If you're in the fight with him providing long range support, he'd try to keep up with your arrows. He's a lil competitive what can I say?

Will stop for a brief sec to admire your shot if you do a great one and it's safe enough. You might even get a "heh nice" if he's feeling chatty.

I feel like Keith would ask to see your bow and your arrows to look at the craftmanship - he's pretty big on weapons, especially knives, so if you've got a cool bow (you definitely do) he'd ask to hold it and look at the carvings.

Big fan of watching you train... so he can learn... of course... definitely not oogling... no idea what you're talking about.

BONUS: Lance definitely makes fun of him for staring at you while you're training.

Established Relationship

Fighting with him is great, he is usually slightly ahead of you and super fast but you've trained with him enough to know where to shoot without hitting him. You both keep tallies of how many enemies you got and compare while you're travelling back. One with the least does the dishes.

If you land a particularly impressive shot, you'd hear "great shot babe!" through the comms (and groaning from Lance).

Trusts you with his life ngl would let you shoot an apple off his head. Has offered multiple times which is uh a lil worrying (he likes adrenaline a teeny bit too much)

Will tell Krolia about your archery skills and basically brag to her about how good you are. She'd definitely say "if you're that good then you can shoot this off my head" (Like mother; like son)

At the Space Mall, he'd not actively be looking but he'd definitely keep an eye out for anything archery themed there that he can get you. Whether that's new string for your bow, new gloves or a really nice new quiver (in red and black ofc so everyone knows you're his).

Watches you train and will give you pointers. He tries to train with you to improve his long-range defences with his sword and shield but sometimes (most of the time) the training will end with you both making out.

Oh hey yeah I appreciate the appreciation. Idk if "confident" is the right word. Still feeling it out, it's new n all. I honestly don't remember if I wrote this in my last post on the subject but I never made a formal announcement about it cause I don't really wanna draw eyes to it. I spent a lot of time wanting to do-so but not, because I do have some anxiety around unkind people acting as though I'm doing it for attention. So I spent some time going "well hey yeah if I don't ever mention it and just make it a thing in my head, then I can prove to myself that it's not just that." And that went on for a long time. And accomplished nothing other than delaying life. And- it turns out, maybe people should be able to just live freely without worrying about the judgement of some strangers. Soooo, I'm really glad that a little tweak to my profile can bring about so much joy. It means a lot.

MCL NewGen Ep 9 Commentary

I poured blood, sweat, tears, and money to finish this episode. I fought my inner demons to convince myself that they didn't deserved my money but here we are: with a concluded episode and me with 30 euros less in my bank account 🥲 As always, this post will obviously contain spoilers under the cut so beware~

Ngl after the disaster of episode 8 I had zero (0) hopes for this new one, I wasn’t even excited after everything that happened last month (e-girl pack, episode 8, Halloween event and so on) but I have to admit, this one surprisingly exceeded my low expectations by a landslide by finally giving some insight on the LIs about time i might say.

But first thing first, the cost. This episode was hella expensive, I spent 2604 aps, of which 1832 were free. I'm following Jason's route so I know it's more expensive than the others but I didn't imagine this much. I genuinely hope the others will be shorter and that this was just an exception given the backstories cause I can't handle every ep being like this 😩

As a Jason's girlie, I was ecstatic about this episode. For once, his presence was well-contextualized, he didn’t come off like a stalker and we weren’t the damsel in distress. I didn’t expect him to start trauma-dumping on Candy so soon, considering they don’t see each other as often compared to the other LIs, but I’m glad we got to know him better. I really hope Candy’s attitude toward him will start to soften 'cause she’s always on guard around him and it’d be nice to see her relax and trust him a little more, especially after the intimate moment they experienced in this ep.

I must admit tho the premise didn't really appeal to me and I was skeptical this would be another silly ep with all the Devenementiel crew doing stuff but luckily it wasn't. It all starts with Devon telling us that, starting the next day, a group of interns will be joining the team and it turns out these are Devon’s younger brothers, Gebril and Joen.

Overall I liked the time spent with them. I agree that there were a lot of unnecessary moments and some parts I could’ve gladly skipped but it was a cute scenario, and finally we get to meet some new characters for a change also idk but Joen's attitude kinda reminds me of Armin oh I miss himm

Since we're here let’s already get to the sore spot of this whole ep: the whole Tasha situation. I don’t care if it’s wrong to have beef with my fictional sister, but I’m honestly speechless at how she and their mom acted during the internship situation. You knew for months that you needed to pick a company for your internship and yet, the night before, you have no plans because you delayed the application?? And now you’re asking me to call up my boss at 8 pm to beg him to include you in the internship that’s supposed to start tomorrow? Are you out of your mind?!?

Also isn’t the whole traineeship supposed to be organized by the school? I’m not sure how it works in France, but I was quite confused—here in Italy the school usually guides you through the process and handles all the paperwork. It’s unusual for students to be left on their own in a situation like this...

