So excited to post my marauders era snape centric fic I'm inlove with it. I have already planned out future scenes and written a list of descriptors I use for each character so I know how to keep them characterised... Are they ooc? A little. But also not really! It's hard to write them in character when it's supposed to be a "What if Severus and the Marauders became friends" fic BUT I've tried to keep their personalities the same up until certain points anyway, so here's to hoping it works and doesn't feel forced or like I'm watering them down. I don't have a clue how the general fandom characterises the lady's but don't expect me to try be true to how they'd do it. I have ideas on how people like Mary, Dorcas and Marlene will act. You better believe they're getting their time to shine.

(FYI... This is an endgame Jeverus fic, so James hardcore crushes on Snape instead of Lily (kinda, James is in denial for a while). But I've noticed alot of Jeverus fics like this have it so Snape is really pretty and that's why he crushes on him... that isn't happening here. At all. Snape isn't going to be written attractive unless it's from the POV of people like James or Lily (not romantically, she just thinks of all of her bestfriends in such a way). But despite this, Jeverus won't be a main focus in the fic and will only really kick off during their 3rd year because that's around when James realises he actually has a CRUSH on Snape and it goes down slash uphill from there.)

I was thinking more about how Yokai life stages are so different from ours and what kind of effect that would have on everything else. Like, if we assume their life cycles is similar to that of a human, just on a much longer scale, then a Yokai could be in their 'child-bearing years' for literally centuries. (I mean, it all depends on the Yokai and the life cycle of their source DNA and how much they inherited from that, but assuming most of them are more human-like) And their kids do take slightly longer to mature, but not by that much.

I've already figured that there's much less of a push to get people having babies as soon as they can-they've got so much time, and especially since Yokai are generally healthier and less susceptible to disease they're expecting most of those kids to survive to adulthood. That would just be a lot of babies, and rapid population growth would really put a strain on resources. So even though Yokai are legal adults at 20 and probably reach sexual maturity around the same time as humans, having kids before you're a century old is considered super early. Like, Bella is 45, and she would practically be considered a teen mother if she had a kid now. "You're not even fifty yet, oh my god, you haven't lived! You need time on your own to figure out who you are!" (ironically, there are kids she went to school with who are grandparents now)

But anyway, considering the baby-having window is so wide and Yokai kids don't take that long to grow up, I feel like it would be the norm to have one, maybe two kids and then raise them to adulthood before having the next. That way you're not splitting your attention between a bunch of kids and can devote all your energy and resources into the one you're working on right now. Then once the kid is a young adult and doesn't really need to be actively parented anymore, then they can move onto the next one.

This also makes Draxum's decision to mutate and raise four mutant children at once even more unhinged.

Bonus: he has nightmares about delphini torturing and even killing scorpius which has made him very, very protective. He gets along with Lily the best of his siblings but still really loves his brother (even if he's annoying af sometimes). His worst subject is Potions but after his fourth year he buckles and asks James to tutor him (since it's Jamie’s best subject). After that, even though it's still his least favorite subject, he tries extremely hard to get good marks solely to make James proud. Can't balance on a broomstick or fly to save his life and Quidditch bores him to death. His favorite and best subject is Care of Magical Creatures, and his favorite Beasts are the aviary ones. He gained the ability to see thestrals after the incident with Delphini, learning quickly that they weren't nearly as frightening as he always believed. He acquires a strand of tail hair while visiting the herd of thestral near Hogwarts, and later brought it to Olivander to ask if he'd fashion a wand around it. The old wandcrafter was cautious to use it but was stunned to find how well the wand actually fit Albus (it remains the only wand he's ever made utilizing thestral tail hair). Having that wand made him more confident and reminded him that even great fear can become one of your greatest strengths. Gets along famously well with Draco which Harry fuuuuuckin hates.

Wand Wood — larch

"Strong, durable, and warm in color, larch has long been valued as an attractive and powerful wand wood. Its reputation for instilling courage and confidence in the user has ensured that demand has always outstripped supply. This much sought-after wand is, however, hard to please in the matter of ideal owners and trickier to handle than many imagine. I find that it always creates wands of hidden talents and unexpected effects, which likewise describes the master who deserves it. It is often the case that the witch or wizard who belongs to the larch wand may never realise the full extent of their considerable talents until paired with it, but that they will then make an exceptional match."

