You know, as beautiful and heartbreaking this scene is, it was just a "tease", we see Rayla determined to kill Callum yes but we don't know what would have happened, he didn't get full corrupted, we didn't get to see him full of darkness or fully possessed by Aaravos, I believe the route would have been Rayla refusing to kill him, everything has been leading up to it (If you have to choose me between me and the greater good...)

One of Rayla's character arc and foreshadowing was leading to choose Callum over the world and save him, choosing love over duty since one of her conflicts was choosing duty over love (like in TTM) and she's his one truth after all but that didn't have a huge pay off in this season.

Callum has done dark magic once again, so he's corrupted and vulnerable to when Aaravos comes back, he still has the cube and hasn't learned about his secrets, the possession plot isn't resolved at all and I suppose we will see the full thing coming in Arc 3 with Rayla saving him and the cube getting to shine.

Hm. I admit I'm. Cautiously optimistic about Dark Ages. Looks like it has cool designs, and id software at least has a reputation for good gameplay, if not good story. I just really, really hope they at least stick to the story they established in Eternal and don't completely mutilate it.

God I love horror. It makes me so happy

#i dont care much for slasher horror or like extremely gory stuff. like i am pretty desensitized to the stuff #so it doesnt like do anything for me. its pretty bland imo #but a good mix of psychological and supernatural horror? thats my jam #i feel like hereditary was good but it was in a certain way a bit disappointed bc it felt like. weirdly collaged #like it started with psychological horror and suddenly it had that tulpa cult shit. which ngl is good! and the acting is incredible #but it felt unorganic #I would've liked it better if it had just been pure psychological horror #I feel like there's very few pieces of psychological horror that are worth noting tbh. it's a hard genre to pull off