And the mom is even worse cause she just says "I don’t want to judge you for how you’re acting with her because if I were in your shoes I wouldn’t know what to do either" like uhmm you’re the mother, not me?? If you knew about this the whole time –and she knew for months– why didn’t she help Tasha earlier? Or better yet, why didn’t Tasha ask us weeks ago instead of the evening before? And yet they’re just chilling while playing cards omg you have no idea how much this stressed me out it's so stupid but yet so infuriating like the fact that they only have a bathroom in a mega villa but whatever i guess.

After we refuse to help her, Tasha mysteriously ends up joining Goldreamz for her internship. I’m honestly confused, once again, about how this happened because the night before no company had accepted her and now suddenly she's got the job?? Did Jason see her candidacy last minute right before clocking out the office? If I missed something pls let me know cause I genuinely can't wrap my head around it lol.

What a way to twist things...

But anyway, I honestly liked this option. I admit I would have never imagined this plot for his route but I’m glad they went this way. I loved seeing Candy’s reaction when Tasha told her about working with "the devil" and I also enjoyed her reactions to the ambiguous conversation between Candy and Jason in his office watch Tasha being the first to get the hints about their situationship lol

Maybe it's for the better, we don't want to let our lil sis know we blew up big time our first solo project.

Once Tasha leaves, Candy asks Jason wtf he’s doing and he assures her that he doesn’t have any ulterior motives. He just thought it would be an amusing situation for both him and Candy. After a quick recap, we get a better understanding of Candy and Tasha's relationship. It seems like there’s a bit of a rivalry/competition between the sisters—something I would have never guessed, considering we've only seen Tasha about three times since the beginning but okay. I only wish to see more of their sisterhood but I guess we won't any sooner since she's going to her father for a while, that sucks.

After some usual bantering, we find out that Jason envies our relationship with Tasha since he’s an only child, which leads him to open up a bit about his past. We learn that he found comfort in solitude, often isolating himself by going out on his father's boat in the middle of the ocean. I admit this was unexpected, I never would’ve guessed he’d be so into the marine world - as we'll see soon in the rowboat scene. It adds a surprisingly nice contrast to his otherwise business-like persona.

Touched by Jason’s childhood story, Candy spontaneously suggests they take a boat ride right then and there, to experience the peace and solitude he felt throughout his childhood. This was a cute gesture from Candy ngl, I thought she would simply nod and listen to his story but no. This is the first time she takes such an important first step with him in their relationship and I'm proud of her.

But, once arrived tho she has to ruin everything destroying the cute little moment...

Oh my God. You strangely enough managed to get him to open up about his difficult childhood and you still can’t help but joke about him being the big bad guy? Ugh I take back whatever I said about you Candy, you're dumb.

Thankfully, Jason doesn’t seem that much bothered by her comment and they get on the rowboat. I was lowkey hoping for a cute moment where he offers her his hand to help her aboard but nope, doesn’t happen. Honestly I’m convinced this is his subtle payback for that insensitive joke, if so props to you J.

Anyway, he starts rowing and soon we find ourselves in the middle of the lake. This is where the heart of the episode unfolds imo. We finally get a glimpse into his family history. Jason opens up about his father, a scientist deeply passionate about the ocean, that tragically passed away shortly before he turned 19.

This is the moment where I truly lost it. I swear, I was a sobbing mess.

Jason’s vulnerability hit me harder than I expected. We already knew about his father, but hearing him tell the whole story was tough. I can barely imagine what he went through at such a pivotal age. The emotional distance between him and his mother after she got remarried definitely played a big role and when you add his strained relationship with his stepfather into the mix, it’s impossible not to feel for him. It's such a tragic backstory, I hope they don’t mess it up from here on out. My pookie deserves better :(

As for the special scene, it wasn't that much but I liked it. Unfortunately, I can't post the screenshots since I’ve hit the limit per post sigh but it was such a sweet and heartwarming moment. It offered a smooth transition from the heaviness of the conversation to their usual playful banter and I really appreciated how it slowly lightened up the mood without taking away from the emotional depth of his story. I have to admit, I wasn’t really a fan of the illustration. The setting and moment were adorable - it totally gave me Rapunzel vibes with all the whimsy and charm - but Jason’s expression feels off, it’s almost like he’s a villain plotting revenge rather than being swept up in the moment lol. Plus his proportions seem a little strange mmh. Candy, on the other hand, looks gorgeous so gg.

And that’s it. Afterwards, Jason accompanies Candy back to her house, reminding her that despite the little walk down memory lane, things haven’t changed between them in his eyes, and he expects the same from her. Oh, and let’s not forget she owes him an intimate story too as if the whole Ioan drama wasn’t enough.

With that, he leaves and the episode ends with Candy having her same old crisis whenever she spends a little time with Jason.

Now, I’m really curious to see if Jason opening up will actually shift things between them or if it’ll stay the same old. At this point, Candy doesn’t have much of an excuse to keep trash-talking him - he hasn’t done anything to harm her or Devenementiel, yet, and he’s actually been there to help her on multiple occasions. I’m hoping she drops the whole “he’s the devil” mindset because he’s honestly shown more support than hostility in the latest eps.