Similar to Scorpius, Albus' previous wand (cherry wood and dragon heartstring) was broken in half by Delphini, which led him to receive his larch wand over the summer. Olivander warned Albus that it may be a bit difficult to master due to the properties of the wood. It was no secret that Albus wasn't considered the most talented of wizards: he had difficulty performing simple spells, struggled with potions, and the like. This was greatly due to the self-imposed expectations, as well as the abysmal lack of confidence he suffered from. Though his cherry wand did choose him, it never felt right in his hand. It isn't until after he faced Delphini that he began to trust himself a bit more, likely due to spite more than anything else. Olivander was stunned to see just how well the larch wand fit in Albus' hand. As if he was born to hold that wand. Olivander considers it to be one of his most impressive wands, as well as one of his more tempermental, because it doesn't like to perform for wizards who are not Albus. It will, however, work well in Scorpius' hand. Olivander theorizes this is due to the fact Albus cares deeply for Scorpius, and unconsciously instills that same care into his wand — an extension of his emotions. The larch wand will try to protect Scorpius in Albus' stead if the need arose. It's quite an interesting phenomenon.

Wand Core — thestral tail hair

"Thestral wands generally produce strong magic, but only when the wielder understands themselves. If the wielder does not know themselves or loses themselves, then their spells will suffer. When the wielder knows themselves, then this wand can create very strong spells. The Thestral wands are very tempermental and rare to find with Wizards and Witches of today."

Albus realizes that he can see the thestrals on the Hogwarts grounds soon after Christmas break his fourth year. Initially, he's cautious and avoids them to the best of his ability, but his curiosity eventually sees him visiting the herd in his spare time. During these visits, he quickly comes to realize that in spite of their startling appearance, Thestral are extremely docile and gentle. He becomes good friends with the herd and deeply enjoys being around them. During one of his visits, while giving one a good pet, a few strands of tail hair get caught around his fingers. He doesn't have an explanation of why he keeps it, but he feels compelled to bring them to Olivander himself, asking him to form a wand around them. Olivander is hesitant at first — he doesn't normally craft wands with such an unusual, unstable core — but eventually gives in. Albus is persistent, after all. It's just as well that he chooses to use larch, a wand wood known for instilling confidence, as a way to naturally counter any hesitancy that may still be lingering in Albus. His magic seems more powerful now that it's directed through a wand made so entirely for him, and it seems to grow even more powerful as time passes and Albus grows even more confident in himself. It's truly a symbiotic relationship, and Olivander swells with pride whenever he sees it in action.

Patronus — thestral (very rare)

"Since only people who have witnessed death can see thestrals, many associate them with loss of life; however, those with this Patronus are genuinely gentle and kind. People with the Thestral Patronus are empathetic and realistic and have the ability to look at the bigger picture, making them deeply powerful. They're often misunderstood by others and are way ahead of their years, having contemplated ideas that most only think about on their deathbeds."

James used to tease Albus using thestrals as a device of fear. Albus always knew he was just joking, but as a child, he couldn't help how scared he got when hearing the creatures description. Even following Craig's death when he was able to see the thestrals, he still felt nervous; but it offered an alarming sense of relief when he finally chose to approach the beasts and realized just how benign they were. They looked a certain way, so were perception as being malicious. A great majority of people with little to no understanding of them assumed the worst of them — just like they did with Albus. A creature that Albus once feared becoming a source of enormous strength and confidence, to the point where it becomes the core of his magic — is there anything more poetic than that? He loves thestrals now, and he bursts in joy when he casts a corporeal patronus the first time. While his classmates take a cautious step away, he would hold his hand out and smile, because he isn't afraid anymore.

As for Hazel, her hair is always fun to draw and design. I just love the cinnamon-y shades and the lighting that you could play with. (As a straight asian hair girlie, getting curly perm is definitely one of my life goals. 💇🏻‍♀️ ) I think in the next piece I may try different updos and looks on her because, to me, her character materials, palette, and vibe make one of the most interesting character designs from the book.

ok honestly. im still working on the specifics. but bronwyn is indeed brought down from her owl beast grief-induced fugue state/month long breakdown where she runs away and is only seen like a cryptid for a while. I want it to be a really sweet moment like Tanjirou singing the lullaby to Nezuko to calm her down from her demon rage state, but I know realistically kind words wont be enough to un-beast her.

the owl beast was split between the three Clawthornes for YEARS, and after lilith and then eda pass on, it all rebounds back on Bronwyn. not only is the curse by itself overpowering, but considering she loses her mother and the owl beast lost its long time friends, the emotional toll on them both is INTENSE and definetly is gonna hinder any easy solutions.......

As well as life had been going for Heather and Conrad, reality came crashing down one Saturday when Ash was in the city with the Landgraabs. Both were spending the day at work, but Heather fell ill and called Conrad.

"Something's wrong. Can you meet me at St. Sims Hospital?"

