it slide as long as he can keep his cat Gnocchi, who to Prosciutto resembles a little dough-ball, hence the name. Risotto asks why he named his cat after bread, and that he had no room to call him out on his bird names.

- Couple spats are obviously a thing with these two. They may get along well due to their similar nature and tactics, but occasionally the other says one little thing that may set the other off. These don’t last long though, as the other would consider what they said for tactical purposes and asses the situation. Typically its for purposes of their gang, but they would fight over dumb stuff. Like whether or not Risotto did the dishes to Prosciutto’s insane standards, or who’s turn it is to vacuum. Stupid little spats that last no more than 5 minutes. However neither can get upset at each other for being reckless. Even though they’re a couple, it’s mission first and foremost. The boss is more important than their own lives and their relationship, no matter how much they may care about each other.