But honestly I can't hide that rn I'm more worried about the next episode. Thomas having an incident was on everyone’s bingo card -even though I didn’t expect it to happen this early- but here we are. I’ve got so much repressed trauma from everything with Lysander that I genuinely have no idea what to expect next 🫠

Under the Bridge flying under the radar because Hulu just had Shogun is so unfortunate. Not that Shogun doesn’t deserve all the attention and appreciation it’s getting. (It’s literally is the best thing on TV since the earlier seasons of Game of Thrones). However a smaller show with smaller budget is so easy to get sidelined come award season. Especially considering how both of them are limited series and will be competing in the same categories.

But yeah hats off to the performance of every single actor. Even though at times I felt like Roy, Scott, Manjit, and Kelly come off like caricatures, they reign it back in pretty quick. My favorite performances so far have been the portrayals of Suman, Raj, and Warren. Their performances feel so grounded and seasoned. And such great work by the teens who did Jo, Dusty, and Reena too. It’s so refreshing to watch actual kids play kids.

And what can I say about Lily and Riley that hasn’t been said already. I genuinely believe they’re two of our finest actors in the show business right now. The way they light up the screen is so magical to watch. And it doesn’t even feel like the directors have to do anything special when they’re performing. They’re both just really good and steal every scene they’re in. So lucky that we get to witness their greatness together.

I'm gonna be honest here, I haven't watch Shogun yet (it's on my watchlist tho) but I've kept up with the Emmy talk and from what I've gathered, a lot of people have decided that when it comes to limited series, Shogun is the clear winner as best series and RDJ might win for best performance (and I get it the guy just won an Oscar). Many don't think that shows like Under The Bridge and We Were The Lucky Ones (Hulu's most recent limited series) are gonna get nominated, but that Lily Gladstone will get nominated for an Emmy. That's all just speculation, of course. But I can see where they're coming from. It's also kinda funny that the two Hulu shows that are being a little sidelined deal with kinda similar themes but who am I to judge?

Obviously, this is also a kind of "side-effect" from the strikes. The shows could've been released with more space between them (UTB seems like the perfect fall/winter show, doesn't it?) But many productions were stopped or delayed during the strikes and now everyone has a bunch of shows ready to go and an Emmy deadline getting nearer and nearer everyday. Maybe if Hulu wasn't trying to get all their Emmy qualifying shows out before May 31st, the show would have gotten a bigger chance to truly shine. But hey, both the show and Lily already got nominated for a Gotham Award, so there's hope for the Emmys, at least.

I know I've praised the show a lot (and it totally deserves it) but the show is, of course, not perfect. No show ever is. Take the latest episode for example, the character arcs and storyline were great, and the acting was absolutely amazing but there were too many cuts and some of them were kind of awkward and a little... brutal. Some of the acting is a little cringe at times, which might be intentional in the actor's case (it might be with Kelly, she has to come off a certain way, so I don't blame Izzy G for some of her acting choices) or it might be that some of the actors have difficulty saying the lines and acting the way is necessary for their characters. It might be the writing or the directing, while an actor can make or break a scene, so can the writing and directing choices. And some of the lines and angles are a little bit awkward, ngl. But all in all, the show is great and it truly deserves more attention but I know that this kind of show is not everyone's cup of tea and I'm glad it has so far only attracted the people who have a true interest in it.

Lily and Riley are absolutely amazing, both separate and together. I'm slowly turning into their fan, I truly want to see more of their work... but later, of course. Right now they're Cam and Becca for me and I like it that way. I realize that was a long rant and I'm sorry but I truly have a lot of things to say about this show.

"Are you ready to depart, your majesty?" The captain of the royal guard stands at the ready; her hand reflexively rests at her sword despite the current maintained state of peace in Zenith. Though her current on guard state is a bit exacerbated by the traveling conditions, a small group of two being the only ones protecting both Askr's and Nifl's kings.

"I apologize for the earlier delays. Allow me the opportunity to check on one last detail," Alfonse smiles at his knight's demeanor, her vigilant nature always putting him at ease. A couple of years having passed by since the Order of Heroes disbanded, Alfonse had been officially crowned the rightful ruler of Askr. The two years kind to him, Alfonse had even grown a couple of inches, his frame broadening as well. With that, came a bit of pudge, the long days of managing the kingdom's affairs gifting him with the onset of a belly and an even more impressive set of wide hips and a doughy rear. Alfonse is currently on such an affair, traveling with Hrid who is now his husband.

The two of them traveling light, they had made the decision to only bring along one carriage. A rather large carriage however, Alfonse only needed one experienced driver to keep the two draft horses necessary to pull such large and heavy cargo. Getting the necessary size had been a rather rushed issue. The carriage far from the usual intricate designs, Alfonse's carriage is as close to the bare minimum that allows for sufficient cover and shelter. A large tarp is draped over the frame of it, the carriage even lacking a fully closed frame. The transportation seems absurdly ridiculous from its size, the wagon more akin to the lush, spacious foyers back in Askr castle from its sheer size alone. The vehicle seems like a moving fortress from its size.

Alfonse pulls at the flap of tarp on the end of the carriage. He sees that the massive chest is already loaded.