Heather was admitted for tests, but Dr. Serra delivered the devastating news. "This happens more often than you might think this early on, but there's no heartbeat. I'm sorry."

"This is my fault," said Conrad. "My fear added stress you didn't need."

"This isn't your fault," said Heather staunchly. "Dr. Serra said this happens more often than you think. You didn't stress me out any more than the rest of our busy lives stressed me out. I've worn a glucose monitor since high school and I have to remind myself to slow down all the time. You make my life so much easier, Conrad. Not more stressful."

"This can be a difficult time for anyone," Dr. Serra said gently. "I'd like to refer you both to a colleague of mine, if you're open to it. Her name is Dr. Supriya Delgato, and she's a relationship and family therapist with a focus on grieving. I think you should talk to her when you're ready. She has an office upstairs and I can let her know she might hear from you."

"Yes please," said Heather. "Thank you, Dr. Serra."

Conrad was still apologetic when they returned home, trying to think of the right thing to say while an exhausted Heather changed into her pajamas. "I'm sorry. I should have been more supportive from the start."

"I'm glad you were honest with me, Conrad. For better or worse, knowing how you feel makes everything clearer for me."

"I do want a family with you. I want Ash to have a brother or sister, and I was looking forward to the parenting classes we were going to sign up for. I wish it hadn't turned out this way."

She embraced him. "Me too. But when I was about seven my mom had a miscarriage early, like me. She got through it, and she had Hazel a year later."

"Heather, I promise you, next time I'll be ready."

"I believe you. We don't need to think about that tonight, but I think we should schedule an appointment with Dr. Delgato like Dr. Serra suggested."

"I haven't spoken to a grief counselor since I was in high school," he admitted. "Back then I was too angry at the world to get anything from it."

She held him in a reassuring embrace. "I think this will be a good thing for both of us."

They went to bed that night feeling closer than ever, cuddling beneath the covers until they both fell asleep. ->

NOTE: This happened unexpectedly via the Heathcare Redux mod by adeepindigo and I was really sad about it. I'm sorry to anyone who hated this development especially after we all went through it with Conrad. I considered pretending it didn't happen since it happened SO early, but I appreciate the realistic storytelling supported by the mod nonetheless. And Conrad will be thrilled about the next one, because I'm literally sending him to grief counseling to justify me changing his trait to 'Would Love to Have a Child Right Now' without letting it flip over time. No chances taken, only plot! In all honesty Heather should have had therapy in high school so in some ways this is long overdue for them both, anyway.

NOTE 2: That last shot is the first time they autonomously cuddled (to sleep, my heart!) after the Lovestruck update. Honestly their level of flirty when they're together is usually sky high and blocks out most of their sad moodlets, hence the smiles despite this really sad installment. When it comes to Conrad, Heather isn't unflirty whatsoever.

A longish list of Fo4 mods that hopefully won't break your game if you're playing on Next Gen (This list is very much catered to my specific play style and my love of the Minutemen and the Railroad, BOS look elsewhere)

I'll add more or edit this list when I find other mods that I like which play nice or if one's on here are incompatible

The Technical Ones:

Extended Dialogue Interface You'll need F4SE For this one though I'm pretty sure you need it for quite a few. The extended dialogue interface does what it says on the tin and removes the short four options you have for responses and gives you exactly what your sole survivor is going to be saying so you don't end up being incredibly racist towards Nick when the option says 'sarcastic'.

HUDFramework is a UI framework that makes it possible for mods to add new UI elements to the HUD (I say don't worry about this one until it's in a requirement for mods you're getting)

Cheat Terminal Yes, yes I know how some people feel about this kind of mod. I've been playing fallout 4 for like 10 years, I don't have fun scouring every corner of Boston's armpit looking for clipboards. This is a holotape cheat menu that lets you add anything in the game to your inventory, SPECIAL points and other bits. It also lets you teleport companions to your location if they get stuck in an elevator, fix some faction quest if they get broken. This one is great for me because in my little make believe world I have my soul survivor is either a Courser or the Kellogg guinea pig and there's options to make you a little more deadly

Workshop Framework For Players: New controls and faster, more stable workshop scripts. For Modders: Add new resource types, override settings, and generally change the way settlements work dynamically. You'll need this bad boy for a few of the mods on this list They'll be in the requirements for them on nexus

Fallout Priority Next-Gen - CPU Performance FPS Optimizer Does what it says on the tin and stops me from ripping my hair out. Improves performance by elevating the CPU Priority of the game process and minimizes input lags and prevents stutters caused by other processes.

