So, on my poll, i asked " What if i was jack kelly for halloween and i sell some papers, do you think i would sell all of my papers? " and on the reblogs.. i was like "hey why not make this a universal Newsies fan experience? " so here we are !! On Thu. Oct 31 of 2024, I am planning to do a universal Newsies experience, Dress up as a newsboy on halloween and probably selling papers, or sell papers of the character you are dressing up as!! UNFORTUNATE NEWS

Hello fansies! I am greatly aware that halloween is nearing and a lot of you might (?) be excited to sell newspapers (or not, it's not mandatory) on halloween! But unfortunately as im the one working on the designs, and I am the one that started it I have to say that it's canceled. Due to problems with my personal life, school work, and my mental health not being in the right mindset the past few months. I am really sorry if this disappointed you! But this does not mean you can't dress up as a newsie on halloween, go ahead and have fun! yours truly, @scottyzoomz

NEWSIES HALLOWEEN

So, I have a few questions about newsies Halloween :)

First, I think I'm going to go as Jack Kelly so does anyone know anywhere I could find the pieces for the costume?

Second, is anybody in Ohio doing this? I don't really know anyone in my area who is a fansie, so just let me know if youre in the state of Ohio lol

Newsies Halloween 2024

So I'm sure anyone who sees this is aware of the newsies halloween started by @scottyzoomz

And you know the way alot of people participating are attempting to sell papers? WELL..... I maybe sorta wrote out a whole draft for what the papes could look like soooo

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2024!!

Happy Halloween to everyone who’s celebrating! This is my costume- David Guzman with Puppet Ike. Ike was originally played by Brendon Stinson and Jon Hacker, but I decided to do David Guzman’s version because according to friends and family- I look the most like him.

The puppet is hand made, his head is made of aluminum foil and his body is made of foam. I got some pointers from my uncle/cousin (he's my second cousin but I call him my uncle) Ben. I decided to not attempt a mouth for him because this is my very first puppet and from what I know Ike doesn't have any speaking lines (other than singing and a broom solo). I had fun making him!! Besides his hair. I sewed each strand in with an embroidery stitch called the Turkey Rug Stitch and now I don't have any skin on my right thumb. > p.

Anyways!! I tried to get pins from a bunch of stuff David Guzman was in- unfortunately I don't have any more photos of the bag because it's at my moms and I'm currently at my dads. I also embroidered a logo the Guzman's had on their page on the side- but unfortunately I don't have any good photos of that either.

i'm trying so hard to convince my mother to let me be a newsie for halloween her reasoning is that we're australian, and we don't take halloween as seriously, and it's less costume than 'something scary' same with where i'm going to find clothing i'm convincing my friends to go thrifting with me to find good outfits for it pretty sure imma go as jack (if my mother relents, i've got a couple months to convince her tho so)

Hello Newsies of Tumblr! If you already know about the Newsies Halloween 2024 event. @blinkinbrothershark is the offical writer for the newspaper articles, and I ( @scottyzoomz ) is the official designer for the newspapers. It's just the two of us for now. I know it's almost May and end of the year tests are coming up and it sucks. We need some assistance on the designs, writing, etc. It's just the two of us for now, but any sort of assistance may come in handy, the more people the better.