"We seem to be ready to depart," Alfonse offers his thanks and gratitude to both his knight and the drivers before heading into the carriage. Alfonse takes careful steps upon stepping inside with how crowded the carriage is.

The cargo practically takes up the entire width of the carriage and even most of its length, the huge pile sprawled out far and wide.

Said pile smiles upon seeing Alfonse enter, glad to see his husband.

Hrid doesn't even need to ask if they're heading back to Askr, he can feel his blubbery rolls begin to lightly jostle as the horses start the journey back home. "Sorry for making us late," Hrid doesn't make eye contact, instead he looks down at his bountiful chest, the overstuffed chest resembling the most plush, cushiony couch from how wide and high they spread.

"No, it was me who insisted on staying," Alfonse pats Hrid's stomach. His hand sinks into the mound of fat even just by gently touching Hrid's belly. His husband's stomach is massive enough to where Alfonse could simply rest underneath it to be covered entirely, so big that it could cover a dozen of him at once even.

The two having just stayed at Embla for formalities of drafting trade agreements, Bruno couldn't simply send the two kings off empty-handed or with empty stomachs. Breakfast offered to them, an originally planned departure at 9am was promptly delayed by thirty minutes. And then another. And then an hour and even more after that. Nearly impossible to fill up Hrid's massive gut, it was just as impossible for Alfonse to tire from feeding him. The spread of breakfast large enough to feed a large group, the two’s attendants had only eaten a modicum of food, just enough to comfortably sate them for the trip. Alfonse had eaten a bit extra, his hunger slightly increased due to being around so much food now with Hrid. But Hrid had eaten the entirety of the remaining food; enough food left for to feed at minimum ten people with their own large appetites but Hrid’s black hole for a gut meant the delicious breakfast had gone all to him. With such an insatiable appetite and Alfonse’s eagerness to feed his flabby husband, even more breakfast was initially asked for. Until the two had been politely stopped by their royal guard, the only one sensible enough to keep to a schedule and brave enough to speak her mind.

And so, with the aid of some helpful yet intensive magic to get Hrid moving — the sight of seeing an immobile blob of a already something be in awe of but seeing such a massive man move had been quite the spectacle for all those not used to such a thing, so much rolls of flab bulging and jiggling intensely from the warp magic — Hrid and Alfonse are back on their way to Askr. The distance between Askr and Embla is rather short, only a couple hours even while riding a carriage that is forced to go at a sluggish pace from hauling a couple thousand plus pounds of a king. The distance is thankfully cut shorter from Alfonse and Hrid having their own route. The path had become a necessity for transporting Hrid around; with such a wide, massive wagon needed to haul him around, the sheer width of the vehicle is bigger than regular roads.

Alfonse drapes himself against Hrid. Though he more so lies on top of Hrid. The available space is practically taken up by Hrid and Hrid alone. Hrid’s folds where his thighs and belly meet are the most accessible place to sit on, Alfonse sinks into the countless rolls and folds of Hrid’s blubber. Like the rest of his body, Hrid’s thighs are nothing more than accessories, Hrid having not moved them in such a long time. Not that he could even if he wanted to; even the strongest magic can’t take away the fact that Hrid being as fat as a room means he has far too much lard sloshing against each other to willingly move a limb even an inch. Hrid’s girthy thighs alone can crush a mattress, each. The blubbery thighs are like a river of flab, the trickles of lard flowing as he wobbles from the moving carriage. His legs slightly thin out the more down you look at his legs, but even his calves are wider than people’s entire waistlines. Hrid’s legs spread out wide enough to now even touch both sides of the carriage; his titanic girth comes close to being even too big for something specifically tailored to withstand his mass. His feet are barely visible, smothered in so much fat just like his knees; his knees are bloated from the thousands of pounds on his figure, the joint hard to discern on his body. The issue is made more difficult from Hrid’s billowing gut. The far most impressive feature on his body, such an accomplishment is one worth praising when each spectacularly obese part of Hrid’s body is a marvel of gluttony and wanton hedonism. His enormous gut is wide enough to be its own table, bed, couch, or just about anything with so much surface area. The flabby mass of lard is divided into several rolls of flab. The folds and crevices line the titanic gut that rests on his thighs, his belly resembling an oozing stack of pancakes. It juts out a couple dozen feet in front of him; it similarly spreads out a few dozen feet to the side. His banquet table for a stomach spreads out on top of nearly all of Hrid’s thighs. His gut sags down between the bits of his thighs that aren’t smushed together. The only reason his thighs have any space between them is due to his enormous stomach needing room to spread. His flab divots in between his legs, a notable ‘U’ shape from the sides of his gut resting on his, raised up from so much flab on them, thighs while the center droops down to touch the floor.

Alfonse nestled in between so many warm rolls of his husband’s obese mammontine body, he can slowly feel the morning’s heavy breakfast take its toll on him, a yawn escaping his lips as he lies on what must be the softest water bed in all of Zenith.

“A-alfonse?” Hrid’s face is positively red. One or two beads of sweat are dotted on his face, Hrid somehow seemingly exerted.

Before Alfonse can respond, his entire body trembles, forcefully shaken out of his drowsy state.