Workshop Menu Missing Tabs Fix Sometimes your workshop tabs will just disappear which is really really annoying. This fixes that with a holotape

The Immersion/Gameplay Ones:

Realistic Death Physics - No Animations decreases the amount of force of both melee and ranged attacks (especially crits) to more realistic levels

Lowered Weapons I hate how your character is always pointing their gun foward 100% of the time in first person, this has your character relax their hold on their gun when not firing it

Improved Maps and Visible Roads A much better high contrast world map with roads, topography, and waterline all clearly visible. Optional number grid and regions

Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul Increases the diversity and dynamics of in-game sound, Great on the ears if you're playing with headphones. My one problem with it though is that it's a little too loud for me and the settings keep resetting every time I boot up the game, but that can be fixed by going into your sound settings, and it takes less than 5 seconds

Enhanced Blood Textures Mixed blood look a little more like well... blood

Vivid Fallout all-in-one In many cases they sharpened the games original textures somewhat, made new normal maps and enhanced shadowing.It looks really good and the textures are less V-Ram heavy than the original ones

Skip Kellogg's Memories I hate that Bethesda felt the need to try to make me sympathetic towards that man, and so I skip his memories all together. Wouldn't recommend for a first play through

Raiders Nonaggressive Raiders are now name "Wastelander" and they are no longer immediately hostile. If the player gets to close the Wastlander will warn you, if you continue to get close the Wastelander will draw a weapon, if you continue to move forward from there they will then attack

Gunners Overhaul makes the Gunners friendly to the player at the start of the game. It also makes all containers and useful items in Gunner areas belong to the Gunner faction, which means you have to steal it from them.  It basically makes them the mercenary/militia faction they're implied to be

Extremely Long Lasting Stealth Boy There is different scales for the length but I do the one that extends it to 1 minute

Pip-Boy Flashlight This one is one of my personal favorites, it overhauls the flashlight on your pip-boy as well as on power armour making it look more like an actual flashlight and like the light is coming from your pip-boy. You can customise what kind of light it is too and some of the options are really cool

Settler and Companion Dialogue Overhaul reduces or eliminates repetitive companion dialogue and adds new situation-appropriate dialogue for companions. They'll have more to say and seem more aware of their surroundings. Settlers are aware of your quest progression, and while they still occasionally complain about "my back hurts, my feet hurt…", they display increased awareness of the dangers lurking in the Commonwealth, expressing gratitude for the protection you've provided them

Better Third Rail this one makes the 3rd rail a little more lively in a lore friendly way

Combat zone restored-restored brings back the cut content that made the combat zone more than just another dungeon

Friendly East City Downs restores the content where this isn't just another dungeon

Fiddler's deliver animation retexture ooooh my god I'm obsessed with this one it makes the loading animations for unarguably the best gun in the game beautiful. And if you're wearing your wedding rings still you can see it in the animation and it makes my heart hurt each time

Natural expression fix helps make the expressions the player and emphasis have a little more...normal

Project reality footsteps changes almost all footstep sounds into more realistic ones. Including subtle gear and backpack rattle

Commonwealth encounter adds almost 300 new encounters to the game

The Faction/Companion Ones:

Afiinity Gains This changes the rate of how you gain affinity with companions. I choose the one that halves it because of the way I play, I get deacon's conversations a lot sooner than I feel is in character for him

Companions Infinite Ammo Gives the vanilla companions infinite ammo for all weapons, just like settlers. As long as they have 1 round in inventory they can fire indefinitely

Companions Stealth Distance Companions can sneak is the one I got before this but it's no longer compatible. It prevents your companion from charging up your booty at full speed whenever you enter stealth. Also slightly increases their follow distance. Now also prevents Dogmeat from entering player crosshairs every damn time you stop

Immersive Dogmeat Makes him a little more sneaky and a little more deadly. He'll wait for you to attack before doing anything for the most part. It also removes his level cap

Everyone's Best Friend Speaking of dog meat, this mod let's you take him with you and a companion at your choice like how it was originally intended before the game was launched

Preston Garvey No Radiant Settlement Quests Until you take the Castle, Preston will give you the quests as normal. After you have control of the castle and the radio powered up again, he'll stop giving you new quests every time you speak with him. Now to receive further quests you simply tune into the Minutemen radio station and will receive the alerts from there.

