Chapter 13: Introduction to Drawing for design

This was the time all of us were awaiting. Since the very begging of this adventure, this moment was predestined to happen basically because it was scheduled in our Uni timetable, *cough cough* IT WAS WRITTEN ON THE STARS. And now the time has come. From today until our first year of the Dungeon is finished, we will be taught a new art of defence: Draw for Design.

Our party was given new weapons (a sketchbook, a sketchpad, and pen and pencil) and tactics to fight. Our instructor was clear enough: “This will be a tough battle, there are lots of challenges waiting for us and there will not be a certain way to clear them, but you most not fall into despair. Don’t be afraid of your new equipment, don’t be afraid of it’s sparkles and newly forged smell, just USE IT, and conquer!” she’s not an spartan teacher, she’s very nice, don’t misunderstand but epicness was starting to lack in this blog somehow and that was no good. An amazing and inspiring speech that introduced us to overturn our enthusiasm in our first missions:

“Draw cubes, squares, play with sharp figures!”:

“Then draw sphere, circles, cylinders, learn how 3d works, how shadows give perspective!”:

“We will give live to this poor flour sack now. Imagine him happy, imagine him sad, imagine him scared!”:

“Now let’s draw each other. Real life quick experiences will keep you improving:”

“ To finish off, I need you to remember your usual routines: Explain me how you everyday journey to the Dungeon, or how you return to your inn on the afternoons after a hard day learning”:

And in the blink of an eye, class was over, and we were sent back to our inns with the feeling of having started something big, at least me myself felt that way: Encouraged. I feel like our teacher said all the right things and pushed all the right buttons to motivate someone. 

Burnt Cookie was just happy like a fiver year old to get new items, he didn’t listen to the lesson at all, but nevertheless, he enjoyed it too. Fresh new challenges knocking at front my door, yeay!
