i have made like 57 reddit throwaway accounts in my life because my only use for reddit is to login once a year to pose niche questions to a sub i assume is compromised of mostly autistic dads desperate to impart their knowledge upon anyone who will listen. when i got my first fisheries job the equipment list my boss sent me just said “knife.” i emailed back asking what kind of knife and he replied “any knife.” i got on reddit and went to some sub about fish and i said “i got a hatchery job in alaska. what knife do i need for multipurpose use. a knife that does it all.” one guy responded in ten minutes breaking down everything about knives & salmon work. gave me a better idea of my job than the interview did. then he recommended a single knife and like twenty other people replied after him “this is the correct knife. no notes.”

I clicked, expecting raunchy art, or some sort of photography.

I had expectations of composition, of framing, of colour use and stroke, of style selection, of lighting...

It was just someone having sex.

I don't dislike sex at all, but I remember feeling viscerally disappointed.

I get that they have their own versions of all of those concerns, but I wanted fantasy and when faced with reality (which in theory should be much better) I was disappointed.

What is wrong with me?

one of my favourite examples of preserving atmosphere in a remake or HD version of a game will always be deciding not to remaster any of the music for twilight princess HD, and actually not changing much of the visuals either, something about that games atmosphere comes from the hazy and and dream like quality of digital media from the time. the muffled audio has this incredible ethereal quality to it that you just do not find in games anymore. there was something truely magical about 2000s dark fantasy media that i hope we will see again someday

I see an account with no banner, no display pic, no posts with tons of following/followers it telegraphs "bot".

Throw up a picture or something and just mark it in the description as "I'm only here to lurk, and don't post on this" or something and folks will get the picture and you shouldn't have a problem.

op is a bundle of stickbugs

having pet stick bugs is fun because every so often i will hear the distinct sound of several stick bug falling and ill go to check on them and find them all in a pile on the ground of their enclosure and i have to figure out if theyve just decided that its floor time now or if they kept mistaking each other for actual sticks again and bundled together the ceiling until gravity got the best of them.
