Ok but, hmm how can I put it into words.

Chb and Camp Jupiter work in opposite ways. The other camp is more dependent on the gods in their internal working such as their cabin system and whatnot but more independent in general and their outside working, due to their demigods being trained as independent heroes.

We do have more independence when it comes to New Rome and Senate politics but the legion is the gods's soldiers. First and foremost. It's not made up of independent heroes but an army. No offence to Percy Jackson but why should we get a reward for doing our job? The families living in New Rome is safe and the gods are pleased with Saturn's defeat; that's rewarding enough.

i recently wrote this cockles manifesto, but after it got a lot of notes and i kept adding more links to it, i decided i should just go through my 8 years of archives and compile all the cockles posts in a much more accessible and navigable way. after everything with the series finale and destielgate, i figured we could use some happiness, and it turns out there are a lot of people who’ve never heard the cockles gospel.

Hi there!

I’m looking for someone interested in roleplaying as Emperor Geta, Emperor Caracalla, Lucius, or General Acacius. Please note, I’m not replacing the partners I already are with—this is just for a new story idea!

Rules:

1.Felix is noticed for his beauty and brought to the emperor's court as a servant. The emperor becomes captivated by him, taking him as their favorite concubine.

2.Felix the servant of one of the emperors having eye contact with Lucius in the colosseum ,them having a secret rerationship which could get them both killed.

3. Felix is a skilled archer sent to kill General Acacius only to get captured and becoming a servant under his command.

is the governing of New Rome separate from the legion? like is there an adult government that manages most things in the city specifically and the praetors just manage the legion or is the city governed by like two sixteen year olds at any given moment

Yes and No. The Preators are the leaders of the legion aka military; while New Rome is governed by the Senate.

The Senate is made up of the centurions and preators currently serving, lares who held the rank of senator during time of death and ten former legionnaires who now live in New Rome and held the rank of Centurion or higher during their service. Every year a general vote is held to rank in/against favor of the current senators and the one/s who have the most dislike of the population are expulsed of their rank.

Matters and policies concerning New Rome are voted on by the senators, and only get passed if a majority of %60 approves it. Though if the policy in question only concerns the city, it can get voted privately between the senators not in service of the army and then gets presented to the Preators in Principia for a final say.

Unless Rome is at war neither of the preators hold more power than any other senator, at least on paper. A few too many riots would occur if the decision makers were 20 years old at maximum. Gods know it's hard to get a budget expansion as it is, I do not envy Minnie's job.

We've not been able to vote in/off any senator due to the extraordinary circumstances of the past few years, but hopefully, if the gods will it, we will be able to this year.

Tl,Dr; The city is governed by the Senate which includes legion members and New Rome citizens but only twelve of the senators are teenagers at most in normal times.

I have an RP character from a fantasy setting heavily based on Rome's empire-building. Most players in the same world focus on other parts of the story -- my character's homeland is by no means obscure, but the details aren't widely known.

Every time a new real world conflict breaks out, I get someone in my inbox either complaining that I'm taking advantage of current events for my silly fictional roleplay, or complimenting me on my insightful and nuanced take on current events.

War is war. Colonization and oppression are colonization and oppression.

My character's story is a war story, and there are things about war that don't change over thousands of years. Any half decent fictional fantasy war is going to have similarities to real world conflicts.

The evil empire canonically uses Latin names. I named my character Alaric. Put it together, people.
