30 Days of Pride - June 5 - Anathema and Newt

It's been four years since Ana and Newt became a couple, and I hc that over that time they've learned a lot of things about each other, and themselves. Once Ana let go of being a "professional descendant," she was free to explore her expansive personality and her sexuality. Newt, who had never "kissed a girl" before meeting Ana, realized that part of that reason was that he was attracted to more than just girls. They've been enjoying life together as a couple, but also celebrate their pansexuality.

madame tracy appreciation thread

I know we’re so in love with our angels and demons and that is COMPLETELY JUSTIFIABLE

and we will defend The Them to the death which is understandable, I mean, Adam’s the one who makes the decision to just say “mm, nah” to the apocalypse (and Pepper is my queen)

but

in that one moment where Aziraphale has given up on Heaven and being Good and is actually willing to kill Adam (because it means the survival of everyone else on the planet, as well as the potential for continuing his relationship with Crowley)

Madame Tracy makes the decision to stop him. 

Now, maybe it wouldn’t have made a difference, since Adam probably could have willed away the threat, but I think this is really important.

A completely normal, every day human-- not an angel or a demon or literal hellspawn or a witch --does the math and decides that killing an 11-year-old boy (Antichrist or not) is an unacceptable cost for saving the world.

So here’s my pitch: Madame Tracy’s decision to stop Aziraphale is exactly what God was aiming for. It’s the good of humanity shining through even a difficult spot, and it’s what forces Adam, Crowley, and Aziraphale to Find A Different Solution.

GUYS

In that scene where crowley goes back to his building to find his Bentley fully restored, did he take the taxi -instead of just driving the car- because that was actually aziraphale and the body switch was done at the night before?

Which would also mean that crowley -now in aziraphale's body- actually knows all the books at aziraphale's book shop since he noticed the new books that appeared after the restoration.

So the other day @mielpetite made an offhand remark to me about Crowley jumping into Aziraphale’s arms the way Scooby Doo does when he’s scared and runs to Shaggy for protection. 

And my feral mind ran with it and traced/transformed a pic of The Gang. 

I loved Scooby Doo as a kid (he debuted in 1969, so I started watching the show when I was 7). And I love Good Omens. It’s a match made in...well...downstairs.

good omens as a show is so well done and I completely fell in love with it. but almost equally important is that I fell in love with the fandom. I’ve been actively involved in plenty of fandoms before. not a single one lives up to the good omens fandom. I still have not seen a single fight. sometimes people have different opinions on things, sure. but I haven’t seen any nasty, hateful fights. only people saying “huh, I feel this way about this, but I never thought about it your way before” and then they move on. how? how are we so calm and pure? especially when I��m sure some of us are coming from the many toxic fandoms out there? I don’t have the answers. but what I do have is a group of people who love a show (or a book) and bond almost seemlessly over it. well done, good omens tumblr. well done.

Rather odd to cheer someone who’s goin’ downhill from here, thought the red-haired man as he looked out from the driver’s seat window of his Bentley.

There were arguably more demons cramped in their basement headquarters compared to the number of humans coming out of the age-old church he was parked a safe distance from.

And yet he still can’t help but to feel a bit of annoyed at how slow they were exiting the premises.

Back in the day, and this is one of the few moments he just couldn’t make himself forget, he had the unfortunate luck to enter one of the Almighty’s temple just for the sake of the Arrangement he had with Aziraphale.

That bastard, he thought as he felt a smile crept up on his lips. He shook it off and got his phone from the dashboard, dialling the only number he has in it.

“Pip pip, all’s tickety-boo up here.” A sing-song voice of a literal angel answered without even letting the other one has a chance to ask. “Oh, Crowley I wish you could’ve seen how it all went down.”

The redhead from the driver’s seat clicked his tongue and shifted in his seat, squinting at the faces of the people coming out of the church. “Where are you?”

A little figure at the foot of the stairs before the church was doing a little serpentine dance that made the redhead cut himself short from thinking of a proper comeback. He squinted hard enough to confirm that it was indeed the person from the other line.

Crowley, partly embarrassed and partly trying hard not to let out a few laughs got out and leaned his elbows down on the hood of the car.

“Now angel,” He said, clearing his throat from the laughter bubbling up his throat. “When I say act human, that excludes the I'm-crazy-and-you-know-it bit.”

The little figure's head bopped and Crowley could only imagine the angel rolling his eyes.

“You are no fun.” The guy from the other line clicked his tongue and cleared his throat. “I'll just find you so we can go and follow them to the reception area.”

With that the line was cut, leaving Crowley with a heavy chest. For what reasons, he doesn’t know. Or rather he doesn’t want to know.

He tossed the phone inside the car and sat on the hood.