Deacon outfit change change stop deacon from changing clothes every three seconds. This one's for my own little game play reasons where he gets to a point where he feels like he no longer needs to change his clothes every 5 seconds when he's with Wanderer

Improved Railroad Overhauls the Railroad faction (in a lore friendly way) to more closely resemble the Underground Railroad and put them on the same level relative to the other major factions

Cleaner Railroad HQ Environment This is when I instal a little bit after joining the railroad, it gets rid of all of the trash and random bricks scattered throughout HQ

Railroad redone is an overhaul of HQ Even though the Railroad is a struggling faction in the commonwealth at the start of the game, I still feel that their base of operations in vanilla fallout 4 is extremely underwhelming. This mod fixes that by changing the physical environment. There's now personalized spaces for iconic characters like Desdemona, tinker-tom, deacon and others. The Player character also has their own quarters with a private terminal, bed, and power-armor station. It cleans up all trash -and some bricks and re-navmeshed the cell. And there's a pathway across the waters in the escape tunnel

More railroad exits adds a small little dungeon and two more exits into the inner city through the escape tunnel

Diverse railroad adds new faces to the unnamed NPC associated with the railroad

Railroad redemption This adds more bits to for the railroad associated with settlements, and allure friendly way it makes the railroad feel bigger and outside the scope of just the player

Railroad perks All of the quest reward perks for Railroad quests were cut before the game was released. This mod enables them at the appropriate times in doing Railroad Quests through a scavenger hunt style "quest"

You and what army Have you ever felt like the minutemen were a bit lacking? Perhaps the settlement system feels tedious, extra, or simply lacks real progression for you. Maybe even wondered why the minutemen seem less relevant the more you play? This mod aims to fix that, using your settlements as a base to expand the Minutemen and improve their ability to help the commonwealth. No longer will everything be entirely on the shoulders of one general. I love this one because in my head Preston and I are co-generals

We are the Minutemen The Minutemen are supposed to be the best alternative for rebuilding the Commonwealth because : More settlements = More resources = Better materials = Better fire power and a larger presence in all the Commonwealth. But currently this is not the case, this mod attempts to fix that

We are the men an alias framework gives the Minutemen ranks and lets you find out their names using the Alias Framework.

The Pretty Ones:

Forest Transforms the Commonwealth into a dense and overgrown forest landscape without disabling precombines. It's my favorite nature overhaul. Tree Trim is a 2024 patch for it that improves tree placement and compatibility (but you can open console commands and type 'disable' after selecting one if there's a tree in a place where a tree shouldn't be)

Animated Traffic Lights This makes the traffic lights thought the Commonwealth work again which I think is fun and goes nicely visually wise with the next one on my list

Lighting Series - All In One lights up red rockets, Starlight and other diners neon, bus stops adds, and illuminates billboards in the Commonwealth

Lightweight Lighting The lighting overhaul lighting mod I use, there are others out there higher on the endorsement list, but this is the best I've found for not tanking my fps while still looking fantastic

Interiors Enhanced - Darker Ambient Light and Fog Ambient light power and fog brightness inside all interiors reduced by 60%, without touching any directional light sources whatsoever, keeping lighting 100% true to vanilla except for those dark corners and unlit areas. Subways are actually dark and scary! Not just a filter, actual light data has been altered. 10/10 my fav lighting mod

Enhanced Lights and FX creates more atmospheric and realistic lighting. It overhauls the lights, effects, ambient light and creates a new mood for interiors. If you get a weird teal light at some locations it might be because of this mod

Darker Nights The lighting ones above look really cool with this. I have the lower setting that doesn't make the nights longer but adds just a little more night

The Flora and Fauna Ones:

Glowing Animals Emit Light Makes glowing animal variants emit light, scaled to their size

Fireflies This adds fireflies at night. It gets a little heavy at the start for my taste but there's a holotape that can tweak the settings

Wildlife overhaul less aggressive creatures and companions This mod makes prey cautious but still scared - also stops companions from hunting them down without cause. Additionally randomizes the animals height slightly, and adjusts some stats. Adds aggression radius to most creatures and robots

Squirrels of the Commonwealth there's squirrels now :)

Mutant Menagerie is a real fun one with all new creatures gathered from a wealth of public access sources. These new, lore-friendly creatures come with unique drops and hand-placed spawns. This mod also adds in dozens of dynamic spawns for new, vanilla, and DLC creatures alike! I'm not going to tell you what it's using as a shell but there's a giant hermit crap and the first time I saw one I was genuinely afraid

More Radstags adds more radstags

Commonwealth Chickens and Rabbits adds, you guessed it! Chickens and rabbits

Commonwealth wilderness overhaul adds a ton of hand placed scenes, objects and creatures across the entire commonwealth wilderness

DECAY makes feral ghouls terrifying

The Player and NPC Ones:

Rusty face fix so there's this bug right? Bug changes the colour of your characters and NPC faces and it's really annoying. This mod fixes that

