In the grand scheme of things, this is not a big problem, but I am very upset about the sales assistant who all but pushed me out of the shop (it was hours before closing time, so don't try it) with the wrong underwear.

Basically, the ones I picked up didn't have a barcode and she got me to go to get another pack to scan in, but there weren't any in both the size and style I wanted so I just picked a pack at random to scan - they all had the same price and code - and when I got back to the self service area she had taken the ones i wanted to buy away and just answered "Yes! 😁" when I asked if she'd put the ones I originally had away somewhere and then hustled me out of there before I even had a chance to put a hanger in the bin they had for them or pick up a paper bag.

I didn't even want to go to the self checkout! There was a one-person queue for being checked out by a cashier, but this wagon insisted I go to self checkout.

So anyway, the upshot of all this is I am stuck with five pairs of borderline unwearable underpants that I hate and I have to wear them until I do laundry because my life is falling apart.

So I got a text from my mum saying she found a copy of the 2023 end of year metal hammer issue that she apparently got me and then forgot about lol. Anyway I already have a copy so if anyone wants it I’ll be happy to post it out as long as you pay postage, I’ll post anywhere. It’s not been opened (obviously) so it’s got all the freebies and stuff including the ghost button. If anyone wants to grab it just DM me and we can figure out postage. I’ll reblog this with an update if it gets snapped up

The thing about Hot Fuzz is that there’s no way you’ll pick up the amount of foreshadowing on the first or second watch. Or even the tenth. I’ve seen it like 13 times and I might have picked up on “I can assure you I won’t be jumping into anyone’s grave” before but I definitely didn’t spot “somebody’s going to get a big surprise at three o’clock” at the church fête until now.
