Chapter 4 of Out of Eden, aka the big Mormon!Klaine fic, is up on AO3!
Summary: Kurt has come out many times on his mission. So why is it so hard to come out to his Elder Anderson?
“I'm Elder Hummel, I'm from Ohio, I come from pioneer stock on my mom's side and my dad is a convert. I was born in the covenant, my favorite ice cream flavor is Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk, and my favorite high school extracurricular was glee club. And if you think that sounds gay, you'd be right. I am. Will that be a problem?”
Read it here: Chapter 4—Of Good Report
Thank you @gleefulpoppet for the header art! I don’t know how she found these screenshots with facial expressions that perfectly match the scenes, but she did!

National Hot Fudge Sundae Day
Fudge and ice cream, one of the greatest combos in the world: head to an ice cream parlor, or make your own tasty, creamy, sweet hot fudge sundae at home.
It’s hard to go wrong with ice cream—no matter what you do with it, it seems like it always results in something delicious. Ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cake, milkshakes, ice cream fondue…need we say more? And one of the few things that can make ice cream even better than it is thick, hot, sweet fudge. Fudge and ice cream…if that’s not a reason for celebration, what is?
Learn About National Hot Fudge Sundae Day
National Hot Fudge Sundae Day gives us all the perfect excuse to indulge in this delicious, sweet treat. It is all about celebrating the invention of this dessert, and what better way to celebrate than eating a sundae?
A sundae is simply an ice cream dessert that usually consists of one or more scoops of ice cream, which then has a syrup or sauce on top, with a number of other toppings added. This could be maraschino cherries, peanuts, marshmallows, whipped cream, or sprinkles. We also see a lot of dessert parlours adding chopped up chocolate bars to sundaes today, with everything from popping candy to candyfloss incorporated into the latest inventions.
Of course, a Hot Fudge Sundae needs to have two critical ingredients: hot fudge sauce and ice cream. After this, there are plenty of different adaptions of the treat. Some people add walnuts to their sundae, in order to give the dessert a good crunch.
You can also add fudge pieces or some chocolate drops. If you want to add some fruit into the mix, cherries are often teamed with hot fudge sundaes. Or, why not add some delicious and gooey chunks of brownie? The choice is yours! That’s what makes a sundae so great; it is all about putting your favorite ingredients into one big dessert glass and enjoying the magic it creates!
Record-breaking sundaes
If you thought you were the biggest fan of sundaes, you may have to concede defeat when you read about some of these World Records! For example, the longest sundae was created in March of 2018. It measured more than 4,549 feet long! It was created in College Station at the Spirit of Texas festival.
The most expensive sundae can also be found in the United States. If you are willing to pay $25,000, you can enjoy the world’s most expensive sundae in New York City at Serendipity 3. The owner of Serendipity 3, Stephen Bruce, teamed up with Euphoria, a luxury jeweler, in order to create the Frozen Haute Chocolate sundae.
The sundae included 28 different cocoas, with 14 of the world’s most exotic and expensive cocoas. The dessert, which is spelled with two Rs, is served in a goblet that is lined with edible gold, and it is infused with five grams of edible 23-karat gold. It is then topped with whipped cream, which has more gold on the top. One the side, you will get a La Madeline au Truffle from Knipschildt Chocolatier. This sells for $2,600 per pound.
History of the National Hot Fudge Sundae Day
Why we call sundaes, sundaes is not precisely known, though it is probably simply connected to the fact that ice cream with nuts, sprinkles, fruit, whipped cream and various syrups used to be a treat reserved only for the weekends.
Sundaes first appeared in the early 1900s, and with a few years there were already countless variations of it, such as the Robin Hood sundae, Cocoa Caramel sundae, Black Hawk sundae, Angel Cake sundae, Cherry Dip sundae, Cinnamon Peak sundae, Opera sundae, Fleur D’Orange sundae, Knickerbocker sundae, Tally-Ho Sundae, Bismarck and George Washington sundae, to name but a few.
American-style fudge was first made in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1886, and its popularity soon expanded.
These two delicious foodstuffs were first combined in 1906 at C.C. Browns, an ice cream parlour on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, and the hot fudge sundae was born. Today, even Google recognizes this holiday as an official holiday!
How to celebrate National Hot Fudge Sundae Day
Are you ready to give your taste buds the treat of their lives? If so, National Hot Fudge Sundae Day could be your new favorite holiday! To celebrate it, you could go out to an ice cream parlor to enjoy one, or you could make one yourself.
One fun way to celebrate hot fudge sundae day is to get your friends around and you can all create your own hot fudge sundaes together. Create a station with lots of different toppings, from brownies and popcorn to sprinkles and marshmallows.
You can then all have a lot of fun together making your own creations. This is a great way to spend time with those you love while doing something a bit different to the norm!
So are you ready to celebrate this deliciously sweet little holiday? We know we are!