Classic Ghouls Redux Every Ghoul in the vanilla game gets a Fallout 3/NV ghoul look. It gives them that gruesome falling apart look like the older games

FCO - HD Eyes My fav eye mod that just enhances the vanilla eyes. There's the eyes of beauty but I feel like that mod is too over the top and the eyes, while beautiful, don't fit the game

Ponytail Hairstyles This is the hair mod I think fits best with the vanilla textures, also 13 is my favorite

Lore-Friendly Maxson I don't even see his stupid face in my games, I just need to know that he actually looks like a 23 year old before I blow up his stupid blimp. But seriously, there's something more heavy about knowing that you're destroying a ship whose captain is someone who is so so young

Magnolia is not a cartoon makes Magnolia look a little bit more like the fantastic Linda Carter who is her voice actor. Hi Linda!

Shawn goes to bed this one's a spoiler so don't click on it unless you know what happens at the end of the main quest but now your son goes to bed at night

Eli's Armor Compendium Adds a bunch of new lore friendly armors and outfits to the game

Wasteland fashion also adds a bunch of more friendly outfits and armors

Black Metal pip-boy Makes the pip-boys in game black

The Settlement Ones:

Transfer Settlement Blueprints This mod is currently not working if you're playing with the next gen. The author's most recent update on the 5th of June says that their hard work's paying off, and they're getting to a point where they're testing the mechanics of it. Basically this mod lets you download other people's settlements that they've made and posted on Nexus to have them be in your game and vice versa. Since this mod is currently out of commission, I won't include any transfer settlement mods in this list but Fiddleflaps has the best one's in my opinion

Sanctuary Hills Overhaul is my favorite Sanctuary mod and the one I used for like 7 years straight . It makes it so there were a few plane crashes near sanctuary and previous settlers used the bits of those planes to build walls and homes

Rickety restored Sanctuary bridge fixes the bridge in Sanctuary but in a lore friendly way

Anom's Sanctuary Hills Overhaul makes the houses there somewhere to the ones and the rest of the commonwealth instead of 'houses of the future' It also adds a community centre and a hotel in a lore friendly way

Starlight bus barricade is an overhaul of Starlight Drive, it's very fun but very big

CVC Dead Wasteland Workshop adds 1000s of unique, lore friendly items to build in your settlements and I love it, The candles and other lighting they have or an excellent touch for low/no power settlements

Settlement supplies expanded is another workshop expansion , this one adds about 400 things

But the only thing that helped was yummy marshmallows by a fire. As a child and teen your parent took you camping to settle your pesky mood swings. As a teen you made very little friends because of your anger acting out. Yet you managed to graduate from high school. Now you're a young adult ready to face the big bad world. Of all places you decide to take up camp in Strangerville far away from people. Because you know even though your parent would say differently. You're nothing like a marshmallow you're a mess like a smore. In Strangerville you find a chaotic place to stay with two other people. Like you who you can call your fiery spirited friends. They might be possessed by alien plants or have erratic emotions. May even be a bit furry but this is a home, your random log home on a hill with your maniac friends. There you stay with them and start your life as a criminal. Stealing from the ones who made Strangerville weird. Practicing gardening and herbalism that helps your mood chill out. One of your friends take notice and ask you out, you find out their a werewolf! But that doesn’t stop you, ya'll get together. Move to Moonwood Mill, a truly nice place to camp forever even for a human like you. You Marry them and have lots of campfires together with your children too! You may have a hot head crunchy on the outside but a hard to miss mushy fun center. All because of your biophile and crime life you had in wacky Strangerville. That led to your forever woodsy home with your werewolf partner and children.

You move to Mt.Komorebi the place for both the things you crave! The chilliest place in all the sims worlds! There you stay in a home in the snow you built with your own two hands. You're not afraid to be a little messy here and there especially if it means adventure! You start making a living teaching yoga, doing peoples nails and giving massages. In your favorite place of all a spa or park, it makes you a good amount of money! Now you have more time to snowboard or ski to be the true adrenaline junkie you are! On the slopes one day you meet a local who shows you the more hotter areas of the world! You two get close and date but after awhile you notice they are boring. So after a night of closeness and woohoo you leave them. You know you deserve someone who can relate more with you and is fun! So after being alone for a bit with just you and the mountain. You finally meet someone on cupid's corner who you connect with! You meet up and go on a date. It leads to marriage and having a nice home in the cold full of memories. Pictures of your journey as a couple and of your family you made together! You may have left your home young but you're too cool and chill to care!