Hrid can only whimper as his entire body jiggles. His stomach growls, demanding more food. The shattering sound goes on for some time, his gut refusing to go without food for any longer. The carriage creaks and shakes, the sturdy wood trembling from the force alone of Hrid’s starving gut that craves only to eat. A few more beads of sweat mar Hrid’s porcine visage, Hrid somehow tiring himself out just from being hungry.

The carriage having come to a stop from the tremor, the flap is forcibly opened.

“Forgive the intrusion! Are you-”

“Yes, we are both unharmed. Thank you,” Shaken and jostled around from Hrid’s gurgling gut, Alfonse had gotten a faceful of Hrid’s obese figure — not something he will ever complain about but for someone to see he’d rather that be forgotten.

“Understood!” Alfonse’s and Hrid’s guard leaves before Alfonse can even properly get his bearings and pull himself up.

Alfonse's lips are pursed, his face red as well. Unable to do much about that, he decides to let it go. Instead, he focuses on his clearly starving husband.

Said husband mirrors and exemplifies Alfonse’s own embarrassment. Hrid is a blushing mess, his entire pudgy face is scalding red. “Forgive me, I…” Hrid trails off. If he could move his pillows for arms, he’d surely cover his face. “I’m just so hungry,”

Alfonse’s own embarrassment washes away, replacing itself with affection. “You have nothing to apologize for,” Carefully maneuvering around Hrid’s enormity, he grabs the lone other thing in the carriage. The chest in his hands, he slowly lifts it closer. Shifting his spot as well, Alfonse climbs Hrid’s tonnage, Hrid so fat that it lifts him up from the ground to make him even larger. Eventually, Alfonse gets into a decent position of half sitting on Hrid’s chest and half leaning against Hrid’s lard.

Alfonse gets a good look at Hrid's chest from using just a single breast as his seat. Each great tit is larger than a person from their sheer size alone. The two massive moobs are splayed to the side as they sag down the hill of his gut. His wide, puffy areolas seem extra hefty with all the fat crammed into Hrid's body. Though Alfonse can only see the outline of them through Hrid's "shirt"; the top is only the bare minimum of fabric, the article of clothing more akin to a tarp draped over his upper body. It was mostly given to allow Hrid to have a semblance of decency, the blob of a king embarrassed over his size. Even with the piece of fabric being big enough to cover the entire floor of a room, the tarp isn't even wide enough to cover his ample chest by leaving a quarter of each breast exposed. It also isn't long enough to go much further past his chest. At the very least, the fabric has a design etched onto it, the symbol of Nifl smack dab in the center. Hrid's measly, far too ridiculously small shirt better fits him as a bib. Hrid's arms a nice backrest for Alfonse, Hrid's arms are as equally useless as his thighs. Having the largest biceps in all of Askr, Hrid's massive arms are nothing but pure lard. The humongously wide arms rest atop his body, Hrid unable to move them, much less lift them. His obese hand is even engorged from fat as well, his large fatty palm swallowed by his fat, Hrid unable to even move his fingers with so much lard encasing each digit. His arms at the near apex of Hrid's mound of a body, his rear juts out from behind Hrid. Hrid's back is a landscape of nothing but rolls of flab, so many countless folds to pinch and squeeze. Two large cushiony buttocks ooze out behind Hrid, his flabby rear grazing one end of the carriage while his gut grazes the other side. His ass is a shapeless pile of flab that splays out to take up as much space as it can, just like the rest of Hrid's figure. His ass does at least rise high into the air at the least. His plentiful ass is covered up like his chest, a tarp for shorts draped over his cushiony rear. Unbeknownst to Hrid, the fabric also has a design. This one the symbol of Askr, the idea had been Alfonse's, as if showing off Hrid as his.

Alfonse caresses Hrid's cheek, the blubbery jowl taking up the entirety of Alfonse's palm and even then some.

Hrid stares back at him with half lidded eyes, taking deep whiny breaths from his hunger. A blush still dusts his face, Hrid always getting embarrassed during feeding time. Embarrassment that always went away while eating, Hrid unable to help himself; the act of eating oh so enjoyable, especially with how Alfonse hugs and caresses him. Hrid's face is slightly sunken in, dozens of neck folds along with dozens of chins surrounding his face. His face so rotund and being at the very top of a room sized blob of a body makes recognizing the figure for, anyone unfamiliar, as Hrid impossible if not for the usual mop of purple-gray hair with blue tips — hair that is a bit more grown out and messy from so much upkeep spent on just filling his gut. Hrid's face grows brighter as Alfonse takes his time rubbing Hrid. His hunger begins to build up. Hrid senses slight grumbles building up again in his gut. "Feed me, please,"

"Of course," Alfonse opens up the chest. What would be an abundance of well preserved pastries for anyone that isn't Hrid are stuffed inside. "This will help tide you over for now. When we reach the castle, I'll make sure you can properly eat all that you want," Alfonse pulls at random, unwrapping each treat before cramming it in Hrid's mouth.