Same anon: I support changing the ice cream flavor only because you found something that made you laugh and you added a cute Tarlos headcanon about ice cream. I have definitely heard of and seen New York Super Fudge Chunk. I don’t think it would have taken anyone out of the story and I am sorry for making you think that, but I am weirdly enjoying seeing some of the responses where others are realizing this is a thing that exists. While I am not a fan of white chocolate, the polar bears do sound cool.
Haha thank you 🥰 And please don't apologise. I'd rather know if I've accidentally included a Briticism, like the whole vest scenario from back in the summer! It is pretty fun seeing people react! I don't eat ice cream because I have to be careful with dairy, but if I did, I'd be all for Baked Alaska. Can't resist a polar bear!
I'm glad you like my ice cream headcanon. I can just see the smile on Carlos' face when he remembers what he has in the freezer!

👋 Do you and the mun agree on something? 🙏 Do you think the mun would be able to survive in your world? 🍨 What is the mun’s favorite ice cream flavour? 🍓 What is something you and the mun disagree on?
👋 Do you and the mun agree on something?
"Yeah, we agree on a lot of stuff; bands and shit like that. We differ a lot with me being more extroverted, while they're an introvert. Sometimes that makes it difficult for them to write some aspects."
🙏 Do you think the mun would be able to survive in your world?
Logan: Oh, not a fucking chance in hell.
Sinna: Thanks, Logan. Love you too.
Logan: love hurts.
🍨 What is the mun’s favorite ice cream flavour
"Anything Ben and Jerry's really; I like New York Super Fudge Chunk. I like loads of toppings and stuff. They prefer more simple ones, like cookie dough or regular vanilla."
🍓 What is something you and the mun disagree on?
"Not anything of note. I mean, they don't mind more people then I do. I think everyone sucks, but they're nicer then I am, I guess."