Which they knew wouldn’t get you anywhere in life! So as a teen they got you a camera in hopes it would spark something in you. You start taking photos of everything, even the oddest things. That nobody would ever photograph but you always loved the weird things. Supernatural lore interested you so much. That after you graduated you started the freelance photographer career. Then you found a creepy old home with lots of eerie things to photograph. So you live there but after the first week there you're terrified! Guess you are afraid of ghosts but you meet a friendly one along the way. Who you’ll truly miss when you move out. So you move out into a house down the street. Because for the first time ever you found your muse! And you won’t dare step foot back into that strange abandoned house! Time passes and you forget all about your ghostly encounter. You do well as a freelance photographer and you have a child/children. From someone whom you thought was nice. But they were evil so it didn’t work out with you two. Now you're searching for your next muse but you’ve grown lazy as an Adult. And lost all hope for you to soar, after finding your courage! You decide after losing your photographer's eye to be lazy and enjoy early retirement. Living back in that spooky house you used to live in. Your parent tried to understand you but things got out of hand. As a teen you decide to ditch your parents' ghoulish filled home. For life on the waves and soaking up the sun with pineapple juice. You thought life was going to be fun living in sunny Sulani right on the beach. Running away from home started to look dule. Till you took up new hobbies fishing and juice fizzing. Soon you were fishing so good you were too sneaky for the fish. And as far as making juice you are a pro! as a Young Adult you're living the life. You become a mixologist serving up the best drinks on the sand. Living In your old beach house made from random trash you found. By the sea you see all the people laying on the beach. So many hearts you can potentially break. That becomes your new goal in life. Maniacally and deviously you don’t care about the sad people you leave behind. You woohoo and become the town player soon the islanders take notice! They banish you now you're getting karma right back at you. Now you don’t know what to do! So you move to a new world as an Adult and start a new life you marry and have kids. This is not how you wanted your life to go! So you have an affair and find out you're not a , you're just poly. You want to have multiple partners so now you know why you went around to different people. That doesn’t explain though, why you love hurting people emotionally. Why was that so fun for you? You have a family and it’s supposed to be all about them. But you don’t care so you neglect your partner and your children. To be in a poly relationship and maybe still be the villainous valentine who loves sipping pineapple juice!

Growing up it was tough your parents had issues that you wish would go away. It made you wanna stay in your room and draw all day. Also made you more prepped and ready to go off to school each day! You do well in Elementary and High School as a teen your Unflirty never want to date anyone. Because of how troubling your parents' marriage was, you see romance as gross. You avoid it as a Young Adult you leave your parents toxic home. For a life on your own in Henford on Bagley living in a cozy cottage this is your new home. That actually feels like one your sibling was struggling living in your old home. So you adopt them and you take care of them as if their your own. You make money by being a Gardener and growing beautiful garden full of blueberries and other plants. On the side you knit and cross stitch as a hobby. But you sell them too when money runs low. You and your sibling are super close happier then most people. Who went through what ya’ll went through as they grow up. You watch them become the person they're meant to be. It’s all because you took them under your wing. Living your comfy life with your sibling was the best decision of your life. After a while of trying to not be with you they get close with you. Then seduce and bite you! Suddenly everything changed life as you knew it became gray and you craved blood. The next morning they left and packed their bags. Like you were just their meal but now you need what they did. What are you going to do you left school to become this demon-like vampire! You miss your friends so you move in with your old friend. You hide your vampirism and try to go back to life as you knew it. My Candy Love New Gen Episode 8- Little Review&Commentary

!Spoilers Ahead!

I'm not that excited while writing this review today because I honestly feel like a lot of people clocked beemov's ass really fast in regards to how innapropriate this whole story was and i respect the good points ppl made. I don't know how much i can add to this discussion then you guys.

No matter how much some members of the fandom might imply we are being dramatic or harsh in our opinions, i don't agree with them at all. And i want a little round of applause to y'all for not letting this slide.

Devon and Thomas are the two characters that change the story's direction in the way of Ysaline choosing to go with them (everyone but Amanda basically) to try to spy on Roy.

I honestly didn't have any opinion about Devon prior to this but being on Thomas's route currently, this whole thing pissed me off. I really think Thomas has a pretty privilege or something because imagine if there was a guy in your office (well, two guys) that suggested you go spy on your naked coworker and they weren't conventionally attractive 😭 Wouldn't you be more creeped off? Just goes to show attractive people be getting away with everything.

Thomas being possibly/probably being neurodivergent has been discussed here before but like, the comments he made and the way he acted was not it. Grown adults acting like spies.

Devon being their boss and still doing that shit to his supposed "friend" was also an hr nightmare.

Amanda won my heart in this episode by having some sense to refuse to go. Everyone acting like she is so stuck up was the only realistic part of this episode tbh. Feeling like you are the only sane person in a work setting is real.