Hrid's only response is to moan. It's all he can do, devouring each pastry the instant Alfonse brings it to his lips. Enjoying food so much, Hrid closes his eyes, allowing Alfonse to feed him. Hrid already begins thinking about his current meal, the immobile blob ready to eat as much as wants and get bigger, his husband eager to support him.

I am absolutely feral for House Rules, I already know it's one of those fics that I'll be coming back to over and over again...and not even just because it's hot (it is *so* hot, Price cock warming? Lord have mercy!) but because it's also so sweet, too! I love how well they all just mesh with each other like perfectly fitting puzzle pieces. Of course, thank you for the ask. And apologies for the delayed response. School and work have been consuming a lot of my time, so I haven’t had too much time to write down my thoughts/answer your question (at least not in a way that I felt satisfied with).

After racking my brain, here are my favorite ships/couples:

Kazurei (Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa from Buddy Daddies)

Kanera (Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla from Star Wars Rebels)

Fierrochase (Alex Fierro and Magnus Chase from Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series)

Twiyor or Loiyor (Twilight/Loid Forger and Yor Forger from Spy x Family)

Pricefield (Chloe Price and Max Caulfield from Life is Strange)

Wrightworth (or Narumitsu) (Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth from the Ace Attorney series)

Kazurei

The way I view Kazurei as a ship changes from day to day, and I think that's pretty amazing. There are several moments while watching Buddy Daddies that I was screaming in my head that they are so in love with each other and just kiss already. But at the same time, I really enjoyed how their relationship can also be interpreted as QPR or two people who deeply care for one another as friends.

At least currently, I don't really feel strongly one way or another (i.e. I won't say one interpretation is right/wrong). What I love about Kazurei though, that I feel Buddy Daddies does explicitly show, is that the bond Kazuki and Rei share goes deeper than just friends or just workmates (case in point, they raised Miri for 10+ years together). They truly care for each other's well being and that the other is looked after, whether or not that has romantic underlinings.

I get so happy seeing them together and when they do their usual antics. While I would have been over the moon with a kiss or wedding bands or literally any canon confirmation of them as a couple, I still love this ship and its ambiguity over how they would personally define their relationship.

(Also ngl I have not felt this strongly for a ship in quite a long time. And yes, the picture I chose for Kazurei is very intentional)

Kanera

I think from the moment the introductory short "The Machine in the Ghost" premiered, I've shipped these two. I can't remember when exactly, but at some point either during the first season of Star Wars Rebels or between the finale of S1 and start of S2, I read A New Dawn and began shipping them even harder.

I think the nurturing attitude both characters have and the "mother/father" roles they took on for the rest of the Ghost crew really helped me fall in love with this ship. I did not think Kanera would actually become canon, even though there were so many moments that hinted towards their relationship. So I was absolutely screaming for joy when the first kiss happened in S4. While I'm sad that on-screen dynamic was only shortly explored, I do love how each was able to grow individually over the course of the show, without it being tied to their partner or them as a couple. Because each character was able to be well-developed and have their pasts explored, I also think I was drawn to this ship since there both characters are complex, carry their own baggage, and support each other without being reduced to simply "the lovers."

And while I absolutely wanted them to have their "happily ever after" as they ride into the sunset, I am so glad that Hera now has Jacen, who will always be there to remind her of Kanan's love for her.

Fierrochase

It's been several years since I've read the Magnus Chase series (I'm long overdue for a reread), but I'm gonna do my best to remember my first impressions of Fierrochase. Perhaps it is because I was younger, but I remember really liking the banter and interactions between Magnus and Alex. It took me a moment to realize that I was totally shipping them together.

Their kiss in Ship of the Dead (book #3) was so tender and it made me so happy to see this ship become canon. Also, the ending for that book was so sweet. And while I would love to see more adventures with Magnus and this group of characters, I love how there is an openness in their stories and the development of their relationship.

I am a big fan of Percabeth, but I wanted to include Fierrochase because this ship deserves more love and attention. Likewise, since there is less canon events of Magnus and Alex as a couple, I feel I love them even more due to the amount of potential where their relationship can go. (One final thought-I think the chaotic nature of both Magnus and Alex is another reason why I love this ship so much)

Twiyor

Reflecting on why I love Twiyor, I can't really recall the reason why I started shipping them together. But as soon as my friend introduced me to this manga/anime, I was shipping them. Since I knew my friend read the manga, which was further along than the anime, I remember after watching the first few episodes, I asked them if Twiyor had become canon yet/any identity reveals. While I am dying for the day that they hopefully reveal their true feelings for each other (if that day comes), I have been enjoying the development of Loid and Yor growing more confident and comfortable in their roles as chichi and haha to Anya.

Like many other characters in the SxF universe, Twilight/Loid and Yor both carry their own losses and share the experience of having their childhoods stripped from them. I think the fact that they have found each other and (I feel at least) can truly understand each other's double lives or the reasons for their true occupations, this is the main reason why I love and ship Twiyor.

While there have been more Twiyor moments since I've first joined this fandom, which has just made me fall even more in love with them, I still don't completely know why I ship them together as hard as I do. But, I absolutely adore Loid and Yor and would love for both of them to know that the other is there for them (as well as hopefully accepting of them too).