Hello you moody lefty eyebag. 😌 I hate when it's like that, I get so down and start crying, then next thing I know, I have it. Then everything makes sense as to why I was being sad hahaha
Sounds like you were busy today! Wait, so you got hit in the nose today?? Also, what did you make for dinner?
Yeeeeah I am that kind of stubborn person. But! I also just don't like going to the doctors, I hate wasting my time if it's nothing serious.
I think I am more of a sweet person haha. If I go out to eat, the place has to have good dessert. Either I get cake or pie or ice cream. If you visit my house, my freezer is half filled with Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and great value ice cream lol
Nah I think we were 2 shots in. It would have been bad if I threw the shot glass.
Hahahaha that's pretty good! Yeah I know a lot of corny ones and if I ever have a chance, I do puns too. I'm horrible, I love dad jokes.
Hm I don't remember what color the box is for samoas but it's the chocolate with coconut. Like orange on top with chocolate drizzle. Speaking of cookies, I like both. I love it when I make it and it's fresh out of the oven, it's also soft. But then, I love chips ahoy, as long as I have milk to go along with it 😄 and definitely for brownies, I like the middle the most. Weird thing though is that I can't just eat brownies by itself. I always have to have vanilla ice cream with it. How about you, what are your preferences for cookies and brownies?
Also whats your favorite Pringles flavor? I like snacking on sour cream n onion chips or BBQ chips. Oh and cheetos puffs.
I think I wanna learn magic. Being a vampire will get too boring if I live too long.
Would you rather dance the macarena for a whole day or listen to baby shark the whole day?
-CuriousGeorge
haha yeah, when I'm moody like that, I could cry for no reason and I could be very angry even at small stuff. I would say bunch of snarky comment or sarcasms. lol. That's why I always warn others if it's close to that time so they'll know that I dont mean it. hahaha. n then I turn to a nice person again when I'm done with the cycle. lol.
oh no, I didnt get hit on the nose today, thank god. lol. It happened years ago. I think I was at south lake tahoe at that time in spring season, so it was nice out n we played catch but then i got hit and the fun time turned bloody. good thing it hit my nose, i was worried I lost a teeth or two. lol
I made the same dinner, club sandwich from turkey and ham leftover. but today is the last day. I have a 3 days rule in my fridge food storage. unless it's bbq, i read that bbq meat can stay good 5 or even 7 days in the fridge.
yeah i agree with u, going to doctors can be really expensive here.
ah i see,, I'm not really like that, i sometimes check what desert they have but if it doesnt have anything chocolate, i dont really bother to have some, unless if the people who eat with me wants some and wants to share, then I'm down to have desert.
ohhh i looove ben and jerry's ice cream! what's ur favorite? mine is new york super fudge chunks. You should try it! It's so good! it has fudge, brownies, almonds, pecan, choclate bits n white chocolate bits. when i eat that, I always have extra bowl so i can scoop out the pecan and the white chocolate bits out. lol. because i dont like them. aaaand this habit is in my Lost in Assistance series. Y/n has the same habit and Lizzie notice that then when she gets y/n that ice cream, she brought extra bowl for y/n to scoop them out. lol. What's ur fav ice cream flavor?
haha if i were the bartender n u do that to the shot glass, I would hate u. lol.
oh no, u r not horrible, I looove dad jokes. Sometimes they are so funny.haha. u have dad jokes to share with me?
aah yeah, i remember that samoas cookies.
ah okay, thats funny. I never really drink regular white milk. i dont really like it, I like chocolate milk. so i never eat cookies with milk until i tried not too long ago n i was like "fuck, thats actually good. I have been missing it this whole years of my life?" lol. im dumb someitmes. lol.
I like soft cookies n i dont like the crispy ones. i think i like the middle soft part and I dont like to eat it with vanilla ice cream. not a fan of vanilla ice cream. :D i know i'm weird.lol.
fun fact, I have my weird way to eat ice cream. i like to have it in a small ball or cup n i will try to stir the ice cream until it's kinda melted n start eating it or until it's quite melting and just slurp it / drink it. and if i have it on a cone or popsickle, I bite the ice cream. I put this in my lost in assistance's Y/n's way of eating ice cream. I remember some people in wattpad comment in the part she bites the ice cream "bite the ice cream? who bites ice cream? only psychopath." lol.
i like the original pringles or the bbq or the scorchin hot bbq. for ruffles, i like original and also the sour cream one. ooh i remember, lays used to have the ginger wasabi flavor, i looooove that so much. hahaha. it sucks they dont have it anymore.
i dont mind live forever if i can live it with the people i love.haha.
oooh thats easy, i pick macarena. baby shark songs drive me NUTS!. even before I have my daughter. I vowed I will never play it to my kids and told my husband "after emily is born, DO NOT ever, I repeat, DO NOT ever play baby shark for her. I dont care how u do it, u have to avoid introducing her to that shitty kids song." n i said it in serious face. i hate repetitive sounds. lol. n baby shark is repetitive n overplayed. but then I found a different version of baby shark song and it is sooooooo much better, n I let her listen to it sometimes. then he was like wtf? i thought we wont play it ever? hahahahah. n i told him this one is different n more enjoyable.
If u wanna know which one, u can google baby shark super simple songs and u'll see what I meant. hahaha. n now em like to play chase with that song n pretend she is the shark or I am the shark. sometimes she dances to it. the original song the sound and the voice is annoying and it makes me feel like everything spinning but the room gets tighter n tighter n smaller. I dont know why. I told u that im weird. lol
what about u? which one u pick?
Cheerio!

Cooling down for the summer with Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Pints
Cooling down for the summer with Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Pints
Ooh, we sure are feeling that summer heat, aren’t we? Well, it sure is lucky that we can always get our very own pint of ice cream to help us cool down, isn’t it? Aside from giving us some respite from the heat and humidity of summer in the metro, ice cream gives us that little bit of sweetness to perk up our day. I’m especially happy that one of the most iconic ice cream brands in the world…

Hi! I'm verrry low on time and phone battery atm so I'll just keep this cosplay ask short:
If possible, could you maybe do a picture of yourself eating whatever the real-world approximation of Castelia Cones is? It's a bit of a personal favourite niche of Emmet cosplay pictures, haha.
If not! That's alright too. If you see another Emmet I think it'd be very funny for you two to do the spiderman point at each other lol.
I do love Castelia Cones!
I found this verrry good flavor called something like New York Fudge Chunk. I do not know why the name 'New York' seems familiar, but it reminds me of home.