Also beemov making Amanda openly imply this whole idea is off putting and innapropriate makes this whole thing worse. Like you knew what you were doing& how it might have been recieved by writing this.

I played the whole thing towards Thomas's illu to see what happens&how bad the episode went. As i predicted, we didn't see him naked (of course...) and i was relieved this shit didn't get more out of pocket.

Also when it comes to the special scene&illustration, i agree with people saying our romance is moving a little too fast. Like i'm not shaming anyone who says they love quick-paced heated romance stories or games. Nor do i shame people who say they would move fast like this with their date/crush irl. Honestly everyone can do whatever they want as long as they are safe. You do you.

But like is it that crazy not to expect Ysaline being naked in front of the guy she have known for only a few weeks, without not even properly kissing him? (the one on ep 7 doesn't count, come on.)

MCL games usually have more classic slowburn romance elements and i didn't expect this.

I wish i played Amanda's route before but seeing im on this journey with Thomas, i think he has an issue with personal boundaries and this is gonna be pretty interesting..

I think even the "its realistic!" excuse doesnt work on its own terms - cause yeah, for everyone of the 20 people to allways meet up isnt real life, but to atleast have one good friend from school, especially after going through live and die situations?

like Deku and Kachan were astranged childhood friends, who after all that made up, and also Kachan felt a lot of guilt about being a piece of shit and that Deku lost his quirk - it seems atleast those two should meet up, even do to guilt/pity Kachan now feels.

Or Ida, who is charachterised as cartoonishly proper and robotic - even he would probably see it as his duty to not abandon a friend and check on him every few months.

And Tsuy was charachterised as super caring, so after all the bonding and the fact Deku saved her from death at the start at the series, would make it seem that she would want to stay in contact - especially when she was shown to connect quickly to people.

Guess the one realistic one could be Ochako, if they did kinda try dating in highschool and it didnt work out, so it could feel awkard to then try to stay friends and all - yet then the fairytale reunion of 20 top heroes all saving some minor landslide again looks awkard.

And also its unrealistc that everyone besides Deku stayed in the hero life - especially when Jiro had the whole conflict of maybe wanting to do music instead, or the fact nobody moved overseas or did change their outfits enough to not be recognizable, etc

The real truth is that Hori feels depressed about his life and projected it, hence why the awkward happy ending that framed everything came at the last pages - a power fantasy.

It just shows how Hori, like Deku, didnt ever evolve his mindset, and stayed at the childish level of "I wanna be cool like spiderman!!" - cause if he didnt he would show Deku fulfilled as a teacher, giving the next gen the skills to actually change shit, and not see it as "setteling", with a sad expression of "alas, my dream of wearing goofy spandex suits and screaming attack names is dead😔"

The "it's realistic" excuse can work depending on the context. However, there's nothing normal or realistic about 1A and what happend in 430 (surrounding Izuku and 1A that is). It's incredibly understandable that not all 20 members of 1A were going to keep in contact and be incredibly close to eachother. Heck even in UA some 1A members weren't close to eachother and it's even stated by denki that he was never close to izuku in the vigilante arc but that he wanted to help him.

However, I have mentioned this multiple times (and you even brought it up) it's annoying that we don't see izuku hanging out with his close friends outside of hero costumes or UA uniforms. Them not doing so literally paints a picture that they aren't close at all and the whole theme of WE are heroes and power of friendship ends up failing due to this.

Look I know Iam not a huge bakugo fan but taking this into the perspective that bakugo got a satisfactory redemption arc him and izuku should keep in contact from time to time. Something that's bugged me is that after Izuku loses his quirk it seems like his interactions with bakugo are non existent, almost like izuku being a hero and having a quirk is all that their relationship is: a rivalry between who would be the best hero (kind of contradicting bakugo supposed development).

Or take for example shoto todoroki who izuku was close to but they don't seem to interact at all. Or asui. Or iida who very much helped izuku and truly cared for him. Heck tokoyami has also voiced his care for izuku multiple times and so has yuuga but we don't see any of them hang out outside of UA or heroics. Heck this chapter doesn't even give us a glimpse of maybe Izuku texting his friends in a group chat or anything. To me this all seems too bleak. What do you mean the kids who went through trauma together and had an entire theme of helping eachother and sticking together (a theme that carried the final act and fight) somehow not even hang out with eachother outside of heroics or school?

Lastly, I have no intention of making any comment about horis life unless it was stated by a credible source but it does seem like hori might of just got burnt out and he went too far with the story to give it a good ending (a well written one).

Alas, the ending was horrible.