Pricefield

Max and Chloe have been through a lot together, and not just in terms of the events of Life is Strange. While both Max and Chloe have their own guilt or regrets for how their friendship previously ended when Max had to abruptly leave Arcadia Bay, the fact that they are more or less there for each other during the 5 days that make up Life is Strange, and all the craziness that happens each day, makes me want to root for them to be together and happy with each other's company.

Literally, these two have been through so much together, and survived, that I can't help but feel it is their destiny to be together (forever). While player's choice can lead to different endings/outcomes, the fact that one ending canonically confirms they are still together, traveling across the country made me so happy. Not just to know they are alive and doing well, but that they have yet to leave each other's side. Similar to many of the other ships and couples on this list, I love this ship because they stand by each other's side through everything the universe throws at them. And now that they are relatively free from past events, they are allowed to explore and spend all the time they want together, making up for all the years and missed memories.

Wrightworth

Somehow I came across Wrightworth before actually watching/playing Ace Attorney. Since I was not familiar with the context of this ship, I was like "Cool" but didn't feel too strongly (at least not yet) for this ship since I really had no idea what was happening otherwise in the AA universe.

Once I started watching/playing Ace Attorney, I understood why basically everyone shipped Wrightworth and quickly jumped onboard too. Sooo many of their interactions just left me totally confounded as to how they are not explicitly canon. And as many people have joked or teased about, the fact that Phoenix literally became a lawyer to see Miles again in court, like AHHHHH!!!

In the case of Wrightworth, I think this is a ship that once I knew it existed, and had a bit more info about their pasts and relationship as presented in-game (but also the anime too), I was like yes, they are a couple/married, your honor.

Honorable Mention: Zeddison

(Zed Necrodopolis and Addison Wells from Zombies)

Compared to the previously mentioned couples and ships, I am not as huge of a fan of Zeddison (not in the sense of I don't ship them, but there are other couples I am rooting for a lot more than them). However, considering the amount I have written about and analyzed Zombies/Zeddison on this blog, I feel they definitely deserve some mention.

Zeddison very much represents the trope of star-crossed lovers or two lovers from opposite sides, with Zed being a part of the zombie world and Addison a part of the human world. Overall, in terms of form, I do not think this couple does anything super groundbreaking (or that hasn't been seen in movies before). However, over the course of the three Zombies movies, I do appreciate how different stages of their relationship are shown (Exp: revealing their relationship to their family/peers, jealousy, reconciliation, and worries about being long distance). I love Zeddison because of how much they are willing to stand up for their partner and really don't care about what others think of them together. And again, I also love that their relationship is composed of both highs and lows, which are explored to an extent.

I really really love how when i wake up at like idk 7 AM or so in the morning only to see multiple notification and one of those are your fic notification!! It makes me already giddy and stimmimg trying to calm my heart before i start reading and then stops remembering i have a morning routine to do first before that!!

So back to the review (trust me, my heart STILL beating fast even remembering the fic✨✨ that's how badly am excited!), We start back at the kids FIGHTING tooth and nail for our peepaw's attention! I just looves it, it's funny and oddly wholesome, and leo begin a grumpy old man - with too much PTSD in that shell - is just sitting there and watching the drama unfolds while trying - keyword trying but not hard enough - to stop them ONLY to be saved by old man splinter 😂

Man why do i feel splinter WANTS to say " get use to it because it's gonna happen daily " and walk as the ghost brothers and sister give them their privacy that they needed, it is right that after the scary battle, the injuries and taking care of everybody? Big blue didn't have his time to let... Well.. Everything sink in his brain! It's like delay panic.

I feel so happy that splinter asked f!leo to go with him shopping because he not only needed some sort of quite but quality time with his dad! So they teleport to hidden city market and it does remind me of few funny things (something relate to my memories when i was just a little girl).

Splinter giving leo ONE job to do and he fail miserably - i don't kinda blame him, IT'S BEEN 20 YEARS! -.

I... LOVE how he is able to avoid scammers and pickpocketers, this screams how well aware leo is and i LOVE IT!! The cool vibes of " i may be old but don't mess with me! " vibes 🤩

He finally meets the 03 cat klunk! (03 tmnt Mikey had an orange cat i don't remember if it was named klunk or not), and just knowing her lower part is broken just BREAK my sensitive heart, i can't bear to see an animal hurt THIS bad especially if they can't defend themselves.

And we reach the 2nd part the spoiled clip part of the store owner, before we continue this guy reminded me of that one background guy in cass apocalypse comic where he was screaming at casey when leo turned smol? Remember him? Yeah he reminds me of that guy.

So back at store owner he drops jokes, insults and comments left and right - missus pfft - and we reach that champion pants, believe me i almost SCREAMED FOR THAT PANTS!! THEY FIT HIM!! tho he didn't wear it yet - wait is I'm blue fic, big blue wear them?? -

I honestly never thought leo would drop the WHOLE summary of his existence and war to the store owner but man, HE BELIEVED HIM?!?! WUT?!

So NOW leo - with cute little Klunk - going to find ol' splinter and he's fighting so hard for a discount - ngl that reminds me of my mom, she fought a guy for 15% discount - and then dropping the tea!🤣 i honestly wished i was there to egg him on " spill the tea sis! Spill the tea! ".

Leo luckily went back home without much difficulty only to see a new challenger had been added to the fight... CJ! Now my bet is with CJ! He will kick ass.

Am glad Klunk was there to calm everyone down because i think they would've been to the second phase; using REAL weapons.

I think because leo was older he was weak against orange's puppy eyes - AND EVEN SAID WE TOOK DONNIE IN 😂😂😂😂-.

But then realize blue is missing and that gets me worried a bit, maybe it's the part where he and blue play video games? Hopefully.

The yokai clothing hop owner that Leonardo met was kind of inspired by the real talkative (questionable) guy from the first chapter of DMD hehe. But selling the champion pants is totally not referring to the battle nexus (in a silly way, we won’t be getting Leonardo in big mama’s ring) but I like to think that there are yokai who sell off brand battle nexus champ merch lol

And Leonardo admitting to his creation (although twisting the truth to seem a little more believable for the yokai) made me laugh a little because he said it either such conviction that it was believable lol

Leonardo returning to the chaos was a struggle there were so many people to take account for in writing but blue going missing kind of makes it easier

Sadly we won’t be getting the moment where Leonardo and blue play games and that won’t happen until Casey jr gets into school. :)

anyway, a big recap of my victoria bc trip

got up at 6:50 am ish and then headed out at 7:20 took the train and bus to the ferry terminal and then headed to victoria yay, lined up for a a breakfast meal for the ~experience~ and that pretty much took up most of the time. Arrived and took the bus to the royal bc museum, almost missed my bus due to it being full but someone pointed to the huge line to go take the other bus, got lucky there.

The Royal BC Museum was cool, though there wasn't much to it cause there were no feature exhibit at that time and one part of the museum was under reno, but it was still fun nonetheless!! I didn't realize how dark it was so honestly I was a lil spooked at times esp cause I was alone haha. Since it was a very nice day I went down to the Fisherman's Wharf cause I wouldn't have time on saturday and i heard the weather wasn't gonna be good on sunday. Most of the shops were closed for the season LMAOO so there wasn't much to see, but thankfully there was 1 fish n chips shop open and i bought some yum yum, it was very filling. Walked back to downtown and went through the Miniature World museum and it was super cute!!! It was also a lil spoopy for parts of it cause there were portions of it where it was dark and there weren't many people going through it.

Headed to the airbnb around 5 ish, and then chilled for a bit. Was wanting to order dinner but the place I wanted to order to was too busy at that time to take in takeout orders so i had to schedule it at 8 sobs but thats okay cause i was still full from the fish n chips, so i just chilled and tried to nap. The dinner was kinda mid ngl, wish i got the lasagna but i was like "but i can get lasagna anywhere else" it was okay but still LOL. also splurged and bought a cheesecake as well, that was pretty good though. couldn't finish it so i saved half of it for tomorrow's dinner.

The next day was con day!! I was supposed to go to a brunch place but i slept in a little and then when i got there, the line was pretty long and i didnt want to wait so im like eh okay nvm ima just go back home and eat the breadsticks i didn't eat yesterday LOL as well as the creme brulee given by the airbnb host they're so nice. And then I made my way to the con and omg it was a lot of walking lol. Got in and hung around mainly in the artist alley!! I was supposed to go watch the cosplay contest but i lost track of time and missed it LMAO OOPS. I spent waaay more than I thought I would, but very happy with my purchases and wish i bought more haha but my backpack literally would have no room for it. I spent the remaining time at my friends table til like 6:30 and made a new friend that was tabling with her, she was super kind and fun

Got home and picked up dinner on the way, ordered a mixed kebab meal set and it was so good and the portion was huge, very worth it and very delicious. Spent the rest of the night eating and showering and watching youtube and packed a little bit before leaving tomorrow.

Woke up the next day, final day, it was damn pouring in the morning sadly, so I just stayed in the airbnb until 10:50 and then made my way to explore the Chinatown (which I found out is the second oldest Chinatown in North America???? damn). Went to the little Chinatown museum and saw some cool stuff and then walked around the area and the shops nearby. Went to Boardwalk Burgers and chilled until it was time to catch the bus to the ferry.

I arrived hella early cause if I didn't take the bus I took, i would have been late to my ferry;;; BUT MY FERRY GOT DELAYED. So I just spent a lot of time sitting at the waiting area playing my 3DS LOL Made some progress in AA5 again finally, i haven't played it in sooo long ( i really should finish it, as well as spirit of justice, and i still have the great chronicles to play;;) Got on the ferry and played some more AA5 and holy cow the line for the cafeteria was so long im glad i didn't decide to eat dinner there cause I was originally gonna but thank god i didnt. Napped a lil before arriving at the bay aaaand then went home :)

Overall, very nice trip!! Even though I was alone, I had a blast exploring and seeing things and got to take my time to explore shops and whatever I wanted. I had no budget planned going into this and I probably should have cause I spent... quite a lot, but oop.
